1. I prefer to use "heh" myself or smileys to show I'm amused by something, as most people who I IM with know. ^_^
  2. I really can't agree enough with what Tomb has posted above me. The whole "secret" of the Uchiha clan has turned them from one of the most interesting to one of the lamest in literally a chapter. We've seen the eye-stealing thing, and it didn't work, also, Itachi has just lost the one aspect of himself that made him unkillable: his reasons for killing the clan and leaving Sasuke alive. As much as I liked him as a character, I'm not going to be bothered if he dies now. On a side note, it was fun to get a little more Konoha history, hopefully we might get a little more.
  3.
If you want to be a berserker killing Premonition for being stupid, ask me and I can write it in the most sensually graphically violent detail.
So, so tempting... I'll leave this one to someone else though. My choice D, is a sword fight between myself and Mike [Zen], Japanese Edo-period setting, no set victor. Make it as bloody as suits you, I just really want to see what you could do with the fight.
  4. Seeing as it's the weekend (thank God), I should be able to make a post in the next while. Daedalus will hopefully be out of bed, or at least awake by the end of it.
  5. Thank God I have such a devoted, loving wife, Lord knows, I'd probably manage to barbecue myself without you around D.
  6.
To even go so far to say "nothing else about Heath Ledger is relevent or consequential" is basically saying that because he played a homosexual character in one film, that's enough to damn him for all eternity despite the entire rest of his life around that. It's quite sickening.
Quoted for truth. For any group to come out and say such horrific things when his parents haven't even had a chance to bury their son, it just sickens me. These people don't even know the meaning of the word Christian.
  7. Just heard it on the news this morning, sadly ironic that I happened to watch A Knight's Tale only last night. He was a great actor, it's a real shame that this has happened.
  8.
Feel free to explore Daedalus's experiences during the Mine War through a flashback, or even write a Chronicle about it. Brigit Town has not yet been properly incorporated into the game, so it's about time for that. ;D
Alright, I think I might have it as a sort of flashback or hallucination while Daedalus is unconscious. Seeing as Rueben was killed in the Mine Wars, and Daedalus was so nearly killed saving his son (sorry Crys, I couldn't resist), it'll probably revolve around Daedalus, Leonhart and Rueben and the battle in which their father was killed.
  9.
And since I wasn't sure if Daedalus is suppose to recover or not, I only indicated that he was responding well. Fonty on the other hand is not allowed to die. :p
Oh thanks Beth, I feel so valued. :p Daedalus isn't going to croak for a while yet, if at all. He's lived through worse conditions in the Mine Wars, something I'd like to explore with Josh and Sandy's permission. Also his condition/disease is likely fatal, but the drug being administered to him by his potionist wife is helping to keep it at bay. It probably will get worse in the future due to his injury, but it's still a while away yet from actually killing him.
  10.
Dude, that was Men in Black. Get a clue. :animesmil
Go watch Casino Royale. M's real name apparently begins with the same letter.
  11.
Well one time I tore my room apart to find my sunglasses. ....and they were on my head the whole time.
I've done that a few times looking for my regular glasses, and seeing as I'm blind as a bat without them it makes the search seem even more irritating. I guess that's one of the better things about wearing contact lenses. For anyone else who wears contacts and glasses on and off, have you ever gone to push up your glasses subconsciously while wearing the lenses ? I seem to do that a lot. Heh. :animeswea
  12. OK, so the Underdog's bomb has been diffused, though unfortunately Daedalus has been left badly injured and unconscious after the blast. I know I said that the gunpowder was enough the kill everyone in the room, and only appeared to disable the flares that would set off the gunpowder. However what actually went off was a smaller explosive designed to go off in the event that the bomb was disabled, aiming to kill the person who did so. This is what hit Daedalus, so I just thought I'd clear that up. James, Crystia or D'Ann, feel free to get Daedalus taken to the medical centre.

