Well, I really have no time to go look or try to comprehend what's going on, but I'm closing this thread. I can only assume you joined the OB to advertise this, and so I'm sorry. Maybe you'll stick around and read the rules. Threads like this are not allowed. Thread Closed.

Well, I'm pretty much a goody-goody girl, so I'd have to say that I go for the heroes. They are so sweet and innocent and I'm just a sucker for the good guys. The villians are always so stereotypical and it's hard to find a unique villian in an anime series. Of course you could say that heroes are the same way, but I think they are all different in their own fun little ways. ^_^

Well, I changed the title of this thread to make things a bit more clear. It may have started off as a thread discussing which anime you liked best, but I'd have to say it's pretty much turned into "Do you think Eva is best, and if not, why and what do you like?" I don't know. I think it's a good call. ^_^

I still don't agree that Evangelion is a mecha anime. When I think of mecha, I think of huge machines battling it out for the fate of the world and some pilot who's all about winning and getting glory, blah blah blah. Yes, the Evas are biological. They are not machines in any way whatsoever. And the beings that they fight aren't machines, either. How can you categorized it as thus, when it's clearly not mecha at all? Mecha means MACHINE. These beings are alive. They wear armor, that's about it. And Eugi, this thread is about Evangelion, not what you think the greatest anime series of all time is. Please read carefully before posting next time.

As Kia wandered deeper into the forest, she came upon a small lake, well hidden until approached. Sun shone straight into the crystal clear waters, making the small ripples sparkle like diamonds. She stopped to gaze in wonder at it's beauty and seclusion when she noticed something she had never seen before. A beautiful white-haired woman was in the water, her hair so long that it covered her from behind. Her skin was almost as white as snow as well. Upon further inspection, Kia noticed a white horse standing beside the water, drinking. It seemed as if the horse had a glowing, mystical quality about it. She took in a deep breath. As soon as she did, the horse looked up and she immediately realized it was a unicorn. She kicked up frantically, running into the woods. The white woman turned to look over her shoulder at the woman who had approached. "Oh my, we have visitors, Aramina," she spoke, walking slowly out of the crystalline waters. She found her clothing and slowly stepped into it, waiting for Kia to approach.

I actually haven't heard any new Limp Bizkit past Hot Dog Flavored Water. And I really liked that album. Yes, I admit, I used to be a huge Limp Bizkit fan. Me and my sisters pop in their albums every now and then when we want to sing some funky songs and laugh our heads off as we drive down the road. It's really sad to hear that they've gone so much down hill. They still have Borland, right? ^_^

HOLD UP. I love STP. And all of their albums are good. Yes, the first two are the best, but the other ones definitely hold their own as well. As for them breaking up, it doesn't surprise me. Last I heard, Weiland was in prison again. He's still a very sexy man....*Stalks him* As for the Eminem thing, I was thinking that it probably had something to do with him dating a black girl before I read the rest of the post. Now that I see it was, I really don't see the big deal of it. He was mad, and when you're mad, you do crazy stuff. I draw or write in my diary to release tension. He wrote a rap. It's the same thing.

Before heading to the club, Valentine had showered and blow-dried her hair, standing in front of the mirror in her lacy sweet-nothings. She frowned at herself, wondering what to wear. She walked out of the bathroom and opened her closet, glancing at the things hanging there. She noticed a few dresses that she didn't get to wear too much and grabbed a pale blue one trimmed in a thin black lace. It was kind of low-cut, but she was sure it would be fine. She picked out some black heels and began to dress. Once finished, she stood in front of the mirror, putting on a dark shade of lip stick. She didn't wear it often...this was her special lipstick. She had on thick black eyeliner and her beautiful blonde hair cascaded softly down her back. She was ready to roll. She made her way outside and looked at the clock inside her car when she started the engine. It was almost 8:30. She had taken a whole lot longer than she expected getting ready. Oh well, better late than never, she thought, putting in a Stone Temple Pilots CD and heading towards the club downtown. Parking took longer than expected, but before the hour was over, she had made her way into the club. She strained her eyes, looking around for Julia. She heard snatches of conversation (Something about a fight?) and finally saw her at a table nearby. She also saw that Gen was with her. How did she manage to get him to accompany her? Valentine thought and she made her way over to the table. Just then, Gen turned towards the alternate entrance where she noticed three people walk in. It was the twins and their friend. She quickly made her way over to Julia and tapped her on the shoulder. -
Well, just to set things straight, Evangelion is not a mecha anime at all. And also, Nadesico is a great series, but it's still the same cliches over and over again. One guys, a horde of women who are after him, yada yada yada. I LOVE the series, don't get me wrong, but I'd never put it above Evangelion.

