Well, you guys know you have to give whoever wrote the opening theme credit. That is a really nice use of rhyming words and it's not all that cheesy! We usually catch this show on Saturday mornings and we think it's stupid, but I still like the opening theme how it goes.

Alright, here's the rundown from someone who's read the manga and seen the anime and recommends the manga. Hideki finds Chi in a dumpster. I think most of you understand that. He struggles with feelings towards her and she is mostly trying to figure out her own. Because she runs without an OS, she is suspected to be this urban legend called a Chobit. It's a pretty mature series with lots of mature situations, but yeah. I love it and the artwork is beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Tix, please work on your post quality. I just had to delete three of your posts in a row because they were complete spam. This thread needs closed anyway...

I'm sorry, but every post in this thread except for the last one is complete spam. Instead of deleting them all, I'm just closing this topic. If you want to discuss Trigun, do it in an older thread. And please, when you start a thread, put alot more thought into the beginning post. Thread Closed.

Well, I haven't done one of these in a while, but here's the latest. I think I did it towards the end of June. I hope you all like it, especially Deb and Jenna. I think this one is the coolest of them all, really. ^_^ Tell me what you think.

Well, it seems that when most of us hit college we sort of stray away for a while, but I just don't see that happening to me anytime soon until I'm married with kids. So yeah...sort of like good ol' Seph. And hey, he's still around. I tend to cling to the older members because they seem to be slipping away. I realized that I don't know alot of these new members and that I have no idea what's going on anymore.

Tical, this is your last warning, and now I'm just going to report you. You are always posting these short and almost pointless posts that most of the time I'm having to delete. I keep warning you in threads and I know that I've sent you at least one private message. This is your last chance to clean up your post quality.

I have the first volume of this series and I've had it for a while and I must say that I really just don't like it. It's not my type of anime and it was just disgusting. I'm pretty sure the AS version is edited because it's a pretty mature anime...

Sara, all I have to say is thank you. You made me feel very happy with that post. You have the most perfect way of putting things. Well, since I am the female, I can always tell the story with much more detail. ;) It all started back in November 2001 when I joined the OB. Piro was one of those guys that was sort of mysterious and so I made it a point to talk to him. I started talking to him on AIM because he impressed me so much on the OB. As a joke I asked him to marry me. He was like "Seriously?" and I said "No, just as a joke." and so it started out as a joke, but funny how things change right? We are closer than anyone else on the Otaku can be with one another. Sure, Syk and Mei may claim to have this undying love for one another, they are only 14 or so. It would be amazing if they stayed together. I remember the "undying love" I had for someone when I was that age. Lasted about a year and then was gone. But as for me and Piro, he is my best friend around here. I love to talk to him and tell him things. If you don't talk to him, you're missing out!!!!! And yes, it has been over a year and a half, so I think we are definately the longest run and best couple. By the way, Piro and I are the first and original Otaku Boards married couple. Everyone else just followed suit and no one else has endured as long as we have.

I knew this thread existed and even though it is months OLD, I had to post in it anyway. This forum needs a little livening up and a bit of pink. Okay, you guys, I swear this game was made for girls and not guys. Well, here's my story anyway... Before I ever played the game, I had the swimsuit calendar. Why? Because I think the DOA girls are adorable and I love seeing them in the most precious bathing suits ever. Especially my darling Kasumi. and Leifang. ^_^ Anywho, I got to play this game while I was here in Oregon, and let me tell you, I LOVE IT! It's so easy to play, but it's so fun! I love dressing my girls up cute everyday. You can fix their hair, paint their nails, give them shoes, jewely, accessories, buy them FOOD, a gun, other misc items, and the best part, buy them new bathing suits! And I love how you have to try to partner up with people. I think Kasumi has a harder time than others. Last night I was playing with Kasumi and I got the bunny bikini. It has to be my absolute favorite on the entire game. I swear this game was made for girls.. A guy couldn't POSSIBLY know what he was doing...unless he secretly played with BARBIES!! And by the way, I didn't see much bouncage. I think guys let their imaginations run wild. I just hate the Christie is always wearing a thong and everytime I give her a swimsuit she trashes it...GRRR...

Ah, speaking of Fortune cookies, I got let in on the Whitman family tradition. They don't say "in bed," they say "between the sheets." And everyone has to go around and read there's aloud and add that at the end. It was quite funny and we got to do it on two occassions while I was here in Oregon. I liked it...I think that's one thing I'll miss...Guess I'll have to start my own tradition.
Ah, Transtic, you just made my day. I thought that the day couldn't look darker, but that made me feel really good. Thanks alot. ^_^ *Hugs him tightly* No wait...*Makes Ryan hug him tightly* :D Anywho, I guess it's my turn to put down the people who have changed me...there's quite a few so bear with me... Kenneth, my dear Kenneth, of course I had to put him first. He's such a fun person and it seems like I haven't talked to him in forever and that really makes me VERY VERY sad! Kenneth, you can't not be around... I don't like that... PiroHon, my husband, well obviously, he's my OB husband. He's very fun to talk to and he gave me newfound respect for some types of music I didn't think I was very fond of. *Thumbs up* Neilness, my Royal Executioner, whether you believe it or not, I love you to death. Thanks for all the randomness. The Joshness, even though I didn't change him, he has changed my outlook on a bit of life dealing with certain issues (I'm sure he doesn't realize this...) And come ON, he works at Disneyland! Deborahness, also known as Lady M for those of you who aren't on a first name basis. She's just such a beautiful person and she helped me find a bit of strength inside myself and helped me feel more confident...along with... Jennaness, who always told me how beautiful I was, but I never believed her. Now I do. Thank you, Jenna. *Huggles her* Semjaza Manaza aka the Tonyness, which is my favorite person to talk to in the wee hours of the morn when no one else is on. He always tells me I'm his hero, so I like that. ^_^; Jamesstuff, well he's neat to talk to. He tells me about the plushies, after all. And then there's the people that I love alot on here: Juuthena Deedlit Anna Amibaski Saraness Raiha TRANSTIC! Harlequin & Raven and others that I really respect.