    The Almagest Legacy

All the breath exited Daedalus' lungs in a single gust as he felt the impact against his lower back. Thankfully his hands were a few inches away from the bomb, ready to being disabling it's electrical and chemical components, rather than actually inside. If they were, he was quite certain they would all now be dead. Inhaling slowly, he turned to see the source of the blow and locked eyes with his youngest child. "Oh gods... Harrison what're you doing here ?" He'd wanted to shout at the boy, smack him across the head with his hand for his stupidity. But all his managed was one short, fearful question. The fool ! Daedalus had wanted them all out of Rosengard for their own protection, even Macey and Jack staying hadn't be planned, and now Harrison ! Silently he cursed himself, if his survived this, Harriet was going to kill him. Harrison hadn't moved, his gaze fixed on the strange explosive device his father and Macey were working to diffuse. He's never seen, or even heard of anything like it. The metallic tang of the blood on the floor caused his face to pale slightly, drawing an even great look of concern from his already worried father. "I... I'm here to help you father !!" The old man was surprised his son's courage, although not entirely grateful in this case. Daedalus supposed he should have expected it, if the old man was willing to sacrifice his own life to try and disable the explosive, then why should he son by any different ? He half wished Dwalish had been at the wake, even though his eldest son was considerably more morose than Harrison, he cared for his little brother deeply, although that probably would have meant Daedalus would have had both his sons in the cellar as opposed to neither of them. He turned his attention to Jack, who'd been watching wordlessly. "Jack." "Yeah Daedalus ?" "If I give the word... take Harrison and Macey, and get out of the house as fast as you can." He heard a multitude of objections from his kin, but silenced them with a raised hand, continuing to stare at Jack expectantly. "Alright, you've got my word." "Thanks... And Jack ?" "Yeah ?" "Sorry about that shot earlier." "Yeah." Pulling a strange looking helmet from inside his kit bag, Daedalus placed it over his face and began to tighten the straps to secure it against his head. Coupled with the protective gear he'd donned, Harrison thought it gave his father and entirely mechanical appearance, as it covered over his face entirely. Flicking a switch on the side, a single luminous beam of white light struck out from the forehead of the helmet, giving the strangely organic bomb a new ethereal glow. "OK, I'm going to start by draining some of the external chemical liquids. I'm hoping that they're intended to magnify the extent of the explosion. After that, I'm going to start with the electronics." "Be careful Uncle, there may be some more biological components the closer you get to the core." Macey's voice was full of concern, he didn't want to worry her, but he reflected, he needed her expertise. "If I see something I'm not sure how to deal with, I'll leave it to you." Removing a large syringe from within the kit, his positioned his hands nearest to the closest of the glass chemical cylinders. Before aiming the type at a the small rubber tubing which would feed the liquid within into the bomb. Holding his breath, he pricked through the material and began to wind back the syringe. Daedalus watched with some relief as a dark purple liquid began to fill into the syringe. Immediately his mind worked to identify the chemical compound, it's purple colour already gave him so idea, and removing a small clear liquid filled tube from a case in his kit, he emptied the contents into the now open syringe capsule. With a sigh of relief, he watched as the colour change as the new compound became inert. "One down. Five to go." Several minutes later, Daedalus lay the last of the inert capsules down into the case and returned it to the kit. He estimated he'd managed to limit the size of the explosion to the point where it would no longer leave Rosengard a pile of rubble, though it would still kill everyone in the wine cellar if it went off. "I'm going for the core. Macey, I need you now." He didn't even move his head as she drew over to him and bent over the bomb. He'd removed two additional trip wires and most of the bomb's outer-coating, leaving it accessible from multiple sides. His niece had already removed a rather wicked looking curved blade and a set of forceps from his equipment pack and was kneeling next to him. As she glanced over his work, a small smile came to her porcelain features. "We're very close." With surgical precision she removed a layer of outer membrane from the core, he marvelled at her skill with the biological, it rivalled that of his late mother. Increasing his own magnification by rotating an addition glass lens in front of the visor of the helmet, he examined the newly exposed centre of the bomb. Unlike the rest of the bomb, the core was almost purely mechanical. A pair of small flares, no doubt used to set off the gunpowder and then the rest of the bomb were strategically located beneath the main trigger... it meant he would have to disable the entire trigger before attempting to disable the flares. "Macey, I can handle the rest, please go back and guard Harrison." She knew better than to argue with