1. Gah, final exams. Don't remind me. I get a sick feeling of guilt for being here rather than being at the books... I'm only worried about the sciences and economics. I mean, who finds Russian hard.
 2.
Originally posted by Anna :therock: Love, eh? Heh....... you think it's love. Well, have fun with those feelings buddy, nothing wrong with feeling good. Alas, I have not really been fortunate in the department of relationships, at least romantic ones. I've had a good bit of close guy friends, but most of them remained that way. My strongest one was almost destroyed because of romantic interest, but we still keep in touch at least. Right now I have a couple of prospects, but I doubt they'll be any different from other relationships I've had. I dunno..... I guess I have one of those "walls" up. Can't help it really , it's just the way I am. But anyway, congrats on your newfound happiness. ^_^
Lol, he may think it's love, but that's what the feeling is to him. You can't define what love feels like. People just understand what it is like. There are probably millions of variations on what love feels like, and I think most of them are right... Yeah, I've got loads of close friends, and a few of them are girls, but I wanted to avoid what happened to Anna. I want to stay friends, yet there were periods where I could knew that we must have been flirting... But lol, I'll get my chance. Apparently, I'm quite a flirt (So I've been told. Just 'cos I have luck with girls). I'm one of those guys that catches the drift from subtle messages from girls, like way too late (Like after they've left the country). But I'm learning, I guess... There was one girl I really, really liked, and when I found out she had a boyfriend when I came after not seeing for six months, I was kinda crushed, but then I felt happy for her, as she'd finally dragged herself out of a world she didn't like to be in. In the end, it's still all good, and were still really close friends...
 3.
Originally posted by sailor stardust lol, It wasn't my fault! My stupid english teacher dismissed us late.....
Excuses, excuses. As DBZ ChikaGhan said, how did your tampon fall out, lol. Like you must not have been concentrating when getting dressed or something...
 4.
Originally posted by Nekkyo gosh.. all of these are incredebly funny. although i never really had anything really embarassing. well.. i have something close. i was at the skating rink and my friend and i had traded shirts. she was wearing a tube top so i was wearing it after we switched. in the snack bar, one of my other friends pulled down my top. and i wasnt wearing anything under it. i was so mortified!!:nervous: i never wear tube tops anymore. they called me tube top girl for weeks and weeks after that!
Lol, that must have been REALLY embarrasing. I don't know if mine can measure up. Well, here I go: As soon as I sat on a coach for 8 hours, I got the worst case of "The runs". I sat next to friend, clutching my stomach and mortified with pain for hours. We made a stop, and I had to relieve myself in the "Great outdoors". Then, when we got to the second stop, I made to the toilets, only to find out I was in the women's toilets. Then I made my way to the filthiest toilet ever. And my stomach still hurt. Once we got to our destination, I had to go to the toilet (Again) and found my way into the girl's one (Again. I only realised this once I got out). I was seen, this time, by two foreign boys and girls, who began to laugh at me, as I was totally oblivious, having finally got my stomach to stop hurting. I looked round, and... Oh, god... Luckily, they found it funny, and I became friends with them. I have to thank my friend, who took my mind off the pain of food poisioning by talking and scratching me all the way there... Not a good day at all...
 5.
Originally posted by gokents i just want to blow my big gas guzzling capitalist democratic american horn. we beat portugal and most americans just go ha, because it only mattered to the people who play the game. we're happy for our boys that won. but we're even happy to smite europeans. jk, but it is cool.
Yeah, I heard it was only a "Minor" news bulletin...
 6. Nah, Portugal lost to the USA *GASP* today, but man, if only that guy in defence could have scored in the right goal... Really, France and Argentina and maybe Brazil will win it. But 8-0... That's a huge defeat...
 7. For anyone who's interested in football (Soccer for the Yanks), who will win the World Cup? Senegal seem to have started surprisingly well, beating the champions France. I thought this was kind of surprising, as Senegal were newcomers... I can't wait to watch the matches during the half-term. Ahh, there's nothing like a whole week of good football. I personally think Argentina are going to win, but I'm no expert at football, so... Anyway, happy viewing! Edit: I'm voting for Croatia, however! Go Croatia!!!
 8.
Originally posted by DBZChikaGhan The world, in theory, would be better without money, terrorism, killing, murders, death, hatred, etc. Personally I believe no wrong can come of eliminating ever religion from ever existing, but this is besides the point. In theory the world would function as a better place and be a utopia without all the things listed and more, but that is only in theory. It won't ever happen. Someone is always going to be there to oppose the law, someone is always going to think they have the right to take another person's life, someone is always going to hate someone else. It will never stop. Arguing won't help at all.
