1. |Update: September 5th| To be honest Mystic Ninja, I'd have preferred if you PMed it to me, but I suppose this way is fine as well. There's nothing really wrong with it, save that Frieza refers to Zarbon and Dodoria as "Mr" a title he never used in the Anime and Frieza should be referred to as Lord, not "Master". However aside from that I'm happy, so you're in as Frieza, Zarbon and Dodoria. Congrats.
  2.
Ever hear about the time OB was down for 6 weeks? I can see your anneurysm now...
Was it only six weeks ? I could have sworn it was down for over two months at one stage, maybe I'm wrong, it was more than four years ago at this stage.
  3.
#4
What a stalker's binoculars would look like if they were to immerse themselves into OB.

The answer sounds like Who's Online, but that's already been used. I'm going to guess Search OB, or the search engine to give it it's proper name I suppose. I've got another answer in the back of my mind but for now I'll go with this.
  4.
So.. tell me you guys, how are you feeling? OB is back, I know, but I know we all went through some tough times the last twenty four hours. Just.. don't hold back, let it out. Let the healing begin.
I felt like I couldn't breathe Ken, as though my one outlet for my creative side had been cruelly taken away. Jesus I thought I'd have to revert to shadow puppets again, shadow puppets. OK, jokes aside I was a little curious about what was going on. Still though we have all our posts and accounts intact, so no real harm done.
  5. Considerate Idealist. Honestly I was kind of surprised by how accurate the test was overall, though after ten pages of questions I think someone probably would be able to form some kind of accurate impression of what I'm like. The Femininity, Agency and Authoritarianism personality stats though seem a bit off, the first should definitely be lower and the other two should be a bit higher.
  6. Codename: Mr Silver Appearance: Silver. Personality: It's the laugh that will creep people out, a kind of demented cackle that comes out wherever and whenever Silver finds himself amused by something, it could be a person, an article in a newspaper, a comic, it doesn't matter really, if he finds it amusing, you can guarantee that laugh will come. Some will think it's a farce, a shield to redirect people's attention away from something that does interest him, maybe it is, maybe it isn't, nobody knows except Silver, and he's not very forthcoming on the issue. He'll jump down beside you on the couch and start talking, could be about anything, as there seems to be very few subjects he's not versed on, I've heard people say there's a fine line between genius and madness, Silver seems to walk that line and occasionally skip into whichever side takes his fancy. I know to be scared of him, he gets that look in his eyes sometimes, like a guy looking into a barrel as if there's nothing there, as if he's wrapped in some kind of shield that makes him invincible. He gets that same look when he's the one holding the gun, as if having someone's life in his hands is just some kind of joke, a game which he can play at his convenience. I wonder if life is better from his perspective, if the world looks any different. His levity isn't contagious, in fact I'd say it nearly serves to put people on edge, as if he's too happy, but when he's angry, when the laughs stop, then the killing starts, that's when blood will pour in gallons, and afterwards, he'll just start smiling again. In One Sentence: The man has no fear, and will die laughing.
This is where that Adapter thing comes in. Apparently you plug it into your USB port and it acts as a router. You'd have to ask Bill, he has one. Anyway, what games are you guys getting? Diamond or Pearl? I think I'll most likely be getting Pearl. Because although Diamond's legendary guy looks cooler, almost nobody will be getting Pearl so it'll be easier to trade and stuff. :)
Yeah but for the sake of being polite, due to lag issues, you're supposed to have broadband to access Wi-Fi. As for which game, not really sure at the moment, though it doesn't really make a difference this early. Out of the two, I'm not really sure which I prefer as they both look pretty wicked for Legendaries, I just hope their Time and Space Ruler titles actually reflect their level of power when it comes to catching them.
  10.
Simlocks are completely different to phone locks. A simlock doesn't let you enter the phone at all if it has the wrong sim card, and the only way you can undo it is to enter a long complex password that is only obtainable through your carrier or (with some phones) online generators. Phone locks just serve as a first defense to keeping someone out of your ****, and they aren't considered extremely strong, so you get infinite shots at it.[/color']
Hmm, I recall on my old Nokia 3310, if it went to Simlock you got 10 tries before the phone seized up completely and you have to bring it back into a Nokia shop to have it unlocked. Maybe it's different with Motorola than it is with Nokia.

