1. When my sister was in the second grade, she got suspended for school for a day because she breathed on a girl's hand. Of course, the stupid girl had it coming to her doing that stupid "Brick Wall!" crap that was so "in" back then.
2. Like Justin said, it is a psychological thing. Fathers and peers tend to pressure the guys to have more sex and get more women: that is just the way it is. Girls on the other hand, are considered sluts if they want more men. It's good for a guy to do it, but bad for a girl to do it, according the the unwritten rules that society has bound us with. I honestly can say that I do not desire any other guys from where I'm at here at UGA. Sure, they are some very attractive ones, even a few that have offered to date me, but I'm pretty happy in my relationship as of now. As for Ryan, I'm not too sure. He has girls wanting him ALL THE TIME. It worries me, but I know that he wouldn't cheat on me. Bleh, I don't know. People are too fickle.
3. Oh my gosh, this is the easiest question I've ever been asked. Dragon Ball Z, hands down. That is the worst dub I've ever heard in my life. The voices are stupid, they change from season to season, and all the villians have that same stupid "gruff" sounds going on. I don't know, it just bothers the heck out of me.
4. Yes, that it what I mean. It is good that you are on topic, but you are not really put any effort into your posts. If you look at the rules on post quality, you'll see what I mean. Just look around the forums at all of the members and how their posts are constructed. Pretty nice, eh?
5. Amen, Tony. The movie industry is pretty much getting desperate though, so it seems they make just about anything into a movie nowadays if they think it will be even REMOTELY successful.
6. Okay, well I saw the previews and I seriously wanted to go see it. It looked pretty funny and cute at the same time. If I laughed at the commercials, then it's got something going for it. ^_^ I don't know if I'll spend the money to go and actually see it, but I definitely will check it out when it comes out on DVD. And Shrek is NOT a kiddie movie. No, not at all. Too many inneundos.
7. Yes, Mitch and I have made amends and such. But there is something that I thought I would mention to ya, Mitch that HC pointed out earlier. Beatles lyrics during their experimentation phase was inspired by Bob Dylan, since he wrote songs that were meaningful and usually politically driven. ^_^ See?
8. Alright people it's pretty easy and pretty simple. When you use the spoiler tag, you put
and
, as was previously stated. To read it, you just HIGHLIGHT IT! Now, isn't that easy enough? And lazycarter, please put more thoughts and efforts into your posts, and explain your reasoning behind what you put. Thank you.
9. rtoccs77, I just need to ask you to put more thoughts and efforts into your posts. You're borderline spam and I know that you can clean this up and fix it. Thank you!
10. My younger sister has pretty much all three of the Fatal Fury movies, but the only one that I've sat down and watched is the Motion Picture. I didn't think it was half-bad, and I'm a big fan of Mai Shiranui. ^_^; Despite the over amount of cleavage and butt shots. Oh well.
11. Wow, I have no idea...okay, so maybe I do have some sort of idea: *My sisters and I have already made it very clear to our parents that we want DDR and the pads for the PS2. *The next two volumes of the Chobits DVDs that I don't have (4 & 5) *The boxed set of Evangelion *Clothing. Especially some Express Jeans. *Money. Every college girl needs money. *House accessories, especially those of the bathroom. My roomie is moving out and I want to do the bathroom in lavender to match my bedroom. I don't know...I'm sure there's other things...like some beanies to add to my ever growing collection.
12. I think that the first Matrix movie could be considered a classic, seeing as how it pretty much revolutionized action movies from then on out. Anytime you see a fight scene, it's always characterized as "Matrix style fighting" or as having "Matrix style special effects." The storyline was pretty unique and the plot and how it was executed was nice. And I'm pretty much with you about the Star Wars prequels. They are just awful. They lack a lot of the passion that they had in the original trilogy. I sure do love Star Wars. (Hyuk Hyuk?)
13.
Originally posted by Mitch If you actually knew anything, you'd know that Bob Dylan was one of the very very MAIN influences on to The Beatles. He is what made them what they eventually became. But you don't know that now, do you? I guess not. Who's the smartass here?
Geez, Mitch, I am so sick and tired of your attitude problem all the time. It's like you are always trying to put people down because you think you know SO MUCH about the world and all of its inhabitants. Just to let you know, here's a list of their influences straight out of my stupid text book because, oh wait, I'm taking a stupid class on Rock Music! Rock n Roll: Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Everly Brothers, Carl Perkins, and Buddy Holly Rhythm and Blues: Ray Charles Skiffle: Lonnie Donnegan No where in class at all did we ever speak of Bob Dylan ever being an influence on the Beatles. I'm sure he was, as he was a big influence for alot of the bands at the time, especially the British Beat Groups, but you don't have to quote all of your nonsense for me. I'm not an idiot, thank you. So please, just lose the attitude and get off of your high horse.