Anime NightWarriors: Darkstalker's Revenge

Well, maybe I'm just biased because I'm such a HUGE Tekken nut. I mean, Tekken is one of THE best videogames ever to me. I used to play it constantly and I miss playing it, actually. I was so pumped up about seeing this movie that it barely disappointed me. Maybe if I sat down and watched it again I would see the crappy quality, but hey, Nina was awesome. So therefore, I enjoyed it. (And they had the Offspring! That wasn't crapppy music! Oh wait, you didn't mention music. ^_^; ) -
I thought I would just point this out since it hasn't been mentioned yet. In psychology a while back, we talked about whether or not children's testimonies could be trusted in court. Research shows that children sometimes make up stories about what happened to them, based on exactly how the questioner puts the questions forth. I wish I had my book with me, but here's a case we talked about: A woman who taught preschool was arrested for child molestation. The children testified that she danced on her desk naked, took their clothes off as well, spread peanut butter on their genitals and then licked it off. Now granted, this is all going on during the busiest hours of school when anyone could walk by and look in on her. Later, she was let off because the stories weren't true. But it's a highly controversial thing right now to believe child testimonies. So therefore, I think he's innocent. Maybe the kid's parents put this story in his head and he actually began to believe it. Later on if I have a chance, I'll read up on this again and post a more accurate post. By the way, I enjoy Michael Jackson's music. He's an amazing dancer and he's very talented. And this is ludacris:
Originally posted by FirePhoenix the guy is a fucker, and deserves to be put in prison for the rest of his mislead life. I mean, first he makes himself look like a girl, not to mention turned himself white (and for all you people who believe it's a skin condition, it's a fact that that condition happens in blotches and big spots... not all over) and then he starts molesting kids.. honestly, he was cool once, but now he's just a ***
What does looking like a girl and having a skin disease have to do with whether he molested a child or not? That just sounds like prejudice to me.
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve It's a glitch in the Matrix, no need to worry.
*Laughs* I see that you and I are thinking on the same level today. ^_^ I have Deja Vu all the time. It's pretty weird, but I always have strange dreams and so sometimes I truly do forget what was reality and what I actually dreamed. Every now and then I get a spell of Deja Vu and it'll usually be something that I dreamed. My mom has had this happen to her, as well. She remembers having a vivid dream and then it coming to pass. Neato, huh? ^_^

Well, Jones County wasn't too bad, at least, it never bothered me. We had a pretty loose dress code (people still can't stand it...and neither could I. You had to tuck in your shirt if it touched your belt. That was crappy...) and we weren't allowed to carry bookbags around school or to class, and we had to have our hand book signed as a pass EVERYWHERE we went, but I enjoyed that sort of atmosphere. It keeps idiots from wandering the halls (which they still manage to do every now and then) and you don't have to worry about bookbags. The dress code, heh. I never once had to tuck in a shirt, although the guys were usually tortured constantly if their's wasn't. Not too bad. I say a school is only decent if it has nice rules and can actually enforce them. It's not like they were suffocating us. ^_^ College...do we even HAVE rules?

