Go to your local pub at about seven in the evening, drink for the next five hours and by midnight when the zombies arrive, you'll be outside swaying, sticking and incoherent, in other words, they'll mistake you for one of their own. Repeat for as long as you're liver continues to function.
 2. Thank God for the logic of the courts. I have to say, if it was my brother's funeral and these creeps turned up outside, I would quite certainly beat the ever-living **** out of them for doing so. A father losing a son is an immensely tragic thing which doesn't need to be made worse so some group of bastards can spread a message of hatred.
 3. Des is right, you're probably talking about the old sparring forum who inhabitant Neil lorded over as I remember. You can still make spars inside in the Theatre, there's just not a specific forum for it any more.
 4.
I miss writing RPGs with Corey, Gavin (lub!)
Have to say Annie, it'd be great to have you and Corey around the Arena again, we could always launch another Black Horizon RPG, it'd be what the sixth or seventh in the series ? :animesmil
 5.
Deathman is Dead Synopsis: A few loser "super"villains all vie for Deathman's special cloak, The Death Shroud, after his untimely passing at the hands of a terrible ER doctor who looks and sounds suspiciously like George Clooney. Style: Think Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, and you're getting there. It's irreverent, satirical, sarcastic, and slapstick at times. Takes familiar subject matter and skews it to all hell. The characters include: Deathman's nephew, Louis. Kind of brainy but not terribly smart. He's got decent skills with computers and such but ultimately he's like Rain Man. You know the type. He's never allowed near a toaster due to a freak childhood accident involving the family cat, a bathtub, and a tuning fork. Incidentally, that's also why he has advanced male pattern baldness at the age of 16. Deathman's live-in caretaker for his son, the lovely but insanely fanatical Emily. She's 18, kinda nuts. She's none too fond of Louis; been looking to murder him for two years now. She's been unsuccessful due to performance anxiety. Minor theatre background. A few high school shows. Got banned from the theatre department in college after she was caught having sex with the Assistant Director...a Senior named Lisa. Emily is one of those militant Dyke types but she still looks like an actual woman. Deathman's adopted daughter, Marie. Surprisingly normal. She's never done anything truly disturbing. She feeds stray cats in the neighborhood. Helps elderly folk with their garbage. Basically, she's a Girl Scout...and she's tired of people expecting her to be pleasant and happy-go-lucky all the time. She and Emily have a strained relationship, understandably. I'm considering having Deathman's paperboy, Frankie, be a contendah. He's been delivering papers to them for a few years and eventually figured out that Deathman lived there. As if "D.T. Man" wouldn't have given it away. Obviously, he's not too bright, but he's got a good throwing arm, and loves Frisbee...especially when it's a razor-blade Frisbee.
That sounds simply awesome, Alex, you have to post this, for the love of the Force, post it. :animesmil
 6. Just to give you a heads-up Phil, I'll probably be unable to post between Sunday and Thursday of next week due to being in Italy. The Anthology thread sounds cool, but just out of curiousity, how long has Genesis Corporation been around ?
 7. New York's streetlights seemed to pulse passed them as the car tore through the city streets. Gabriel sighed quietly to himself, he'd gotten there in time and now she was safe, that was the most important thing. Dana was watching him, trying to catch a few stray glances at him while he was driving and didn't appear to be paying attention to her. He arched his head slightly in her direction to get a better look at her condition, there was a cut across the top of her left hand, and a couple of minor scrapes on her face. "There's antiseptic wipes in the glove-compartment. You should clean those cuts just to be sure." He didn't want to sound too indifferent, but at the same time, she was probably ready to panic. Nodding, she withdrew a few wipes and began to dab her wounds, her eyes were suddenly drawn to his midsection, and the soaking red patch on his stomach that flowed into the seat beneath him. "Oh my God, you've been shot !!" Way to state the obvious. "I'll be fine. I recover from injuries a lot faster than normal people. Trust me, in a few minutes, there won't even be a scar." She seemed somewhat reassured, giving him a weak smile and offering a wipe. Gabriel took it gingerly and rubbed his stomach. He winced, the pain from a gunshot wound to the stomach was one of the worst pains a person could experience. His left hand which he was currently using to steer the car clenched hard, causing the rubber of the wheel to squeak slightly. Gabriel tried to gauge how many times he'd been shot escaping with her, acting as a human shield. Aside from the deep one in his stomach, he counted one that had just clipped his left shoulder, and another in his calf which hurt like hell as well. Six shots in one day, that was a new record, and not a good thing. He'd already lost a good bit of blood from the earlier incident in Ritter's apartment building, now with his stomach, his was going to lose blood fast. Gabriel could already feel his responses getting sluggish, and he was certain his skin was starting to pale. "Dana, I need you to take over driving the car. Just follow the navigator and we'll be fine." He hoped she'd be still level-headed enough to do the job. "O...OK." Pulling the car up to the sidewalk, he opened his door as quickly as he could and staggered towards the opposite side of the vehicle. Dana had already swung into the driver's seat as Gabriel collapsed into the passenger's seat beside her. His quickly brought up the directions to Genesis Corporations HQ, before Dana started the car again and they were on their way. His vision started to blur after a few minutes, his wounds were healing, the one on his shoulder completely, but he wasn't going to be able to stay conscious much longer. His breathing was kept as quiet as he possibly could, but it was becoming ragged. By the time he lost consciousness completely, they had only about three kilometres to go from headquarters. "Gabe, Gabe wake up." His eyes opened lazily, meeting Adam's, a look of concern on the latter's face. "What's my prognosis doc ?" The field op commander's face relaxed into a smile. "Well you've been out about two hours, medical staff said that of the six wounds you took, two should have killed you outright, and you lost enough blood to die twice over. Now they're complaining you just wasted bandages seeing as you're pretty much 100% again." Gabriel sighed melodramatically. "Fuckers always have some complaint." Sitting up, he looked around the room. "Where's Dana ?" "She's fine Gabriel, thanks to you. Staff had a look at both of you when you came in, she's fine and has been sitting out in the waiting room to hear if you're OK. Seems you made quite an impression." Gabriel shrugged his shoulders. "It's what I do."
