1. I cry, but only when something REALLY gets to me. Last time I cried was actually this past Sunday and I cried harder and louder than I ever have before. I almost threw up. Someone actually came and knocked on my door (needless to say, I didn't answer it). Most of the time when I cry, it's when I've been hurt, scorned, or embarrassed. If someone I look up to is disappointed in me in ANY way, I'll cry. Examples: when I was in high school the captain of the dance team my first year on it was my IDOL. One day she just said "SHH!" to me and I started crying. Another time was last semester at work I was pissed and flicked off another employee. The told on me and Adam, my manager, took me in his office and was really nice and didn't get on to me or anything, but afterwards I went to the bathroom and cried for like fifteen minutes. I don't cry at movies and such. But yeah, I DO cry. And it hurts me to cry, physically, for some reason. I always get really nauseous.
2. Well, I was MOSTLY a Power Ranger, and Kimberly to be exact. From about third to fifth grade, when I lived in a trailer park (YIKES!), me and all the neighborhood kids would run home from school, watch Power Rangers, and then meet up afterwards and play Power Rangers.My sisters were the red and yellow ranger and these two boys we played with were the white and black ranger and then this other girl was the blue ranger. So yes. Of course, the green/white ranger was played by my little boyfriend at the time (lol, why? such a silly child...). And we always played on the trampoline so we could do flips and stuff. Then these new kids moved in and one was my age and all of sudden SHE wanted to be the pink ranger. It was NOT cool. She said that if we went in her yard, she was the pink ranger. Needless to say, we avoided her yard. BUT, on the weekends, it was a different story. When Aprill and Brittney came over, I took on a whole new persona. Me and Brittney were known as the Chun-Li Twins and the Zelda Twins. For the Chun-Li twins, we had a cheer that we would do (and both of us still know by heart) that corresponded with her moves on the game. As for the Zelda twins...well, I was the Zelda in the sanctuary and she was the one in the dungeon. (Think SNES, people.) We always had to be twins because if not, we'd fight over who'd get to be who. And that just wasn't happening. THEN, a major turning point of my life: middle school. I was Princess Leia something hardcore. And my boyfriend that I thought I was MADLY in love with and destined to marry was Han Solo. And my best friend, his sister, was Luke Skywalker. And we used to always go over to my Aunt and Uncle's and stay with them over the weekends and such and just watch all three Star Wars movies together. Then we'd go outside and play frisbee Star Wars style where my Uncle Ace played Obi-Wan and my Aunt Kim was Chewbacca. I was so obsessed with my Princess Leia persona that I could wear my hair in every single hairstyle she has, no kidding. I was an EXPERT at the Leia 'dos. But then I cut my hair (which was past my butt) and Aunt Kim and Uncle Ace moved away and Lauren and Jeffery moved on to other things and we entered high school and I had to leave it all behind. But I SWEAR those were the best times of my life. I always think about them and I wish sometimes it was still like that where the only thing I cared about was being some pretend character... Yes. So I haven't really grown out of it completely. After all, I still get Barbies and My Little Ponys all the time.
3. I am still working at my first job and it's pretty nice because it's at a dining hall on campus and so all of my coworkers are also college students whose parents don't give them everything they want and need a few extra bucks. I enjoy it alot. And I get to pick my own schedule. And such. Yes. I love it. I'm sorry about your job. I always refused to work at a grocery store for some reason. I always felt that it was very degrading...>.>
4. Well, I woke up, took a shower, got dressed, went to racquetball, went to the CLC and studied for Sociology, went to O-Chem, went to take Sociology test, went back to CLC to work on Chem lab report, went to Chem lab, came home, ordered Chinese with my roommate, watched Napolean Dynamite, talked to my Ryan for a while, and then went to sleep. Yep, it was a normal day pretty much. Except that I didn't get to see my Ryan for Valentine's day. But that's alright. We got to spend the weekend together. AND OH MY GOSH, I am so sick and tired of people whining and complaining about Valentine's Day. It is the COOL thing to do now to hate V-day if you're single. Or heck, even if you're not single it's COOL to hate V-day. Just GET OVER IT. Maybe I hate the Fourth of July. It's just another day of the year. And just because no one gave you anything, doesn't mean you have to wallow in self-pity.
5. Well, if we're going to be taking husbands along, I'd take treton noir any freaking day. Give me that Eagle Scout, baby.
6.
You could at least get good fastfood chicken. Popeye's for life!
Yeah, Popeye's is awesome and such, but I'm pretty much limited to what I can get in Athens right now and I don't know where a Popeye's is. The places I mentioned are either on campus or on the way to Walmart. And GOSH, James, I know! I have chicken every single day somehow or another. Whether I have a chicken salad sandwich or sweet and sour chicken from a chinese place, chicken is there and it is so so so so so good. Of course, it might not be very good for me to be saying all of this because I am starving to death and don't get to go home and eat for about four or more hours. *dies* Stupid Kix cereal doesn't sustain me for ANYTHING!
