I saw El Hazard myself. That was a funny show. I really like Ifurita. She's so pretty and her character is really sad. Of course, I saw the OVA's and not the TV series. In the TV series, Makoto falls in love with Rune Venus instead of Ifurita, and Ifurita looks completely different but undeniably cute. I recommend that show, too, even though it reminds me of Tenchi because of the way that so many girls are after Makoto...let's see, there's Ifurita, Nanami, Shayla, and I think Rune Venus, and plus there are other girls, too...not to mention the little girl that is in love with all the other girls...I can't remember her name... And I LOVE Ranma 1/2, too. But no one seems to talk about it either. Shampoo is the GREATEST!

I'm a fan of the PPG, but I highly doubt that I will go see that movie in theatres. I'm a bit too old I think maybe, and it would be really annoying to be surrounded by a million little kids. Anywho...yeah I agree with those other guys that that's what the movie's supposed to be about. My favorite PPG is Blossom. She's pink and she's in charge and she has long beautiful hair and she's a genius. She's the best one. Everyone else either likes Bubbles or Buttercup because "She's so cute..." or "She's so mean!" But everyone knows that Blossom is truly the best... Okay I'll get off my tangent, I think I'm going a little bit senile after reading all that stuff about Yoda...*dies*

family member that pisses you off the most

I'd have to say my sister, Franki. She's a big huge BRAT...and she always steals my clothes and stuff and I hate that more than anything. She smokes and she stinks up the entire house when she does it. Like it isn't bad enough that both of my parents do it too. She's literally a dumb blonde and I just want to smack her sometimes. But she's not here right now and it's so peaceful being here all alone...she's coming home this afternoon though...*dies* But yeah! And PLUS, she's really rude to my boyfriend Ryan and that pisses me and him off. But ya know, I gotta love her because she's still my sister no matter what. -
Originally posted by James It's kind of off topic, but look at that Steve Irwin idiot...do people really think that all Australians talk like idiots and enjoy rubbing up against crocodiles? Of course not. And do Australians somehow claim that his antics are unfair, because he's a traditional stereotype? No...of course not.
I don't judge all Australians by Steve, but I do like watching that show...*sniffles* I feel so stupid for being such a big fan, but it's just so frickin ADDICTING! *screams* But on topic, yeah, that guy just wanted to find something to complain about. Arguing for the sake of arguing if you ask me. -
Originally posted by BabyGirl I disagree. Nothing ever conflicted until Episode II. To say that the novels don't compliment the "main" story, or even become a part of it, is being presumptious. I recommend you read the books before you comment on it ;) Once you read the books, you'll realize how much you begin to love them and the characters, and you'll begin to accept it as part of the "main" story.
I agree with you so much there, BabyGirl. The novels are so awesome and it so cool to be able to see what happens and to have all those loose ends tied up. And the novels based on the movies are really good, too, because they are so much more detailed than a movie could ever want to show. I remember reading all those novels back in the beginning of middle school and I wish that I could go back and just start reading them all. BG, have you read The Courtship of Princess Leia? I'm pretty sure you have since your RPG character is from Hapes and you know all their history and so forth, but that is my favorite one for some reason. I love it when Han and Leia get together....*sniffles* Okay, I'll shut up now..

