I'm reading [u]The Secret Life of Bees[/u] because it's on my summer reading list. I think it's a really good book, but it sort of makes me feel like slapping myself in the face for being white, as do most stories that take place during the Civil Rights Movement. It says on the back of the book that "This is a remarkable novel about divine female power...", but I don't think I see that. Most of the main cast is female, but I don't think that makes the book about "divine female power", so...

UGH. I'm finally back from babysitting the neighbor's kid. She's one of the best behaved kids I've ever met, so that was nice. But the thing that wasn't nice was how late the family was in getting back home. The job was originally going to last from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., but it ended up being an hour and a half longer. At 9:30, the parents called to say that the 19 year old daughter would be home later than expected. One hour later. An hour later, they called again to say the daughter would be even later. At 11 p.m., the parents arrived home, the daughter still not there. I went on my merry way, but YEESH. 6:30 to 9:30 ended up being 6:30 to 11:00!

I'm going to some ceremony thing today at a park, sooo... I'm wearing a black and white sundress and my awesome purple-ish scarf-thing!

Holy shazbot. I've discovered a deep infatuation for a blessing of a show called Phineas and Ferb. Just...WOW...

Infernape: I hate Infernapes. I hate them to the fiery pits of Satan's stomach. But Athena is the highest level fighting type I have, sooo... I'm pitting her against that tank of a Snorlax. Jigglypuff: She's the second highest level team member I have. With several elemental punches, she has a wide range for battle. I'm hoping her Thunder Punch will take out Lapras if Runa, my Raichu, faints. I prefer to battle with my favorites, so this is it. (Minus Infernape.) I got my Swampert from my Pokemon Emerald game and transferred him into my HG game.

I have always beat every gym leader on the first try except for Claire. I slaughtered all of the Kanto gym leaders easily as well, mostly due to two things. One: My Charizard, Valor. Two: My Raichu, Runa. These two have so far easily overpowered everything any trainer or gym leader has ever thrown at me. People don't mind if they don't like the books, but when a bajillion fangirls are jumping at you from around every corner, you start to hate it. In Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus' case, I never liked her. She seemed so fake in having an alter-ego. I hate to drag out this Disney crap, but: Be yourself. She wasn't. I happened to not like that. Now, I was content to avoid her, but then the Hannah Montana fever swept through and all anyone was capable of talking about was [i]her[/i]! I turned on the radio to hear some good music and all I could hear were her bubbly little pop songs as Hannah Montana. When she [i]also[/i] started singing as Miley Cyrus, it doubled the amount of crap. People now talked about her [i]and[/i] her alter ego! I now had to avoid her bubbly pop music [i]and[/i] the irritating country music! Now, I'll admit some of her songs are okay, but her voice makes me uncomfortable. When it gets to be that people start raising her up on a pedastal and you're not one of the people doing so, all you can do is hope that she falls off sometime soon. When the Vanity Fair incident came out, I was hoping that the fever would be wiped out for the most part. But that only seemed to increase people's intensity in liking her! Every girl on my bus the next day was stopping everyone to tell them about how Hannah/Miley was innocent and the Vanity Fair people were evil and they still loved her. I don't need that crap first thing in the morning. That makes me hate Hanna/Miley.
