Wow, I'm super excited for this one. Good job, Jenna! ^_^ Name: Kimberly Victoria. Tori is just fine. Age: 20ish. Hometown: Macon, Georgia Any Pets?: One small intelligent cat, Angel and a Beta fish, Rufus. Attached or Single?: Currently dating the one and only PiroMunkie (since well, I can't have Ryan ^_^) aka John. ***Roommate [To be decided after all signups are final]: --- Brief Life History: From the Southern US, Georgia, Tori was quick to accept the invitation to move to the West Coast with some of her closest friends. She was currently attached to John and was exceptionally close to Kenneth, her best friend. Also good friends with the Diva, Jenna, she made her way out to Cali to be a part of the next big thing. Personality Traits: Tori is usually a happy, but very passionate person. She loves to be the center of attention and to try to make those around her laugh. She tries to be friends with everyone and doesn't like it when people don't like her. She can sometimes be overly critical and severly impatient, but she usually makes up for it later. She tends to idealize many aspects of life and thrives on the ideas of true love and romance. She doesn't drink or do any drugs, but she loves to have fun. Parties are okay as long as she is with a close friend who is willing to stay sober with her. She loves to dance and have a good time. Living next to the ocean, she finds herself constantly at the waters edge. She's always had a fascination with water for as long as she can remember and it was a dream come true for her to move to the coast. Pasttimes include reading on occassion, playing videogames, reading manga and watching anime, and doing art. She also likes to stay active and workout and play if possible. Thing that annoy her include people who are overly stupid, having to clean something up that she feels she wasn't a part of, and feeling left out. She likes getting her beauty sleep and sleeping in is fun to do on Saturday mornings, since Sundays you'll find her at the nearest Mormon ward. Appearance: 5'4", 130 pounds, blue-green eyes, long golden-blonde hair, and gorgeous body. Here's a pic: ^_~ Better pic, coming soon. :)

Holy crap, Arcadia, you go to FSU? --------- Elda looked at Ensis, then back at her father. Her father was beaming and Ensis was smiling gently. She sighed a bit. "Alright, I'll go." She smiled. It can't be too bad....I don't really know Ensis and this will be a great opportunity to get to know someone. He seems to have a certain air about him that makes me wonder... Taking him by surprise, she linked arms with him and began walking him towards the door. "The marketplace, you say? And from there, where to?" The two made their way out the door, into the bright spring sunshine. Elda flourished in the sunshine. She always told people who were sad that the only true remedy was a nice dose of sunshine. "So tell me a little about yourself, Ensis..." Elda said happily as they neared the busier than usual marketplace.

Just look for season one. The names of the other seasons are: Season 1: TV series Season 2: Anything-Goes Season 3: Hard Battle Season 4: Outta Control Season 5: Martial Mayhem. Then there are about 6 OAV videos and two movies. And I recommend every bit of it! I'm a huge Ranma 1/2 fan. ^_^

I really enjoy everything of theirs I have ever heard. I have Make Yourself and Morning View. I have no idea who exactly they belong to actually.... Eh, well, I really like "Privilege" and "Pardon Me." And pretty much any other song I've heard by them. Brandon Boyd is uber sexy!

I love the dance very sexy-like in the mirror. The only times I'll do it in public is if I'm at a party where the majority of them are drunk or if I'm at Lacy's house. Because me and Lacy dance together.

