1. I never really started getting into Digimon until the end of Season 1 and for most of Season 2. I just really enjoyed Season 2 because you got to see all of the characters from the first season grown up. Mimi was just TOO adorable with her pink hair. She was so precious! I also liked all of the "relationships" that developed. The only thing that irritated me was that
Ken and Yolei were the only "digidestined" to actually end up married to one another. Why couldn't Mimi and Matt get together?
Which brings me to another point of irritation. In one episode, it was sort of implied that
Sora had a thing for Matt instead of Tai. WHOA. That was so annoying. It was supposed to be SoraxTai and MimixMatt!
Am I the only person who agrees with this? Anywho, as you can see, I never really watched the show for the actual Digimon and their transformations. I like to watch the characters develop and grow. I never really got into season 3 and I haven't even seen season 4. Oh well. ^_^; I guess I kind of had grown out of Digimon by that point. Gotta love that theme song, though. Heh.
2. Oh, how I love to talk about my pets. ^_^ At HOME: Bandit. He is our oldest dog, since Bridget died in January. He's a beautiful white with black spots Pitt bull and he's SO SWEET! Well, to our family he is. He can tear a person apart on command. ^_^ He's my big baby and his nickname is bean dip. He's very well trained and I feel very safe and secure when he's near. Maybelline. She's our other bulldog and she's a goldish-red color. I'm kind of scared of her sometimes because when I walk out the backdoor, she runs at me and barks until she realizes who I am. She's my little sister's dog mostly, so I don't pay her too much attention. She got her right after I moved out for college. Chester. He's my BABY! He's the cutest chihuahua in the whole world and he's dark brown and white. (I have some pictures up on the OB Pics Site.) He's really funny to play with. When he wants you to love on him, he shows it. He will turn each cheek and have you kiss them as if he is some kind of royalty. I love him. ^_^ Honey. She's the mommy chihuahua and she's honey-colored, lol. She's also named Honey because she was Hercules's (RIP, dear Hercules) mate. She's an undie dog and an anklebiter. She'll love on you while you're sitting down, but if you stand up and turn your back on her, she'll get ya! She's weird, too, because she can climb up on our top bunk and jump up on top of our TV. You'd just have to witness it. Burton aka Squirt. He is from the latest litter of Honey and Chester's puppies. He's still very young so he is EXTREMELY hyper and loves to lick people all over the face. He's solid white and he has a scar on the top of his head, but we're not sure what it's from. He aggrivates that crap out of me most of the time, but lately he's just been really cutesy. He climbs up on the top bunk with me and curls up, so of course I think that's adorable. ^_^ Angel. She's my cat. My dad hates her, but she cleaned all of the mice out of our house in a month's time, and we had them pretty bad. She's a very eccentric cat. She likes to run out the frontdoor when it's open, hoping to find her boyfriend (who unfortunately got ran over a couple of months ago). Whenever she had kittens, she would growl and hiss whenever they got near her. She's a beautiful kitty. Her name is Angel because she has spots on her back in the shape of wings. Jesus. He's not Jesus, he's Jesus, you know, like the Spanish pronunciation? We call him Soosie for short. He's one of Angel's kittens, the only survivor. The others just went missing when they were outside. He was attacked by Honey when he was very small, so the front of his body is a bit smaller than the back of his body; therefore, he walks funny. But he's the sweetest cat ever and he comes to you when you call his name. He likes to curl up and sleep on me. ^_^ He's precious. At COLLEGE: Lancelot: He's my third Beta fish. This one is red with green highlights on his body. He's very cutesy. The first one I had was Rufus (red) and then Aragorn son of Arathorn (blue). Now I have Lancelot and he's pretty lively. Of course, since I've been home for the past two weeks, he's been living in a bowl, so he's not very happy with that. I gave him clean water yesterday, though, so he cheered up. My Other Pet: Pancho. Pancho is Ryan's chihuahua that looks just like Chester in coloration but a lot like Honey in body shape. He's my darling baby and I only get to see him once in a while when I go to Ryan's house or Ryan brings him over. He's very sweet and happy and whenever I'm near him, he just wets himself with excitement. When me and Ryan get an apartment together, we're going to make sure it's somewhere where we can have our Pancho. ^_^
3.
Oh Xander the lines is "My name is Milna Montoya (not postive on the spelling of the name). You killed my father, prepare to die."[/SIZE']
Actually, from what I gather by watching the movie with the captions turned on, his name is Inigo Montoya. I THINK. Or Enigo. Or something stupid to that sort. I love this movie, as well. I wish I owned it, but it comes on TV enough to be able to catch and watch. I loved that the girl's name was Buttercup. She was just too cute. And I like when the guy fell down the hill and he's all like "As...You...Wish..." That has to be THE catchphrase of the movie, in my opinion. It' sjust one of those movies that's fun to watch, heh.