Anime NightWarriors: Darkstalker's Revenge
Queen Asuka replied to DarkLordDragon's topic in Otaku Central
I'm a bit wary about the Darkstalkers anime because anime that is based on videogames sometimes leaves a lot to yearn for. Street Fighter is mainly what I have coming to mind, along with Tekken the movie (wasn't TOO terribly bad...) and the Fatal Fury series (again, not too bad, but not SUPER GREAT, either). But since I'm such a big Morrigan fan, I will have to see this series eventually. :) -
Well, it does make it more realistic simply because Shinji doesn't have that stupid "I'm a hero, I can do this, as long as we stick together we'll accomplish anything!" attitude. He's just such a quitter and he never wants to go through with anything, never wants to take one for the team. He's selfish, he's a crybaby, and he's a young adult. Heh, such fun times. And I'm with you, Evangelion IS the best anime series of all time. ^_^

Elda stood by the railing, her hands gripping it tightly. She was smiling happily, her eyes closed, the breeze lifting her blonde ringlets behind her. She reached up one of her hands blindly, almost as if trying to wrap the gentle winds around her fingers. She finally let it drop, turning around to look for Ensis. He was making a tour of the ship and she really didn't like the idea of him being out of her sight. She passed by a few crewmembers on the way, all male of course, and each would give her a little wave, or wink, or sometimes even a catcall. She was used to it, working in her father's tavern for so long, so she just smiled back sweetly or just ignored the scarier ones. The thought of leaving her father came into her mind. She knew that she should have went and saw him before leaving, but it only would have made the trip harder and he would have tried to keep her from going. She really wanted to make it to Ma'Uriith, even if the city was utterly destroyed. Anything to take away from Fenwyr. And besides, the Spring Festival had been canceled, and so she wasn't going to dance. It was her favorite time of year, the spring dance, but because of everyone's grief, they decided to hold off, despite how much it may have helped lift everyone's spirits. Elda thought about how all the flowers were dying and sighed. The ones that actually did bloom weren't up to par and people were afraid to pick them in fear that they would never grow back. Elda finally found her way towards the back of the ship where she saw Ensis standing alone.

I think describing Morrigan as a "beautiful young girl" is WAY off target. Morrigan is a sexy and sensual woman. And she's not human. ^_^ Just thought I would put that in. I haven't actually seen the anime, but I am a fan of the videogames. ^_^ Whoo Capcom! -

I know this is off-topic, but I just HAD to say this. You're 13, you've been kicked out, you live in a tree, and yet you still have a computer, manga, etc? And you expect me to believe that? I need to see it to believe. That is the most absurd thing I ever heard. As for wiccan, it's not magic. It's just believing in a mother Goddess. One of my very close friends is a wiccan.

