Those are pretty cool for MS paint. You say your not a graphics wiz but if you want to be you should look into getting Photoshop CS2 or something. I like the RP pic 1 better then RP pic 2 it seems to just hold my attention more I guess.

Ya, I love Rez and of course Parappa the Rapper. As to why I love them I don't really have an explanation. Those are the kinds of games you forget to blink and in some cases breath. Just really addicting I guess.

Well it isn't all that bad I guess to go to the beach. I don't really care for the beach itself that much but I don't hate it either. I went to the beach with some friends last weekend actually and it turned out to be an alright trip. I live about an hour and a half away from the beach and it is considerably cooler by the beach then where I live so thats a plus. Oh and you can't forget the half naked chicks and the occasional faulty bikini (I might add that there were 2 cases of this on my last trip).

I can't believe that nobody has said anime or manga yet. Well I guess my anti-drugs would include watching anime, playing my guitar, and sitting in front of my comp doing various things. They keep me busy and I thus have no desire to do anything else except those things.

I'll throw my vote towards Gilgamesh I guess. I mean come on he's just cool isn't he.

[/QUOTE] I dont think that this is the case since at the time that Koizumi had arrived and asked what they did as a club she told them that it was to gather time travelers, espers, and aliens and have as much fun with them as possible. She probably knows everything subconsciously I think.

I just don't understand I guess. How can someone have feelings for an animated character that match up to those for a real person.

My top 5 anime would probably have to be something like 1:Elfen Lied 2:Serial Experiments Lain 3:Samurai X Trust and Betrayal 4:Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu 5:Love Hina In no specific order really its 2 hard to do that Elfen Lied is one of those must see shows for anyone that likes anime. It has so many different things in it that people look for in an aime. It has romance, lots of gore and action, a good dark story and characters that you can love. Anyone that hasn't seen it should look into it for your own good. Serial Experiments Lain is a show unlike any anime that I have seen so far. Its a great story that anyone who is into their computer and e-life can really enjoy. It sorta makes you think. Samurai X Trust and Betrayal episodes are some of the best anime you can find. Not often are english dubs better then the original japanese versions but I think this is the case with these. If you ever watched Rorouni Kenshin and haven't seen these yet then you really are missing out on something great. It has a sad and intense story all about Kenshin's dark past and how he came to get the crossed shaped scar on his face. Trust and Betrayal definitely take a more serious side then the show does. Iriya no Sora UFO no Natsu is a short but good Drama, Love-Romance, Science-Fiction show. It kept me on edge of my seat wondering how things were going to turn out in the end. If you are into the romance thing then u definitely watch this show. And last is Love Hina. This is just an all around good uplifting show to watch. Not so much for romance I think really more for just comedy but is entertaining none the less. One of the shows that I've enjoyed the most out of all the anime that I have seen to this day. [B][SIZE=1]Well my parents have got divorced when i was 12 years old. I'm now 18 and I have a 20 and a 22 year old sister. My dad got hurt on the job and has been disabled since I was 9 months old. The only thing I can remember about before they were divorced is them fighting and screaming about some dude named Robert and me and my sisters listening from the hallway. Or going on vacation and listening to my parents argue the whole time. They were married for like 20 years so it was not like a newly wed breakup. After they got divorced my mom moved into a little track home, and my dad moved into a 24 foot travel trailer at a trailer park. It was decided that I would go live at each house (my dad rented a place after a few months) every week since they still lived in the same town. My mom had tried a few times to get the courts to take away us from my dad saying that we were scared of him and all sorts of things. We did have to go to counseling a few times, but in the end it was decided that we were fine (as I could have told them from the start). The impact on the family is really huge. My dad and my grandma on my mothers side used to be really good friends and got along really well, now every time I go to my grandmas house she just says things like "when is your daddy going to drop dead" and things of that sort pretty much the whole time I'm there. My parents both always did nothing but talk bad about each other after they divorce. I assumed that they were just trying to get us to hate the other parent. Both have told me things about the other that I really as their child did not want to know. Someone talking bad about your parent (even if it is your other parent) always pisses you off. Holidays are always crappy because both sides of the family always celebrate on the same day. That's only bad because everyone lives at least an hour away from each other, so me and my sisters are always driving all over the place and can't really stay for very long anyway. Since I turned 18 I've pretty much being staying at my moms house only because I can just stay in my room there and not be bothered all day long since nobody is really home. Both my sisters have moved out already and one has 2 children. The person named Robert that started everything had moved in with my mom not long after she moved to this current house. At first that sent me into a rage that she would have the nerve to do all the things that shes done, but after all these years I have found that I just don't care anymore. I don't talk to him ever in all the time I've lived here. He's fat and worthless in every way possible. Both my parents want to move from my home town when I graduate which is soon. I don't want to move with either of them. I did not go to school today because my mom let her boyfriend take the car that i usually drive and then did not tell me until the morning right when I was going to leave so I had no ride (she car pools). I don't stay with my dad because he does nothing but ***** and moan to me about everything that anyone ever could ***** about. He's always talking to you the whole day and it gets old fast. You can't even shut your door because he just opens it up and keeps going. If you just try to sit down he puts you to work. He is obsessed with everything being clean so we are always cleaning the house or something. He's also obsessed with his garden and working around the house and in the yard. Divorce is a horrible thing it can cause a lot of problems in so many different ways. If you say that its better for kids for the parents to get divorced then for them to stay with parents that fight all the time, then I'll have to say you are just wrong. Things get said about everyone when everyone in the family is taking sides so now nobody really gets along that well anyway. I would much rather have lived with parents who hated each other and fought all the time rather then lived some twisted life for 6 years. To the parents thinking about getting a divorce I say that it would be better to stay with someone that you don't get along with (since you did make the decision to get married anyway honor it) then to screw up the lives of everyone around you. I myself have grown up a mean person and tend to go overboard when people get on my nerves, my second older sister dropped out of high school and has 2 kids with a guy she isn't married to and hes been in jail before. My oldest sister is going to graduate from USSC. I don't really know how it affects the kids I guess, but I urge the parents to tough it out and stay together anyway. SO!! My opinion is that divorce is a bad thing and has a huge negative effect on not only the children but everyone around them. (sry didnt mean to tell my life story >.