4. Well, I'm sure there are some children who ADORE the spotlight and enjoy the competitions. Like anything else, you have to work for it, and so they will get frustrated and upset at times. But if they really didn't like it, I'm sure they would absolutely refuse. They wouldn't do the little walk like they were supposed to if they didn't want to. And from what I can tell, the children that start doing these things at a young age gain a LOT of confidence. Not necessary in themselves, but in front of crowds and audiences. And that is a good thing to have later on in life. I never participated in a beauty pageant. My parents never even thought to allow me to, either. I'm kind of glad though, but I hate my negative body image. I'm 5'4" and I weigh 135ish pounds, but I think I am fat. I'm not bone-skinny, but I KNOW I'm not fat. Yet I can't stop thinking of myself as thus. I'm glad that I don't have a shallow boyfriend because he loves every inch of me and that is the only thing that keeps me feeling beautiful. I'm so glad to be out of high school because I constantly thought I was ugly. Now I can go a week without brushing my hair and still think I'm attractive. I am so weird.
5. I have so many CDs that I absolutely enjoy listening to, but just off of the top of my head I CAN think of three CDs that I always carry with me when traveling. 1. A Perfect Circle, Mer de Noms. This is my absolute favorite CD. I acquired it from my friend Anna back in the day. See, it's such a long and complicated story, but every single song on the CD has so much sentimental value for me, especially "3 Libras," which is my favorite song of all time. Anna originally got the CD from Ryan, who thought that she just HAD to hear it, and eventually she just gave it to me because I borrowed it so much. I borrowed it because I loved the music and because I was infatuated with Ryan. Anytime he went on one of those stupid trips where I couldn't talk to him for a week or more, that's what I would fall asleep listening to. Now, if I hear the CD and we're together, I just want to make out. ^_^; 2. Stone Temple Pilots, Purple. I have four STP CDs, but this is one is my favorite. It has "Interstate Love Song," "Vasoline," and "The Big Empty" on it. I've always loved those songs when I was growing up, and of course, there is a lot of sentimental attachment to them, but for various reasons. I absolutely love Scott Weiland; he has such an amazing voice. This album I acquired from Ryan, who let me borrow it a long time ago because I would always want to listen to it while we were riding in the car. This is before I starting "borrowing" his things. Now that CD is as good as mine because he's never getting it back. 3. Soundgarden, A-Sides. This album contains all of my favorite Soundgarden songs. Now, don't get me wrong, Superunknown was a spectacular album, but my favorite Soundgarden songs all on one CD? It couldn't get any better than that. When I was a kid, I used to be obsessed with all of their songs, especially "Pretty Noose." I just remember walking around my Nanna's house out in the yard with my walkman, waiting for Q106 to play that song. Now I can hear it anytime I want. ^_^ Yeah, my musical tastes all fall pretty much in the same time-frame (mostly early 90s rock), but what can I say? I'm a sentimental kind of girl. Music attaches itself to all events in life and I wouldn't want it any other way. ^_^
6. Well, I'm 19, and I'm currently involved in my longest relationship, which is at the two year, two month, and 4 days mark. I met this guy when I was a junior in high school and a few months later I asked him to go to my Junior prom with me. About a few weeks after that, we started dating and we've been together ever since. We've had our ups and our downs, but I don't think I've ever been happier. The only thing is that my dad has been giving me a really hard time lately because he's not particularly fond of his parents which he describes as "weirdos." I don't care what he says, though. I think his parents are weirdos, too. :P
7. I think I spelled the title of that right. Well, it's a series that is out right now (Tokyo Pop, obviously), and it's about this guy who ends up having to be the caretaker of a fairy named Fanta. Basically, she predicts that he's going to have 108 "evil affinities" aka bad relationships. It's pretty cute so far, judging on the first two volumes, even though it's predictable and cliche. There's the evil fairy, Medea, the strange "creature" friend, Goodfellow, and the usual bad boy lead character. Any one else interested or picked up the book and read it?
8.
Seriously, _is_ there a CLAMP series without shounen/shoujo-ai? Lol, not really. Even Angelic Layer makes me think of shoujo-ai because of Misaki's overly hyper friend. I can sense a shounen-ai pairing in Tsubasa already, too. :/ Don't know about XXXHolic.
