Homosexuality: Discussion of
Saya Minatsuki replied to Inuyasha Fandom's topic in General Discussion
I don't think I could properly pass on my thoughts in this thread, I'm fairly open about my sexuality I'm bisexual and my cousin's a lesbian, so all I'd end up saying is the usual "We have the right to be with who we love" argument. -
Anime Parents And Anime: Do They Approve?
Saya Minatsuki replied to Rachmaninoff's topic in Otaku Central
I live with my dad and he really doesn't care, he actually watches some of them. Even if he wasn't into it he'd let me watch it because 1) Its only a show 2) I'm going to watch it anyway. I felt bad for the kids with parents like that, I think part of it comes from not trusting themselves from when they were young. Kids should have the chance to experience different things in this world, not just what the parents like. Everyone has there own interests. -
I like the plot to InuYasha, Naruto's mildly humorous. I just hope SJ doesn't do that to Black Cat because I love that anime and I don't want to see it get slaughtered.

Fillers drive me crazy! Especially when an anime has the potential to be so much better without them. Naruto and InuYasha would both be so much better if they didn't have fillers, Naruto: 220 episodes, six movies and a sequel series. InuYasha 162 episodes, and four movies. Those are only the most infamous two when it comes to fillers. I prefer animes when they're shorter, and more to the point, D.N. Angel, Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok... stuff like that. What do you think?

I used to, and I'm still working to lessen the scars. Keep in mind, it may help a little now, but in the long run those scars handicap you, you have to be much more cautious and it could make future endeavors more difficult. I started smoking a year before that and I figured if I'm got two methods of stress relief why not pick one. I chose the one that people won't see the effects from. I'm not telling you to go buy a pack of cigarettes, I'm telling you to find something else that helps cope with stress. Draw, play games, listen to music, do something that won't be a permanent reminder of the bad parts in your life. If those times are so bad, why would you want a constant reminder of them? *edit* Not to mention I fractured two of the knuckles on my right hand. Self-harm is no picnic, it causes a lot of problems down the road. I've had problems everyone does, but the last thing I want to do now is carry them around now. I don't like having to wear long sleeves in the hot humid summer just because my past is revealed all down my arm. I've changed since then and so have my views on self harm. I don't want to have so many reminders of the bad times that I don't remember the good.

..who gets physically ill from play/watching certain PS1 games. Spyro KILLS me, and I love that game too. Eventually, if I play it enough, I build up a tolerance for it but its still strange. I was watching my brother and his friend play twisted metal and I had to stop and take some Tylenol because i could feel it taking its toll on my head and stomach.

Do you have anything that helps you draw? I need some kind of sound, preferably music, even more so Japanese music. If I'm in complete silence I become too anal about it and it takes all the fun away. The sounds help me relax a little so i can just go with the flow and enjoy myself. I'm Sorry if This Isn't the Right Place for This.

*slight bow* Thank you. -
How does one get their user name changed? Do I have you PM an administrator? If so, who would that be?

I too am starting a manga. If it helps, I'll tell you what I've started with so far. I figured out the genre and theme, and I'm working a little farther on the plot. Try to make sure you don't run into cliches, and avoid too many similarities between your manga and others. I'm working on the script and getting a general idea of what the characters and the panels will look like as I go along. Well aside from the characters who I planned out already. Practice the things your not so good with and use your imagination. Good luck.

On another site it seemed a lot of people had problems with shows like InuYasha, Naruto and FullMetal Alchemist because of their popularity. Personally I don't think its right to judge a show based on how many people like it, and I mean that towards ANYTHING. People need to create their own opinions and I admire you all for your ability to watch anime and judge it based on your personal taste in anime. I almost forgot, I thought Gungrave was ok but it really didn't draw me in that much. Then again I've only seen teh second volume *laughs*. Ok while were on the subject of "worsts" is their an anime you like/love but think it would be better without a specific person? In most cases even those people you think are pricks are necessary to the show and are their because you're supposed to hate them, BUT I JUST CAN'T STAND SIMCA FROM AIR GEAR!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah I hate Archer (fma) and Creed (Black Cat) but at least they serve a purpose, Simca is just an annoying....... *rambles on about Simca including many many terms not appropriate for people with innocent ears or weak stomachs*

Yeah I forgot One Piece sucked too, it gives pirates a bad name and just seems a little "two-year-oldish" for my taste. As for DB's comment on Ninja Resurrection I haven't seen that anime yet but I loved the metaphor.

Yeah I know we ALL have those animes that we CAN'T STAND, what are some of yours? As for me I HATE LOATHE AND DESPISE Bo bo bo Bo bo Bobo or whatever the crapper it is, I guess i don't find the idea of crime fighting nose hair very appealling, and I think the art for Lupin the Third is atrocious (i haven't seen the show so I can't pass full judgement). Also for Kappa Mikey (some can say its anime because of a few of the characters) that one's annoying, the little amount of anime in it isn't that good, at all, and even the American characters are crappy.
