This concept makes no sense.
Sorry, maybe I was vague... I meant that I'm not looking for "that special someone" or whatever it's called. I don't have to be in love with the person to date them, right? It could just be a crush, right? Or do I have that wrong?
This was pretty much my philosophy throughout high school. I never saw the point in relationships because I was not interested in intimate acts like kissing or greater, and because I felt it was impossible to find the one person you could be with forever when you're only 15, 16, 17 years old. Then all that changed pretty quickly when I actually fell in love with someone. I'm back to not caring about relationships, though. For one thing, I haven't even made a single new friend this year, so there's no real eligible girlfriend candidate. And I'm not about to get involved with someone I've already known; partially because I don't feel *that way* about any of my current friends and partially because I've already done it and pretty much ruined the greatest thing I've ever had in my life. (I've had a fairly dull, uneventful life). Anyway, I wish people could share my point of view. I get so tired of hearing people wishing they had a significant other, or being so desperate for intimacy they try the first person who shows any interest. It makes no sense to me, because I only really care about such things when there is actually one specific person I'm in love with. tl;dr, I feel wordy and thoughtful right now.
Except I'm not looking for love right now. I'm looking for someone to date. I'd be a fool if I thought I could find "THE ONE OMG" at age 15-18. I have no interest in finding a soulmate right now, as I'm just too busy and will be for the next 3 years or so. I'm just looking for at least one relationship so that I'm not completely akward by the time I'm ready to seriously date (which will be a while). I tripped on about 3 pairs of shoes in a row just now. I think it's time for me to clean my room...:animedepr

Name: Burton Alexander Age: 17 Gender: Male Race: Human Appearance: Messy black hair. Big silver eyes. Wears clunky red goggles that usually stay on the top of his head. Very pale skin. Long, gangly limbs. Tall and skinny. Small nose and mouth. Is often seen in a grease-stained T-shirt with a flowy, over-sized, short sleeved button-up shirt that is never actually buttoned. Also favors dirty faded blue jeans and grubby sneakers. Is often coated with various greases and whatnot from working on machines. Height: 5'9" Weight: 127 pounds Prosthetics: Has one prosthetic arm- the left one. (He is left-handed.) It starts at his shoulder. Specialty Component: Has different mechanical tools built into his arm and fingers for easy use and access when working. Former Occupation: Specialty Government Mechanic Known Data: Burt is a boy mechanical genius. The government hired him at age 7. Though he claims to have no knowledge of mechanics, he has bursts of genius when working with machines. Both parents dead; killed in a bridge mishap. The bridge collapsed as its weight limits were exceeded and the bridge was really ancient. Burt managed to escape with his life, though he lost his left arm. A family friend in the prosthetic business helped him out. Burt's actually pretty lazy. When the androids revolted, he fled as well. Why? Well, he was afraid the government would want him to rebuild the androids, and he just basically didn't want to. So he decided to find the androids and assist them in any way he could. Goes gaga for machines and scraps, etc. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Military File: EKO-919-013579 'Echo Niabi' Gender: Female Age: 57 Classification: Prototype Model Height: 5' 7" Weight: 220.7 lbs. Specialty Components: Lightweight Frame Nanotek Synthesizer Levitation Genodes Specialty Class 4 Synthetic Plastique Muscle Tissues High Speed Reactor E Model Arm Mounted Laser Gun Sniper Class Optics Distortion Generators/Absorbers Specialty Synthetic L5 Class Radiator System Original Usage: Decimation of Enemy Troops Android Status: STOLEN Known History: This prototype is one in a complex line of experiments that eventually ended in the completion of the first perfect ZX Type. While EKO-919-013579 is in fact not a ZX, she was one of the more successful beginnings of them. EKO-919-013579 was well-known for her ability to easily snipe any enemy troops from right out of the air. If needed, she could fight in just about any environment and do so quite well. While this prototype was indeed thought to be perfect at first, severe dangers soon became apparent. For example, EKO-919-013579 was programmed to be content with whatever assignment she was given, resulting in a very intimidating joyous nature around the battlefield. But the program put too much pressure on the android and control was lost. After slaughtering her superior, 'Echo' was captured and deconstructed. Her parts remained untouched until just recently, about the same time a Government Android Mechanic known as Burton Alexander disappeared. It is suspected that the two may be on the run together after B. Alexander reconstructed the emotionally unstable prototype. Appearance: Round face, large, purple eyes with long lashes. 4' long, very wavy pink hair kept in pigtails on either side of her head. No bangs. Curvy figure with long legs. Terra cotta colored skin. Was last known to be wearing prototype uniform suit, but has been rumored to be using Nanotek Synthesizer technology to change clothes in order to better evade re-capture. Personality Side Notes: Because of the strain 'Echo' was exposed to in her past, she is very unstable and dangerous. Extreme mood swings may occur as well as violent outbursts. May smile when she truly feels nothing even near happiness if only because of her programming. Nobod truly knows what may be going on in her head. She joined Burt by mistake, but continues to stay with him in hopes he can figure out how to "repair and/or reverse the major malfunction". The mistake which brought the android and mechanic together was a simple one. Burt, during his escape of the government, stopped at a warehouse to pick up some special parts in case he needed them. Thinking that the parts were in a certain crate, he stumbled upon 'Echo's' parts. He had her put together within minutes and she demanded that she be allowed to join him. Burt was able to use parts from the warehouse in order to update the prototype so that she could move quicker and have more recent parts. Please do not hesitate to tell me if anything should be modified in any way.
Hey, stuff happens. Lack of sleep don't help none. Which supports my argument that we need nap rooms in school. We used to get naps in kindergarten, so what the hell people.
THANK YOU.:) I agree! Why did we get naps in KINDERGARTEN when almost no one would be able to calm down enough to go to sleep?! :animestun Just really bugged by some stuff that came up in a conversation with a friend. You see, I am starting to make a variety of friends at school. By doing this, I am learning to accept people and I am SLOWLY learning to trust other human beings again. I think I'm finally ready to open up once more. But it's very hard trying to get into a relationship when you're a lesbian in a fairly conservative high school. I just feel like I have so much love and affection to give with no one to direct it toward. It gets to be terribly frustrating and I'm just so tired of that frustration. And then my mood changes when I think about it, okay?