Well, just thinking off the top of my head, I think that Chobits is pretty straightforward with the lovers. No girl/girl or guy/guy. So there you go, there's a CLAMP series. Of course, I always thought that Chobits stood away from the rest. It's actually a pretty unique series, especially in it's style. *Shrugs*
9. Arianna stood in front of her large bedroom window, allowing her a view of the city below. As the city lights outside illuminated the darkened room, she sighed deeply. She absent-mindedly ran her slender fingers slowly down the white silk of her kimono, then gently reached up and tucked a loose strand of her auburn hair behind her ear. From behind she appeared as an angel ascending to heaven, her figure glowing softly in white. Her mind was troubled, and for once in her life she was feeling regret. She couldn?t put her finger on what was bothering her, but something felt wrong. Slowly emerging from the shadows, Adam embraced her from behind, his arms tightening around her waist. He gently caressed the back of her neck with his lips, and she turned her body towards him, folding into his arms. ?Something on your mind?? he asked, his fingers running over the gentle folds of silk. ?It?s nothing,? she said, her eyes drifting to the floor. She tried to distract herself from his gaze by studying the embroidery on her new rug, vines and roses endlessly intertwining. She never truly realized the beauty of that rug until that moment. ?Regret? Sorrow? Lonely? Unfulfilled? All of the above?? he offered, his hand reaching up to her face, forcing her to look into his eyes. ?I can read it in your eyes. I know when something is wrong with you, Love. You?re not as feisty as usual.? He allowed himself a small chuckle, perhaps to try and lighten the mood, or maybe because he was truly entertained by his statement. ?I do feel a certain?emptiness, here,? she placed her hands over her heart, ?but I?m sure it?s nothing. I think I?m just fatigued from not being able to sleep.? She regretted that statement, because she knew what would come next. ?Haven?t been able to sleep. I see. But nothing is wrong? Nothing is wrong at all? Nothing is keeping you awake at night, Arianna?? She knew he meant business when he called her by her first name. ?Adam, please. I?m just feeling out of sorts. I feel as though something bad is about to happen, and it is weighing down on my consciousness. I don?t think it?s regret. I have nothing to regret.? She said this last statement with a certain firmness, as though she had to convince herself. Adam eyed her skeptically. ?Love, I have something for you to do. I believe that it will help you sort out your emotions.? Arianna didn?t speak, but finally broke his gaze, staring directly behind him into the darkened canopy of her queen-sized bed. ?I have an assignment for you, and I know it will be difficult. You should only be gone for a week or so in the States, but I am sure that it is sufficient enough time for you to accomplish what you need to,? Adam said, turning away from her. He walked across the room to her vanity, picking up a folder of papers. She stood watching him solemnly as he brought them over to her; she took them from him reluctantly. ?Adam?? she whispered as she opened up the folder and began to read, ?I can?t do this.? He closed the folder and took it from her, sitting it back down nearby, and taking her hands in his. ?Arianna, you can do this and you will do this. I prepared this assignment especially for you. Now, I want you to arrive at your destination earlier than I have scheduled, as I?m sure you have some unfinished business to take care of. This assignment is easy enough for you, as you?ll pose as one of the actresses for the film. You know as well as I that you?ll only be needed for a short amount of time and you?ll be able to do your job while you?re there. Please, Arianna, don?t let me down.? Adam released her hands slowly, pulling her face close to his. She looked again into his eyes and faked a smile. ?That?s my girl,? he whispered, bringing his lips to hers. Atlanta, Georgia. It was a big enough city, with its tall buildings and rush-hour traffic. A few colleges and luxury hotels were nestled in between, and Arianna found herself staying at the Hilton. When looking out the window, she could see the streets below, an array of artistic creativity gone awry, skateboarders littering every street corner and the roofs of low buildings. She was on the fourteenth floor, lucky for her, as she was slightly superstitious. She also had a great fear of elevators and had extreme dislike for the open-view class elevator that carried her to her floor. Her heart dropped to her stomach every time. She packed light, as she was only going to be in town for less than two weeks, making a cameo appearance in an up-coming porn flick. It wasn?t anything big, which was slightly disappointing, but Adam had set it up so she could in the meantime assassinate a man by the name of Scott Floyd. Apparently he had something to do with Adam?s toy company and he had crossed a line. He knew that he was going to be pursued and killed, so he thought he could hide out in the United States. Silly man. He should know better. From what Adam had told her, this man was staying only a few floors up from herself, the seventeenth floor. She wanted to take him out as soon as possible so she could finished the flick and hurry back to