The YuGiOh dub theme song though. Wow, it's horrendous. It's just the music with the words 'YuGiOh' thrown in every so often along with 'It's time to duel'. And the only thing that changed with each different season were the scenes in the opening, while the music stayed exactly the same. In the Japanese version they had different songs for each season as with most anime.
Oh. Hell. Yeah. I saw an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh for the first time in ages the other day, and that crap theme music just went straight through me. I can't understand how I managed to actually sit through and enjoy most of that series. Oddly though, I actually like the GX music for some reason. Along with YGO comes DBZ, I may be a huge DBZ fan, but even I can admit that the dub versions music just plain sucked.
I think it's pretty clear that any endangered species should have some protections in place. I don't know whether or not the dolphin population is generally endangered (I imagine not), but for me that really gets to the core of the issue. I really have no problem with the farming of just about any animal as long as it's regulated and done in a way that is sustainable. I mean, we're okay with killing chickens...and that's probably largely because we farm them and they are in no danger of becoming extinct. I would have thought this would be the major test for any form of farming - sustainability.
This pretty much sums up my thoughts on it, if people want dolphin, let them at least farm the thing to make sure they don't wipe it out. That said, the more humane the method of culling the animals, the better.
My sign up has been posted. I left it vague as to who Harrison's parents are, but if you and I make the cut Gavin, you can always claim the brat as your own. He can drive you nuts with his refusal to take up a more fitting occupation for a member of the Almagest family. :p Anyway, even before you commented on the age thing Sandy, I figured you needed a brat who always gets himself into trouble.
I suppose I ought to give you fair warning then Crystia, Daedalus isn't the parental type. He'll likely spend as much, if not more time working on a new project of his than he will with his family. Indeed, I'd almost imagine that he'd leave Harrison up to his own devices in an effort to distil a sense of responsibility and maturity into the lad, or at least hope he tries to work on something to impress his father that actually merits his attention. There's a similar idea going on in my sign up, where Daedalus attempts to impress his father into giving him attention. You might say the condition is hereditary. Also, given that Daedalus is practically the god of weaponsmithing, Harry will like have an interest in his father's work. Now I just need a wife to provide a mother for the brat.

Meh, it's a Monday, which means that even though it's a light enough day work-wise compared to others, it's still the first day after the weekend, which takes a bit of time to adjust to. Left the house at roughly 7:30 AM today and got back some time near 6:30 PM, so as you might imagine I'm a little tired. Day Rating: 6/10

Your name: Daedalus Almagest Your age: 67 Your position inside the Almagest family: Daedalus is Leonhart's elder brother. Your portrait: One of Daedalus' rare public photos, taken recently during the official demonstration of his latest completed project. Your occupation: As one of the elder Almagest?s still living, Daedalus serves a variety of roles within Magitech Corporation. He is one of the company?s directors, responsible for ensuring that the path of success, control and profitability that the company has attained since Celsius? time is maintained and expanded upon. In reality though, Daedalus has little interest in commercial matters and prefers to leave them to his younger brother, choosing to support him in his decisions. Primarily, Daedalus spends him time in Magitech Corporation?s main industrial laboratory, a huge complex dealing with the production of new fusions of magic and technology, overseeing his own personal area of development, mechanical dynamics. Despite other Almagests having a distinct interest in the combination of the biological and the alchemical, Daedalus prefers clockwork-run machines of iron to do his bidding. A veteran soldier, many of his creations fall strictly within the confines of weapons, war-machines and armours. Your story: Daedalus looked up from his workbench to find Leonhart staring at him again, even though his brother was twelve, and developing quite a potent intelligence of his own, it still annoyed Daedalus to no end to have an audience watching his every move. He pushed the lens from in front of his eyes and sighed, wondering when exactly how he would cope another year before he entered the Academy of Sciences. ?Yes Leonhart ?? He allowed a fraction of his frustration to pour into his voice, hoping his brother would get the message and leave. ?What?re you doing brother ?? Leonhart tilted his head, trying to get a better look at the collection of parts on the workbench. ?Working...? ?On what ?? ?Something I want to show father.? He did not elabourate, because if did, his brother would waste another hour asking more pointless questions. ?Do you want to be alone ?? ?I prefer privacy while I work.? More irritation slipped into his voice. ?Do you think I?m a bother Daedalus ?? He sighed again, leaving down the tools in his hand, before removing his gloves and brushing his pale hands against his chest. Leonhart had one of those expressions on his face that Daedalus knew meant the wrong word could sent him crying to their mother, and he didn?t need to be lectured again. He walked slowly up to his brother and sat down on the staircase next to him. roughly tussling Leonhart?s hair. ?No, you?re not a bother little brother, but I want to impress father with what I?m making. To do that, I need to be able to focus fully on my work. When I?m finished though, we?ll go for a trip on the airship OK ?? His brother?s mood perked up immediately, as he reached over and hugged his elder brother tightly, or at least as tightly as Leonhart could wrap his arms around his far larger brother. Even though he was only fourteen, Daedalus already stood nearly six foot and had a distinctive muscular build from working with heavy machines, his shaggy greasy hair was wrapped up in a pony tail to keep it out of his eyes. ?OK, I?ll let you get back to work, but promise me you?ll show what you?ve built after you show father.? ?Alright, see you later.? Fifty-One Years Later Daedalus looked up from his workbench to find Leonhart staring at him... after fifty year, he had simply accepted some things never change. ?Yes Leonhart ?? Daedalus had a small smile on his face. ?What?re you doing brother ?? ?Working.? Both brothers simply laughed together, enjoying the memory of their youth.

