Good to see Psyren continuing in some form after the ending. As for Inoue's lack of healing, it's 'cause she's an idiot.
So I'm not alone in rereading (a re-reread) Psyren. Currently on Tatsuo's 1st appearance. (Matsuri's 1st appearance was priceless/hilarious)
Same, I've convinced a housemate to start reading it and she seems to be really into it so far. I'm back as far as the first trip to Pysren.

I'm interesting in participating in this Anomaly but I've yet to finish Witch Hunter Robin to get a full understanding of the lore behind the series (exams atm), if it's OK would I be able to submit a sign up in a week or so and start later ?

I'd actually completely forgotten about that. Guess that was just something which couldn't be resolved in the time that was left, rereading Psyren from scratch from the start anyway so I'll see if there was something eventually.

Agreed, I still don't like the way Grana and Miroku sacrificed themselves but I guess they were just wrapping up loose plot strands. This definitely does need an anime, and one with an alternate ending that isn't constrained by being dropped by JUMP. Maybe take that as an arc ending leading to Miroku's attempt to build his Psychicer nation and the worldwide reactions that brings. Still, here's to you Psyren. You showed us what a Shounen manga should be. (You could try Enigma mate, I'm not bowled away by it as the art style is hella ugly but it's still vaguely interesting)
That's like setting a ventriloquist's dummy on fire because the guy with his hand up its rectum insulted you.
I'd almost forgotten how much better you make this thread Ace.
be honest, do you really want to see another drawn out war similar to Bleach?
Similar to Bleach, no. I would on the other hand like to see characters like Neji, Tsunade and Gaara who are going to fight loved ones actually get some character development because of their fights rather than a few panels of "I love you X, and will be watching you always" and then that's it. The whole reason I liked the Edo Tensei summons, much the same to Naruto taming the Kyuubi was that it would fill in additional blanks as to the history behind Konoha and the characters. Bleach's war was a bunch of strangers fighting another bunch of stranger with poor pacing and terrible plots, I don't see that happening here for the most part.

I really dislike the whole "Power of Heart" being such a weakness for the various resurrected shinobi. Orochimaru at least had the sense to suppress their personalities before he sent them out into the field but this is just kinda lame where Kankurou of all people pulls out the "Talk no Jutsu" and has it work. Fights that should've been epic are probably going to only last half a page or so until the still living shinobi defeats them. Fearsome technique indeed. As for Naruto's Bijuu-mode training I'm slightly happier that they've admitted Naruto's Sage/Super-Saiyan form is not the latter, it's just down to the fact the Kyuubi is a bit of a dick and won't help Naruto get there but that Hachibi admits he wasn't any different so we will hopefully see a more chatty Kyuubi in the future. Ruling out Bunshins was nice, but I was a little disappointed that the Rasengan is effectively just a human version of the Bijuu-bomb which naturally was the "that Jutsu" Minato was talking about. Sure Minato looks like an even greater genius for being able to take something only 9 demons can accomplish (although we've only seen 2 actually do it) and make it something skilled Shinobi could do, and then by adding an elemental-side to it something genius Shinobi could do but I'm getting a wee bit tired of Naruto only ever learning expanded versions of techniques he already has rather than some new stuff.

Urahara being a villain has been tossed around since Aizen's initial reveal as a the series Big Bad and to be honest I think it was more likely back then before we had all the stuff about the Vizards and the reasons for his exile. If Kubo does actually play the villain card for Urahara now I don't think it will make any sense unless he's been plotting far, far longer (pre-Aizen) than any of us realised, which is a bit too similar to Aizen for me. Added to that, Ramen Guy and his cohorts definitely give off a dodgy vibe.

Yeah, to be honest I'd much rather they'd left a kind of open-ended wrap up to the series "Who knows what the future holds?/Whatever" rather than giving us a definitive ending which feels very rushed. Sure there's still a few WISE members left, but without Miroku or Grana it just doesn't seem the same. Really hoping we get an anime now, this ending is too similar to Bleach's last arc for my tastes.
Then you will be crushed with the rest of the federation scum. HAIL ZEON!
Heh, I'm no great fan of the Federation either actually although Unicorn is slowly transforming me into a Neo Zeon fan.
Go with Lockon Stratos. Then again, maybe I should do that.
Meh I like Lockon but there's something about 00's art style that I just don't think suits signatures (I've tried before). Don't get me wrong, Neil is easily my favourite Meister (and Lyle is pretty decent too) but if I were to make a set of anyone it'd be [strike]Char's 00 Clone[/strike] Graham Akre.

Maybe, I guess the difference this time around is I can't just blitz through a hundred or so chapters (actually probably two hundred if I remember correctly) which would make bad pacing far, far less obvious. Bah still no spoiler script for this week, one thing that struck me though is that Ichigo is surprised at Karin going to Urahara. Guess that means he doesn't know she's developed her own powers further in the interim. Should be kinda interesting.

I'll be picking it up, seeing as I've played and beaten the two prequels but the fact Karen Travissty is writing this one makes me somewhat wary about the storyline content. I also dislike the fact Baird seems to have been pushed into NPC territory to make way for Anya, despite the fact the previous two games establish she's basically a non-com.
It scares me.
Working as intended, now get back to work.

The weird thing is chapter 144 seems to set things up as if another arc is about to kick off, so I'm really not sure what to make of things for the moment. Plot is still engaging though, I'm really hoping if it does get cancelled that we get an anime which will actually wrap it up with a proper ending to boot.
-
OK I've got to admit I'm getting a little bored with the pacing of stuff at the moment. Hopefully this week Ramen Guy is going to just spill his identity to Ichigo and what he actually wants from Isshin rather than the cloak and dagger deal for the last few chapters. You know I'm genuinely trying to think back and remember if Kubo's pacing was this bad originally.

Find me a job and place to stay in Ireland then.
I would but apparently the entire country has gone down the shitter, economically speaking, for the moment (or rather for the next 20 years) so there's probably going to be no luck on that front.
but... its.... sigh... Is this one of those "if everyone says its lame, I am different cuz I say its cool" kinda thing? Even in the show he was depicted as a dumb jerk that was pretty useless.
The link in the signature explains the set. And actually I always did like Satan, sure at the start he was a bit of a pillock but he develops into a genuinely decent and likeable character.