Some of us are still using below 56K dial-up for God's sake.
  12. Interesting, most interesting. Well aside from a mountain, a river, a few houses and a bunch of fields, there's absolutely nothing else to see round where I live. The nearest town is about three and a half miles away, and with a population of only a thousand people, there's not a whole lot to do there, in fact scratch that, there's nothing to do there. The next nearest town is more of a small city by Irish standards with about twenty-five thousand people, there's a few things there of interest, a museum, a library, a park, an arboretum, as well as two or three good shops for videogames and music, but nothing really special about it. Overall I prefer living in the country, it's quieter and there's not a lot of jerks that annoy you when all your neighbours are related to you. Seriously my dad and all his brothers live next to one another, so we never have problems. That said, I'm lucky to have the internet out here, so maybe the town isn't so bad.

    Tree

    Interesting, most interesting.
Better question: A tree falls on a mime in a forest and no one's around to hear it. Does anyone care?[/SIZE']
I think not. However this question does raise a further question, would the mime make a sound, intentional or no, as the tree falls on him/her ? Examples might be "Oh ****" or even the sound of his bones being crushed by a heavy object. As for does a tree falling in the woods make noise if nobody is around to hear it, well if there's no life to the forest, then it raises the question, what killed all life in said forest and left the trees intact ? Anyway to answer the pointless question, I'm siding with "Yes it does make a sound" and Ken's great interpretation of what that sound would sound like.
  14. Interesting, most interesting.
As for the method in which I obtained the phone, its not really illegal, so I will say how. I was just walking through the school parking lot yesterday, and there was this thing. Not a physical thing. It was more like a feeling. I looked around, and there it was, beckoning to me. I picked it up, and pocketed it. You see, I didn't steal it, it called to me. I swear. It needed a good home.

Well I later found out who's phone it was. Its the douche-bag captain of the wrestling teams. I actually had given serious consideration to turning the thing in, but karma had caught up to him for being a d*ck to everybody. I don't wanna mess with karma.
While everyone is trying to get you to see karma of this situation, or whether you're right or wrong to have taken the phone, I'm going to try a different approach. This guy is the captain of the wrestling team as you have said, if he finds out you stole his phone, he's going to snap you in two, because he's trained specifically to inflict pain on other people. In taking his phone, you will have made him, in all probability, angry, thus if he finds out you have the phone, he will take his anger out on you. My advice, give back the phone and pray he doesn't find out you had it.