Valentine drove home from practice in her baby blue Eclipse, pulling into the driveway close to 5:15. The party's not until 8, right? Well, better go get ready," she thought, pulling out her keys and letting herself in. Her mother was still at work and wouldn't be home until closer to six. One of her little sisters was sprawled out on the carpet in front of the television, playing some sort of PS game. Valentine smiled. She was glad that she was still in middle school and wasn't exposed to the horrors of high school yet. She ascended the staircase to the second floor, where her room was. It was a cozy place, full of nice things, stuffed animals, dolls, and covered in picture frames. Home. She threw her backpack on the bed and quickly made her way into the bathroom. She retrieved a towel from under the sink and started a hot, steaming shower. -
Anime Martian Successor Nadesico anyone?
Queen Asuka replied to ElrickOtaku's topic in Otaku Central
I love this anime. It's not my favorite, but it's one that I started collecting a few years back. Me and a few of my friends have volumes 1-7 collectively (we all have different ones, lol), so that's as far as I've seen in the series. I always found myself enjoying it alot. ^_^ I love Yurika Misumaru and I was REALLY ANGRY when Akito started putting the moves on Megumi. And I don't think Ryoko has a chance. But eh, that's just me. I enjoy miss Ruri as well. She's so cute and sarcastic! -
Arianna watched as Lelia walked away, the beautiful Italian carrying herself with an air of confidence, her heels clicking gently across the floor. She turned back to give them both a slight wave, smiling, before making her way out of the room. Arianna bit her bottom lip and pushed Adam away from her off of the wall, despite the temptation of the position, and made her way to the corner of his desk and sat down quietly, her chain whip cascading silently on the floor beside her boots. "Too hasty? I'm too hasty?" Arianna wasn't exactly directing it towards Adam, but she was expecting an answer. "You need work, yes, but all in good time," his face was serious, but then a grin slowly crept upon his lips. Arianna looked back at him, frowning. Her shoulder was throbbing, a pain that she had forgotten until this idle moment. She reached up and touched it gently, wincing at the pain. Yes, she needed work. At least she knew that she wouldn't be fighting Lelia anymore. And wasn't Lelia considered the best? Competition? Oh yes, Arianna thought to herself, hiding her pleasure at the thrill of it. "I like her," Arianna said simply. Adam just smiled. Without so much as a backwards glance, Arianna slid carefully off the edge of the desk, slowly running her fingers through her auburn hair and walked towards the door. She carefully began wrapping the chain of her whip around its handle, hiding it away as she went, her heels clicking in much the same manner as Lelia's. Once she reached the door, she stood silently for a moment, looking down the dark and silent hallway. Instead of exiting, however, she closed the doors slowly, locking them securely, and turned back to face Adam. A smile crept slowly upon her lips. OOC: Oi, Jenna, that was a great post. I didn't know if I should follow up or not, but I thought I would give Arianna some closure anyway. ^_^

What aggrivates me to no end is that they say Menchi is a dog, but I swear that is a CAT! There is no denying that it's a cat! Just look at it! Tell me, when have you EVER seen a dog like that? And lol at OtakuSennen for thinking it was a Mecha anime. ^_^

I definitely prefer Sarah McLachlan. Ever since she first debuted way back when, her voice always caught me off guard. It's so sweet and melodic, and it just wraps you up and carries you away. I also like how she has a very melancholy edge to her voice. I really need to get some of her music...

Name:/ Ivory Age:/ 18 Good/Evil:/ Good Stones:/ Three Earth Stones. Weapon:/ A long, wooden staff, carved from mahogany, with three beautiful silver rings hanging from the top of it. On each ring hangs an emerald jewel. Appearance:/ Long white hair, bright green eyes. Tall and slender, very graceful looking. Some see her and think that she is a mystical being of the forest. She's usually wearing earth tone colors, and wears a silver headpiece with an emerald set in. Personality-Talents:/ She's very quiet and serene, always willing and helpful, but extremely stubborn when she doesn't get her way. She has big hopeful eyes, and everyone always thinks she's in love. Talents wise, she's very skilled in weilding the earth magic, summoning gollums and creating small earthquakes. Bio:/ Raised in a forest cottage, as a little girl she was mesmerized by the flowers. Her mother named her Ivory because of the whiteness of her hair at birth. After being blessed with recieving the earth stone, just like her parents, she began to make herself aquainted with nature. The rest of her life is a mystery. She's often seen accompanied by a silver-white unicorn, a rare being that can only be approached by those pure of heart. Sometimes men have claimed to have been visited by her in their dreams and saw her carrying a bouquet of pure white lilies. This has caused some to be frightened and wary of her, despite her gentleness. Never having a friend, she's waiting for another of pure heart, one whom her unicorn, Aramina, will let approach before decided to marry. She looks sort of like this, I suppose, except with the description I have earlier. *Hope that's good. Whatever needs fixed just let me know and I'll do what I must do. ^_^; I tried to use my imagination.

Yeah, I thought about all of those angles before I posted this thread, but I just had to get it off of my chest and see what everyone else was thinking about the whole situation. Maybe it's just me being overly-moral, but I don't like to see some 12-year old posting as if she's 20 with a ton of sexual experience. But of course, the way kids are nowadays, she probably has more than me. [I AM HAVING A HEART ATTACK. MY SISTER WAS IN A CAR WRECK!]
