Even though this is getting really off-topic.... No, the fun part is trying to visualise time from both a past and future perspective. The closest I've come was a sphere of infinite surface area but finite volume. Try that for a head-trip.
[/HATE] Now for something on subject: I should probably tell myself not to mutilate my fingers so much just because I can't feel it for some reason. Yeah, it started with snipping a bit of my index finger in Pre-K, and then around my 5 years ago age, I sliced 'em with the thin, sharp lid of a dog food can. But that one was on accident.
Nah. I'm not talking about if you touched yourself and the resulting paradox imploded existence. I'm talking about the information transferral itself. Like, take the Terminator series. The reason it works with the time travel stuff is because the future isn't actually changing at all, merely ensuring John Connor's survival; John sent his friend through to meet his mother, and then John was concieved as a result. If Connor hadn't sent his friend through, he wouldn't have been born, so in that respect the time travel was necessary. But five years ago no one showed up and told you what to do with your life, so if you went back and said something to yourself, left yourself a note, or even if you sent someone else in your place to avoid the whole destroy-all-life stuff that might happen, the information itself would alter your behavior patterns, which would then affect your decisions, which would then alter the chain of events that led to you travelling backwards and telling yourself stuff since it would no longer be guaranteed that you sent yourself the identical information, which would then reset the chain, and so the infinite loop is born. Fun to visualise.
*foams at the mouth* Why do you do this to my head~?! (And still posting out of nowhere...creeper.)
The tricky thing about this situation is that you have to be careful how to balance good advice with knowledge that'll irrevocably change your experiences and therefore your personality, rendering your mission of warning/insight nonexistent. You end up getting stuck in an infinite loop. Causality is fun!
But I thought the creator of this thread said that there would be no such risk... Did I misread?

Today I took my first couple of steps out of the closet. I have never felt so liberated in my entire life.:catgirl: I plan on telling my best friend tomorrow. I don't think I'll ever be able to tell my parents, but at this point I don't care. I'm too happy to care!
What happened to your kitchen sink?
I have no idea. I just know that when it's broken, I have to do more work than is necessary. I do not like work. But I do like green eggs and ham. Also, go to cleverbot.com! It's really fun to talk to an AI...

Maya began following Archie and the others. Then, she turned and saw Zlota standing by Heat. She scurried toward the two of them. Heat noticed Maya and quickly moved away from her, wanting to keep his distance from the humans for now. Maya took almost no notice of this, but instead kept moving toward Zlota. "Zlota! How come you're way back here?" Maya asked. Zlota glanced down at Maya, then quickly hurried away as Heat did. "...What's going on here?" Maya wondered aloud, her stomach churning unhappily.

Ever read a book that made you just sit in silence for a few minutes without really thinking about much? I enjoy books like that...:animesmil Every pair of headphones I get my hands on seem to decide they only want to send sound into ONE of the earpieces. And very quietly, at that!:animedepr

My stomach is trying to kill me right now, so I was wondering if anyone knows some good home remedies for the stomach flu. I've been downing Sprite for a few hours now, but that doesn't seem to be helping. I'm going to hope that this goes away overnight so it doesn't ruin my weekend, but my stomach feels pretty bad... Also, what are the worst sicknesses you've ever had? Not broken bones or anything, but things like the flu or something.

Yesterday I walked into math and found out we were taking a test I didn't know about. I aced it anyway. And I suck at math. Also, there's a jerk in my english class that sits next to me and my best friend. We'll be having a quiet, simple, happy conversation before class and he'll crane his head toward us and make some rude, douchey, uncalled for comment that came from up his a**. He does this almost constantly and it's always out of NOWHERE. I could understand it if my friend and I were being too loud or bothersome in some way, but he just goes out of his way to try and listen in on the conversation and then make a snarky comment about it. I don't even know his name, but I've already developed a seething hatred for his entire being. I had to physically restrain myself today to keep from punching him into next week. But if he tries this again, I don't think I can hold back.

How old was I? Almost 10. What was your daily life like? School. Lots of school. I was in 4th grade. Warning or encouragement? Both. I would tell myself not to blow off my work in 5th grade and almost get myself flunked. As for encouragement, I would tell myself that I will be moving the next summer and not to worry because I will meet a lovely girl named Kayley that will become my bestest friend ever. Would it be about your life then or now? Both, as you can see. Would your younger self take you seriously? Maybe not at first. But I would show them a certain oddball birthmark and all would be accepted. I would also bring up the most terrible thing I have ever done.

Maya looked down at her feet. "Yeah... I guess it's just weird, y'know? I just never imagined Mr. Archimedes could get so angry over anything!" "People are people, Maya. There's not one of us that doesn't experience emotions like anger. Especially anger, actually," Ishild replied. "Besides, what Duo did was very dangerous...to ALL of us!" "I will agree that what she did was not strategically safe... But still...seeing Mr. Archimedes blow up like that was scary. I felt really uncomfortable...," Maya mumbled. "Maya sad?" Heat asked. "Not really, heat. Mostly worried." "Maya regret coming?" "No! I knew it was going to be dangerous. I came out of my own free will. I'm more worried about what's going to happen to everyone emotionally. But, I suppose that's what comes with the journey."

I think I ran into my door a little too hard... My nose is pouring blood right about now... I think half of it is because of my running into the side of the door with such force, the other reason being that I was fantasizing about Johnny Depp at the same time. Actually, that's the reason why I didn't notice the door in front of my face...:animeswea Which reminds me... Am I the only one who attracts injuries like a magnet attracts nails?
