Just a question for all our GTA fans on OB. When did you all pick up the series? Was it GTA3? Or was it pig ugly graphics, great gameplay GTA? It's just interesting to know what people think about the old ones, and were any of you big fans of the original? I myself owned GTA a few weeks after it came out, and i was hooked ever since. Bought GTA London, the GTA2, and finally GTA3, where the game just came into it's own. And of coarse i will buy the soon to be, GTA VC...
Originally posted by Final Flash *hugs NeoCactuar for reserving a Copy*
Heh, I got in early. The first day it was available for reserve, I got it. That also means i don't get the October 29th delayed copy, like lots of other people will. But even with all the reservations in the world, the game could be a week early, or a week late, there is no guaranteed way to know. But reservation is at least peace of mind.
Originally posted by Break Lol, the Dodo sucked, it was completely uncontrollable.
Heh, you people just don't have the skill, lol. It only took me a few hours to learn to fly really good, then i just started doing tricks and stuff :p
Originally posted by James Controlled flight would be better. You'd be able to fly under bridges...skim the water...and come across so many close calls! ^_^
I don't know about you James, But i can do most of that already. I can do a loop de loop under the bridge, barrel rolls, water skiing, swan dives. All fun stunts to do in the Dodo. The thing that excites me, is leaning out the door of the helicopter and shooting people from 100 meters in the air (Already confirmed).
Originally posted by Break Yeah, and hopefully the plane can be a bit easier to fly this time. The Dodo was a hunk of crap. ;) I like the idea of like "fighting" the police while you're in the air, I think it will be such a cool game.
Yes, yes it was. But the question is, do you want it to be easy to fly? The Dodo provided so many hours of fun, becuase it was so hard to fly, if you could fly it really well, you felt proud, you acheived something. If it was easy to fly, it may not be the same. But then we have to look at controlled flight, and how much fun that would bring... Bleh.
Originally posted by BlueGender It is a rumor most likely fake it has been said many times by Rockstar to be un-true the list I gave in the post before this was a list of rumors. But you never know Rockstar is full of suprise and might include the car in game. They confimed the higly specualted shark rumor a while ago.
That rumour was only fabricated because there happens to be a Deloraine in GTA VC, Just as there is an A-Team Van. Does this mean we can turn into Mr-T and pity the fool? How about.... no. It's something for people to speculate over until October 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29 (Depending on Location, and/or pre-order). But it does mean one thing, this game is surely hyped. Lets just hope it can live up to all of our expectations. And with the screenshots so far, there is no reason to doubt it.
Originally posted by RicoTranzrig It would be cool if there were branching storylines where you could pick the group that you like working for and stick with them instead of having them try to blow up the car you're in. All the while the other gangs would become more hostile towards you or attempt to manipulate you into their group.
Just like in GTA2, man that would rule. In my opinion GTA2 had the best mission system and the coolest gangs, like the Zaibatsu, the best GTA gang created. It would be fun to be hated by some gangs, and loved by others, just like the old days. Instead of just getting blown to smithereens whenever you go driving through Saint Marks, no matter what you previously did. About Blue hell. One of the freakiest places to get it is in the middle of the stadium. Try flying the Dodo in there and landing. You will hit the ground and begin to spin uncontrollably picking up speed, until you suddenly appeared outside the stadium. And No, blue hell will not be making a second appearance in Vice city, as wit the inclusion of controllable flight; Full wing aircraft, Helicopter. Comes the need to eliminate the clipping previously seen in GTA III, which was the main reason for blue hell. This is because with the helicopter you will presumably be able to go basically anywhere, and land on any building. Hence a fully 3D completed city, no roofless buildings and so on. But of coarse, as is to be expected of any game, there may be a few minor glitches, maybe like blue hell, but nothing as wide spread as we have previously seen.

He's talking about GTA III "Patriot playground" or "Gripped". The secret to those mission is just to take your time, you don't need to worry about speed, just try not to flip your car. If you are really stuck check out 'www.GameFaqs.com'. Just go to the FAQs page, all the help you need. I knew he was talking about GTAIII, but you really need to put the name of the game in the topic when you are making it - SG
-
I must admit that would be cool. To be able to buy your own car, and fully customise it and stuff. But imagine if you crashed it, or flipped it! That would just be torment. Now, about the clothes. You can use a cheat to change them. Although all it does is makes you into another character. Like a Police officer or something. The cheat is - Right, Down, Left, Up, L1, L2, Up, Left, Down, Right. Just do it as many times as you need to, until you find the character you desire.
-
Well blue gender, i think you have basically covered everything i wanted to talk about, lol. But if any of you do want to get some good screen shots, or official information, go to... http://www.gta-vc.com You can find there the new screen shots, and the conformation list that Blue Gender posted. But finally, Otaku has expanded to the Relm of GTA. Let us all bask in Rockstar & DMA's glory.
Originally posted by gokents camera angles on resident evil.
Dude... the camera angles are what make Resident Evil scary. You cannot have that same atmosphere without the angles. -
It ends right after *HUGE SPOILER* happens. Then as soon as you get the highwind, you can begin to breed Chocobos.