Elda jumped, startled at the sound of Ensis' voice. She looked over at him as he sat down beside her at the bar and she smiled. "Yes, it is...especially since father kicked out all of the rowdy drunks...it's sort of peaceful..." She seemingly looked off into the distance at nothing in particular, her mind running quickly through thoughts of silence and the wind. "It's especially abnormal since there are many visitors here. Shouldn't more people be in here?" Ensis asked. Elda looked back at him. "You know, you're right. I wonder where everyone is at? And why no one is here...." She shrugged. Ensis smiled and closed his eyes for a moment. "What are you thinking?" Elda asked, seeing the contented look on his face. "Ah, nothing. Just pondering." He continued to smile. She raised a brow and said nothing. Her father, who was watching from aways off, noticed the conversation between the two. He was very interested in Ensis and knew that he was perfect for Elda, whether she realized it or not. He knew this was a good opportunity to make the two interact. "Beautiful day, isn't it?" her father said as he walked over to the bar. "Yes, it is..." said Ensis, nodding slowly. "Too beautiful of a day to be cooped up in a place like this..." he spoke. He looked at Elda. "It's fine to me..." she said. "No, I think you need to get out while you can...while it's so beautiful outside...afterall, it's a time for festivity, not slaving away in here..." "But father, there's no one in here hardly..." "Even MORE the reason for you to get out!" he smiled happily at her and Ensis. "Why don't the two of you go do something?" Elda stared hard at her father. Ensis just smiled.

Elda didn't wait too long in the backroom before making her way back into the bar. She was tired out already from the day's work and ready for it to be over with. She noticed Ensis sitting down quietly and she looked over at her father. He was busy dealing with some rowdy men who had been in the bar for quite a while. She smiled slightly and made her way over to a new table. There sat a handsome young man with sapphire colored eyes. She wondered where he was from and eagerly asked him what he would be having. He just looked at her and frowned slightly. She frowned back. He pulled out a book from a bag he was carrying and ignored her completely. She sighed deeply and walked away. Some of the foreigners tended to be that way. And there just wasn't anyone good enough for her here. She walked over to her father who was now wiping the bar clean. "Why is it that I have to get married?" He chuckled slightly and didn't say anything. Elda crossed her arms. "Your mother was the same way..." he finally spoke. "She was the wild blossom of the town. Beauty beyond description, sweet as you could ever imagine. She wouldn't settle for the ordinary type...but look at who she ended up with." Her father smiled sadly at her. She stared back at him. "He's out there, Elda. And he's probably closer than you think. Just you wait." Her father walked off and left her standing at the bar alone.

Something along the lines of "Will you go to the dance with me?" would probably be appropriate.

OCC: I'm having a hard time following along, especially since no one has incorporated my character at all. Some help (perhaps a summary?) on what's going on would help. I'm seriously thinking this isn't the RPG I thought it would be.
Originally posted by maladjusted Heh, no. PSAT is the Pre-SAT [I think]. We take 'em in ninth grade in Georgia. I've already taken the SATs, which was last year in seventh grade. It was like this Duke-sponsered thing, and if you got a high enough score, you got to go to this camp. ^_^ The camp was surprisingly the best three years of my life.
Do you happen to know a chica named Katie-Jane Green? She went to the Duke Camp. Anywho, I think it's a bunch of bolagna all these people saying that Perdue is being racist. Seriously, if you want it bad enough, you'll work harder for it. If black people want it, they should work for it. Sure, they are the minority and they USED to be mistreated hundreds of years ago, but if they want HOPE, I think it should be based on Merit, not race. They have all these scholarships they get just for people a certain color and they have affirmative action. What more do they want? It's not fair for people to take that stance.
Originally posted by Justin No, Tori, actually teachers have right to pray, as well.
Teachers can only pray if they cannot be seen by the students. If they want to bless their food at lunch, it cannot be in the cafeteria while kids are in there. If they want to pray during the moment of silence, they cannot do it in front of the classroom or in the classroom with students present. It's against the law and they can lose their job over it. If you'd like, I can quote some court cases for you.
Originally posted by Shy Catwoman is getting her own solo film, and this project has been in the works longer than Batman 5. I'm surprised that the thing has finally gotten off the ground, but this photo only makes me depressed. They are just trying to market Catwoman as a sex symbol, and completely throwing away anything related to the comics.
That's sad isn't it? But like they say, sex sells. And they are having to go to further and further extremes nowadays to acommadate for the numbing of people's minds. I really don't like the outfit. It looks trashy. She could at least have some hair, right? Oh well...
Originally posted by Mitch And isn't passing any bill like this deemed unconstitutional? State and religion shouldn't have any place with each other, nor school and religion. It's right in the constitution as far as I am conerned. So I hope this bill being passed gets what it deserves--that being that it gets revoked and taken away. Because as I see it it is unconstitutional. Ah well.
It would be unconstitutional if they called it a "moment of prayer" instead of a "moment of silence." But as long as the SCHOOL or TEACHERS are not praying, then it's constitutional. We talked about that SO MUCH in Government last year. Also, the creationism theory can't be taught in school anymore unless it is a private school, such as a church school. There are many court cases that lead to this development. Also, I don't think they are MAKING people read that book. It's against the law to do that. I think the point of the book is to give Christian students a chance to use their moment of silence wisely and to pray about what they feel like praying about. Yes, prayer may be a personal thing that some say should be kept at home, but if there is a moment of silence to "reflect upon the anticipated activities of the day," why not use it to pray if you're religious? Does it make you that uncomfortable, Mitch?

