[color=crimson][size=1]Oh, I totally agree with you, in the growth sense. I believe in growth as well. That is how MOST people start out. They see anime on TV and pursue it. Those are the TRUE fans. I'm talking about the idiots who claim they are anime know it alls when all they've actually seen is the mainstream stuff and that's all they watch and most likely even know about. I myself, although I saw many anime movies when I was VERY young, started out with my favorite show being Sailor Moon. I was too young to buy anime at the time and by the time I could buy it for myself, I had built up a vast amount of anime knowledge from research and borrowing and all that good stuff. Do you understand what I'm saying? I'm not 100% non-mainstream, but I am about 98%. I'm open to all respectable people.[/color][/size]

It would still remain my favorite anime series, but then countless idiots would be claiming it as theirs when all they would be seeing was the dubbed and chopped up version that should be illegal to air. And here's why, if anyone cares to read this: To me, mainstream anime is the highly popularized and awfully edited anime that they show on network television that is easily accesible to any audience and then they suddenly assume that they know everything about anime and are the biggest anime fans just because they like DBZ or Card Captor Sakura. My biggest gripe: All these DBZ idiots who think it's the best show in the world. If there was any show ever more stupid or anything, I would die of a heart attack and laugh as I saw pigs flying around my head or something...because it's not happening. DBZ is CRAP! And it's OLD! There will NEVER be new episodes of DBZ! The episodes are older than the fans who are so obsessed with them!!!!!!! In closing, I'd like to say that of COURSE dubbed anime isn't the same as Mainstream. Evangelion is a dubbed series and it's not mainstream. End of story. Now, I will say, I do like SOME anime that is mainstream, but it will never be my favorite or anything like that or of the sort.[/color][/size]

[color=crimson][size=1]Perfect Blue really freaked me out with the whole psychological aspect of it all, but otherwise it was a really good movie for a mature viewer. I don't think I'd let my kids watch it until they were in high school or so. But yeah, I thought it was good. It's one of the only mature anime movies that I actually like. Although the rape scene scares me so bad even though it's just them filming the movie. And NO, Perfect Blue is not hentai...[/color][/size]

[color=crimson][size=1]I like anime that has a love story and very attractive male characters and beautiful and elegant looking female characters. I'm falling more and more in love with manga lately because the artwork is always so much more detailed and graceful looking. Especially anything by CLAMP. I also like drawn out and in depth storylines that always leave you hanging and begging for more, with an element of everything in them. And if you want to know what type of show I hate, it's DBZ. That's about the stupidest show I've ever seen in my freaking life...[/color][/size]

[color=crimson][size=1]I read alot of this manga and I know the series is done by the same lady that does Vampire Princess Miyu. I liked Juline and I read it in either Tokyo Pop or Smile magazine, I cant' remember. I never was interested in it enough to go out and buy the graphic novels, but I still love the series and everything. I just thought the artwork could have been better. It was too light for my tastes. Not enough detail, I guess...[/color][/size]

Like Kamui, Ferio, Nataku, Hideki's buddy from Chobits, etc. Then I like George from Paradise Kiss...he makes me melt. Actually, him and Arashi from Paradise Kiss are my favorites now that I think about it... And Ask Ketchum...girl you haven't seen much anime, have you??? Of course, I haven't been to the anime store in forever to look at the videos...I keep spending all the little bits of money that I get on Manga and the such. But Inu-Yasha is SO cute! I love almost any work by Rumiko Takahashi.[/color][/size]

[color=crimson][size=1]I want to get the X tv series when it's released. I've been looking for the manga forever, and they don't sell it anywhere around where I live. That makes me so sad because I love CLAMP series. I have seen the movie, and it was good, but I just don't think should be able to make over 10 volumes of manga into a one hour movie! That should be illegal! But yeah, the artwork by CLAMP is just amazing and the storyline is so captivating. The TV series should be great.[/color][/size]

Linkin Park may not be a rock band, they are what you call a "Studio Band" but I still like them anyway because they don't sound like everyfreakingone else. And I like Chester, too. And I really like the version of "Crawling" on Reanimation with Aaron Lewis doing guest vocals. It's really pretty with all the stings and everything. It reminds me sort of Metallica's S&M album that was so awesome. And it also reminds me of A Perfect Circle, too.[/color][/size]
