Elda watched as Ensis made his way around the house, gathering odds and ends and things that he thought they would need for their journey. She sat on the bed quietly, her thoughts churning slowly and her emotions dryed up. She didn't feel angry, she didn't feel sad...she didn't feel happy. She just felt...there. She couldn't describe it. It was just an emptiness that she wanted to go away. She sipped her tea a tad bit and realized that she was exhausted. She stood up and walked into the kitchen to put her cup away. Elda's hands were shaking, and she didn't notice it until she was walking, the tea shaking as well, sloshing over the sides of the cup. She stared for a minute, startled, and as Ensis walked into the room, she dropped the cup accidently. Warm tea splashed everywhere as the cup shattered and she sighed deeply. Suddenly not able to breathe well, Elda started crying again. "Elda, it's fine...I'll clean it up..." Ensis said, trying to comfort her, his arms full of items. "No, I'll get it. You're busy and everything, it's the least I can do..." she bent over, trying to grab the shards of cup with her shaking fingers. Ensis put his armful of things on the table and went over to her, making her stand up. "I said I'll get it. You go lie down. You're tired and you need to rest. We have to get an early start..." he led her back into the guest room where she sat down on the bed. She had finally stopped crying again, her hands were still shaking. She layed down carefully, managing to make her way under the blankets. She closed her eyes and sighed again. Ensis leaned over and kissed her forehead. "Now, get to sleep," he said, returning to what he was doing, ignoring the broken cup in the kitchen.

I am a fan. I haven't read as many plays as I would like to have, but I've read the Tempest, R & J, Hamlet, and some others. I've also seen a few others performed at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Hamlet is pretty good. I really am a big fan of the character Ophelia. I have the most tragic looking poster of her hanging in my room that Arthur Hughes painted. It's gorgeous.

Anime Shonen/Shoujo-ai and Yaoi...How's it "taken" in Japan?
Queen Asuka replied to a topic in Otaku Central
We JUST had this thread. It's constantly repeated and gets very old. Give it a little more time and then try this one again. Linkage: The last thread. Thread Closed. -
Originally posted by Inuluvr1 Rttocks77, I wonder how well you draw. Let's see for ourselves and compare if it sucks.
To give him the benefit of the doubt, I'm pretty sure he was joking. The are friends offline and he goes to school with her. Hence, the winking smiley at the end. I love it. I can't draw people's faces from the side for the life of me. I've tried, but it just doesn't work. You did really well.

I changed my picture, so I hope that isn't a problem. I guess I just wanted my chic to look more realistic, and the other picture wasn't very good, heh. It looked gawd awful. I'm glad I got in. ^_^

At my high school I think they did a pretty good job of doing the drug checks. Now, we must all remember, Jones County is the pot capital of Georgia (it HAS to be. It's actually hard to find people who haven't smoked). This is how they did it: Every so often, very randomly, while we were all away in class, the cops would take the drug dogs around the parking lot. If they barked at your car, you were called out of class, your car was checked and your belongings were checked. If you were caught, you were sent to alternative school. If you were innocent, you were sent, startled, back to class. I think it's much more humane than the cops running in and putting guns to students' heads. That is extreme. I think it's just a bunch of cops who don't see any action trying to make up for it.

I have no idea how I would react if my mother died, so I know you must be going through hard times, especially if you two were close. But just know that she's always there for you, despite the fact that she's passed on. And whatever you do, find someone to talk to. A friend, a family member, a stranger...but it always helps to be able to talk with someone about the things you are feeling.

I don't think I've ever really given "thanks" on Thanksgiving. I am thankful for everything I have and I make it clear everyday. I always think about my family and loved ones before I go to sleep everynight. So Thanksgiving is really no different. To me, Thanksgiving means "family." I love going to my nanna's, having a HUGE and absolute WONDERFUL dinner (gotta love that Southern style cooking-despite the fact that my nanna is Scottish, heh) and I enjoy my entire family being there. I have a huge thing for dressing, so I am really looking forward to that. I wont be going home to my parent's house again until then. So I guess this is my first Thanksgiving where I actually travel to see the family. ^_^ So fun being away at college.

Writing OtakuBoards: Enter the Net [PG]
Queen Asuka replied to Solo Tremaine's topic in Creative Works
Yes! I was Chii, I had the Ruffly Dress, AND I had my Plushiewand! I am late to my chemistry class because I was reading this story. And I enjoyed it most thoroughly. Thanks for having me in it. ^_^ Now, on to the love affairs! >.>;; (At least, if I was writing it, it would be like that...one big SOAP OPERA! ^_^) -

Trust me, it will pass in time. I went throught the SAME EXACT thing. I wouldn't lie to you. I'm just sharing my wisdom.
-
Well, I take it you're about 15 (according to your profile?) so it's normal for you to not get along with your siblings. Some you love, some you hate. I know that when I was your age I couldn't stand my sister Franki. Now we are closer than ever. I think that the dislike of siblings is a normal process and a part of life and that it is something that will fade over time as one gains maturity.

I could paint a picture of me and James and so does that automatically make us lovers? Geez. This topic is really annoying to me. Like someone else said, all the people in the picture look like females anyway and it's always debatable about the gender of the people in Da Vinci's artwork.

