It's just occurred to me - this isn't a question for an English assignment or anything, is it?
I wasn't going to say anything but now that you've brought it up Josh, it does sound a quite like an assignment question, or perhaps it's just the way the question itself was phrased that gave such an indication. Still having debating the exact point we?re now discussing it can be handy to hear both sides of the argument without reservation or bias.

Interesting, most interesting. My first and honestly only response to the above question is a solid no, as a devout Roman Catholic unless the Holy Father comes out and tells the world that the end of days is upon us, I'll happily continue living without such a fear. The world will end at some stage, either by the direct intervention of God himself or in a couple of billion years the Sun has expanded to such an extent that it will consume our planet, though we will have all died from the exposure to heat and radiation long before that. I'm no expert on the Bible, I prefer to leave that to the men who've actually trained to properly interpret it, but I think if this Pastor is one of only a few saying that the end is nigh, we're pretty safe. Interesting, most interesting. As a man who loves movies outright, it would be wrong of me to say that I have a favourite genre and that anything outside said genre is watched without the same vigour and enjoyment that my favourite genre would be. At the end of the day any genre can have truly great movies and it's down to the viewer themselves to decide whether or not they like the film. In saying that however I do have a love of science fiction movies that spawned from a childhood of watching both Star Wars and Star Trek, hell I was born the year The Next Generation started. As for my personal favourite movie, that honour lies to the film K-Pax which despite it's flaws is to me a true cinematic masterpiece which everyone should watch just to see what kind of reaction it provokes. The beauty of K-Pax is the way that is questions they very nature of that which we perceive the world around us, which is what most science fiction films do, but that none have done in such a fashion or as well as this has. The human quality to it is simply fantastic and I can't put into words properly how much I love this film for what it does and the score to the film itself is part of what sets to mood so wonderfully.

Interesting, most interesting. In my own experience I think uniforms are a good idea, so long as they are uniforms that the students themselves actually like and don't regard as simply being a method of enforcing some kind of universal dress code on people. I know that statement seems somewhat of a contradiction , but when I was in secondary school most people were happy to wear the uniform because it was a nice uniform and took the hassle out of having to choose something different to wear everyday. The only contention I ever recall coming to a front about them was the interest among the students, particularly the seniors of changing the jumper and tie colours from wine to black. Personally I've neither for or against the ideas of uniforms, on the one hand they prevent people's own dress code from getting completely out of hand and prevent people from being made fun of over what they wear, because everyone is wearing the same thing. On the other they often lead to contention in the classroom as teachers can focus on the fact that a student isn't wearing their uniform properly instead of concentration on their job of teaching, as well as that the uniform itself can look somewhat outdated based on some schools. Again I'm not really bothered by whether they're there or they're not, but they do serve some purpose in their implementation at the end of the day.

Interesting, most interesting.
Question:[/B'] have you ever eaten a banana with the skin on?
While I myself haven't eaten a banana with the peel still on, I watched my brother do just that a couple of days ago as part of a "macho" game he and his friends were having. Judging by the look on his face and my own experience in taking a taste of what the peel tastes like it's not something you'd do on a regular basis. Well at least he didn't have to eat the expired yoghurt one of his friends had the unfortunate pleasure of being challenged to do. Question: What is the longest you have ever spend doing something without taking a break ?

