Anime to all parents or people who think anime is bad
Queen Asuka replied to a topic in Otaku Central
I'm pretty sure that anime parent who bothers to come on here and look at what threads are posted, probably already like anime, ie Sephiroth. *Shrugs* -
Anime ALL ABOUT SAIYUKI!! Ps: SAIYUKI RELOAD anime series.....
Queen Asuka replied to Sweet Pie's topic in Otaku Central
I'm sorry, but since there is no real discussion of the series taking place and all you're doing is posting pictures, this is considered spam. Sorry to close your thread, but rules are rules. Thread Closed. -
Driving cross-country to California took three days. But number 1: Tori was determined to have a means of transportation in her new home and number 2: She was determined to bypass the stupid weight and baggage restrictions that airports often have. She had way too many clothes, shoes, assessories, stuffed animals, knick knacks, bedding, etc to just leave behind. She looked in the rearview mirror of her crappy Ford Explorer and saw how packed she was. She just hoped there was room... She was taking the Southern route, through the bottom of the United States and she was stopping in San Antonio to pick up Kenneth. It was sort of scary to be by herself at first, but the radio and Scott Weiland kept her good company. The trip to Texas didn't take as long as she thought, and before she knew it, Ken and his relatively small amount of luggage were loaded up. They were on the road, finally, to California. "California, huh? I can't believe it..." she said to him, finally turning down the radio. He smirked a bit, slipping his own headphones off. Apparently Stone Temple Pilots was not his cup of tea. "Eh, we'll be fine." "Yeah, I suppose so...after all, we'll all have each other. Aw, isn't that so sweet?" She grinned innocently. "We all are aware of who YOU want to have, Tori..." Ken said, laughing. Tori turned a deep shade of red. "Well, don't you think it's about time that we actually met one another...I've been waiting for this day for a long time, Ken...long distance relationships can be brutal..." she sighed a bit, but then quickly smiled and squeaked loudly. "EEEE! I'm so excited!" Ken smiled, too and the rest is history. Within the three days, they had made their way to Monticeto and were standing at the grand doorway of the mansion. "Should we just go in?" she asked. "Let's ring the doorbell..." he said. Tori took a deep breath and walked up to the doorbell, ringing it. She knew the rest of the folks were supposed to arrive today. What if he's already here? she thought to herself and felt this surge of anxiety. She looked over at Ken and he smiled at her as they waited for someone to let them in.

It's an error that has to do with Windows. You just have to ignore it. There is a patch for it that you can download on the Windows update site, but that's about all I know about it. I've been putting up with it for years, and we finally got that patch. Now it's all gone. ^_^

That looks like the anime version of me. I'm keeping it forever.

Wee! Real art! I love to see when people post sketches and not all this computer generated crap. Okay, well some of it is decent, but anywho! I love the eyes in the first one and the second one is adorable and the third one has beautiful hair! Yay for beautiful hair! I wanted to touch it, it just looked so soft. Pretty stuff. ^_^ Chibiness rocks.

Okay, I attempted to spread the "Yellow Fatty Bean" love some more today, and someone actually thought it was funny! It consisted of the following: "Yellow Fatty Bean!" "Yellow Fatty Bean Bread!" "Yellow Fatty Bean Nut Muffin!" "Yellow Fatty Bean Pudding!" And then me dissolving into giggles. Eh, good times. ^_^

Elda gazed longingly at the water before turning and looking at Ensis. "I come here quite often...it's a nice place to be alone," she said. She smiled at him and began walking towards the water's edge. He smiled back and followed her. Gentle ripples made their way to the sandy bank. Elda took off her shoes and walked barefoot towards the water. She bent over and touched it gently before standing back up, letting her feet go in ankle deep. She turned and looked back at Ensis who was standing just off the bank to the side, beside a small drop-off, next to an old oak tree. "I used to jump from that tree into the water when I was younger," Elda told him. "Now I'm too afraid to climb it." He looked up into the branches and he could see why. It was old, very old, and it didn't look like it could withstand it's own weight, much less that of a grown girl. "Does anyone know that you come here?" Ensis asked. "No, I don't think so..." Elda said quietly. "I used to come here alot after my mother died. It's how I discovered the place. My father would always ask why I was soaking wet, but he never could figure it out..." She smiled gently, the breeze blowing her soft curls behind her. She wrapped a strand around her fingers, looking up into the sky. "It's getting close to sunset," Ensis said, walking towards her finally. "I know...it's the best time to be here. It's so beautiful...you can watch the sun drift below the horizon and it seems as though it just descends into the water itself. The ripples sparkle like diamonds and sometimes you forget that you even exist..." He saw that her eyes had that far-away look once again, something that he noticed was a common thing with her. She dreamed of things and places far away, not being stuck in the town she was in. "I've never shared this spot with anyone else, you know..." she said to him quietly.
Originally posted by Mitch The thing that still urks me is that Harper Lee hasn't written any other books. Seriously, she isn't a true writer...
I don't think you can say that someone isn't a true writer just because they only published one novel. She maybe writes in her spare time or as a hobby and doesn't want to publish anything else. I would consider myself a writer in some senses. I like to write and I love what I turn out most of the time. That's like saying someone isn't an artist unless they do art that gets big and famous. I don't like that opinion very much. -_- ANYWHO, as for the novel, I read it in my Contemporary Lit class and at first I didn't like it, but then I found it was okay. For some reason I thought for the longest time that it was narrated by a young BLACK girl (it makes all the different in old novels as such) and then I realized I was getting it mixed up with I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, which I've never read. The part that sticks out in my mind the absolute most was when
her father, Atticus, had to shoot the rabid dog that was walking around the neighborhood.
It was just freaky and I could imagine myself there in that moment... We also watched the movie in class, which I really wasn't too fond of. But it was a good book overall. ^_^
Originally posted by Gentle I can't get on sites for weapons and it's kinda hard when I need one.
Why in the world does someone who is only under "Mature Teen" need a weapon, might I ask? Or are you just referring to the fact that you need a weapon's site? And why would you need that? O_o