Challenge, Final Fantasy VIII -- Those two word shouldn't ever be in the same sentance. FFVIII was really easy to build levels. All you need is 1000 Exp. It never changes. Now don't think i hate FFVIII I have played that game through and through. But there are some major flaws in the Junction, Draw & Refine set up that make it very easy.
He is the 4th and last survivor from Resident Evil 2, after Leon, Claire, and Shelly. He wears a gas mask, and is pretty cool.
Hunk Shmunk! Tofu was the best character!!!! He was a block of tofu, and he could only use knifes. No guns or any of that whimpy stuff. He was the last survivor, get it right...

Use the pray spell, or whatever it is called. It's been a while since i played it.

Hey! I'm not a Tidus Fanboy!! Cloud & Seph will allways be top of my list. It's just that Tidus is eye candy... ...ahhh.... i mean the graphics that make Tidus are eye candy, not Tidus himself.... ...*Heavily sweating*

What about Ultima, Holy, Bio, Tornado, Flare and many other greats..? Flash... you still won't convince me that FFI - FFVI is as good as, or better than FFVII - FFX.

Tsk tsk.... Raiden was a good character, but not only that... a great idea. Hideo Kijoma (Spll?) put you in control of raiden for the majority of the game becuase it gives you a chance to look at snake, it developes snakes character even more. The whole reason Raiden is there is to see snake from a second person perspective. When you play as Raiden you are like a complete n00b. But then you meet up with snake, and he is this highly trained killing machine. You get to see how awesome snake really is.

Nope, she's a boss. None of that works. I suugest you have lots of remedies and holy potions. Give ONE person auto-potion. And make one of the others heal that person, while the auto-potion one, and the other attack. I use Yuna, Wakka and Auron.

Two words neil, two words... Final Fantasy
-
No, you don't. 1. You junction it to status attack. ...and... 2. it works just as good not on status attack. But what you want to do is make sure you have 100. Because the number you have, is the chance of it working. Like if you hade 65, then it would have a 65% chance of working.

OCC: Oh and Desbreko, Flash is going camping for two days, so don't wait for him to post this time. --------------------------------- As Flash and Drake trudge along the path to Azure springs the sun slowly emerges from behind the mountain range of Krysst. The rays of light beam over the shoulders of Drake and Flash like gleaming tiger stripes... Flash:Well, the suns up... Just as the words leave Flash's mouth, there is a rustling in a nearby bush. Drake diverts his attention to it, and slowly walks over to it. He reaches out to pull a branch aside, when suddenly two chimera's leap out of the bush, and nock drake down. Drake: And the monsters are up too!! Flash leaps forward and assumes his battle position next to drake. Drake:Chimera eh... Flash! Try a lightning spell! Flash: Lem'me handle it... Flash raises his staff high in the air, and it begins to glow with a yellow aurora. Flash whispers an incarnation, as the clouds cloud over the blue, now turning black, sky. He then brings the staff down with a sharp "Crack!" As a bolt of lightning shoots down from the sky and hits the chimera. The chimera falls onto it's hind legs, and shudders... it then stands up again, and shakes it's head violently... Drake: It doesn't seem to have done anything... Flash: Oh, oh... A magic resistant enemy... --------------------------------------- Cid has already passed Krysst, and is now on the road to Azure springs. Wandering, looking for adventure, on his way to visit some old friends in Glórethroth... Cid is walking at a steady pace, as he comes to a bridge over a small, crystal clear, stream. As cid begins to cross the bridge, a site on the other side catches his eye. Two men, one wearing white robes with red hemming, appearing to be a white mage. And the other in blue robes and a straw or leather hat, appearing to be a black mage. Cid: Hmm.. what are a couple of mages doing out here... Don't see that every day... Cid continues to walk along the bridge, but stops again, when he hears a cry for help. He looks over at the mages again, and this time sees a monster in front of them... Cid: Wait a second!! That's a Chimera!! They need some help!! Cid breaks into a run, as he heads towards the struggling mages -------------------------------- Drake: Hey Flash, you better do something quick. I can't keep healing us forever. Flash: I'm working on it!! Flash reaches behind his robes, and draws an elven dagger made of pure silver from it's sheath. He lines up the chimera, and is just about to strike when he hears rushing footsteps behind him. He turns his head, just in time to catch a blur of silver leap into the air, and over his head. Flash turns back, and watches the blur come down on top of the chimera. Flash sees a Wooden Lance swing, and hit the chimera on its head with tremendous power, smashing it into the ground and killing it instantly. As the dust clears, Flash can make out a man a man, possibly in his early thirties, wearing a breastplate with a dragon carved into the front of it. Flash: A dragoon..? Drake: What, in these parts... The Dragoon jumps off the Chimera with a flip, and lands skilfully in front of Drake and Flash Cid: Names Cid... Flash: ...Flash Drake: ...Drake Cid: Nice to meet you Flash: Thanks for helping us back there Cid: No problem, you guys could use the help of someone with physical skills... Drake: Yeah, but were travelling lots, so it's hard to find company Cid: Were are you going..? Flash: Glórethroth... Cid: Well.. i happen to be visiting some old friends in Glórethroth Drake: Well, that settles it then... Flash: I think he means... Welcome aboard...

Gah, he climbs out of the crater, but he doesn't fly away. Only Ultima flies away. THEN the rest of them fly off. As i see this argument is not going to end, i suggest we do so now...

You draw it from the plant monsters in the training center. Your about 100th of the way through the game ;)