7. I'm addicted to my childhood. I just can't let go of the fact that I'm about to be 20 years old and that I'm in my second year of college. I still want Barbies, I still want toys, I still want Kid's Meals from McDonald's for the cute My Little Ponys in them. My favorite color is pink and everything I own is pink. Heck, I even have pink hair right now. I don't think I'm ever going to grow up, even though I really do need to. I'm also addicted to chicken. Namely Sonic's Chicken Club Toaster, Zaxby's, and Chik-fil-A. I could eat chicken all day and all night and never get tired of it.
8. Well, there are maybe a handful of people that I wouldn't mind being with...and they are: [strike]Tony aka Semjaza Azazel: You know, I don't know why, but he is the first person that I thought of. Maybe it's because I've finally got to start talking to him again after such a long period of time, but Tony and I can have some pretty deep conversations. And if you're stranded on a deserted island and there probably isn't much else to do, then I guess Tony and I could just sit and talk. Or something. Or maybe something else...who knows. ^_~ Kenneth aka DeathKnight: I would have Ken because he is my Knight. And he would protect me from all the evilness of the island. And he would give me magical soda so that I would forget that I was stranded on a deserted island! =D Megan aka Arcadia: With our useful racquetball skills, we would assemble a court of primitive makings and start the first racquetball team on the island. Of course, we would probably be the only ones playing, but if there were natives, they would think we were GODDESSES! And that's not even counting our amazing good looks! Sara aka ...Sara: Because Sara would make me feel better. She's a comforter. She reminds me of a mother. And everyone needs a mother.[/strike] EDIT: You know what? Screw my list. I hate that my list is practically the same as everyone else's list. I wish that the OB wasn't just Tony/James/Sara/Ken/Megan run. Give other members a chance. But I guess I'm guilty of not practicing what I preach because I have no freaking idea who a lot of people on here now are. I guess that's what happens when you've been here 3+ years and are super elitist. *sighs deeply* I think it's the rain, I SWEAR.
9.
On the positve side, there are a couple things I like. You get free text books and free classes. (college students, you know what I mean)
Oh my GOSH, you aren't kidding. I spend around $300-$500 per semester on books alone. Sometimes I get lucky and have to use the same book for a two-part class (most of my sciences are like that). Yeah, buying textbooks really sucks.
10. What is it? Queen Asuka and PiroMunkie=Three Years! Why is it nifty? Well, I'd have to say that it's pretty freaking awesome that our marriage is three years strong. We weren't the first, but we were definately the ones that lasted. We won OB Best Couple all three years in a row. Our children are not other members of the OB and we actually have family portraits. I'd have to say there must be something to our friendship that it just keeps going on strong. Yay for OB Marriage.
11. When I was about two, I fell in a pool and was laying on the bottom when someone finally noticed me and saved me. So of course, I don't remember that. However, last January, I was driving to pick my mom up from work in the pouring down rain on the interstate and the truck hydroplaned, slid around, hit the wall in the middle of the interstate and flipped five to six times, landing upside down. This man came over and pulled me out of my seatbelt and such. I was so scared. I cried hysterically. I got off without a scratch. My socks were pretty soaked, however, as my shoes fell off when the man pulled me out of the truck.
12. Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I'm really enjoying this chapter and I can't wait to see the ending that James comes up with (hopefully soon!). Josh, your post was very fun, as was James's. I LOVE the story. ^_^ So cute, so sweet, so frisky! Whee! Yayness.
13.
IGod, I hated that Quizno's Subs commercial that had those rat-things!!!!!![/color']
Dude, that commercial was so freaking awesome, lol. My favorite commercial that I can think of off the top of my head right this moment is the Geico commercial that's supposed to be like a reality tv show and the couple have to live in the really small house. It's so freaking convincing, even though I've seen the commercial a billion times. The most ANNOYING commercial on TV is the stupid TitleMax commercial. I'm not sure if this is a local commercial or what, but I guess their dumb commercials consisting of "I got my title back with TitleMax!" just wasn't enough. Now they have this commercial with people dancing around with huge wads of cash and there is this woman with BIG nasty SHINY lips singing and I just want to STRANGLE HER! Everytime I see this commercial I want to cry and scream! IT MAKES ME ANGRY! Please tell me someone else knows what I'm talking about.
14. I joined because my friend Anna (I'm sure that NO ONE remembers her) was a member and I thought it looked neat. It was actually my first message board. I'm glad to say that I wasn't VERY spammy, but I really did enjoy employing the smileys to the fullest extent without them being annoying or misplaced. That was way back in November of 2001. I've been here three whole years! And what a fun three years it's been. I loved being a moderator, but gah, I so needed to retire. I'm really glad I did. I haven't been in the Anime Lounge since... >.>;
15. So far, I'm about as a re-read to the same point as the posts that you've all made thus far, and since I've read the book, I have to say that my opinion came for it once I had finished the book completely. While reading it, it seemed a chore (as most reading assignments do), but then in the end I thought it was great. And re-reading it is really fun because I can pick up on later connections easier, especially in the beginning when Snowman is remembering stuff.