Japan. Being in the state of Georgia was the last place Arianna wanted to be. At the age of eight, Arianna was taken from her mother. Her father had left them before she could remember and their home was a run-down trailer in the middle of a mediocre trailer park. Arianna was never lonely for company, as there were plenty of children around her age, but none of the children did without as much as Arianna. You see, Arianna?s mother was an alcoholic, and she really didn?t take care of her daughter as she should have. Arianna didn?t seem to mind, but her teachers did. She was removed shortly after the Department of Family and Children Services came out, landing a home with a preacher and his wife. She hated that life, but didn?t find herself missing her mother. But now that she was back here in her home state, she found herself feeling sentimental, a feeling she wasn?t used to. Adding that on top of the anxiety of her mission and the emotional duress she had been suffering, Arianna was a complete mess. She learned from Adam that her mother still lived in that worn out trailer, taking in a few men to help her support her habit. She was not only an alcoholic, but her live-in boyfriend was a marijuana dealer. (?Only in the state of Georgia?? Arianna muttered as she read that line.) She seemed to be doing well, but she was on the look out for her daughter. After learning from one of her boyfriends of Arianna?s career, she began to start an investigation. It was too bad, since Arianna no longer lived stateside, but she was about to pay her mother a surprise visit, as soon as she was finished with her mission in Atlanta. ?As soon as I?m done with this damn film,? she said, driving down I-75 to the building where the filming was to be done. ?I wonder what mother would think of her wonderful daughter now?? The film was pretty kinky, involving lots of fun costumes. Arianna?s scene called for a French maid outfit, better than any of the one?s she?d ever seen in the Victoria?s Secret catalogue. For such a low-budget movie, she was very impressed. She learned that she?d only be needed for about three days, much quicker than she?d originally thought, and she?d be able to return home soon after, as long as she had accomplished her mission. After the first day on the set, when Arianna returned to the Hilton, she decided that a dip in the pool was exactly what she needed. She put on her favorite bathing suit, an expensive designer one, white, with wide-width ribbon and fun little wrap-arounds. She knew it was more than $1000, but Adam was very interested when she mentioned the suit. She reached the pool, happy to see that it had a diving end. She did a very graceful dive, emerging from the water and flipping her hair behind her head. She wiped the water from her eyes and swam a few laps, ignoring the older men that were sitting around watching her. As she stepped out of the pool, she glanced around and noticed that her victim, Mr. Scott Floyd himself, lounging poolside in a blue lounge chair. She decided that this was the perfect opportunity and made her way quickly out of the pool and up to her room. There, she had stashed a nice little housekeeping uniform and one of those nice silver platters. She carefully put it on, drying her hair, and stowing her whip underneath, attached to her leg. She made her way up to the seventeenth floor, to room 1706, where Mr. Floyd was staying. She wasn?t sure if he had yet returned, but she decided to knock anyway. ?The best way to get away with something is to act like you own the place,? she told herself quietly, a grin creeping across her crimson lips. She carefully knocked on the door, the tray in her free hand. She stood there for a few seconds before she heard shuffling behind the door. She then heard footsteps approaching and a man answer, ?May I help you?? She smiled brightly and answered cheerfully: ?Housekeeping!? The man fumbled with the door handle for a moment, before cracking it slightly. When he saw her, he began to open the door wider. ?Oh good, it?s about t?.? Before the man could finish his sentence, Arianna slammed the tray into his face, knocking him backwards onto the floor. He cried out, but she quickly shut the door closed behind her. The man rolled over onto his hands and knees, and Arianna quickly lashed out her chain whip, cracking it hard onto the carpeted floor. The man whimpered loudly, holding his bloody nose. ?What do you want with me?? he asked weakly, trying to turn his head and look up at her and crawl away from her at the same time. ?You know damn ******* well why I?m here, Mr. Floyd,? she said, kicking him over once again onto his back. He scrambled away from her, his back up against the wall, not knowing where to go. The man?s eyes got very wide. ?Adam?? he said, his face turning white. Arianna smiled charmingly. ?Bingo,? she said, snapping her whip hard and wrapping the chain around his neck from where she stood. The man began to gasp for breath and she pulled it tighter, yanking him down to the floor. His face went from red, to blue, to deep indigo, and he finally quit struggling. She waited a minute and then snapped her handle fiercely, unwrapping it from his bruised skin. She leaned over and checked the man?s pulse. ?Deader than a doornail,? she said, grabbing up her tray and placing her whip back where it belonged. She opened the door and looked at the man once more before