Akuya Astarios

After she finally heard the tiny sound of raindrops hitting the roof, she jumped up from where she was sitting and went outside in a quick manner. She let the rain hit her face. Then she spread her arms out wide, and black wings emerged from her back. She lifted herself off the ground and floated there for a while just thinking. She almost fell asleep which made her drop (less than two feet) back onto the ground. She noticed there were two other people outside as well. She overheard one of them say that they didn't like the rain. "What is so bad about rain? It doesn't hurt anybody, at least that I know of." She looked at the two people. "Wait a second you two were also in the shack. What powers do you two have? I have the power of flight obviously, but I can't see, unless I use my mind's eye."

Akuya, in the rush of everything almost forgot Brisk. She half walked half bounced over to her. First she pointed to Brisk then pointed to where Sho and Ash stood. She indicated to her that she wanted her to join her group. She smiled and extended her hand in a friendly gesture. "Come on. We can all have fun." She smiled again.

Akuya stood there thinking. [I]Hmmm...who else should be in our group?[/I] She thought, then she ran over to the first person who came to mind. Zype. She walked over to him. "Hey Zype, do you wanna join us on our quest to infiltrate one of the bases? You don't have to join us if you don't want to." She added with a menacing grin. She laughed and walked towards the staircase, and looked down into it. "Hey Ash, do you think the hollogram man will get mad at us if we went into his lab?" Akuya decided to call Sigurd the hollogram man because it was easier for her to remember.

This is just one I wrote, after my best friend broke up with her boyfriend of almost a year. It was really sad. [COLOR=Red][I]All I Want Why do I think of you all the time? But love doesn't always last forever. Couples now think they're in love, but wait until their hearts break, they'll come to know, true love only exists through heartbreak and pain. Akuya walked around and listened to the whispered conversations of the others. Everyone was confused. What was this all about? Something about Gangirock's true form? What did that mean? Was there more to the Gangirock besides the power? Akuya looked to Ash, and it seemed to her that she knew more about this then anybody else did. "What do they mean when they say Gangirock's true form?" She asked Ash. She sat down in the meantime and pondered about the dream. [I]Was it real? Is that who we are up against, or is it just another thing to throw us off?[/I] She didn't know what to do. She curled her wings in close to her. It had gotten just a bit chilly in the shack, and she didn't have a jacket so she used her own body heat to warm her.

Pie is disgusting, there is no good flavors, and they just taste disgusting all together. :p

Post your best school exits here. (The best way of leaving school on the last day) I'll start. Being stuffed in a trashcan, having a pencil shoved through your foot, and leaving the school with in an ambulance with all your friends waving at you through the back window. Akuya turned to Ash. [I]What was that dream about?[/I] She thought. Then the hologram appeared. "That was weird, wasn't it? What was that dream about? If you ask me I'm confused." She tore hungrily into some of the toast that was laid out for breakfast, then she grabbed some extra food and started walking around asking people if they wanted anything to eat, and giving it to them anyway. But she always smiled and said have a good day! She walked over to Zype. "Are you hungry?" When he replied that he was she handed him some toast and some grapes then sat down next to him. "What do you make of that dream?"

Basically my outlook on Human Evolution is this. A guy who wanted to be famous came up with all this stuff like humans came from monkeys (which is totally absurd) and stuff like that so he could go down in history. Those who go to church and who believe in God, know that this isn't true, so why, I ask you do they force us to "learn it" in school?

Akuya noticed the boy with the lighter and laughed at the name bestowed on him by Ash. "Zype?" She laughed even though it wasn't really funny, I mean her name wasn't all that normal either, really nobody's was that normal. She walked over to the girl crying. "What's the matter?" She asked with no response except for a gesture at her throat. Akuya sighed and sat next to her rubbing her shoulder to calm her down. She wrote in the sand. "Everything will be all right, at least you can still see everything around you." The girl looked at her in surprise. "The only way I can see is by using my mind. Basically I use telepathy to see the things around me, but I can't speak to others through my mind. That's what I sacrificed to get the Gangirock, and by seeing your condition, I'm guessing you gave up your voice."