16. Ah... That PiroMunkie is as sexy as Queen Asuka is evil. So why DOES Queen Asuka have to be evil, anyway? I mean, sure, it gives her that EDGE she never had, especially when it was pointed out that she was the last surviving member of Adam's Angels, but EVIL?! Ah well. I enjoyed the story thus far. ^_^
17.
I don't use the little packet, powdery things, I use chocolate syrup in hot milk.
Why has this never occurred to me? As soon as I am in a location where both milk and chocolate syrup are within my grasp, I'm going to see what this is like for myself.
18.
I live in Georgia. One of the most boring places I have ever lived. I would much rather be back in Wisconsin, lol. And I live in the middle of nowhere. Nearest store (like a Target or something) is 45 minutes away. >_> People also hang out in the parking lot of a grocery store.
What part of Georgia do you live in? The way way down south part of Georgia? I am originally from Macon, but I live in Athens right now attending UGA. I really like it there, although I'm kind of lonely. It sucks to be in college and to not have a way around except for the city buses. But yeah, whooptido. I REALLY love Georgia; it's so beautiful here and there are trees and green grass! Sure, it gets HUMID as all get out in the summer, but what can I say? I LOVE it. ^_^
I'm here in the United States. I also live in Georgia in a town called Powder Springs. I've lived here my whole life. I really wanna get the hell out of here though...way too boring. Oh well, I'm proud to say that I'm a Georgia boy!
Yeah, I guess Georgia can be boring, but then I think of what is considered "entertaining" and then I shiver. I would really hate to live anywhere else...
Another problem is that utah was originaly settled by a religious group called the mormons, i'm sure you've heard of um, and no disrespect intended but try being bisexual in a state full of extreme protestants.
Ah, those Utah Mormons. I am a Mormon (hahahahaha), but things seem WAY more chilled out anywhere outside of Utah and Idaho. I don't think I could ever be LDS and live out west.
19.
I went through my archives and had a chill fit, though. If my first thread isn't the prime example of l33tn00bishness, I don't know what is. >.>; AH and the RPGs. ....Terrifying.
Oh my gosh, I have recently went through and read some old threads and posts of mine and it is so SCARY. I hardly believe that I am the same person...it is just so funny to see how I've grown and matured over the time that I've been here at the OB. It's also fun to see how those around me, not to mention the entire OB, have done the same. Man, I remember when I used to hate Ken and Neil. Now we are all very close. I love my Knight and Executioner! ^_^
20. I am 19 and a half. ^_^ Or, I'll be 20 in about five months or so. I came to the OB in 2001 (I think?) so I was probably around 16 at the time. I know that back in November I passed my three year mark here, so I HAD to be 16 when I joined. Yeah, I was sixteen...lol. I used to be so obsessed with anime, but now I rarely ever watch it. Being in college zaps your resources unbelievably. It's tragic because I miss it, but I'm content on a $10 manga every now and then.
21. FUN! I am so happy to be described as my lovely Chiiness. ^_^ So far, so good. Except I am really having a hard time imagining guys in bikinis...eh. Maybe it's some sort of mental block... >.>; PS. I LOVE THE NEILNESS! We got to talk football last night; it was AWESOME! ^_^;
22. It's really rare for me to buy a CD of band if I haven't been a fan for a LONG LONG time. But I bought this CD. And I really liked it. But one day I wanted to listen to Audioslave and so I took it out and set it aside. Now I can't find it. It's been missing since, and I've cleaned my room plenty of times. I keep hearing it being played around me in my apartment complex, so I have this theory about someone stealing it... >.> I'm sure it will turn up eventually. ^_^;
23. YOU'RE ARIKA! *ponders how that sounds like a scientific discovery catch-phrase* @_@ I was wondering where in the world you went off to. I think I'm going to change your username on the OB pics site so I'll know from now on. AND YES, SEXY BANDITS, your sexy pics need to be on the website. *evil grin*
24. I'm sure that this book will definately appeal to the general audience here at the OB, as it is FASCINATING. I will definately get my copy of the book back from my boyfriend and if not, there HAVE to be copies at the enormous mammoth library in my hometown. So yes, you already know that I'm in on the bookclub and such. ^_^ I like the calendar idea. And since most people will be on holiday during this time, it should be easy for people to sit around and read. Besides, what do we all have better to do, REALLY?
25. I don't have a nickname, lol. But Mimmi calls me Sexyness, as does my boyfriend, so maybe that one will be the one that comes into consideration. (Even though I am already the magnificient QUEEN ASUKA!) I have a hang nail so it really hurts to type. Um, about me. I'm beautiful. I'm vain. I love to love. I REALLY like the color pink. I REALLY like Stone Temple Pilots, and yeah, my finger hurts while I type this, so maybe more later. :D