exiting. ?Enjoy your dinner,? she said, closing the door quietly behind her. After Arianna?s last morning on the set, the director of the film stopped her to speak with her. He thanked her for being a part of his film and hoped that her appearance in it would give him the recognition he was hoping for. She smiled and thanked him for having her, and told him it was a pleasure to be a part of the fun. She then left, still in her French maid outfit, heading out to her car, an orange and black Dodge Charger, and sat down tiredly in the seat. Her suitcase was already in the back, and she was ready to hit the road. She was heading for South Georgia, to see her mother for the first time in fifteen years. She put on a tan leather jacket over the outfit, deciding that she wouldn?t bother to change clothes for her mother. Besides, her mother knew what she was, and she had nothing to be ashamed of. Early that afternoon, Arianna pulled into Wells trailer park. The owners had a nice blue trailer sitting atop a hill, surrounded by oak trees. Past that, there were rows and rows of dirt and gravel, a multi-colored array of trailers in between. She hadn?t seen the place in so long, and yet recognized much of the old landmarks. The place had changed, but she knew exactly where she was going. Left, Right, and then there, on the left, the old green and cream mobile home. There was an old rust colored Chevy pick-up sitting in the front yard. The place hadn?t changed one bit. There was still the same old doghouse, still the same rusted swing set, still the same pile of cinderblocks in the back, surrounded by weeds where her first dog was buried. The small peach tree still grew up the side of the right-hand fence, its fruit never ripe enough to eat. She stepped out of the car and took a deep breath, closing the door quietly. From inside the trailer she heard the yapping of a small dog. She made her way to the front door and began to have second thoughts about not changing out of her French maid outfit. Before she could open the broken screen door and knock, the warped front door was jerked open, a skinny man looking out at her. His eyes got wide upon seeing her and he choked over his words. ?Is Eliza here?? Arianna asked quietly, her skilled eyes taking in her surroundings. ?Who are you?? he asked rudely, before a larger woman came and pushed him out of the way. ?Bill, who the ****?s at the door?? the woman slurred, appearing in place of the skinny man. She looked at Arianna and smiled, a Budweiser beer bottle in her hand. ?Well, I?ll be damned!? she said, grinning from ear to ear. ?If it ain?t my goddamn good-for-nothing porn star daughter, Aria!? Eliza pushed the screen door open, pulling her in. ?Well dammit, don?t just stand there, get your *** in here and give your mother a hug!? Eliza squeezed Arianna tightly in her chubby arms, smelling strongly of cigarettes, alcohol, and marijuana. Arianna hugged her mother back, feeling outside of herself, as though the entire situation was unreal. Eliza stepped back to take a good look at her. ?Aria, baby, this is my boyfriend, Bill. He?s been taking care of me for the past two years. We?re engaged to be married this June.? Her mother was beaming, so excited to see her little girl. Bill generously shook her hand, giving her a starving glare, as though she was just a piece of meat. Arianna smiled as nicely as she could. Her mother just sat there, took a sip from her bottle, and then finally asked the question. ?What the hell are you wearing, girl? Did you just come home from the strip joint?? she laughed loudly, Bill sniggering along with her. ?Actually, I just finished filming on a set in Atlanta this morning,? Arianna answered, beginning to feel slightly embarrassed. ?Well good for you, baby, I?m glad to see that you are making a living doing something fun, not like those ******* cunts that took you from me, took my goddamn baby and gave her to the ******* preacher?s wife! Goddamn Christ-loving hypocrites!? Eliza said, sitting down at the rinky-dink kitchen table. Bill sat down on the other side of her, a chocolate colored longhaired Chihuahua jumping up into his lap, growling slighting at Arianna. She frowned at it, not being very fond of small dogs. ?So, Aria, where you been living these days? I been looking for ya, but they just couldn?t trace you down. Found a record of where you had been charged for the murder of a man named Richard, but you got off. Couldn?t find much else on ya except all of your porn videos. Bill found those, though, and it wasn?t very hard. Didn?t realize how popular my baby was!? Eliza laughed. Arianna stared at her, trying to keep a natural smile on her face. ?Oh, I?ve been living here and there, taking what flicks I can to keep myself making a living.? Her mother continued to beam, as though nothing she said would disappoint her. Bill disgustingly continued to stare at her, his eyes gazing at her French maid outfit, her garter belt, her black thigh-high fishnets, her shiny stiletto high-heels. Bill just grinned at her when he noticed she saw him staring, and lit a cigarette. The smoke soon enveloped the table as her mother went on and on talking. Arianna just began to feel nauseous, but continued to smile and answer her mother?s questions. She then noticed her mother got really quiet, and saw that she had started crying, tears streaming down her drooping face. ?Oh baby, I never