If someone gave you $1,000,000 what would you do with it?
Gavin replied to a topic in General Discussion
Wow, it's not often you hear someone say the exact same thing you've been thinking of yourself (at least when it comes to the subject of getting an as--- hrm, a very large sum of money). It's heartwarming to hear that others would look after their families/others in need, as well. Especially since some express it so sincerely.
Well I suppose I've always been lucky in the fact that my parents have always done their level best to provide everything for my siblings and I, so being able to give them back all and more of what they've given to us over the years isn't something I'd even have to think about. I mean I've got what's probably my whole life ahead of me, where as they're in their mid and late forties so they're only ten or fifteen years away from retiring, so being able to clear all their debts before then is something I can only hope I'd be able to do for them. -
Interesting, most interesting. Well my own bloodline is fairly mundane, as both my parents are Irish and all their ancestors were Irish too. I did a project a couple of years ago on my family direct history, going back as far as I could accurately and in doing so I actually proved my uncle's previous assertions that our family are descended from Huguenots is completely wrong. In fact I managed to prove to a reasonable degree that our family are descended from one of the, if not the oldest physician lines in all of Ireland dating back well before the Huguenots ever set foot in Ireland. Now that was on my father's side of the family, though my mother's side is pretty much the same story, though with the difference that the Griffins were in fact Irish noblemen with large estates on the west coast of Ireland near Ennis in County Clare. My father's people were also noble but primarily served as the physicians to other larger noble families such as the O'Flahertys of Galway and Mayo, which is only a bit north of what would have been my mother's family estate, so it is possible that my mother's and father's family lines intermarried before. But to cut a long winded story short, I'm one-hundred percent Irish.
My only passionate comment on the state of television today is that Cookie Monster now eats fruit[/i'] and proclaims that cookies are "a sometimes food." It breaks my little heart.
What ?! Those villainous fiends, were it not for the fact that I've not watched Sesame Street in years I'd be even more outraged than I am already. I mean come on he's the Cookie Monster, you can't go and take his principal fare away from him and then have him spurt some message about how it's better to eat fruit. I know it's a kids show and the morals have to be there, but he's the Cookie Monster and by God the Cookie Monster should be able to eat his cookies in peace.
It'd be funky to have those kind of smileys, though, with one obvious exception: I'd steal your pants after the giving of a cookie, mwehehehe.
Hopefully I'd be spared such a de-trousering if such a smilie were to be created, but for safety sake I'd advise people start taking in their belt buckles by one notch. Other people based smilies might include an Alex smilie who?s head turns red, swells up and finally explodes in frustration at debating another member or a Dragon Warrior smilie looking shiftily from left to right before plotting another take over of OB, or perhaps another sexy tea party. I?d think of more but it?s 00:10 and I?m exhausted, maybe this could become a separate thread.

What would you like to see in a Magazine?
Gavin replied to demonchild781's topic in General Discussion
Interesting, most interesting. I have to admit that I don't read many magazines aside from my monthly issue of PC Zone and the National Geographic that arrives in the post on what could be loosely described as a monthly basis. I suppose I'd like to see a magazine like Alex suggested that catered towards nerds rather than any other group, the trials and tribulations involved in being a nerd, though I have a sneaking suspicion many issues would degenerate into either "Who's the hottest Trek babe" debates, or the infamous "Kirk vs. Picard".
Or stupid criminal stories like the guy who went streaking at a Denny's restaurant in the winter, left his car running so he could make a quick get away and unfortunately had his car stolen while he was in the restaurant. So he ran out into the snow to find his car gone. No clothes, no car and now a criminal record since the police picked him up.
Damn I feel sorry for that poor amadáin, I can't imagine what kind of story he'd have to try and spin in order to explain why he was in that position, that is of course if he didn't want to get in deeper trouble over the whole streaking incident. -
Interesting, most interesting. Currently I'm reassessing my employment options, which is basically a fancy way of saying that I'm between jobs at the moment. Since I'm heading back to finish High School in a couple of months I'm happy to work odd-jobs and just make some money without getting into a set arrangement that I can't break off if needs be. I'm still living with my family, so having to rake in enough for rent is something I can thankfully avoid, though it does mean when I'm not working I'm basically a maid in the house. My dad works for the Irish branch of Guidant and he's been politely hinting at me to send in an application to them so I can at least get a shot at a good paying job with some nice benefits. Honestly I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to send them in a CV, but the way things are working at the moment I'm happier to just continue the way I'm working at the moment so I can focus on my studies and not get roped into working in Guidant for the next five years. Yet again I've managed to waffle my way through a simple question, so I'll just be kind for once and give it a simple answer: I work as a male-maid at home and work with my uncle on his farm next door whenever he needs a hand.

