Originally posted by Yu Yu Hakusho! I'm sure she'd run around naked in a music video if someone wanted her to do, even if she says she wants to have a "clean" image...
Brittney Spears said the same exact thing, and look at her name. Biggest slut in the industry, practically. Pretty soon she'll have to give up the "clean" image. They'll say "Sex sells. If you don't dress sexier, no one will want you." And by then she'll be so desperate for money, popularity, and fame, she'll go right along with it. She's 14. They can manipulate her any way they really want to. As for GORDO, he is my favorite character. You've always got to love Gordo. And Miranda is nice, too. So is Matt, lol. And Matt's friend, the one that never talks.

I'm too scared to stay out of class sick. I would miss something important or it would be the ONE DAY my teacher took roll. *sighs* I need to take SLEEP days...but I guess that is what the afternoon is for, I don't know...And if I don't go to the game tomorrow, then I'll be REALLY bored...

I've decided to respond as though it is a questionaire. Do you sing in the shower? I do on occassion. It's usually if I'm in a really REALLY good mood. Or if I'm alone. I prefer to sing in the bubble bath, though. What song do you sing occasionally? Last time I remember singing in the tub, it was after I got back from EFY and I was waiting for Ryan and his dad to hurry up and come to my house. I was singing hymns that I didn't really know the words to, so I was pretty much making words up. I also catch myself constantly singing something to do with Stone Temple Pilots. *Shrugs* Other than that, I make up my OWN songs. And why do you think you sing it? Because I can? I don't know... I usually sing whenever I'm in a good mood. I'll make up a song about whatever is going on at the time. I'm strange like that. I happen to do it when I'm on the phone sometimes. ^_^;

I used to LOVE this show. Actually, I still like the show. I just dislike Hilary Duff. She's gotten this big head now and she thinks that she's too good for Disney channel and that she's sexy enough to be on MTV. How old is she, 14? She wont last long, I hope she realizes that.

I was in San Fransisco at the beginning of August and all I wanted to do was go to visit Japantown. I did get to go to Chinatown...oh well...*sniffles*

Are you talking about the Animatrix soundtrack? I LOVE listening to that...
-
Actually, me and Ryan made two full CDs of random songs that we thought would be fun. *Shrugs* I just know the first one has a whole lot of Bush on it. I guess it's not necessarily the lyrics, but along the lines of the feelings that the songs have.

I have the original fairy tale version of Sleeping Beauty, but I want to read the one of the Little Mermaid. I love the morbidness of fairy tales. *Huggles her huge book of fairy tales that is older than she is*
Originally posted by Heaven's Cloud It is not the worst series I have ever seen, I just fail to see why so many of you think it so excellent.
It's because the amount of anime that the majority of people here have seen is minimal. If it doesn't come on CN or network TV, chances are, they haven't seen it.

I'm sorry, but we already have a thread like this called Anime Clubs. Please take your discussion there. Thread Closed.

I was thinking the same thing. I can't believe no one noticed that neither of them were gone. Especially since someone like Gabby, who is easily noticable because of her dress, just sauntered up in there like it wasn't any big deal. And what did you think about Caleb and Julie? I thought she was letting herself right on in.
-
Yeah well, I'm still pissed about it. I think Ryan should have had the decency to tell that stupid Gabby girl to go away. Or they should have had the decency to LOCK THE DOOR! Gah, they were just ASKING for it when she went in there...I knew it was going to happen, too. I was cussing out loud before Marissa even left the bathroom.

True about the Final Summer Episode thing. I'm half deaf, so I had no clue what they were talking about. And I'm wondering about the comic girl, too. Her name was Anna. And I thought she was pretty girl and she should have stuck around. But she did teach Seth a thing or two about confidence and look at him now, right? I always liked Seth's character. He's adorable. Marissa DID seem a bit on the weird side when Luke left her. She didn't respond to his "I love you" and she seemed a little out of it. And before they actually did the deed, as she was laying in the bed, she looked like she regreted it already. I guess we'll just have to see what happens. Ryan just has to learn how to quit screwing things up! He seems to have a knack for that sort of thing. Oh yeah. And the previews for next week's episode showed Marissa and Ryan laying in bed together. Sparked my curiosity, yes it did...
Originally posted by Braidless Baka And when you're talking about computers taking over animation, do you mean the hand drawn stuff, or the 3D stuff? Because Finding Nemo was one of my favourite movies ever ^_____^;; *plots to go see that movie again* And let's not forget Toy Story! Yayness!
No, I was referring to how things aren't hand-drawn anymore. I love ToyStory and Monsters Inc. I'm talking about how they use computers to figure out how to put things together. I think they first started using it on the Lion King with the large numbers of animals stampedeing. It's easiest to tell in Tarzan, though. I don't know. I just prefer traditional to the newer stuff.
Originally posted by Semjaza the God Ignoring the music hasn't really done anything. It's not as though the characters sang about unrelated things. They used them to convey their feelings in some form. Now we just get some guy singing a song in the background, generally while the characters just walk around silently.
See, that's what I'm trying to get out. The songs had important significance to everything that was going on around them. I just think about how beautiful/fun the songs were...they weren't pointless. And that's why you can actually relate some Disney songs to aspects of your own life...at least, I can. I think the songs made the movies DISNEY. They were musicals. They were classic. Disney is definitely losing it's touch. Everything doesn't have to be able 3D...