I have two that I have to go with here. When I was seven, I saw Akira. If that's not something that can mess a kid up, I don't know what is. Next, when I was a sophomore, I watched Perfect Blue. That movie freaked me out so badly. And the strange thing is, I watched it by myself, and that's not something I can usually do. But I was ready to give it back to the guy I had borrowed it from. I guess anything related to Evangelion is disturbing. ^_^

Gah, people, if I wasn't such a huge Ranma fan, I WOULD close this thread. These posts are HORRIBLE! But, I have to post my own say so. My favorite character is Shampoo. She's so cute and adorable and I love the way she talks. She has the most gorgeous hair and she's a RAMEN CHEF! How awesome can you get? And I love the whole show, but my least favorite character is Akane. She just irritates me terribly.

Well, I'd have to go with Chi from Chobits, at least, back when my hair was longer. I absolutely adore her, especially in the manga series, and I just wish I could have her wardrobe. I always want to learn how to work a sewing machine so I can start making costumes like hers for cosplay. It would be awesome...Oh well, I'm happy enough looking like the blonde Asuka Langley. ^_^

Well, I hope for your sake ReTarr that you see lots of more anime in your lifetime if you were shocked at X. I have seen the movie, which was TOO SHORT, but really good, and I have seen the first two volumes of the TV series. I like the TV series but I hate the way that Kamui is so RUDE to Kotori...I want them to hurry up and fall in love already...It's driving me insane! And TICAL PLEASE! I'm tired of deleting your posts! Clean up your post quality!

Anime Does Anyone Else's Parent's Like Anime?
Queen Asuka replied to Moor_Child's topic in Otaku Central
Well, my mom will watch it sometimes, but not really my dad. He doesn't ever have a chance to really. My mom loved Fushigi Yugi, though. She would watch it with us everytime we got a new volume. And she used to record Pokemon for us too when me and my sisters were into that. We haven't watched any together in a long time, though...and that makes me sad...oh well. -
Well, I prefer my anime to be just that: anime. I'm not a big fan of the live action stuff, so I'd be a little bit afraid of what could happen. There's just alot of things that you can't pull off in live action, no matter how many special effects you add.
-
That was so good, Deb. I can feel your emotions just by reading these words, especially since I talked to you that one time. I know that Christophe was beautiful and that he's watching over you right now. Hopefully he will have brothers and sisters one day that love him and know who he is. ^_^
-
Oh, I definatley recommend Chobits, if that's what you are thinking about. It's my favorite manga series. That's one splurge I'm glad happened. Although most of them were purchased FOR me.

I know for a fact it was when I was 12 years old because I lied about my age until I turned 13. Then I wasn't ashamed anymore. For me, it started off as AOL. I became addicted to chat and I was always in the Playstation room. I had so many friends...it was unreal. One day I decided to start using Yahoo Chat. I had SO MANY friends on there and some of the deepest relationships. I think I grew up there. I was an old member and very well known. There was so much drama, but I couldn't pull myself away from it. That lasted about four years... I found the Otaku in my Junior year. I love this place and all of the friends I've made. But this internet just isn't as thrilling for me as it once was...especially as it was back in the yahoo days. I MISS those days when I was known as Kass and I was Kim's little sister...*sighs and walks off* By the way, that's where the Queen of Plushies originated. ^_^

Favorite Amusement Park Ride! BWEE!
Queen Asuka replied to Dragon Warrior's topic in General Discussion
Originally posted by Shy My favorite ride is probably the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. The ride seems a little dated by today's standards, but I still love it. Everything about it is just a lot of fun, and I wish that other parks would try to emulate the storytelling that Disney theme parks do so well. All other amusement parks are a joke, in my opinion.
Ha, the Haunted Mansion. That ride is so cute. The first year I went to Disneyworld I thought it was boring, but this year me, Anna, and this girl named Emma were riding it together and this head popped out of a stump and all three of us screamed and then burst into laughter. I'd have to say that was too much fun. As for my favorite rides, well there are so many, so I'll just list them all. The Aerosmith Rock n Rollercoaster, MGM Studios, Disneyworld. It's one of those coasters that takes off super fast. It's indoors and lit with blacklights and it blares Aerosmith as you're riding it. SOOOO fun. The 3D Spiderman ride, Universal Islands of Adventure. OH MY GOSH, this is the coolest ride ever because it's 3D and everything feels so real. Everytime I ride it I'm freaked out because I always think a brick is going to hit me in the face. The Tower of Terror, MGM Studios, Disneyworld. I swear, we rode this ride a billion times in a row this year and planned out funny faces to make for each picture. It may just drop you up and down, but it's so THRILLING! I knew the little videoclip by heart. ^_^ The Hulk Rollercoaster, Universal IOA. Well, it's not as fast as the Aerosmith one and it's outdoors, but it's still amazing and fun. The Ninja, Six Flags over Georgia. This ride scares me so bad when it goes up that HUGE hill, but it's SOOOO much fun after it begins to drop. Dueling Dragons, Universal IOA. It looks like you're going to collide into the other coaster that winds around it. The fire dragon (aka red coaster) is the best. ^_^ I think those are my absolute favorites, but I know I'm leaving some out, like the Mindbender at Six Flags. And as for the Gravitron, man, I hate that ride! ^_^;