Fallen Leaves By their lives, Konoha prospered, By their deaths, Konoha survived. Each generation carries the Will of Fire. It is the symbol of hope for the Hidden Village of the Leaf. In a select few however, this flame burns stronger and brighter than all others, and they are destined to shape many lives and futures. The legendary Sannin were one such group, Team 7, their students another. One group however had a flame which burned so strong and so bright, it was believed it could go on forever, the students of Hatake Sakumo: The Golden Three. Uchiha Fugaku, Hyuuga Hizashi and Sarutobi Sasuke. In each of them, even as children, I could see a greatness, as though I were a gardener already witnessing the centurion oak within the newly fallen acorn. I fully believed then, that one day they would exceed even me, the man referred to as the god of all ninja. I see a similar potential in their children, but know that this time, I will not be around to see whether or not it blooms fully. - Sarutobi Yuudai (The Third Hokage) ||||| Well, as you might have guessed from that sliver of a back-story, this is a Naruto-based RPG. That said, it has absolutely nothing to do with the titular character, nor the current timeline of the manga, so for those of you not caught up, there?s no worry about spoilers. Instead this RPG is set around the lives of the Genin team of Sakumo Hatake, Konoha?s White Fang, and Kakashi?s father. You may also recognise that two of these men, Fugaku and Hizashi are the fathers of two other important Konoha-nin, Sasuke and Neji. Sarutobi Sasuke is the father of Konohamaru, and as you might have guessed is the one whom Uchiha Sasuke is named after. The story will start just after the graduation of the three from the Academy at age twelve, literally opening with their introduction to Sakumo, and will follow a similar path to the Naruto series, i.e. their getting missions, eventually facing the Chuunin Exams and some other big plots which I don?t want to give away yet. The setting is roughly 30 years before the current Shippuuden timeline, so the three boys are about 12, and Sakumo is in his early 20s. I?m looking for only three players, as I?ll be playing Sakumo myself, but for this, commitment is the important thing. Please don?t join if you?re not in this for the long haul. The sign up is fairly straight forward, all you do is supply a sample post of your chosen character giving their reaction to graduating from the Academy. It should give me a rough idea of their overall personality and particular skills, more of which can be established in the opening posts of the RPG. One thing for those signing up as Hizashi, he has not yet been branded with the cursed seal mark of the Branch Family, which will occur during the RPG. For the moment, he is still a member of the Main House, and believes that due to the fact he is Hiashi?s twin, he has every chance of becoming the next Clan leader. Anyway, enough blathering from me, I hope to see some good sign ups.

Even if J-Man bites it in the next chapter, I've got to say my disappointment will be more so for his lack of a kick-*** death than for him actually dying. Pein has been a waste of a villain when he could have been so much more, so God damn it, Tobito better live up to the backstory that's being built around him. Kill Pein J-Man, we all know Naruto is the real child of destiny.
I daresay it's getting worse than the filler arcs in the anime.
I'd have to agree, but then, at least we're away from the secondary characters and villains and back to more primary ones.