I didn't remember how horrible it all was until I just read Mitch's post. And WOW Mitch, you've got it bad. When I was much younger, we had AOL and my parents thought that the age group thing was wonderful. But when they blocked me from all of my favorite websites and from Yahoo Chat, I knew that they HAD to go. I was 14 at the time, so yes. I was already under "Mature Teen," but it was "Adult" that I really wanted. After coaxing my mother into letting me use her account constantly, me and my younger sister (She must have been 12 at the time?) talked her into letting us get "adult" settings. We told her we weren't doing anything untrustworthy, and so she agreed to it. So yes, that was AOL and the fun that I had with it. But my FATHER was another story. He would only let us get online for an hour each night and you cannot do anything in an hour, I don't think. This was pre-Otaku and I can tell you, I was addicted to the internet and the people I met on there. Me and my sister would sneak online in the middle of the night and if we heard him waking up, we would cut off the monitor. She was really bad about it and even got caught. Gah, we were such idiots sometimes. Now he doesn't care unless he needs to make a call or is waiting for a call. And of course, here at school, I can get online when I want and not have to worry about blocking phone lines. I'm sure that when I have kids, I'll tell them the do's and don't's of internet safety and let them have their fun. Afterall, I owe alot of joy in my life to the internet. ^_^

It reminds me of a jellybean. The Jelly Belly kind, whichever one is yellow with brown speckles. Marshmallow maybe? I have no clue. But that's what I think when I see "yellow fatty bean."

Well, this thread isn't going anywhere, and so I'm going to close it. I hope someone PMs you and answers your question. Or you could always use a search engine. Thread Closed.

Okay, it's one thing to play MOD, DBD, but it's another thing to call someone a "NOOB." You were once a newb yourself, and they don't know better. Let them read the rules and heed to my warnings, not yours. That was uncalled for.

Tony, I tried to spread "yellow fatty bean" today. They asked me what I was smoking. When I told them nothing they said, "that's the problem then!" SEE! See what sort of reputation I'm getting by doing favors for you! SNUH!

Welcome to the OtakuBoards! Your first stop should be the OtakuBoards Information Center. Please observe our general rules and the rules about post quality. You're sort of borderline, but I'm sure you'll be fine once you read the rules. ^_^ I started reading the Dragon Knights manga and I just couldn't get into it. At all. The first volume was just too boring. Maybe it was aimed at kids younger than myself?
Originally posted by Ares He's a one hit wonder because he's got his own right thurr style going on...yah! Anyway, he's pretty cool, and he's got his own style and music it's like. He's definitely a one hit wonder.
Do you understand what a one-hit wonder is? Because from your post it makes it seem like you think a one-hit wonder is someone who becomes big because of one song. A one-hit wonder is someone who puts out a song, it gets big, and the rest of them bomb. And then they're only known for that one song. Marcy Playgroud-"Sex and Candy." That's a crappy one-hit wonder.

So, who all was invited to join anyway? I'm very curious. I want lots of good people to be in it! Whee! Jenna, Tori, and Raiha all living together? Is what we discussed the other night on OB Chat going to occur? ^_^;

After making their way through most of the marketplace, Elda stopped in front of the dressmaker. There were beautiful dresses on display that were to be used for the dance during the Spring Festival. She sighed a bit and stared at them for a moment, gently touching the fabric of a white dress embroidered in golden colored thread. "I don't think that's your color," Ensis said. Elda looked over at him, suddently aware once again of where she was. "You don't? I think white is a wonderful color...but everyone always tells me it's blue or green..." She looked back at the dress that she still hadn't let go of. "Well, why white?" Ensis asked. "I don't know....since my mother passed away, I always imagine her in a glowing white. I imagine that she was a beautiful dancer. Some things like that I can't remember..." Her eyes got that far away look that they often did and she sighed again. "Let's get out of here..." Elda said. "What do you mean, the market?" "That's what I meant...but now that I think about it...." She stood silent for a moment. It seemed as if the world stood still, waiting for to finish her sentence. Ensis shifted his weight a bit to his left. "Think about what?" he asked cautiously. She looked at him for a long moment, gazing at him. "No, nothing, nevermind. But let's head over to the lake...I want to see the water..."
