1. I think that DBZ is completely pointless. I mean sure, there WAS a plot somewhere at the beginning of the series, but then it got sort of lost in all the pointless, stupid, fighting that just goes NO WHERE with the stupid predictable storyline with alot of bean eating idiots who can come back from the dead. I'd say that series was pretty darn pointless, don't you?
2. Well it might be a little while before I write one, but I am feeling slightly inspired right now because I'm sort of on the melancholy sides. This is becoming one of my more common moods as of late, but yes, you should go ahead and post yours.
3. Well, I might sit down and write a poem now JUST so I could post it in here. The only times I tend to sit down and actually think of a poem, it's when I have to do stuff for school. In the 9th grade, I wrote my Young Georgia Author's Poem on Final Fantasy VII, and mostly the death of Aeris, and how Cloud was going to get revenge on Sephiroth. A pretty good piece of work, if I do say so myself.
4. HEY, you know what, you guys reminded me of something. OLIVER WOOD WAS SO HOT IN THE MOVIE! He was the only character that I was completely satisfied with. NOW, we just need to see how sexy they make Cedric Diggory when he makes his big debut in the fourth novel. That part of the book where he got murdered made me SOB! That's the only time I've ever cried in a Harry Potter novel. But yeah, he was such an awesome guy and he didn't deserve to go that way... But yeah, Oliver Wood..I'm starting his official fanclub.. *Holds up a sign that says "Wood! I'm pregnant with your baby!"* Anywho...*coughs* O.o;;
5. I like depressing forms of poetry, that's whyI tend to lean more towards melancholy music with sad lyrics. But yes, I liked all of the sad poems, especially the first one you posted Phantom. The words you used to describe were beautiful. So yeah, I like the poetry. I haven't written any in forever and if I did now, it'd probably be sappy loves stuff because I can only write about what I feel and everything.
6. See, I thought the storyline was going to be more on the childish side, sort of like MKR or CCS, but I'm glad to see it's more for mature readers and everything. I like stuff like that. The nudity is a big disturbing because I'm not a perv or anything, but you definately don't want to be letting younger siblings read it. Just becuase of all the sexual situations, also.
7. I was going to start a thread on this series, but here it was, waiting for me! I was at Media Play tonight and I saw the manga, and I bought the first volume. I haven't finished reading it yet, but so far it is SO cute, and I love it. It's CLAMP, so I was REALLY wanting to get it, and it isn't disappointing at all. And CLAMP's manga is better than the TV stuff because it goes more in depth in my opinion. And Plum WAS adorable. It was funny when she became disfunctional all of a sudden, though. I think the idea of computers being shaped like sexy women is a little absurd, though. I wouldn't let my little sister read this series.. *Edit* In the manga, her name was spelled Chi.
8. I agree that CLAMP has alot of plot twists, but that's something you can always look forward to in their anime. *Spoiler Fushigi Yugi* I never figured that Nuriko was going to get killed, but then LOTS of members of the Suzaku Seven died, even Hotohori. That shocked me so much. And I never figured that Yui was actually going to summon Seiryu before Miaka could summon Suzaku. But yeah...
9. Justin, your fishing story reminds me of one of my own fishing stories. Last autumn, we went camping at Lake Sinclair, in Milledgeville Georgia, and I HATE fishing, but I was really bored, so I was throwing the line out and reeling it in VERY slow, but everytime something nibbled at it, I would jerk it by accident and it would escape every time. But ONE TIME it didn't and I just kept reeling and reeling but it just wouldn't come in. Finally, I just had to break the line. I got stuck on a log or something. And I swear I sat there for almost an hour trying to reel that thing in because I was going to be so proud of myself if I had caught a big fish because I hate fishing and I was THAT bored. Man, you can tell I live out in the country. And I have some family stories, but I will share mine when I read some more of others.
10. I don't have my liscence either, but I do have the right to drive a 4-wheeler! Especially since we owned it and everything! :D But yeah, I DID have a wreck one time on it... See the thing was, I was racing my sister and she was ahead of me and I was trying to watch her and catch up at the same time and I was on a very narrow part of the trail surrounded by a million little growing pine trees and I clipped one and it jerked the handle bars and then I just HIT one and it made me fall off the side, my leg getting stuck under the motor and I got the CRAP burned out of me. Now I have a very odd looking scar there. But yeah, I thought it was funny when it happened and I still laugh about it.
11. My sister did something like that one time. We were at my grandfather's house, and we didn't really know the terrain all that well, but we were racing, and I saw the drop off so I swerved and went around, but she didn't know it was there and kept going and she went right over the edge of it. She almost flew over the handlebars. It was sort of scary, but I laughed anyway. And she did, too. Of course, now we always bring it up as a joke, but yeah...