SUPER DUPER FRUSTRATED WITH A BEAR TRAP ON TOP RIGHT NOW. I wish the week would just end already so I could sleep in...:animesigh
Many apologies, o lord of fluffy darkness.
Can I quote you? :) Had to do a presentation this morning in addition to getting only 2 hours of sleep. Fed off of the rush I get when speaking to crowds ( I love that feeling!) in order to complete an enthusiastic, zanny presentation without falling asleep. But really. 2 hours of sleep doesn't cut it. I'm taking a nap now.
But I hate being rained on.
I think we all know that. Kitties don't like water. But, for some reason, I just can't see you not liking the rain... 3:23 a.m. and I am finally done with my Winston Churchill report. He's one of my new favorite people. I wish I could have met him. But I also wish to get some sleep, so...

Had to run the mile in gym class. If the girls didn't make it within 11 minutes, they had to do it again. For the guys, it was 10. I ran the mile in time. Then I promptly had an asthma attack that almost made me miss the math test. Of course, due to my incredible stubborness, I dragged myself to take the test even though the nurses had told me I should rest. I wasn't up until 3 a.m. to have my hard work and Toph Aces wasted, dammit!:animeangr
Someone call? *looks up* Oh.
Because of this, I just spent the last half hour taping drawings of Toph to all the Ace cards in my deck. Instead of studying the cards. Thanks.:p

I have a math test on probability tomorrow. This is not a problem, as probability is easy. The problem is that my teacher's favorite problems for probability involve an ordinary deck of playing cards. I find this very confusing as I rarely ever use playing cards. For my homework the past few days, I've actually had to take out a deck of playing cards to complete it. But my teacher won't let me use my deck of cards during the test. I have one night to memorize all the cards in a 52 card playing deck. Fffffffffffffffffffff.......:(

I cried. Jerk. But no worries, I still wuvs you!:catgirl: This reminds me, I'm actually almost done with the drawing of him, though I keep messing up with the hands... But don't worry, because I'm getting lots of advice from my art teacher!
I have a longstanding grudge against this sort of topic, and it stems mostly from the term used to define it. Essentially, it irritates me to no small degree that the verb "drink" automatically assumes alcoholic content. I blame Ireland. What bothers me much more, though, is the added implication that consuming alcohol means being intoxicated; or, "drinking" means you get drunk. There is no such mandate. Nor is alcohol in and of itself something evil or immoral. It is an inanimate beverage, just like tea or soda.
I am sorry to say that I am one of the people that make that kind of assumption. It bothers me that I do, but that is my mental image when those phrases pop up.:(
Drinking is all about choices, if you ask me. My choice is to drink. Not everyday. Not even every four or five days. But I do. Does that make me a bad/lesser person?
Your choices seem to be very responsible, so why would anyone say that you're a bad/lesser person for drinking?