14. I just thought I'd quote this all for you, since it's pretty funny: ""G'day, mate!" says Tori to her friend Barbie. They're classmates at an international high school in New York City and two of the five members of the Generation Girls. Tori is from Australia, and she's a champion snowboarder who comes with her own snowboard, a helmet, snowboarding boots, a trophy, and a CD player with headphones so she can listen to her favorite songs on the slopes. For snowboarding, Tori wears a long-sleeved white knit top, yellow nylon pants, and light blue athletic shoes. When she's not snowboarding, she has a long black jumper with sparkly accents to wear with her white top. Streaked with pale blue highlights, her platinum-blonde crimped hair is styled in two ponytails that flow past her waist. To complete her off-the-slopes look, Tori carries a black purse and wears black nail polish, silver bracelets, and a silver necklace with tiny dice. " Heh, how cool is that? I'm an Australian Barbie. ^_^
15. I remember when we did have the sig lengths, I wasn't too happy with it. It was very restricting, only allowing you eight lines, or four lines if you had a banner. I think it should be a little less restricting than that. My sig is quite short...but hey, I have nothing interesting to put there.
16. I'm not too sure, but in my opinion a classic is something that is sort of before it's time and that all other movies following take elements from that movie and incorporate them into their own. The classic I keep thinking of is the Star Wars trilogy. Lucas had SO MANY ideas that he just couldn't use because of limited technology, so he made do with what he had and the movies are brilliant to have been made in the 70s. Now that he HAS that available technology to make them what he wanted, they lack that certain magic because the effects are nothing new or special. Do you see what I mean?
17. I'm a big fan of Dr. Suess, but I don't know if I'll ever see the Cat in the Hat movie, other than the animated feature. I never watched the Grinch, either. (Or maybe I did? I can't remember.) I prefer to see it animated. Bringing it to life sort of takes away the vibrancy of it all. Of course, being in Orlando at Islands of Adventure/Suess Landing was something else. That place was an amazing piece of architecture.
18.
Originally posted by Heero Y. hey, I'm kinda new, so I'm just wondering around. Well anyway....I was born in Sacramento, California. Lived in Medford, Oregon for a while. And now, I live in Anchorage, Alaska.
I just went and visited Medford Oregon this past summer for two weeks. My Aunt and Uncle live there. It's a beautiful city. You sure did travel far, huh? I wouldn't be able to live in Alaska. It would be MUCH too cold for me.
19. You make a very good point there, PoisonTongue. I think it's hilarious how some people try to claim that Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is about a picture the kid drew. That's hilarious. Some people just don't want to accept the fact that the guys were on some serious drugs, which they were. And my Sgt. Pepper's album doesn't end like that at all. That song is the third track...
20. I have no idea how many Barbies were lost and mutilated due to the dogs we've always had my entire life. Finding a Barbie chewed up was one of the worst scenarios ever. Of course, my mother always found it humorous. (Oh, it's 11:11. Neato. ^_^) And I loved to make my Barbies go swimming as mermaids. Mermaids are the best! AND, there was a Barbie named after me. It was the Generation Girl Barbie, named Tori, and she had long blonde hair and was a skater chic. How awesome was that? ^_^ And I still go and look at Barbies everytime I go to Wal-Mart. The Swan Lake Barbies are GORGEOUS! I want both Barbie and Teresa. And I want to BirthStone Barbie, because the Emerald one is just darling. ^_^
21.
Originally posted by Radaghast A curiosity directed to Mitch: "Bob Dylan....rock legend". I don't recall Bob Dylan being in the Beatles, so may I ask, what's up??
He's just being a smart ***, as usual. Don't mind him. He's just trying to say that Bob Dylan is rock legend. And true he is, but this is a thread about the Beatles. And posts like that are spam as well. But whatever. And yes, Sgt. Pepper's is a great album. I am very satisfied with it. My only gripe is that it is so short. You go through it so quickly...but the songs are magnificent!
22. Well, me and my sisters had to be the most creative children ever because we could make our Barbies do and be anything. We would gather in my room and make a little area for them, and use lots of little objects for them to have in their "home." We never had Ken dolls, so the uglier Barbies were always the males. We ALWAYS had a love triangle going on... Did I also mention that we liked for our Barbies to make out and well...*shuts up* We were demented little kids!
23.
Originally posted by Hatake Kakashi What do u think of it?
For someone with as many posts as you, I would think that you would know that to start a thread, you need to put more thoughts and efforts into it, instead of just saying "What do you think of it?" Please, next time, pay attention to the rules.
24. Okay, how this thread got here, since it was posted in 2001 is beyond me. Exactly two years from today, actually...that's pretty freaky. The second poster must have been deleted? Anyway, I'm closing this thread... Thread Closed.
25. I read the manga a while back and I really enjoyed what I saw. I always wanted to see the anime, but the designs really weren't all that great, and I figured it probably wasn't as interesting as the manga series. My favorite character was Tira Misu, but only because she was probably the most sensible of the group. Chocolat always really annoyed me, as did Carrot. But Marron...he was yummy. ^_^ And also, next time you start a thread, how about put a little more effort into it?