thought I?d find my Aria again. I thought that you?d just forgotten about your mother and made a better life for yourself. I always hoped that you?d come back and see me, just one time if that was it, just come back and see your mother one time, so she would know what you looked like, and see how beautiful her baby girl had grown up to be.? Arianna reassured her mother to the best of her ability, her nausea increasing as she became increasingly more uncomfortable. ?How long are you going to be here, baby?? her mother asked, wiping her face on the sleeve of her shirt. Bill looked interestedly at her at this question. ?Just a little while mother. I have to go home.? That was all that Arianna said, and her mother and Bill sat quiet. Arianna didn?t mention Adam, didn?t mention Japan, and didn?t even want to think about how as soon as she was back in her home with Adam that he had promised her a vacation with him, somewhere tropical. She didn?t want to think of these things because she still had that gut feeling that something bad was about to happen to her. She thought it was because something would happen with Mr. Floyd, but killing him was easy enough. Did it have anything to do with Bill? He was still sitting there ogling her goods. Arianna just sat there, scratching her arm distractedly, trying to ignore the tension in the room. Suddenly, the Chihuahua jumped from Bill?s lap, barking insanely at the door. Arianna jumped slightly, rolling her eyes and Bill stood up. ?Better go see who that is,? he said, standing up to answer the door. He was half-way there when the door was kicked open and a gunshot was fired. Bill fell backwards onto the floor, a bullet through his chest, and the dog ran off to the back of the trailer. Eliza screamed and Arianna leapt aside as a second shot was fired, hitting her mother directly in the head, splattering her brains all over the kitchen. Arianna stared in disbelief as she saw two forms emerge in the doorway, holstering their guns. ?Joshua and Jamie,? she said, knowing who they were the moment she saw them. ?Arianna Love,? Joshua said, tipping his hat. Jamie merely nodded, the two of them standing there and watching her. Arianna knew that this was about to be a battle to the death, the two of them against her. She sighed deeply, pulling her chain whip from her leg and letting the chain fall heavily to the floor. ?I know what you guys want,? she whispered, looking at the dead forms of her mother and Bill, ?You guys want to ******* fight.? The two men didn?t answer her, but stood solemnly looking back at her. Finally, Jamie spoke up. ?Nice get-up,? he commented, ?Whip a part of the costume?? He chuckled, but Joshua didn?t even crack a smile. ?This whip is about to bust your ******* head in,? Arianna said, gritting her teeth. At that, she quickly jumped away from the table, doing a cartwheel in between the two men, who were suddenly wielding blades. They swung at her simultaneously as she passed through them, landing on her feet in the living room with catlike agility in a deep lunge. Her whip came swinging quickly behind her, hitting them both in the back of the legs, stinging terribly. They turned in her direction, lunging together. She jumped once more, kicking one in the head with her stiletto heels as hard as she could, seeing that it was Jamie who fell to the ground, a bleeding gash on his cheek. Joshua, however, turned around quickly enough to slash her slightly on the leg, tearing her delicate flesh through the fishnets. She screamed angrily, snapping her whip back around and cracking it hard on the ground before bringing it around again and wrapped it around Joshua?s arm. His blade went flying, just as Jamie stood back up, spitting a mouthful of blood at her and bringing his blade into position to defend Joshua. ?Gentlemen, I suggest we take this outside,? Arianna said, smiling at them. She cracked her whip hard on the floor once again, busting a hole in the cheap wood below. She did a back handspring out of the small area of the living room back into the kitchen, grabbing up Joshua?s blade before retreating out the opened front door.
10. I really didn't even like that feature much on Yahoo. Sure, when I was in chats it was nice to have different versions of my name to mix it up a bit (Kass_Queen_of_Plushies, Kasumi_of_Team_Rocket, lol), but now I've lost touch with all of the friends that I made on there because they just name-changed into oblivion. Besides, like others have said, it's so confusing when just ONE member changes their username. That's why I'm content to change up my look a bit if I need something different.
11. Well, I've been watching Friends for as long as I can remember, and I'm GLAD that they finally ended the series. Not that I don't want to see more Friends (like every network television station doesn't air reruns every single day anyway), but I'm just glad that the series finally gets the closure that it needs, and that Ross and Rachel finally got back together, and all of that good stuff. It was fun to watch the characters mature over the years, but you can't drag out a series forever. I think that ten years was really pushing it, but I was pretty happy with the finale. Of course it was cliche because we all knew what would happen, but it was still pretty good. The only thing that bothered me was that you could REALLY tell that Courtney Cox was pregnant. Oh, the irony.