I'll keep this post short. I think that a lot of people are mistaking an emotion more like "a longing for reality" for actual feelings of love for fictional characters. This can be a hazy subject since those types of feelings always seem to be, but I think this is the case. p.s. True Angel I assure you that I'm no robot. Despite what you may think, I am a human being and thus have had feelings of love in my lifetime. >.<

Well there are a lot of good posts on this topic but i think iv come to the conclusion that its pretty much impossible to have feelings for an anime character the way you would for a real human being. That is for the average person with semi normal experiences in life. I dont know about if its impossible all together seeing as iv never felt anything like that b4 myself, but ill say that maybe it is possible for someone who experiences some sorta extreme trauma to feel "that way" for an anime character. I guess a trauma if bad enough could make a person do quite a few things out of the norm. Indeed the greatest times of my life were spent watching Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life, and Pete & Pete and we cant forget Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! I believe that humanity has taken a step up in my eyes just based on your awesome lineup of insanely great shows... However I feel the need to add Camp Anawanna! and Are you Afraid of the Dark as all these shows are wonderful!!!

The wise words Ikillion speaks are obviously true... pie is > then cake any day of the week and quite frankly im insulted that someone would say otherwise. Strawberry and Cherry pie would have to be my favorite but u can never forget good old pumpkin pie. Pie can go good after eating most things and it will still be amazing in every respect, but to me at least cake tends to loose something after eating some fewds =\

well im not a big fan of english dub anime but i will admit that they at least get more ppl into it that way... i guess it doesnt matter much what they show as long as someone gets drawn like the rest of us =)