 8. Ack, I had this written Saturday and the bloody webpage had an error. Hope you don't mind me using your character Cyriel. ||||| Dashing down the flight of stairs three steps at a time, Gabriel was barely aware of the lancing pains up his legs. It didn't matter, his limbs would heal in a few seconds, his target however had potentially only minutes to live. When he saw the fire-exit at the end of the hallway on the fourth floor, he didn't even think before ramming it open with his shoulder and swan-diving off the edge of the railing. Adam's voice was obscured by the wind whistling past him as his hurtled towards the ground. Gabriel grunted in pain as he relocated both his shin bones back into position after impacting into the ground below. Of the three women who had been passing the sidewalk, two had fainted, and the third had paled to the point where she couldn't even speak, he had to admit, for most other people that dive would have ended a lot worse. Shakily he brushed off his clothing and checked his pockets to ensure nothing had fallen out during his descent, unlike himself, his equipment wasn't unbreakable, and having to replace the same three-hundred dollar phone twice in one month would be an irritation he could do without. Thankfully everything seemed to be there. Fishing his keys out of his trench coat, Gabriel sped across the street to his car. Felix must have been redirecting traffic away from them, as it was noticeably lighter than it had been when they'd arrived. He prayed Genesis Corporation's top computer geek had already sent the location of Gabriel's target to the on-board navigator in the car, as he had precious little time to be calling Felix and asking for them. Sighing in relief, he saw the tell-tale red arrow indicating an apartment block only a mile or so away. The engine of his Golf GT-TDI thrummed as he pushed his foot down hard on the accelerator, his tires squealed and burned rubber into the tarmac of the road surface. The target's data flashed on the screen, Dana Ritter, a nineteen year old college student with the ability to bring images into reality. Gabriel whistled, it was a fair rare power, in GenCorp's history he'd only ever read about one other person with the same ability. After a few minutes his pulled up outside the apartment building, he couldn't see anything out of the ordinary, but his hand still drifted over his gun. Exiting the car, he found the main door unlocked, which meant these were either really friendly people, or he had been beaten to the chase. Pulling his weapon free of it's holster, Gabriel checked the clip and darted into the elevator, pressing the button for the third floor, he waited apprehensively. When the doors opened, Gabriel didn't even have time to react as three bullets were pumped into his chest from a close range. "Shit !" He slumped backwards into the lift, more so annoyed about the fact that his favourite shirt now had a pair of bullet-holes in it than actually being shot, yes it was odd, but given his condition, it was understandable. He closed his eyes and allowed his head to droop to give the illusion that they had actually killed him. "Check him." Judging from the breathing he could hear, there were two men, the one who had shot him, and an accomplice. When the second man reached forward for Gabriel's throat, the veteran agent struck forwards with his fist, striking him directly into the throat. He fell back gagging for a moment, before Gabriel put a single round into his forehead. He jumped to his feet and looked outside the elevator, but the first man had disappeared, cursing Gabriel went to pull his phone out of his pocket to call for back-up, only to find it in pieces from one of the three shots he'd taken. This was not his day. Evidently the two men had already been in the apartment, Gabriel probably should have tried to find some form of I.D. on the second man's corpse but he'd already rounded the corner and entered Dana Ritter's home. The place was like a bomb-shell, but thankfully there was no sign of a grizzly ritual such as the one he and Adam had already encountered. On the ground by the fridge was a work schedule, the data on her file had said she worked at an art-gallery part-time, if she wasn't here, then she must have been there. Dashing back out of the apartment, he found the spot where the second man's body should have been empty, either it had been taken by the first man, or Gabriel wasn't the only one immune to bullets. The art gallery was a brightly lit building against the growing dark of the autumn evenings. Hopefully he'd beaten Dana's pursuers this time. Walking slowly up the steps into the main entrance of the building, he found the woman at the front desk. He couldn't take any chances this time, he banged loudly on the plate glass, drawing a shocked reaction from Ritter, or perhaps it was the blood stains on his jacket that frightened her. "Ms. Ritter, I need you to open the door now ! You are in great danger !" ||||| Cyriel, I'll let you decide how to pursue the next scene.
