Danali throws her dagger at one of the orcs, stabbing it in the neck. She concentrates on dodging attacks until it dies, when she runs up and takes up her dagger once again. "I need a better weapon..." Pavirn uses a large blast of water on the forest ogre from the back, making it fall down. She pounces on it and starts clawing at the beast and ripping at it with her beak wildly....

Danali nods, rubbing the general area around her knee--where she had been hit. She absentmindedly ran her other hand up and down the dagger's handle, marveling at how easily the blade had come clean when Pavirn had used a jet of water on it.

Danali and Pavirn arrive back from a flight, the gryphin landing a few feet from the fire. "We didn't find anything near the camp." Dnali announces to the other riders. She jumps off of Pavirn, staggering slightly the first step and muttering something about stupid trolls.

Danali suddenly hears a bellow of pain, coming from down on the ground (obviously...). Before she could alert Pavirn, the gryphin was already swooping downward at a fast pace. Once they passed the trees that was keeping them from seeing what it was in the first place, Danali's jaw dropped at the sight of the trolls. She hadn't seen any of them in her life. Pavirn screeched loudly in what Danali thought was probably a war cry, finally landing on the ground. The gryphin's rider tried pulling out her dagger, fumbling with it for what felt like a long time before finally grasping it. Not knowing what else to do and not really thinking all that clearly, she threw it with all her might at the nearest troll, striking it in the arm and making it cry out in pain. When the thing started to run toward Danali in anger, Pavirn stepped in and pounced on it....

OOC: Oh...I didn't see that.:D BIC: Pavirn makes sure that there is enough space for her to spread her wings, then does so, Danali watching Neogeo do the same. Pavirn crouches down as if stalking prey, moving her wings into correct positioning for flight. She makes a high leap with her powerful legs, beating her wings, once, twice, gaining altitude all the while. Once she is above the tallest of the trees, her flapping becomes more leisurely, flapping her wings in an attempt to hover, but rising a few feet each time anyway. Finally, they both see Neogeo rocket out of the greenery and into the sky with a shrill screech. Pavirn changes the position of her wings slightly and beats them faster, letting her follow Neogeo as Danali quickly graps hold of some of her fur collar to keep her balance.

Danali stays silent, listening intently. Pavirn follows this example, but not as readily. She wanted to go out NOW....Danali leaned over so that she was closer to the gryphin's ear. "We need to wait now. Just a little longer..." She whispered. The gryphin gave her an impatient snort, but loosened up a bit.

Pavirn trotted up to the front. "I Danali and Pavirn pledge ourselves to the people!" Danali was not speaking particularly loudly, but her voice was crystal clear. Pavirn backed away to let the others walk up.

Danali felt a surge of excitement as she heard the words "mount up." She walked back over to Pavirn, face emotionless, but excited nonetheless. Pavirn lay down flat, and Danali made a jump, swinging her leg over (that's how large Pavirn is...) with considerable ease. Pavirn got back up quickly, large tail swishing idly and wings at the ready. "Okay. I'm ready. Now, [B]where[/B] are we going?" Danali asked.

Danali sighed lightly, walking over to a large fallen tree branch and cutting a section off completely with her dagger. She continued to chip small peices off, the shavings slowly fluttering in a downward spiral to the ground.

Danali finally woke from her thoughts. She stood up, brushing herself off and pushing her hair away from her face.

Danali sits cross-legged, by the fire, leaning against Pavirn, who had lay down. Pavirn, having the body of a lion, purrs softly as Danali strokes her head idly, looking into the sky. Her brown eyes are slightly glazed, hair whipped around by the wind, not noticing anyone's presence.....deep in thought...

Danali sits near the fire, thinking about how nice it is to be near such warmth....and human company. Since she did not like to kill, she had simply avoided human contact since the day that Pavirn and her had sensed evil, the day they had set out to see what it was.... Suddenly Danali saw a glimpse of aqua in the sky and a screeching sound in the sky. Pavirn! The gryphin landed, no sign of Mist following her. To add to this, as soon as Danali looked into emerald green eyes, she could tell something was wrong. "No sign?" She asked briefly, but not casually. Pavirn hung her head sadly. "Not a thing. A dragon usually isn't very hard to find! I flew in a circle around camp....if Mist was there, I would have seen her....she's not even close." Danali turned to Cara, a frown on her face...

Danali looked up into the sky, as if thinking she was going to see Wind in flight. When she didn't, she quickly fixed the way she had jammed her dagger into her boot, then stood upright again. "Pavirn, do a search of the area. Notify us if you see Mist." Danali said softly. Pavirn bowed her head to Danali and Cara. "Do not worry--if Mist is here, I will know." She told Cara in an equally soft voice. With this, Pavirn spread her light sapphire wings, picking up an air thermal to take off, and swiftly heading north to patrol the area.

"They are coming closer." Pavirn suddenly whispers. "There is a gryphin...a few people...an animal with pads on it's feet, probably the wolf...and a dragon..." Dalani sighs deeply. "Be ready to fight if you must, Pavirn." Her hand hovers over the dagger in her boot.

As Dalani and Pavirn walk, they are careful to make the least noise possible. Dalani's brown eyes were still wide, and she glanced around alertly. Suddenly, Pavirn came to a halt. "What is it?" Dalani whispered. Pavirn dropped down lower, her immense lion paws amazingly soundless. "I hear something. Hooves..." Dalani stays quiet. She wasn't going to waste a sound asking Pavirn how--she already knew that gryphins had [I]much[/I] better hearing than humans. She followed Pavirn's example, lowering herself down next to her, but continuing to walk.

A figure walks through the forest quickly, an emerald green cloak billowing out in the back. Tendrils of medium bown hair are visible at times, flying out as the air whips it around. Suddenly, there is a rustling of wings, and the figure quickly ducks around a nearby tree. As the gryphin to which the wings belong lands, it speaks softly. "Dalani. It is only me." Dalani's eyes widen from under the cloak, and she steps out from under her cover. "Pavirn!!" She breathes, walking up to the gryphin with a real smile, Pavirn closing her eyes in happiness. Suddenly, she was serious. "I have found someone." Dalani's eyes widen slightly. "Who?" She asks warily. "Three or four people, I wasn't going to fly close enough to find out. There was also another gryphin, a large fox or wolf, and some kind of bird. They are not far from here." Dalani furrows her brow, frowning in thought. "We will go there. On foot. Flying is too risky." She looked like she was not going to back down from this decision, but she looked at her gryphin, asking her what she thought of this. "I suppose we should. I would never let you go alone, anyway." Pavirn sighed, and Dalani nodded, gesturing for the gryphin to lead the way. In a matter of moments, they were headed toward the campsite........

I'd like to join if the RP's not--um--full!:D Name: Danali (Dah-nah-lee :D) What Animal your Riding: Gryphin Animal's Type: Water Animal's Name: Pavirn (Both of them are weird, I know. :blush: ) Descriptions for both: Danali: Shoulder length brown hair, medium brown eyes, plain clothes...the only thing of value she has is a dagger with jewel filled handle and a necklace that she always keeps in the safest place--around her neck. Pavirn: Huge wings, folded onto her back when not in use, aquamarine fur and light sapphire feathers. She has a large fur collar around her neck and lively green eyes. Oh yeah, and if I AM allowed--I'M READY!:D