12.
I LOVE THE BEATLES ,QUEENS AND THE ROLLING STONES!!!! Ok, I did it!! I've said it, and it's true, I've downloaded Queens and Rolling Stones songs, and I have the Beatles 1 collection of their gratest hits, and I enjoy listening to them!!! And, I sometimes, sing them while taking a shower, even though I also sing other stuff, wierd stuff as well, ok, I must confess, I sing "Acuarius" (Hope I spelled that right...) and old song that goes "When the moon is in the 7th house, and Jupiter alines with mars, then peace will guide the planets, and love will steer the stars...bla bla bla" I also sing old rock and roll and soul songs, I guess I just like them...I can't believe I just said that
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!! What is that something embarrassing to indulge in? There is nothing wrong with being a fan of truly good rock music. Sure, they are old bands, but they are GOLDEN. It would be one thing if you were embarrassed to admit that you liked Mandy Moore or Backstreet Boys, but to be embarrassed because you like REAL MUSIC?! What is wrong with the world today?! :nope:
13. This thread is almost two years old. If you want to start a topic on this series, please start a new thread if there hasn't been one made already. You can check by looking in the Anime Directory. Posting in threads that are this old (where the post quality) is atrocious. How in the world do you people even FIND these things? Thread Closed.
14. Welcome to the OtakuBoards! Like I've said to a couple of other newcomers, you should really get a grip on reality. I'm SURE you can control lightening, among other things. Now, on to the important stuff. READ OUR RULES. It is one of the biggest concerns of the OtakuBoards community for all of our members to have good post quality. Obviously, by looking at this post, I know that the rules so far haven't been a concern to you. I suggest you read them ASAP. For one thing, introductions threads are not allowed. Another thing, make sure you use correct spelling and punctuation. I know that once you read the rules, you'll have a wonderful time here at the OB. Welcome, once again, and happy posting. Thread Closed.
15. Well, let's see here: In August of 2002:
Queen Asuka. Well it all started one day when I decided that I was going to be Queen of the World and Anna was going to be Empress. And Asuka was my favorite anime character and Misato was hers so our nicknames were (and still are) Queen Asuka and Empress Misato. BUT mine became my user name and I love being called QA, Asuka, Queenie, and all that good stuff, so I'm really happy with my user name. But my real name...is Tori.. I don't like it all the much but oh well....
And in January 2003:
Me and Anna used to argue over who was going to take over the world. I said I was going to be Queen of the World and she said she was going to be Empress of the World. We are also big into Evangelion and since I look like Asuka and she looks like Misato, we were Queen Asuka and Empress Misato. About that time I joined the OB. After a while, I hated my name, but then I realized how much I loved being called Queen, Queenie, QA, and stuff like that. I just think it's so cute. And I'm the Queen of Plushies. So it's all good. ^_^
And I don't think my reasoning or story has changed very much since then, so yeah.
16. I have no idea why I'm starting this thread, as I'm sure no one else but me has read this book, but I thought I would give it a shot. It's a novel by Margaret Atwood and it takes place in the future, pretty much, where genetic engineering is used for just about everything. Basically it's narrated by a man who calls himself "Snowman," and he tells of his life, what happened that things are the way they are now, and where these so-called "Crakers" came from. Basically it's the end of the world and throughout the novel, we get to find out how. It picks up pretty quickly and is very interesting, not to mention frightening for me, the Genetics major. In the beginning of the novel, one of the first things we're introduced to is the "pigoon," which is basically a pig that is genetically engineered to grow human organs for transplant. It may sound a bit farfetched, but scientists are actually working on this project today. Has anyone else read this novel and would like to discuss different aspects of it?
17. Thanks Adam. You're a good man. Sorry to sound so brash earlier, like I said, but it was pretty frustrating before I finally figured out exactly what was going on. ^_^ Edit: Okay, and the one post per person thing is sort of aggrivating, since I just typed this really long response to James and some a-hole that posted in his entry and then it was like "only one post per person." Am I the only person who finds this inconvenient?
18. I HATE THE NEW COMMENT SYSTEM! Not only can you only put 250 characters, but then when that isn't long enough to make an entire post, you can't post a second post in a row to clear it up. Also, html is not working for me either. I really wish it would just not have a limit on it, as I like to leave nice and long intellectual responses instead of short and spammy replies like "wow ur so cool, dude." Please is there something we can do about this? I'm not trying to sound brash, I'm just pretty upset.
