Ah... I love this series. Especially Risa and Seiko-chan! (What?) The music from this series is great, and the characters are adorable!

A bit late to comment on this, but someone mentioned that
The final episode verified Haruhi x Tamaki.
Note that nothing that happened in the last episode ever happened in the manga. So, it is technically non-canon.
Although the manga seems to be leaning a bit toward Haruhi x Tamaki, there is also the case of Hikaru and Kaoru. I'm not entirely sure, but someone mentioned that Kaoru was the first member to say that he liked Haruhi. And it's not unlikely that Hikaru will confess to this as well. This is all speculation of course, but someone mentioned to me that Bisco Hatori's endings seem to be surprising. Having not read her other work, I wouldn't know. But let's not all start saying Haruhi x Tamaki yet.
My favorite characters are the Hitachiin twins, Kyoya, and Haruhi.

I fear I'll die if this isn't dubbed this year. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see the trailer... (My internet provider's parental control blocks prevent me from doing so. AOL must hate anime.) Looking at every single one of the spoilers has gotten me really excited about this! It's cool that
They portray Juliet as a strong female character. I.E., as the Red Whirlwind and kicking thug butt.
This anime is too good not to get dubbed. (But if it doesn't I'll just watch it on You Tube next time I'm away from the PCBs.)

The power chair commercial. It seriously gets on my nerves. Especially the one with all of the old people singing. Oh! This is kind of crude... But seriosly, the one's where they talk about how acid reflux disease can lead to "ED". Stuuuupid and gross. Makeup commercials. I hate those commercials. Especially when they give the products stupid names. Alliteration may get it stuck in someone's head, but it doesn't mean they'll buy it. Hair dye/ shampoo commercials. Mostly because they are all some super model or celebrity who gets her hair done professionally and probably doesn't even use the product. Plus, the hair is never real. They just go in and animate over the hair flipping scenes to make hair seem shinier. The biggest load of BS ever. Car commercials in general have to be the most annoying thing ever, besides commercials for the small businesses that just repeat the same thing over and over. Oh, and Chuck E Cheese commercials. I can't watch Toonami without wanting to barf anymore.

Manga What do you look for in a manga's story?
Rambling_soup replied to kaekara's topic in Otaku Central
I have varied tastes, though I tend to lean towards shojo manga. I often buy manga for the romance. I am romance obsessed. But I don't like angsty romance manga, or angst in general. Humor is a great plus, though not entirely necessary. I like manga that have both incredibly likable and incredibly hateable characters. Such as Fruits Basket. Where I like characters such as Tohru, Momiji, Saki and Kyo, yet hate characters like Shigure (From time to time. Conniving jerk.). Great villains are a must. Whether the villain is someone I love to hate, or just love. My favorite villain is Akito Sohma. So twisted. Original storylines are great, that said, I have no issues with cliched plots. Even if the basic plot of a story is cliche, the storyline itself might be original. The most overused plots can be turned into the best stories. I love characters that have plenty of depth. One-layered characters are just boring. Of course, the best characters are the weird ones, the kinds that you don't usually come across in your typical manga. Such as Naka Kaburagi, from Nosatsu Junkie. (Though Umi is great as well.) Also, if a manga can make me laugh or cry, then I know it's good. I love manga that I can't put down until I finish. Well... That's about it. -
Nosatsu Junkie is a relatively new manga out here in the states. (I can't remember the Manga-ka's name, sorry.) This story is about Naka Kaburagi, a pretty girl whose face looks like a criminal's when she smiles. She is rejected by her crush because her "Face is kinda scary.". Her crush then began to rant about how he prefers a girl with "A smile like a flower.". Enter Umi Kajiwara. Umi is an incredibly popular model whose "Flower like smile" charms men and women alike. Naka, wanting to get revenge on her crush by learning to smile like a flower, gets a job at Umi's modeling agency. Unfortunately, because of her smile, she can't get a job. Until the day that she enters a modeling contest judged by Umi herself. While on her way, Naka runs into Umi. Umi drops
A proctology clinic card.
and Naka learns her secret.
She, is really a he! In return for keeping his secret,
Umi gives Naka the job she was auditioning for, and she becomes Umi's co-model! This manga is full of humor and light romance, Naka and Umi's antics are a blast! So far, only two volumes are out in the states, and a third one should be coming out in september. Does anyone else like this manga?

Well, I don't remember the Mew Mew Power (Cringe... they even changed the name!) theme, but it probably sucked as much as everyone said. (I just hated the dub in general.) I really, really hated the first Naruto opening theme. There is nothing musical about people shouting. I personally didn't like the dub Fruits Basket theme, but the original japanese version is beautiful. Actually, I was disappointed in funimation for dubbing an anime theme. As much as I respect them, they should know not to mess with a good thing.

Well, I myself have no problems with Keiko and Yusuke, but i prefer the Hiei and Botan pairing. Yu Yu Hakusho is currently airing on funimation channel. (Which is not an actual channel but a daily string of anime series. With different shows on the weekends than on weekdays.) But funimation channel has the bad habit of restarting the series it shows about thirty episodes in. Before it restarted it was at the begining of the dark tournament saga. Yu Yu Hakusho has to be one of my favorite series. Unlike some series where the fights last forever (Cough, DBZ), or other series where the story takes too long to develop (Naruto. Took way too long for Tsunade to appear.), Yu Yu Hskusho has wonderful pacing. The characters are hilarious, and they are impossible to hate! I thought Kuwabara was stupid for quite a while, and I disliked Keiko for a while, but I've grown a new respect for them. Though Hiei and Botan are still my favorite characters.