God no, the contests are back ? Those were such a waste of time, to paraphrase the wise Prince Vegeta, my Pokémon are warriors, not a variety of flower. I mean seriously, in a toughness contest, how can an Aggron not get the audience's approval ? It's ridiculous. OK, after my little rant, I'm personally very pleased that the different time periods have been brought back, night and day from Gold and Silver were cool, but I can't wait to see what happens by adding morning, afternoon and evening to the mix. I hope the Safari Zone won't be exactly the same as previous incarnations, where you pay to catch so-called rare Pokémon, I mean seriously, there are Pokémon that are limited to other regions and you don't have to pay to catch them. Maybe integrate part of the old Bug Catching Contests into the mix and have a prize for the person with the rarest catch. Seeing as the hand-held games never vary between Europe, the U.S. and Australia, aside from those countries in Europe with separate languages, I've never understood why they can't release an English version at the same time across the board, or at least include Ireland and the U.K. in the American shipping. Oh well, doesn't really matter, we can easily order a copy from across the waters when they're released in the States. 17. His tongue traced down the delicate skin of his neck, so soft, so tempting, but if he drained her dry, who would see to him ? He sighed, collapsing back down into his large bed, there was so little joy left to the world in this place, so much sun, so little night, he could not leave for fear of dying at the hands of dawn's first rays. Spain had originally proven attractive, beautiful landscapes sharpened by the silver moonlight, everything seemed so perfect. She still sat looking at him, the half vacant gaze of one under his thrall, her nude form glistening with sweat, he had no heart for love-making with these women, they were even less alive than he, the warmth coursing through their veins could so easily be removed, it would satisfy him for a time, but only a time. Memories of the old country returned, where he had been one vampire among many, where he had taken a bride, the daughter of a noble house. Her mother had not approved, declaring that he was more than twice her age, her mark was off by a factor of ten, but then she had assumed him a mortal gent, but still his every waking thought was of her, his Amelia. Had it been chance she left the window open that night ? Or had she known all along he was not all he appeared to be ? It did not matter, lust had taken him that night, he desired her more than anything he had ever known, immortality would be nothing without her. She had barely flinched as his teeth broke the skin on her neck, his hand wove it's way between her legs, the throws of passion consumed them both, she moaned, and moaned, every thrust bringing them closer together. Fresh blood ran from the cut at his wrist, his gift to her... They spent nearly sixty years together, never without one another, always it was a lover's game, to feed. Often they would be invited to balls, Monsieur et Madame LaChance, hours would be spent selecting a suitable meal, the anticipation heightened the thrill of eventually feeding. His wife would disappear into the throng before returning with a young man, barely seventeen years of age, he would watch her slip him into an empty room, satisfying his lust, heating his blood. He had fed upon hundreds of people, and nothing had ever tasted better than blood drained from those who had just committed carnal acts, he would glide into the room as the pair lay naked ravishing one-another, grasp the youth by the throat and drain him dry as he lay still embedded deep within his wife. Lucian... Lucian... Her ruby lips would mouth his name as they made love. A corpse lay not three feet from them, there was always the chance they would be discovered, a hoard of angry nobles charging them, hands alit with steel to slay them for their crimes. It brought the slightest of smiles to his face now, better times now long passed. If he tried long enough, the vampire could recall her scent, the shocking glory of her red hair, and the depthless eternity of her blue eyes. Now though he had only his still human slaves, a cabal of half-brained heiresses who sought to become an immortal, instead in anger he had brought them here, under his spell where they would never leave, all but one. Vigour rose within his ageless form, desire for death, either his own or hers. He would stalk her for months if necessary, across the great seas and oceans of the world, but eventually he would plunge his fist into her chest, tear out her still beating heart and consume it. Long thin fingers wrapped around his thrall?s neck, she whispered in Spanish, a prayer perhaps ? To God ? It was amusing, those who had declared their allegiance to him, casting aside all others now ran to the cover of something even less real than him. True he existed, but powerless to intercede when she begged for his aide. The strength in his fingers was enough to snap her neck before she?s even finished her first sentence, she lay back into his arms without struggle, and he kissed her gently upon the forehead. The full moon stood a testament to his power, the sun?s dark brother in it?s great might. ?It is time.?
  18.
The one I fixed for him. [/FONT']
Heh, don't blame me, Bill never specified where he got the tune from. Just OOC White, would you by any chance be able to do the Indiana Jones theme ? Music was never really my specialty in school. ^_^'
  19.
No. Charles hasn't posted yet. Give it time. -Shy
Very true. After his avatars I can't wait to see what he'll provide. Four more for to the mix from me. Marina Sirtis The reason half of us still watch The Next Generation as young men, aside from our addiction to anything Star Trek that is. While she's actually older than my dad by about a month or so, this woman radiates the same calm sexiness that her character did, how many of us wish we could have been her Imzadi ? Jeri Ryan Resistance is futile ? Too right it is. No man can call himself a heterosexual male unless he finds this woman attractive, is there any other reason why Voyager's rating rose after she joined the cast ? Add to that Diana Troi's tight spandex uniform and you've got a recipe repeated nearly every Star Trek series to bring back interest. Terry Farrell and Nicole deBoer Heh, OK after this I think I've run through nearly every hot chick in Star Trek, save Enterprise. While I considered it criminal that Farrell was killed off in Deep Space Nine, not only because she was a great cast member, but because it mean Nana Visitor would be the only female, Nicole deBoer was a more than adequate successor. While Terry Farrell had that kind of "hot popular chick" look about her throughout the whole series, Nicole had that "quiet bookworm hottie" thing going on that drives most Trekkie guys wild.