Anime if you could be an anime character what would you look like?
Queen Asuka replied to edward-tivrushy's topic in Otaku Central
Well, I'd have to say I'd look alot like Chi, except that I no longer have bangs and I don't have the cute android ears. Since anime features are exaggerated anyway, it's easy to see how it is so: Long, silky blonde hair, blue-green eyes (instead of Amber, like Chi's), a slim body with long slender legs, and an assortment of pink clothing, with a mix of other colors as well. Here's a good comparison: See? Not perfect, but close enough. -
The Matrix Revolutions (Possible Spoilers/Image Heavy)
Queen Asuka replied to GuyYouMetOnline's topic in Noosphere
Shy, your post is the only one I've read so far, and I like what you're saying. I would have never have thought of it that way, I think of it as the other way around. Give me some time to get my thoughts collected, and I'll pretty much tell you what I think. And I was wondering how in the world you were going to fit Smith in there. -
Justin, just the thought of a body that is mangled beyond recognition, as a body being shot 69 times would be, makes me feel nauceous. You should have just let it go, man. Revenge is sweet, but now you've gone and made me sick. You could have made me die in a better way you know. I would have rather have been eaten by man-eating worms. Or something. I didn't want this RPG to die, so it really pissed me off when it did. I don't know, so I went insane. Maybe myself should have had a car wreck and burnt to death herself? Anyway, it's all over now. If you really want to continue, I'll willing to delete my posts and let it go from where it was at. Or better yet, it could all just be part of a bad dream.
Originally posted by Baron Samedi Or you could do the old Sweet and Sour. Wave at people in other cars. Note whether they wave back, ignore you, or give you a bad look / the finger.
Ah, the memories. On band trips/going to dance competitions, we would always hang out the bus windows and wave at the cars going by to see how they would react. It's quite disturbing how many people will give you the finger for NO REASON! It's even more fun to get the truckers to honk, though. Gotta love those air horns. My dad used to be a trucker, you know. His rig's name was Shoog and I was the one who had to wash that thing. It took a LONG time, and you had to climb up on it. Gah, I got so sunburnt doing that...
Originally posted by the Jennaness Sit down at a restaurant with a cell phone, and have someone call it constantly without answering. Or you could talk on a cell phone really, really loudly in a quiet place. People hate that.
Do you have alot of experience with that or what? I know that I positively hate cell phones. There was an article in The Red & Black today about cell phones in quiet/study areas. I overhear some of the most stupid and annoying conversations. I'm beginning to think that the college world wouldn't be able to survive without a cell phone. Bah, it annoys me so badly. *** As for the topic at hand, I think the idea of just being nice to people is good. The smiling thing, that should do the trick. Smile at people and see if they smile back. That's something I like to do. Whether you realize it or not, people say that when someone smiles at them, it makes the feel good, and it makes them feel better if they were having a rough day. ^_^

Now that I think about it and because of Dagger's marvelous description of her, Ryoko reminds me a LOT of Raiha. Sometimes I see the qualities of anime characters, especially well-rounded ones, in real people, and this is one of those times. ^_^ Just a little side note, heh.

I really wish you people who aren't doing so already would say WHY you want to date those characters. It really keeps things less spammy....

Tori, sitting there waiting to see if anyone wants a pop-tart, gets pissed and just leaves the room. She goes out to the garage, finds a container of gasoline and just beings to pour it around the outside of the house. She continues along happily, as if in a trance, until she runs out. The smell is strong in the air. She smiles happily, satisfied with her work. She then pulls out of her pocket a pack of matches that she has carefully stolen from Charles. "Eh, he wont be needing these anymore..." she said, lighting up one and throwing it towards the house. It immediately catches flame. She continues doing this, making her way around the house until she runs out of matches. It is already consumed in fire, and no one has bothered to make their way outside. She smirks, makes her way to the garage and gets inside of her Explorer, backing down the driveway. "Who cares if I lost all of my belongings just now in a fire that I started, probably ending up killing everyone inside...No one likes sitting around for three days waiting for someone to tell her if they want a damn poptart or not." She laughs manically and drives down the road, heading back home to Georgia, the mansion a blazing inferno behind her.

Thanks for actually putting descriptions. ^_^ As for me, I'd have to separate mine up into a few categories. For a Practical Man, I'd have to say Shinji Ikari or Hideki Motosawa. They are your pretty average guys who have their flaws [plain out fear, out of control hormones], but they are pretty realistic. I guess I'd like Hideki more than Shinji because he's more romantic, but both would be fun for at least one date. For a Fantasy Man, I'd have to go with Tamahome. He's so beautiful and he's got the super human strength going on. Not only that, but he's compassionate and fights for what he believes in. He's also very steadfast in his love, but innocent at the same time. How can you not love Tamahome? For a BEAUTIFUL Man, I'd have to pick Kamui from X. Not because of his personality because he can be a jerk sometimes, but just because he is absolutely gorgeous. His flowy hair...his feminine body...Gah, you just can't help but love those CLAMP men. And for a Female, if I were that way, I'd date Asuka Langley, hands down. She's sexy, sassy, and she reminds me alot of myself. We'd probably clash a bit too much, but I'm sure she'd be fun to have, if you know what I mean. *laughs*

Anime Anime's worst possible Couples
Queen Asuka replied to ChibiHorsewoman's topic in Otaku Central
How you can say that Usagi and Mamoru are a bad couple? Their relationship is one of the best in an anime series. They go through all the right trials, perservere, they do that little "I hate you, but I really love you!" thing...I love them together. That's what MADE Sailor Moon. You cannot tell me that your favorite episode was not where
they found out that Sailor Moon was the Moon Princess and that she was in love with Tuxedo Mask...
But then of course, you may not like Sailor Moon? And if you don't, that's your own opinion, but it is one of the greatest anime series ever. As for WORST anime couple...well, I'd have to go with any "couple" from DBZ. You can tell that it's a series made for guys. Where's the love and affection that one should have for a wife? In that series, they're like cavemen. They only have women to procreate. But hey, at least Goku is nice to his wife, I suppose. -
Well, Ringo was no where near as bad as their first drummer, Pete Best.

I never heard about the "Graffiti" part. I'm jealous. You Omaha kids were cool.