I can't stand people who act one way in front of one person, and totally different in front of someone else. I also hate people who try to act like your friends when they want something from you, i.e. money, votes in an election... I can't stand people who act like they are better than everybody else because they have the hottest girlfriend or the hottest boyfriend, or their quarterback for the football team, or head cheerleader. It just gets on my nerves! :mad:

Parachutist: I knew my wife was after me for my money after she tried to push me out of the plane. I showed her. Crocodiles: FOOD! Parachutist: Oh, Darn...

She smiled at Ash and rubbed her arm. "At least I seemed to have gotten their attention." She laughed, then patted her wings comfortingly. "At least I'm not seriously hurt. So what power do you have Ash?" She looked at the others in the room. They seemed to finally start coming around. Some of them even started to pick up the pieces that remained of the table. "Do you think the owners will get mad that I broke their table?" She asked with a grin. "I didn't mean to."

Akuya was getting restless again. She knew she probably looked like an idiot, but she stood up on one of the tables in the middle of the room. She looked around and then said, "Are we not all bearers of Gangirock? What are we doing here? Just sitting here doing nothing? Shouldn't we at least be doing something of use?!" She didn't mean to shout, but it seemed like nothing else was working. She didn't know if it worked, but she hoped she would be able to get somebody's attention. [I]I think I may have been loud enough to hear outside.[/I] She thought to herself as she stood there waiting for somebody to answer her questions.

I think to be fair we should give him the three days, cause like you you he may also have exams... I know I have exams next week, and so won't be able to post for a couple of days...so just give it a bit more time in my opinion, you know there are so many things that could have gone wrong.

Akuya finally got restless and walked outside. It wasn't like anyone was talking to her anyway. She was met by a rush of wind that smelled like the sea that crept onto the beach shore. She walked down slowly to it apprehensive just a little bit. She slid out of her sandals and let the water lap over her feet. Everytime the waves washed away, it was like more of her stress was lifted off of her. She looked to the sun that was slowly setting behind the cottage. She felt the anxiousness build up inside her and as the sun set she lifted herself into the air and soared around the cottage eventually lifting herself above the clouds. She didn't care how much energy it took away from her she just wanted to be in the air. She let herself float down and she landed quietly back on the ground, but she was tired. She didn't know how long she had been up there. She patted her wings for reassurance and walked back into the cottage. Nothing had changed much except for a few more people talking. Again she settled herself onto a couch and became quiet. She hated it but, since no one really seemed to pay her mind she was silent. She just watched and waited for a sign, anything to tell her what else she needed to do.

Akuya looked at the boy. He had a strange aura. She grabbed a sandwich from the girls pack since she had offered. She bit into it and then threw the rest away. She never ate much, and never in front of so many people. She absentmindedly stroked her wings then she remembered why she had them. Revenge is all that was on her mind, but she didn't know what she had to do next. She had found the others, but now she was lost. She didn't know what to do. She closed her eyes and used her minds eye to sweep the room once more. These people didn't seem to friendly, but they knew what she was going through. Like it or not she was stuck with them.

Akuya looked around at all the unfamiliar people in the room. There was only one other girl in the room. She noticed that none of them really wanted to talk, so she sat there as quietly as she could. One man seemed to have lost counciousness, or so she believed, since she couldn't really see what was going on except for what she percieved with her minds eye. She twiddled her thumbs and hummed to herself. She was growing quite bored, so she walked over to the one named Brisk. "Welcome Brisk. I'm Akuya." She smiled politely. "At least we know we aren't the only ones." She laughed half nervously. She stood there for a while trying to percieve if anyone else was as bored as she was or if they even knew what was going on.

