  1. After several minutes of research I have come to the conclusion the lack of Bruce Faulconer's epic music makes DBZ Kai far less epic than the original.

Apparently Toei produced new music for the Japanese version of Kai and FUNi decided to go with that over Faulconer's stuff. If I recall correctly there was also supposed to have been something of a spat between FUNi and Faulconer which may have also contributed. Shame really, DBZ was one of the few animes whose localisation I much prefer to the original.

Aww, they don't use his music? When I watched the original DBZ in Japanese way after hearing Bruce's music, it sounded like old 70's kung-fu music. Buu's music was fantastically twisted, thanks to Faulconer.

DBZ: Kai in general is less epic than the original in all categories. The only thing it has a leg up on is the dialogue.