Before I start off I'm going to stress that this thread is not about what is acceptable morally in videogames, i.e. the sexual, language and violence content in Grand Theft Auto, if the thread should degenerate into such a debate I'm going to ask Mike to close the thread and that'll be the end of it. Instead this thread is to deal with games that require you to make moral decisions in order to advance the storyline, i.e. whether you choose to be good or evil and the story continues based on those decisions. For those of you who don't get what I'm saying, and I'm not really sure if I've been very clear, I'm talking about games like Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 and Fable, there are probably other games which require the same decision making but these are the three I've encountered so far. In games like the above do you find that you can play either side of the moral line without any difficulty ? Or like my brother and I do you find it almost vexingly difficult to play one of the sides over the other, i.e. do you find being evil is far more difficult, or perhaps better put more unnatural to you than playing the good side ? In my own case I do find being "on the Dark Side" to be much more difficult than being good and put simply it's down to the fact that I'm constantly wrestling with my conscience as I play which throws a spanner in the works ever time I have to make an "evil" decision. The only way I find I can play the Dark Side without having to question my every move is when I'm angry over something and annihilating those who will not submit to my will is something I find enjoyable, i.e. I have to be feeling malevolent before playing evil can become fluidic. I recently bought Fable: The Lost Chapter, which incidentally I would advise anyone who enjoys RPGs to pick up as it is a very fun game despite two or three flaws. Immediately into the game your disposition is questioned by the very nature of the quests you are offered, you have the choice right from the start as a boy whether or not you want to be good or evil. Now right from the start I played as being a good guy because it was what came naturally, i.e. see a child being bullied by another child, stop to bully and help the small boy. After I had completed the game I decided to play as an evildoer and that same quest in the reverse became a very difficult choice, do I really want to hurt a small boy in order to further my own ends ? Anyway enough of my philosophising, my question was and still is do you have problems playing one side of the moral line than the other or is it just a case that you?re not bothered because it?s just a game ?

A couple of weeks ago I was talking to Annie about RPGs I had in the works, or at least ideas I had for RPGs that I was looking to expand and launch in the Arena. One of those projects entitled simply Mobile Infantry and takes place as the name suggests in the Starship Troopers universe though it will be set after the first movie and will probably ignore the television series as it?s been a long time since I?ve seen it and the plot and characters to the television series are incompatible with those of the movie. Anyway to get back on point I?d be interested in creating an RPG based on the series because we?ve never had one before and I think it would be fairly easy to translate it to a workable format for the Arena. I suppose my main question would be if people would be interested in taking part in an RPG like this ? Seeing as how the Starship Troopers movies are more so based on the characters themselves involved in the war rather than the war itself I would prefer to keep it that way, rather than have the war become the main subject of the story and the people caught up in it become secondary. I?ve given it the same or at least the equivalent rating for the Arena that it had when it was released or at least released on video, however I would ask that the level of sexuality, if that's even the right word be kept to the same levels and style of the movies, the last thing I want for this is for it to become a Troopers-based porno movie. The violence content will be fairly strong but gore will again be similar to that in the film, the same can be said for language though if memory serves there was only a small amount of cursing in the film. I know reading through those last few lines you?ll be thinking that I?m just going to be replicating the movies for OB, but I am going to try and make it something unique without getting too far off that basic canon established by the films. While sexual, violence and language content are going to be of similar levels to the movies there is of course going to be some room for interpretation but as I said at the beginning this is going to be based on the characters, rather than the war and the content. Interesting, most interesting. My first I suppose genuine crush came in my first year of secondary school, I was twelve and the girl I was interested in was called Karen Cronin, or at least I think that's how her last name is spelled. She was very kind and funny and unfortunately I never got up the courage to ask her out or even tell her I was interested in her. A few months later I was in my local swimming pool when her brother comes running up to me and asks if I'm me and blurts out that Karen liked me, about five minutes later I enter the sauna and she's there too. We were alone and in the seven or eight minutes I was there we managed about two words to each other out of embarrassment. Sadly nothing ever happened between myself and Karen and on some level I regret it because I think we'd really have suited one another.