 9.
Anyway, I'll admit that this hasn't been the strongest showing of creative ingenuity that we've seen from Kishimoto. However, we can look at this as actually seeing more of Jiraiya's repertoire before he dies. There were a lot of characters I would have loved to see more of what they were capable of doing (i.e. Sarutobi and Minato), but Kishimoto never really dived into the old monkey when he was alive and we've only ever been able to see about Minato through various limited flashbacks.
I'd definitely agree with you there, I'd love to see what some of the deceased, or even parent ninjas can do, given how skilled their kids seem to be. The one ninja in particular who I'd love to have heard a bit more about would be Sakumo Hatake, given he apparently rivalled the Sannin in strength and was probably only about Minato's age. That and Kohona's White Fang is just an awesome name. :animesmil
 10. I actually really like the idea behind that Time for Tea one Josh, I'd say if you posted it in the Inn you might be surprised by how many people would sign up.
 11.
Well, its not like every fight doesn't have moments like this. Heck, even in the fights in my novel, I have a few moments of 'filler' content. So, I don't blame Kishimoto.
Perhaps, but seeing as this could be Jiraiya's last fight, I don't think it's unfair to ask for better quality writing that we've been given at the moment.
 12. Hmm, seems my thinking Ian McKellan was the best to play Dumbledore was even more apt than I thought. Seeing as he was over a hundred, I think his sexuality really makes no difference...at least I genuinely pray it made no difference. :animeswea
 13. Another chapter that will make great filler in the anime, Pein pulls out a few more summons, Jiraiya shows one or two new jutsu and in the end we're right back where we started with them ready to fight again. God why won't it end. :animesigh
 14.
Open Palm with Furious Ming. Almost all these games where you choose your own path, I normally start off with the hero route first. It's a habit :).
Nice choice, I used a modified Tiger Shen in my first game, but I slowly came to love the Thousand Cuts style because it suited my focus and chi powered attacks so well. Juken FTW. :animesmil
One thing about my last play through is that I totally underestimated how good the Heavenly Wave technique is. Mainly because I didn't understand what a harmonic combo was, nor did I know how to initiate one so I just said forget that thing altogether. When that old hippy kept using focus in combination with Heavenly Wave my mouth dropped. Never again will I underestimate the elderly lol.
I suppose I was lucky, I picked up on using Harmonic Combos pretty early in the game, I think I just got lucky with one once and after seeing the result thought, I'm definitely using this more often.
 15.
In any case, I beat Jade Empire last night. I'm playing it again, this time I'm going to see how it is taking the Closed Fist.
Good to see I'm not the only one playing Bioware's latest gem. Did you play though Open Palm or Closed Fist ?
 16.
The easiest way for me is to look away from it for a bit, visualize it spinning the opposite direction in my mind, and then look back.
The best way I found to make it rotate in the opposite direction was to go so close to the screen that my eyes couldn't focus on the image, then when you pull away it should be spinning in the opposite direction than it did before.
 17. I think we might be as well off in a single team of seven rather than two teams, as it'd make the story flow a bit easier.
 18.
Addendum: It is that confounded "Azure" at the beginning of his name that is the most likely culprit for such a misconception.
Concurred, because apparently "agreed" is too short to be posted by itself. :animesmil
 19.
Now I could be that kind of a nanny. >;D
[Backs away slowly] No thanks Sandy. :animeswea
 20. Already knew I was a left-brainer.
 21.
You need to sit there quietly for as many minutes as you have years in your age. So for you, what, forty-five minutes? X)
According to the article you're supposed to explain why I'm on this "naughty chair", which as Rev correctly pointed out definitely sounds like something out of a fetish sex shop. :animeswea
 22.
Yes. Jo Frost is my idol. ;P For that: Gavin, go to the Naughty Bench. Now.
The what now ? :animeswea
 23.
As far as Westwood Studios goes...I didn't particularly support their amalgamation into EA LA, but having said that, Command & Conquer 3 is a pure gem.
Compared to previous incarnations of C&C, I'm just going to have to disagree with you there Jeh. Sure Tiberium Wars was a decent enough RTS, with some pretty graphics, but in reality it introduced absolutely nothing new to a series which pretty much defined the genre of RTS in terms of innovation and quality. And Ken, you hit the nail on the head with KOTOR 2, fun game, but infinitely inferior to the original due to the time restraints put on it. If Bioware choose to do KOTOR 3, it'll be much the same situation. I mean we got two patches for a game as bug riddled as KOTOR 2 from Obsidian, so how few will we get from EA ?
 24.
Of course you can make suggestions and give feedback to us. I'm trying to become a more... pleasant in my moderation, but since I'm also a professional upbringer in real-life, I can be quite stern and decided.
So you're like the Super Nanny of OB ? :animesmil
 25. Argh indeed. There really is nothing positive to be said about this situation. Whenever EA has taken over a company before, the games that have been produced have been inarguably inferior compared to games produced by the company prior to takeover, Westwood's Command & Conquer series being a prime example. This is going to be the same case with Bioware, which is a damn shame, because they've been the benchmark for all RPGs for God knows how many years at this point.