Personally, I think it is down to the flaws humans possess a species, and the flaws brought about by free will. Not that free will is a bad thing, of course. All these characteristics are human traits, and can sometimes be shown as animalsitic behaviour. We both want power, we both want our own terriotory, and more things besides. It's basic instinct. Utopia can never exist, hence the name "Theory". We, as a species, will not allow ourselves a utopia, as someone will always have a different way of getting utopia compared to the person next to him. That is why books illustrate that utopia is usually achieved through brainwashing people to believe what they want them to believe, so they all think the same, and can achieve "Utopia". Free will denies utopia, due to people's individualism...
 9.
Originally posted by Vegitto4 wrong, and right. Clothes are not just clothes. They suually define you as a person, because thats how this stupid world works. But I;m tired of debating this topic. Can't it be closed!!!!!
So clothes are more than just clothes? It truly depends on where you are. As Anna implied, don't judge a book by its cover. There are many other ways to define social class in this stupid world. Unfortunately, clothes is one of them. Whatever happened to clothes that were just to cover yourself from being naked?
 10.
Originally posted by gokents money, what would we do with out it.... maybe get along.
As they say
Money is the root of all evil
But when you think about it, where would we be without money. We couldn't trade, and we'd be backward.
 11. Isn't usually a group of the same clothed people a group of clones? Usually they all think the same, act the same. Might as well be one person. But this is usually a huge overexaggeration. I go to a school which wears uniforms, so I understand. It's usually the people with enough brains to fill one head that act as one person. This, of course, is a double-edged sword. It is important to me how I present myself, but I will never be anyone else's clone. I'm an individual, and I dress how I like. Isn't that what individualism is all about?
 12.
Originally posted by Cera I only accept criticism from those more talented than myself. In the same way, I only accept praise from those more talented than myself. They'll know what they're talking about on that subject, and I can learn from it. If it's some random moron, I ignore them when they criticize the same way I ignore them every other time they open their mouth. I accept comments from anyone. Tell me you like a drawing, and that I will accept. It is a comment, an opinion. You are entitled to think that. Tell me that such and such a story is the best ever!, and I will smile and ignore you, as it is obviously untrue. Criticisms are preferable to blind praise. Praise means much more from the mouth that will also criticize when needed.
I agree, that praise and criticism should only come from people of greater skill, and it usually does mean a lot more than from someone who you believe is less talented at that subject. Of course anyone accepts comments, but that does not necessarily mean you will act upon them, as I think was your point. (?) But what do you do when it is difficult to judge the talent of others, like on the boards? I would find myself asking if I were to take their criticisms or not, and use the esteem of some members as a forebearing to my conclusion of which criticism to act upon.
 13.
Originally posted by Heaven's Cloud ...::Scratches his head::...so...uhmmm, do you want to come over tonight;) Now that we have digressed to talking about "sluts" I think I'll put in my two cents. Who cares if a girl sleeps around? Sex is fun (when you are an older consenting adult), and no one seems to get to mad when us guys sleep around. I say sleep around if it makes you happy, but don't feel pressured to do it. It is fun, but only when two people want to do it.
I know that some people may not agree with me, but we still live in a largely male dominated society the world over. The reason why men are seen as "Studs" if they sleep with many women is because their male friends see it that way, and make it a compliment. The jealous girlfriend/lover's view would not be heard, but it would be drowned out by the male's views. Same with women. If a girl goes around sleeping with loads of guys, some guy along the line is going to get jealous, and label her a "Slut", as he is jealous of her sleeping with other guys. Their view will be expressed more publiclly, and God knows why, taken in more, and therefore she will be branded a "Slut" by people.
 14.
Originally posted by DBZChikaGhan Maybe so Raven, but would you like it if thousands were wiped out where you are? Just bc your political leaders f*cked up?
I believe that this would go for Afghanistan and America. Remember, America has probably killed more civilians in the world than Afghanistan, secretly and in open theatres of war. I would say that it goes that the WHOLE political system is f*cked up, but that's over-exaggerting slightly...
 15.
Originally posted by Sveven Dvorking What is Monty Python & The Holy Grail?
Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a comedy starring many British comedians, and is basically a spoof of Sir Arthur and his knights. It is quite funny, lol. I recommend you see it.