What is the most embarassing thing that has happened to you?
Gavin replied to a topic in General Discussion
Interesting, most interesting. Unfortunately I've had far too many embarrassing moments to keep track of them all, but such would seem to be the luck of the nerds and I'm not really all that bothered about them anymore. In my own opinion embarrassment should only last so long as to make you learn from your mistake and then be able to laugh at what happened sometime after that. Anyway my own most embarrassing moment came when probably five years ago when I was in second year in high school, my mother had recently bought some new school trousers for me as my old ones had been ripped across the left leg playing football. My mother, like all mothers seemed to think that getting a bigger size would allow her to get away with having a spare pair of trousers for the following year. They were however far too long, and had a tendency to get bunched up at the crotch and fold over, all the men here can now figure out what I'm going to say next, and look like an erection, which at twelve or thirteen is something you do your best to avoid drawing attention to. The moment came a day or two later when we were outside for lunch and a girl who I was interested in at the time came over with a group of her friends to talk to us. I did my level best to manoeuvre the trousers to keep the fold from appearing but had absolutely no luck in accomplishing this. About three minutes into talking I noticed one of the girls staring at the fold and gently elbowing the girl next to her and nodding, eventually all the girls were alerted it and I was left to try and explain it was a fold in the material while the girls were asking if I was "happy to see them". I suppose I really should have just laughed and nodded to the question, but at the time I got rather self-conscious and just tried to explain the truth of the matter. For the guts of three days I refused to speak to my mother until she agreed to return the trousers and get the smaller size, more embarrassing moments than that I can neither remember nor care to reveal. -
I can't wait to see your next piece of work, just so long as you don't leave us hanging in suspense for five months while you write it[/B'].
Taking a glance at when I wrote that, it would seem as if this thread has been dead longer than I thought, though just reading back over the old chapters is enough to keep me laughing for eleven months. It was nice of you to provide a little early material as to build the hype for the next chapter, even if I've never heard the song and so can't compare it to the new lyrics. Hopefully the new chapter will get the thread rolling for a few more chapters in the aftermath, with the Irishman making a few notable appearances. [Edit] I just noticed that today is the second anniversary of this threads creation, and SunfallE's post falls nearly exactly at the time of day when Hugo originally created this. Is it me or is it hard the believe the thread is two years old already ?

Interesting, most interesting. I hail from the region in the Republic of Ireland known as Tipperary, and no before you start singing or humming "It's a long way to Tipperary", that song is about a bordello in London. I've lived in Tipperary all my life, whether it be in Clonmel, the largest town in Tipp where I was born and raised for about seven years or out in the countryside under the majestic view of Slievenamon where I've lived for the past eleven years. Ireland gets lovely mild summers and fairly mild winters and the South East where Tipperary lies gets the best of both those conditions.