Eoghan's lungs burned as he dashed through the streets of Berlin towards the small brick apartment he called home. The spatters of blood from Hyde-Parker?s remains were thankfully hidden by his dark choice in clothing, the ill feeling that came with ending another human life in so physical a way still fresh on his tongue. Stumbling in the door, Eoghan was hopeful that there would not be another squad of Stark?s spectres awaiting him. The abode was silent, everything left in it?s correct place, with no sign of a foreign hand searching for clues of where he was heading next. Removing his coat, waistcoat and shirt, he collapsed in front of his wash basin, suppressing the urge to vomit until he had at least cleaned the few spots of blood that had dried to his hands and face. Cupping his hands into the water, he scrubbed his hands against his face vigorously, and repeated the action several times before he felt sufficiently clean to take the towel hanging next to the basin...only then did he notice it was missing. ?Seems you can?t keep out of trouble can you ?? In the nanosecond it had taken Eoghan to both recognise the voice and the language, he had simply been prepared to meet his maker, knowing that nothing he could have done would have avoided it. Michael O?Keefe stood there simply holding out the towel for him. ?You have a strange proclivity my old friend in frightening me to very near to death every time we meet.? ?My apologies. But unfortunately this time I?m here for the worst reasons. Our intelligence network has learned the English know you?re heading for Vienna. The squad I assigned to guard you are dead, and your safehouse has been burned to the ground, so we need to go to our contingency plan...Your Highness.? ?Don?t call me that.? Eoghan sighed, not for his own situation, but for the lost lives of those assigned to guard him. He hated it, the fact he was singled out by their blood to be treated differently. It wasn?t that he would make a particularly good High King, but more so, it was that he was a symbol of hope, the idea that even if the British Crown claimed dominance over Ireland, their attempt to wipe out and supplant it?s native royalty had failed. Eoghan had little doubt that if the time ever came in his life when the English had been driven out of the country, he would face the daunting prospect of becoming it?s monarch. ?With respect Eoghan, I?ve known you since you were a boy. I know you don?t like the whole monarch concept, but we?re all freedom fighters, and your keeping yourself alive is the best way you can help fight for that freedom. I?m just thankful the English still seem to think you?re just some common folk-hero rather than the heir to the throne... I?m sure I don?t have to tell you what happened to the others.? He didn?t, when the English had invaded first, they had wiped out as much of the ruling class as possible. But even then, they had known that some families had gone underground to protect themselves, and even to this day hunted the remaining bloodlines with a sick dynamism. Eoghan pulled the hip-flask free from his jacket and drank back deeply, he had gone into hiding on the continent to protect himself and his identity as much as possible, but in reality he seemed to have little control over his life. ?So what?s your plan ?? Michael stood there for a moment without saying anything... that was never a good sign. ?We?ve decided to send you to Nice first, they won?t expect it. After that we?ve decided to send you east.? ?Rome ?? ?Further. We?re sending you to the Orient. The English don?t have nearly as much sway out there as they still have here. You?ll be safer hopefully.? After what seemed like an eternity, Eoghan managed to draw in a breath. He had never been sent so far from Ireland before. Suddenly he hated his life with a new passion. Michael to he credit merely stood there, attentive as he had always been, and for a moment Eoghan hated him for it. All he could do in the end though was accept, he was important to others, even if he was willing to die, there were too many others who were unwilling to let him. ?So, why am I going to Nice ?? ?You?re going to a party.? Eoghan merely cocked an eyebrow, it was not like his friend to be vague. ||||| Meh, OK, not a great post. The idea of Eoghan being royalty came from a conversation with Crystia yesterday, so blame her. ;)

Well, seeing as I bought the last item, I'm going to offer up something quite rare and valuable, yes I'm offering the famed Size 1 font style, used by current oldies such as myself and Josh, and many other famous oldies in the past, such as Sara, Corey and Athena. Because we are talking about an important piece of OB lore, I'd be ashamed to offer it at anything less than $1,000. Remember you're not just buying a font size, you're buying an identity.

Also, you're still infamous. Just accept it. :p
Hmm, I took it that both nations were roughly as powerful as one another, and that the Chinese were pretty much more powerful than everyone else, what with owning most of Asia. On that note, D'Ann, what's the story with America ? Is it discovered or will that be the major plot point for the story ? As for my infamy, not sure how I got it, but I accepted that a while back. :animeswea
Well ya see Gavin, you get a bottle of good Irish whiskey and maybe some Canadian Rye and you sit yourself down in the family room with your toddler (who is going to be occupied by Spongebob and some cereal) then you keep drinking until the show gets good. I swear that's how it happens
That does tend to explain how so many parents are actually able to sit in a room with their child and watch the show. Honestly though, I can't see myself wasting a good bottle of whiskey to check it out. :animesmil -
Oh Gavin... It's a given that you're infamous. :p And since Rach so nicely opened that up, I had fun with it. I was actually expecting the Germans to have a rather terse relationship with the British, though the fact they're Windsors in this case does make it a little more believable.

Generally, I would consider pornopraphy to be a material with sex as it's primary focus, where as an adult game could have sex as a major part of it's focus or it's base, but with other segments built around it, like Leisure Suit Larry.

Meh, the whole "cheating is bad" is sort of "duh" territory for me. If you get into a relationship with someone and you see it's not working, just finish it, as it saves a lot of trouble for all parties concerned.