Jessica walks home alone, after a very long and sickening night. She glances over her shoulder at the night club where she had just finished performing. Her skin was clammy and sweaty and her blonde hair was plastered to her head. If she wasn't so skilled as a dancer, she'd find a decent job somewhere else. She was only working for the money, anyway. Jessica: This is no way for a Jedi Knight to support herself...it's so incriminating and shameful... She continued to walk down the streets of lower Coruscant, pulling her sheer hood close around her face, not looking at any of the locals as she got cat calls at every step. There was always some alien on a corner trying to buy her "services" for the night. She understood a multitude of languages as the yelled at her. Finally she reached a place where she could hail a taxi to take her to the higher levels, to her own home at the top of a huge skyscraper. She intructed the driver where to take her and they sped off. As she sat behind him, she began to probe his mind, looking to see what kind of past he had. He used to be a politician, and he got cheated by a close friend, driving him into the poor house. She shook her head. When the reached her stop, she stepped off onto the platform and handed the driver a tip. She thanked him and was on her way. She stepped gently into the elevator and pressed the button for the highest floor. She loved living at the top of the apartment complex, although it did cost her a little extra. She rode in silence, no one else being in the elevator with her since it was so late at night. When the elevator stopped, she walked down the hallway to her own apartment, her home. She opened the door and locked it securely behind her. She began stepping out of her clothes immediately, pressing a button beside the door and hearing her shower start up. She sighed heavily and walked into the bathroom, leaving the door open behind her.
Originally posted by Boba Fett As for the Epsoide II book I thought it was even better than the movie. It made everything so much more interesting and more vivid in my mind. Queen Asuka I find it hard to belive that you are not up to speed on Star Wars, if you joined you would be better of than some of the people who signed up.........
Yeah, I agree, I thought that the book was better, too. And I believe that I stated that earlier. You got a whole lot more background information on EVERYTHING, so it was so much more interesting. You just couldn't SEE the intensity in Anakin's eyes, although it was described in detail in the book. Thanks for the compliment, I never figured anyone would think that about me. But I did join the RPG and I look forward to when it starts.

What in the....the back of a box of Lucky Charms? So that's where they got it from...the ripped it off of the back of a box of cereal...that's hilarious. Is LC like sponsering SW somehow? Geez...that's crazy...

I was just wondering, since there are alot of music fans here, how many of you used Napster and were basically screwed by Napster? I was so mad whenever Napster shut down. I really loved getting my music from there. And I know there were a million other places just like Napster, but it just wasn't the SAME...I never HAD that many songs off Napster, but I know of alot of my friends who did and were completely screwed...so yeah...I was just wondering what other people's thoughts on this were.

I think that maybe she might like him just a little. Suzuka is such an awesome character, but her and Gene don't seem like they'd fit well together. I think that Gene and Melfina were just fine together. I don't remember Gene ever saying if he was in love with Melfina or not...but I always thought he was. Was he?

I haven't gotten to hear any except for the ones that are on GW, but I love "Just Communication". I downloaded it from Napster, back in the day. It's a pretty song. I think the lyrics are cool, too.

I could have sworn that Cid was a character from FF7, and not 8...but maybe I am mistaken somehow...someone needs to seriously get this RPG rolling with a serious storyline, or I see it failing right here and now...

Queen Asuka replied to Amphion's topic in General Discussion
I am out of school now and I am officially a SENIOR! My last day of school was Friday, May 17th. And I am very glad to be on break at last. And you guys that have to go to school longer, you shouldn't complain, you also get to start school later than everyone else. I believe we go back to school the first week of August...it all evens out. -
I liked Luke a lot better after he became a serious Jedi guy. Like in the books after the movies, I like his personality better. But in the first movie, Yeah, Luke was kind of annoying....But you have to admit he did get better.

AAAAAAAAAAAARRGG I JUST SPENT ALL THAT TIME TYPING IN MY SIGN UP AND THEN I CLICKED SUBMIT REPLY AND IT MADE ME RE LOG IN FOR SOME REASON AND MY ENTIRE THINGIE WAS LOST! So yeah, I'm going to try that again later...I'm just going to write down everything I want to type in...*sighs deeply* Okay here we go...now I should have this right... Name: Jessica Floyd Age: 17 Species: Human Location/Homeworld: Born on Naboo, but currently residing on Coruscant. Weapon: Lightsaber that she built herself. It has a deep sapphire colored blade. She also carries an unsheathed knife strapped to her thigh. Alliance: Neutral Vehicle/Ship: None Force Capabilities: Capable of fighting with two lightsabers and is also trained to fight with a doubled sided lightsaber. She has the ability to use telekinesis and she can also read people's pasts. (I don't know if that's legal, but it has a nice ring to it...) Character Description: She has long silky platinum blonde hair that falls perfectly straight to her waist. She has deep emerald colored eyes. She wears a thigh length white form fitting dress and white leather knee-high boots. She wears a sheer white over-coat that flows to the ground. She wears a diamond jewel on a silver chain, the only connection she has to her deceased mother. She is 5'5" and is very slender and limbre, with incredible flexibility, since she was trained as a dancer. She is quiet and mysterious and her eyes have a faraway look. She is very passionate and believes strongly in herself. She looks for companionship and can be aggressive if need be. Background/Bio: Born on Naboo, she was kidnapped at the age of 6, along with her mother, and sold on the black market as a slave. Her mother was killed, but she was spared because of her young beauty and incredible flexibilty and agility. She was sent to Coruscant and trained as a dancer. After living there for a year, she ran away, only to be found by the Jedi Knights. They began to train her at the age of 7, and she was very mature for her age. She presently lives alone and continues to be a dancer. There...I think that about does it...Gawl, that took forever for me to come up with...Grrr....