12. I like the Trucker look. It allows him to stand out because I mean, he could look just like everyone else. It's Terry's look that sets him apart from everyone else. At least he's not wearing a martial arts outfit. Now THAT is overdone.
13. Me and my sister got in trouble for racing and everything. My dad would be like telling us to quit, and we'd deny having done it, but then he would point out all the ruts we made in the woods on the trail tearing up the ground and everything. I think everyone should own a 4-wheeler! Of course, my Ryan hates them and thinks they are dangerous, but he's so lucky because he OWNS one! We had to sell ours... *sniffles*
14. It too me the longest time to get into the book because of the VERY beginning, at Bilbo's birthday party. I must have read that chapter like 70 times before I finally just started reading the book with the INTENT to complete it finally. And I fell in love with it and absolutely couldn't put it down. And the thing with Harry Potter is, actually, they had to dub over Harry's voice towards the end of the first movie because his voice was changing and it wasn't as childish anymore. So yeah, I can totally understand the voice change thing. I think it's cute though because the whole thing throughout the books is them changing and growing up and getting more mature. And speaking of Harry Potter, does anyone know for sure the release date for the fifth book because I am about to die waiting for it...
15. This reminds me, and I don't know if this is just a southern thing, but do people go mud bogging? That is the most fun thing in the world to do in a four wheel drive. I haven't been in forever, and the last time I did, I was on my 4-wheeler, which is way more fun because you actually get muddy and everything, but yeah...
16.
Originally posted by Anna Heck yeah, I'm totally STOKED to see the next LOTR movie. It's going to be WARP 10 TO THE MAX DUDE! lol... nevermind me....
Anna, you frighten me sometimes...yes you do... Anywho, I think that either Two Towers or Return of the King is going to be the best of the three. If the book is anything, I think the ending of Two Towers is going to be way more of a cliffhanger than it was in Fellowship.
17. Alot of people seem to favor the Black album, but my own personal favorite was the Reload album. I don't know why I liked it so much. I guess it was because the songs were a little more mellowed out, like the type of music that I like and everything.
18.
Originally posted by SS Trunks And if 39 is too "old" for some people, then their shallowness is deep... if that makes any sense.
Yes, it makes sense, but it sounds funny. Deep Shallow...oxymoron...ANYWHO, like I said earlier, I don't have anything against them being around for a long time, I just think it's funny that my grandma likes them and everything, you know what I'm saying? That's all I was pointing out. I love Metallica, so yeah...
19. Were you on a bike or a dirt bike or something? I like to ride my 4-wheeler ALOT, that was, until we had to sell it. But me and my sister used to ride through the woods behind my house and race and stuff and when it would rain we would go down through there and go through the deep mud puddles and get soaked and have chunks of mud hanging off of us. Those were the days...I miss my baby...*sniffles* I hated going UP hills, though, but down hill...now that was another story! :D
20. Not to mention, there are already many Yu Gi Oh threads started that could have been posted in instead of starting another one.
21. Wow, that gift set is looking some kind of interesting. I hear the words "Christmas Present" ringing in my ears and hey, it's only July! I never have enough money to spend on things like that and I never ask my boyfriend to buy anything for me, so I have no clue how in the world I'm going to be able to get those. *sniffles* Oh well, I'm sure that if I want it bad enough, then I will be able to get it somehow. And I would download the trailor if I was at home...of course, I'd have to delete it again because I wouldn't want to take up space on the computer, but yeah...And I would probably drool, too....just the thought of seeing my Legolas again...Oh oh oh Legolas....ANYWAYS.... Oh, you should read the novels. They may be long, but they are well worth the read. They go more in depth than the movie does and are completely enjoyable and everything.
22. I've seen the first three volumes of the TV series and the first volume of the OVA. I like the series, but it's definately not one of my favorites or anything. It's my sister's favorite series, though. I just don't get into it as much as she does. By the way, there was already a Kenshin thread started not long ago if you had looked it up and everything. This topic is almost like spam. I was just letting you know and everything...
23. I KNEW IT! I knew it all ALONG! See, me and two of my friends just KNEW that the portal to Middle Earth was located in New Zealand. So Flash my friend, are you going to uh, hook me up there buddy? *leans over close to him and puts her arm over his shoulder*
24. I think they are releasing it earlier than planned due to popular demand. And I don't think I can wait for the Special Edition DVD whenever it's coming out a month after the movie and everything. I'll just have to have what I can get when I can get it and stuff.
25. I like Mai Shirinui, too. She's so cute and happy and peppy all the time, not to mention she's such a kick butt fighter and she uses those awesome fans! Of course, it wouldn't hurt for the poor child to put some more clothes on. I'm more of a fan of the game than the anime. I just don't think that anime based on videogames is all that great, even though I do watch it and enjoy it on occasion and everything.