Tara, getting the message from Garm about the meeting, sighed deeply. Not a big fan of the members of the group, it seemed that Garm was the only one she could tolerate. She was the oldest of the bunch and felt like she was responsible for taking care of them. They were supposed to meet at Selenay's house, but Tara had fallen asleep out in the sunshine in the middle of the forest, where she lived in a small wooden house. She never had many visitors, and she liked the peace and quiet. She had a rude awakening when the rain started to pour. She got up, went into her house to dry off, and then decided to make her way towards Selenay's house. Of course she was going to be a good bit late, but she headed towards that direction anyway, turning onto Selenay's street and sighing deeply.

My favorite item of food would have to be cheese. And cheese tastes good on just about anything. No sandwich is complete without cheese. Then there's macaroni and cheese. Cheese dip. Grilled cheese. Turkey melts from Snelling Dining Hall... See all the wonders of cheese? Isn't that the commercial? "Behold, the power of Cheese?" Because it's so true... And about cooking, I can cook things in a can/box. I can also make Chili, Spaghetti (and no, it does not consist of using the already made sauce...we make our own), and other things of that sort. I need to learn how to cook. Gripes.

Gah, your school is a little bit on the insane side. Our Cheerleaders and our Band got along fantastically, and even did joint routines at some points, especially our Dance Line and the Cheerleaders. The coaches are best friends and we all love one another. The cheerleaders even made us some wonderful banners. It was all very much appreciated. And band people are pretty much friends with everyone. Even football players. It just disturbs me that your school is so "stereotypical," like the crap you see in movies. Are you in middle school or high school?

Ah, Senior pictures. Well, I went to my mema's house because she is the make-up artist of the family. We re-highlighted my hair and she made my bangs awfully blonde. I hated it. But my make-up was gorgeous and I wore my one shoulder dance top that was black. The guy photographing me was SO into me. He kept staring at me and talking to me and he took some good photos. There is one that I HATE that they call the "Sexy shot." It's got the angry/irriated model look to it. Everyone loves it so much. And yes, they put that one in the yearbook. I never posted my Senior pics because a week later, I started growing out my bangs. So I didn't even look like that my Senior year. That's why it sucks to have to take them during the summer. We never bought mine. We just kept the proofs. Cheap parents.

I tried to get a job this summer. I applied to about ten places and none of them called me back. I guess they just didn't want me. Maybe it's because I refuse to work on Sunday? Now that I'm in college, it's very important for me to get a job to pay for rent and groceries and things of the sort, but I find myself more stressed for time than ever. Between schoolwork and studying, I'm scared to get a job. In the long run, the career I'm shooting for is Genetic Counseling. Of course, I'll have to go to graduate school, but I'll just wait and see how this all fleshes out within the next four years.