him when he was asked her to protect his son. Silently she stood back up and scrubbed again some of the stray blood splatters on her face. Daedalus listened as her footfalls became gradually fainter, but never left his range of hearing. "OK Dae, last call." The trigger was comparatively rudimentary compared to the rest of the bomb, in his own lab, he could whip up something similar in only a few minutes. He supposed though the Underdogs had not expected that it would be Daedalus himself would attempt to disable the weapon, and even if he did, that Macey would not be with him. Within a few moments he had managed to take apart the piece of tech, even though it's timer was now non-operational, there was still a risk it could explode. Reaching back into his kit, he removed a small tub of cream coloured gel, removing one of his blast gloves, he wiped his fingers into the container and began to slowly smear the contents over the flares. Within a few moments, the chemicals inside the cream would seep through into the explosive powder of the flares, soaking it and preventing it from exploding... He couldn't believe it, after all that, all his fear it was done. Undoing the straps of his helmet, Daedalus pulled it free from his face and set it down next to him. Sweat lines covered his face, wiping his forehead with his sleeve, he turned to the others "...It's done." He could see the pride in his son's eyes, watching his father save everyone. It felt as though all the stress had just melted away. Grinning broadly, he watched as Harrison dashed forward with his arms open to hug his father... It was only then he heard the gentle ticking... The next few seconds were a blur. Daedalus could recall running forward and grabbing Harrison as the blast hit him and he was pitched forward towards the solid stone walls of the cellar. Macey screamed at the impact and rushed over. Harrison lay white in his father's arms but was otherwise uninjured, somehow his father had managed to turn in the air to take the impact. Her uncle lay there, slumped and unmoving, blood covering over his silver hair and wrinkled brow. Harrison's eyes fluttered open, his voice weak. "Dad ? No answer. "Dad ?!"
14. I tend to do that when the clocks change over for Daylight Savings Time, I intend to set my alarm back or forward and hour and then forget it. It's a real pain to get up at 5:45 instead of 6:45 and be fully ready by the time you realise the mistake.
  15. Ah, new chapter and there's apparently a James Bond theme going, does this mean we can call James "J" ? :animesmil
  16. I actually always saw Lector as a very tall, sinister looking man. Sort of like Count Olaf from "A Series of Unfortunate Events" On a side note, Daedalus wants all the loyal family members to join the Anti-Bavaria club, after all, Bavaria is a secret Nazi who eats puppies and kittens.
  17. For the pictures D'Ann, I say the third or the first. I love the morbidity of the first one, but sadly that's probably not going to be held over in the cropped version. So the third one gets my vote as well.
  18.
While thrashing Harrison at the same time I would imagine.
As much as I want to say otherwise, Daedalus is probably going to give Harrison a smack across the back of the head for putting himself in danger. After all, who's going to inherit Magitech after Daedalus is gone ? Just OOC Josh/Sandy, seeing are we're on the topic of Daedalus' offspring, what's the story with Dwalish and Jacob Mason ? Are their characters still around, or should we forget about them ?
  19.
Genjutsu is really cool in theory, but it doesn't make for exciting fights lol.
Too true, I actually kinda feel sorry for Zetsu, even if all he seems to do is watch fights, this one is definitely going to be the most boring for him. Hopefully we might get a look at the Suigestsu/Kisame fight, but then again I already think that's going to be a bit of a walkover for the demon shark.
  20.
Daedalus is probably bored by such fripperies. Old fashioned goat that he is...
Yeesh, harsh D. Daedalus probably will go though, if only to take Harrison and try to do some father/son bonding after neglecting him for so long. I can just imagine how often the poor old man is going to be mistaken for the boy's grandfather though...:animesigh
  21.
Yeah, I seriously doubt Madara wanted Itachi putting him on Sasuke's "to-kill" list. Also, good guess, Gavin. This fight has been nothing but genjutsu. Which, kinda pisses me off, because I hate fights with genjutsu users. Mainly because I never know wtf is going on. I mean really, think about it, let's say you see somebody stab somebody else in the back with their sword. Their dead, right? Nope. Just some genjutsu user giving you a brain****. >.

  23.
Yeah, losing the eyepatch should be enough to get past Nnoitra's Hierro - and then I'm holding out for a Kenpachi shikai to beat Nnoitra's released form.
I don't imagine even with the patch off shikai will be enough to beat Nnoitra, seeing as Kenpachi's sword is always released. That said, if he's actually learned his sword's name, I imagine even his shikai will have become a lot stronger. God help the Espada if he's actually achieved bankai.
  24.
Edited, anything else?
Nope, that's fine, thanks Malkav.
  25.
Funny you should mention that.
By D, I meant D'Ann/Neuvoxraiha, not you DB. BTW, advertising your spar in D'Ann's thread, definitely not a good idea.