The voice told her that she had to find the other wielders of Gangirock, but she didn't know where to go. For three years she trained herself to live with her power and finally she got a lead as to where she should go. The voice came to her. [I]"Look to the area of water and sand, and you'll find where you need to be."[/I] The riddle puzzled her then it came to her. "The beach!" She had a general idea where to go but she was afraid she was going to get lost. She used her minds eye to look around as she watched where she was going. Since it was the day, she couldn't fly just yet, so the first part of her travel went by very slowly. Eventually night turned to day and she was able to take to the skies. She felt much more comfortable in the air, then she did on the ground. She was able to make it to her destination just before the sun rose. To blend in with the crowd of beach-goers, she changed into a bikini top and shorts with sunglasses, though she didn't really need them. She found a shack near the beach and approached it warily. She didn't know wether to go in or to stay and watch for a while, but she went in. She didn't notice the boy or the other person in the room. She went strait to a couch and sat down on it waiting and watching for the others.

She didn't understand why they wouldn't accept her. She was no different than them, except that she had solely survived a massacre. [I]"It doesn't matter, they'll have to like me before they end."[/I] She thought as she passed through the town. She loved to talk, but she hated talking about what had happened. She liked to talk more about the Gangirock. A lot of people said it was fake, it was just something to appease the minds of younger children. She believed in the Gangirock however. She believed that if she tried hard enough, or proved her worth, it would find her. And find her it did. She sat in the tree at the base of the hill, like usual. She sat their lazily looking to the clouds, when her mind drifted. She couldn't tell if she was asleep but it felt like it. A woman approached her with an her palms face up. [I]"You have been chosen..."[/I] [COLOR=Red]"Chosen for what?"[/COLOR] [I]"You have been chosen to wield the Gangirock of flight."[/I] [COLOR=Red]"Really?"[/COLOR] [I]"To use the power of Gangirock you must give up something in return of great value."[/I] [COLOR=Red]"I..I want to give up my sight, as long as I can keep my eye color."[/COLOR] [I]"As soon as you accept this power you must fulfill the prophecy."[/I] [COLOR=Red]"What prophecy?"[/COLOR] [I]"You must promise to uphold the honor of the Gangirock, and to find the other wielders of the Gangirock and join forces. Do you accept?"[/I] [COLOR=Red]"I accept."[/COLOR] The dream ended in a swirl of colors. Akuya didn't feel an ounce of pain except for the ground as she fell out of the tree. She stood up and looked around. Something was different. She looked to the side of her and saw two black wings protruding from her back. Then she heard the voice again. [I]"Your wings are black, because you are filled with revenge."[/I]

Name: Akuya Astarios Age: 16 Gender: female Appearance: Long bright silver hair that goes down to the middle of the back. Piercing Green eyes that can entrance any body. Short for her age at only five foot tall. Dark black wings that protrude from her shoulder blades. She is human. Most of the time she wears jean capris and a black tank top, but she will occasionally where shorts and a t-shirt. Personality: Very active, doesn't like to sit down. Must be doing something or she goes insane. Likes to be rewarded with food. Not shy, will talk to anybody, even an enemy, which most of the time gets her in trouble. Gangirock: The power of flight. She can fly for hours on end, but only during the day. Her wings are black for the nature of why she got them. She wanted power for revenge, and revenge is represented by the color black. How did you obtain Gangirock?: Akuya was able to see the Gangirock, and so she was able to attain it without much harm to her, but with a great sacrifice. What did you lose after obtaining Gangirock?: For the power of flight, Akuya lost her ability to see. She's not completely blind. She can see with her mind's eye, but that only works during the day, so she is usually grounded during the night. Bio: Akuya lived in a town called Culinos for seven years, before it was attacked, and her clan was killed. She vowed revenge, but at the age of seven she couldn't do much. She learned through various people that some were able to see the Gangirock, and at the age of thirteen she went saw it for the first time, and when she did she lost her sight. But she could fly. It took three years of training for her to be able to use her mind's eye to see, but she still couldn't fly yet. When she returned to the village after attaining her newfound power, she was rejected and kicked out of the village. She has had to defend herself and look after herself for only three years, and she still isn't used to it. For the first two years after attaining her power she couldn't hide her wings. She was forced to take to the sky during the day, and to lay low during the night, but as her knowledge of how to control her power increased she could slowly hide them. It was painful though. The process was short, but the wings had to retreat into her body to hide, so she had to be strong to do it, but most of the time she does it.