I like Chewbacca because he's useful. And he's Han partner. And he actually is FUNNY. Jar Jar just isn't. And the Ewoks, I like them because they're cute and they look big huge TEDDY BEARS! I could just hug them all to death. But yeah, it's nice to hear different opinions sometimes. To each his own... And JCB, I believe that you didn't make it up. But it's just funny the way these names come out.
-
Well, I think I might actually join then. I've been doing RPGs for years, and when I first got on here I did a few, but lately their have been none that were worth the time of day and they're always the same things over and over again. And then I'll sign up for one that sounds interesting, but it never gets started and that just irritates me. But I'm interested in yours, so I'll probably join. Original plots are always good. And YES, you should read the novels, especially when you have nothing better to do, like during the summertime...the storylines are almost always interesting and it's good to expand on the universe of SW and found out what happens to them all later.
-
I just don't understand how people can like him because he's not cute at all and he's so stupid. He messed up so much stuff in Episode I and he's just plain out UGLY. And he can't even speak right and I LOATHE when he says "Mesa..." I hate that so MUCH! I mean, take Chewbacca...he was awesome because he was actually GOOD for something. He was smart and he was a mechanic and he could seriously kick some butt. Although the only one who could understand him was Han, he still was capable of getting his point across with his Wookie grunts. But Jar Jar....ARGH...I just don't see the point of such an idiot...
-
Ah, well at least you're trying to start something original. I read everyone's profiles on there and I was thinking about signing up for it myself, but I knew that I wouldn't be able to post in an RPG all that much, even though it sounded really awesome. And I really need to brush up on alot of my knowledge because it's been years since I've read alot of the novels and I feel so rusty. I haven't read ALOT of the books, because I never really cared about the characters that weren't the main characters in the original SW. I just read the novels that followed the stories of Luke, Leia, and Han and their kids and so forth. I never read far enough to see Luke get married, although I know he got married to Mara Jade, which bewildered me...
-
I HATE him, too. I stated my opinions about him in the other thread. But yeah, the names are VERY different and VERY strange. Although I think Leia's name is pretty. And what you said is probably right...or else all his names have some sort of significance from some strange language that we all just don't know about...someone should seriously look up the history of SW names one day, and post on here what it says.
-
No prob...Just trying to be helpful and informative...Yep, I'm a stupid nerd. What do you need the name for anyway? Your RPG...are you the one that started it?
-
Originally posted by James Burja Gemel. LOL So this is how Lucas comes up with those idiotic names...
Yeah, that's about right. Those are the weirdest names in the entire universe. But I've always wondered if Luke Skywalker's name had some sort of significance, as does Han Solo's...? I mean, if you think about it, both of them could...

Yes, Anna, I think that you ARE all alone...but seriously, I never liked it either, but there was a song that I liked....*laughs madly as she made Anna replay it over and over and over* But yeah, it's alright. I only like the songs that are remakes of popular songs...Like "Pride" by U2, and "Pinball Wizard", that REALLY (well I think REALLY) old song...but yeah...Anna, I don't think anyone's going to believe you unless they hear it for themselves...