I also think that Def Leppard is decent. A while back, a lot of people from Jones County were really into that and the greatest hits CD was what they all partied to and got drunk with. Ah, good times, even though I wasn't there. It still reminds me of band camp, though, with Heat and Autumn. *Sighs* GAH, I'm getting all nostalgic!
Originally posted by Lady Macaiodh It's strange... of the people here than I've actually spoken to, none of them sounded anything like I thought, except for treton_noir (but he wasn't as goofy as on OB).
So how bad is my Southern accent? You have commented on it on a few occassions. ^_^;
Originally posted by Lady Macaiodh Everyone keeps saying it'll get better, but it's only gotten worse. I can't even watch a diaper commercial withough hurling things at the TV. The pain better decrease soon, or I'm seriously going to off myself. This is no joke. I can't take it.
Call me in the afternoons when you have a chance. You usually seem to be feeling a tad bit better after some of our insane conversations. And we haven't talked in over a week anyway. It's time to catch up. ^_^ Another thing I thought of that makes me UPSET, but doesn't necessarily make me cry, is when someone is wrong and it is pointed out and they get embarrassed. It usually happens when it's older person (as in senior citizen) or someone close to me that I love. It's hard to explain, but it just happens sometimes.

That is an interesting thought. I have NO IDEA how I would be. I already have a tendancy to like things that are usually considered "Guy things" such as videogames, anime, and stuff like that. All I know is that I would make sure my hair was sexy looking everyday. I see some guys who really do this and I wish I could just tell everyone of them thank you. I love pretty hair. That is why I am so fussy about my own. I couldn't imagine being a guy, though. It is so much nicer to be a girl. It seems as though it's easier to have your way. ;)

OH MY GOSH TONIGHT I AM ALMOST CRIED! I hate how each episode has something that horrible to happen. I wanted Marissa and Ryan to hook up. I blame this all on that whore Gabby. She just HAD to go into the poolhouse and jump all over Ryan and Marissa just HAD to walk in. Now, she's had sex with Luke. What's going to happen next week? OH THE HORROR! Gah, I'm so addicted to this show. And did they say something like next week is the final episode? If so, WOW. There's a lot of stuff that wouldn't be tied up. Like Julie hitting on Caleb and all that crap with Summer and Seth. I feel like such an idiot getting into this show so much...but oh well.

I like it alot, except that the words in the upper corner seem out of place. They don't blend with the picture well. *Shrugs*
Originally posted by Dagger IX1 I don't like the new Disney art style either. It doesn't have the charm or beauty of older movies, such as Sleeping Beauty. When I complain about American animation, it's not the old movies I'm thinking of--those are classics. It's the new ones. They may be decent, and perhaps I'm prejudiced, but they aren't great.
Yes, but what's neat about Disney movies is that each animated feature has it's own style. The characters look completely different from any other anime character. Compare Hercules to Pocahantas. Or Mulan. They look nothing alike. Although, I didn't like the style of Lilo and Stitch. I haven't seen it yet because the characters just aren't cute and attractive. Maybe it's just me and I'm insane like that... And I hate how everything is done with computers nowadays. I miss the old traditional ways of art...
Originally posted by Saraness: I also really like the songs from Hunchback. I don't know them as well as I know the songs from Mermaid, but a lot of them have pretty haunting moments in the melodies, which is an aspect of music I love. I actually have a clarinet book with all the songs from Hunchback; I should get that out, heh.
You know, I've never seen the Hunchback of Notre Dame. I guess I need to rent it and watch it. Especially if it's got good songs. ^_^

Oh, okay, I see what's going on. When I was in middle school my Algebra I class counted as high school credit if you made an 85 or higher. I didn't even think about that...sorry. ^_^;
Originally posted by q z Nostalgia and harsh rejection. Longing for the past can be really painful in the right (wrong?) atmosphere. When I'm nostalgic, I get that empty feeling in my stomach, which is usually coupled with a bizarre breathlessness. It's hard to ignore. As for the latter, it's somewhat universal. Being discarded by something you desire or have a lot of respect for is rarely pleasurable.
I am so glad to know that I'm not the only one who lives in the past. I tend to hold onto things that have sentimental value to me, and when I think of them, I usually get sad. Sometimes I want to cry...I miss it all so much... Most of the time, it has to do with Aunt Kim and Uncle Ace (the ones who live out in Oregon) or my days when I used to always be with Lauren and Jeffery, playing Star Wars...I miss all that. Or when me and my sisters used to pretend we were the Super Mario Brothers or the Zelda Twins, or do the Chun-Li cheer...I hate growing up.