  21. Well seeing as Nook is remodelling his shop, I've not got a lot to do in Hibernia today. Just out of interest, has anyone else here changed the Town Tune ? And if so, to what ? Currently I'm using Star Wars' Imperial March theme, which Bill kindly sent me via AIM.
  22.
As a way to make this post less completely useless, what do people where you live generally call carbonated beverages? Where I'm from we usually refer to them as soft drinks. The name 'pop' and 'soda' sounds wierd to me, actually. Like something they would have said back in the 80's or something.
Soft or fizzy drinks is the normal terminology in Ireland. "Soda" is so American it's actually kind of funny to hear it out loud. Just out of curiosity, for those of you who've ever been in Ireland, or have Irish relatives, have you/they ever had Red Lemonade ? I kid you not, it is a soft drink.
  23. Interesting, most interesting. Jessica Alba OK, she's been said twice before, but this should on reinforce the notion in people's minds that this woman is a siren. She is insanely gorgeous and is one of those few actresses to not have one defining feature about her, she is beautiful all over. Liv Tyler The second I saw Liv Tyler in Lord of the Ring: Fellowship of the Ring my jaw hit the floor, not only is she a definition of "classically beautiful" her voice has to be one of the most soothing I've ever heard. For those of you who might be interested, our own Athena happens to sound very like Liv, sorry for the publicity Annie, but it had to be said. Hard to believe someone like Liv Tyler could be the daughter of one of Aerosmith's guys. Dina Meyer OK, I admit it, first time I saw Dina Meyer was in Starship Troopers as Dizzy Flores, however, I'm a Trekkie, and the main reason that Dina is here is because she plays one of the very few, we're talking of two, she's the only one, hot female Romulans. Denise Crosby played the other and she does nothing for me. Aside from her obvious attractiveness, Dina exudes a strength about her that isn't all that common among actresses. Though given her genre, I suppose it's not that uncommon at the same time. Haven't seen Saw or it's sequel, seemingly she's in them.
  24. Interesting, most interesting. To cut a very long and boring story short, I was on holiday a few years ago in Turkey, while there I made the acquaintance of a few other guys my age and we would got the bars to seek out female company. On a dare, I drank three double vodkas followed by a beer and coke mixed together, as you can imagine the first part went down fine, however adding a beer/coke concoction to the mix caused my stomach to completely rebel against me leading to one of the worst puking sessions I've ever had, about ten minutes of solid vomiting. Thankfully I managed to get to the bathroom before anyone noticed, as we were all pretty drunk.
  25.
[IMG']http://img423.imageshack.us/img423/8867/whitepspeuropecx6.jpg[/IMG]
I was wondering who'd bring that up. Shame Nintendo didn't learn from Sony's mistake and have an all white armoured Samus fighting an all black one. Imagine all that media attention.
Gavin--after you purchased the system did you allow the battery to drain and then charge it up all the way? Also, take note that the higher the screen brightness you use, the faster the battery is going to drain.
I've not let it go completely dead yet. I'll probably do that tomorrow, Resetti however pisses me off something awful, such a shame I can't give him a wallop with my shovel and bury him somewhere. As for the brightness, I've not changed the setting so it's at normal, or whatever setting that is.