19. I am currently attending college here at the University of Georgia and majoring in Genetics. Man, it is a pain in the butt. I was going to change my major to Art after this semester, but then I realized that all of the core classes that I've taken (38 hours worth) would be absolutely of no value as an art major, since art majors don't need to know about Chemistry, Biology, or other stupid things, such as Psychology. Once I get my Bachelor's, I really have no idea where my plans are from there. I hope by then to be married, and if so, by then I'll be ready to start my family, i.e. have children. SO, do I go to grad school or become a loving mother? It would be VERY hard to do both, so as of now, at the end of my freshman year in college, I really don't know. Sometimes I even question why I'm in college. I seriously think the only reason I am is because I CAN be. Not because I really NEED to be. Or maybe I do. But then again, maybe I'm just wasting my time. You know, I really don't know, but maybe one day I'll be the one to give you some genetic counseling when you find out that you are a carrier for some awful genetic disease. Heh.
20. Well, this is an interesting topic. When it comes to my hair, I go all out, but I guess I'm pretty thrifty as well. As for Shampoo, I only use Pantene Pro-V and the big bottles are pretty expensive. I say I spend about $12 for both the shampoo and the conditioner. I also use this Aussie product that smoothes you hair and helps tame frizzies, which runs for about $5. I paid $20 for my straightener, $10 for my blow-dryer, and $3 for my hair brush after my other one got transmission fluid ALL OVER IT! As for hair cuts, a friend of mine's mother does a wonderful job, so I just let her do it for about $12. Then, when I highlight my hair, I do it myself. I use the Loreal kit, which runs about $12-$15, but it works wonderfully and doesn't damage the hair too badly. Clothes? I hardly ever buy clothes. I own one pair of jeans and one pair of khakis. I like to pick up cute shirts every now and then, mostly at Hot Topic, but I'm not the one usually paying for them. *Coughs* I have an obsession with shoes, but I only buy them if they are pretty cheap. Right now my favorite pair are some Old Navy black flipflops with straw bottoms and little beaded straps. I think they were $12.50. I think what I spend my money the most on is food, lol. I'm always hungry. As for make-up, I only wear eye-liner, and liner usually lasts for a pretty long time. All the Avon make-up I have my mother got for me, such as my eye-shadow and my mascara. I also wear a bit of shadow, but I think I just stole the stuff I'm using from my little sister. I have a few shades of lipstick, but it's pretty rare for me to ever wear it. I don't know, do I sound thrifty?
21. Being in a long distance relationship is VERY trying, and only works if both sides are willing to give in a lot and to keep things together. I've been dating the same guy for over two years and when I moved away to college, putting a 3-hour driving distance in between us, it made it very hard for us to see each other. We only see each other twice a month, and even then it's tricky to get together. I know that 3-hours doesn't seem like a long way, but try making that drive at 10pm in the dark with nothing to see but pine trees. If this girl means that much to you, I don't see why you shouldn't try to have a relationship, but I personally think in the end it wont be worth it unless you are planning on getting married sometime soon.
22. Queen Asuka

Majuub

Haven't I already closed one of your threads? You have pretty decent post quality, but you're still breaking a nice chunk of rules. Firstly, I hope someone PMs you about the Majuub dilemma that you are having, but, secondly, favorites threads are not allowed, not to mention you've already posted this thread and it's been closed. If it's closed, that means DON'T DO IT AGAIN. If you want to post about DBZ, you can look in the official threads directory and see what's going on there. If there's nothing, start your own thread. You can also try looking our old Dragon Ball Z archive and searching in there to see if this question has already been answered. Thread Closed.
23.
:D  I LOVE ADULT SWIM :D
And you know what I love? People who read the rules and have good post quality! From now on, I hope you put more thoughts and efforts into your posts because this is SPAM. And Spam is deleted.
24. Okay well, I hope this Uub character reads your nasty threat and takes it to heart and pays you all the mighty respect you deserve! In the meantime, I'm going to close this thread here and hope that you can continue on and read the rules so that you will know that this is against the rules and really wont generate any decent discussion. I really do hope someone can answer your question, but yikes. Thread Closed.
25. That's because Shampoo is the coolest character on the entire show. I also enjoy Nabiki's character. She's so sneaky and laidback. She's the only one in the Tendo family that seems to be sane (though she does have her moments). I think it's funny to see how she's always hanging around Kuno. I always thought that they'd be a very cute couple. I LOVE the episode were Tsubasa comes (the cross-dressing kid?). The part where he was dressed up as the mailbox was absolutely hilarious. Oh, and the episode after that one, the one with the cursed bra. I got that videotape for my birthday a few years ago and I never had some much fun watching anime with my friends as I did that day.