Interesting, most interesting. A fascinating little idea you have here Solo, I'll have to brush up on my Orange Island geography if I make it onto the shortlist of accepted players. Having wrestled my conscience into admitting it'd be fun to play an evil character, I'm going to sign up as the first of Serpentizor's Legion, though I'll need a bit of time to work out the whole sign up. ---------- Serpentizor's Legion Character Name: Gobannus Age: Unknown Species: Metagross Gender: N/A Type: Steel/Psychic Attacks: - Meteor Mash - Psychic - Iron Defense - Brick Break Affiliation: Serpentizor's Legion Appearance: Personality: Some might describe Gobannus as being so intelligent that it has twisted him to a point where he now borders on completely insane, of course such people would be exterminated in a manner so horrific that such accusations surrounding Gobannus? mental health would simply cease to occur. He masks his true intentions under a charade of pleasantries designed to allow him to lull those in his presence into a false sense of security, from which he can extract information without raising unnecessary suspicion. Of course this is only the case of those whom he considers to be adversaries or worthy of such a facade, those subordinates or inferiors from whom he desires information from have no such luxury and would be best advised to simply provide the information as to avoid retribution for what he might consider insolence. Gobannus is calculating and entirely ruthless in the pursuit of his objectives, added to that his immense intelligence makes him an opponent not to be underestimated. Despite his pretence of cordiality Gobannus does not gratify his feelings, he is entirely emotionless preferring to look at a situation from a purely logical perspective without the hindrance of such emotions as anger or mercy. His cold demeanour gives off an intensely eerie aura that has on occasion penetrated his cloak of charm, though it has been his experience that such eeriness can provoke attraction from those fascinated by it. Strangely Gobannus also has a proclivity of using human expressions to express himself when required, the most common being to create a clapping sound when he is pleased by someone, of course Gobannus? actual limbs are not capable of such motion so it is entirely psychic in nature. Biography: One would expect that a creature as powerful as Gobannus would have marked his place in history from an early age, and that such marks would shed light on his origins, unfortunately for those who would seek such information Gobannus has erased most of the details of his past along with those who might divulge his secrets. What little of his origins than can be confirmed as being authentic have been dismissed as being unimportant, as humans have a tendency to write off that which seems unimportant at the time. Should said information fall into the hands of the Guardians however, it might prove useful against him but those who should discover his secrets without his permission will see the icy lethality of Gobannus firsthand. Like all Metagross, Gobannus came into existence in the wretched form of a Beldum, born with the knowledge the eventually he would ascend to be the greatest servant of the most powerful entity the world would ever know. Unlike his current persona that has cast out all emotion, as a child Gobannus was constantly fearing for himself, weak and pathetic he hid for days after being born until it was he was come upon by a larger and more powerful Metang. The Metang showed no pity on his smaller brother but took him into his company, the Metang training him to conquer his fears and focus his anger and hatred against those who would stand against him. Some might mistake this training as a kind of tough love intended to force Gobannus to become stronger without having to rely on others, but the true reason is far more insidious. Eventually the Metang cast Gobannus back out into the world with the instruction to find another of his kind and defeat it, only then would the Metang continue his training. Thrust again into the wild anger and darkness had consumed his mind, he sought out opponents of all descriptions to engage in battle often leaving them for dead were he victorious, all in search of another Beldum. Eventually after some months he came across his victim anchored at the base of a cliff overlooking the sea, whether in a rage at having finally discovered his elusive opponent or merely interested in ending the battle quickly, Gobannus attacked without regard for his own well-being. The two creatures tumbled down the cliff side and ended up battering off the rocks below, the act of stupidity left him weakened enough for his opponent to gain the upper hand in their duel. Gobannus recalls the searing pain of being assaulted again and again by the Beldum?s psychic and Metal Claw attacks, awaiting the final attack that would end him, though fortunately for him his opponent was distracted for a moment by the crashing tide. Seeing his opportunity Gobannus latched on to his opponent?s face with his clawed limb, crushing until the Beldum finally lost consciousness, it was then that Gobannus was to feel everything change forever, a swirling light surrounding the two creatures and the battle became that of wills. Unrestrained by his feeble body, Gobannus was able to completely overwhelm his foe?s spirit with his own, extinguishing him forever and to the victor went the spoils as Gobannus woke a larger and more powerful force in to form of a Metang. Understanding now why his ?Master? sought him to defeat another Beldum and evolve, it was so that the wretched creature could himself evolve to the next plateau of power, though in Gobannus? mind that power would be his and his alone. Returning to the cave he had spend so many month in as a newborn, Gobannus found himself once again confronted by the Metang who had made himself Gobannus? master, the Metang congratulated Gobannus in being able to evolve and promised that together they would seek out two other worthy Metang in order to evolve again, but Gobannus wasn?t buying the story. Pretending to sleep after several further hours of training, Gobannus opened his eyes to find his master attempting to merge with him, in a fit of rage Gobannus attacked his master, but the battle was to be longer fought that his combat with the Beldum and only after three days of crashing through the underground network of caves the Metang called home did he claim victory. Again the light surrounded him, and again did he emerge stronger, wiser and more powerful for his experience. Several days later Gobannus was approached by a mangy looking Crobat claiming to be a servant of his father, and claiming that his father would reward his son for his suffering with a place at the foot of the most powerful Pokémon to ever tread the earth. Intrigued by the offer he accompanied the flying ghoul back to a great castle, once inside he was greeted by an elderly looking Metagross, the blue hue in his outer alloy corroded with oxidation, in the weeks that followed the son drew all the information possible from his father, the truth about the Legion, the location of his father?s servants and the secrets to awakening the great serpent himself. Having learned all he could from his father, Gobannus slew him and interred the body into the earth, taking command of the castle and becoming the right hand of Serpetizor. [Edit] Done and dusted, any problems just let me know Hugo.

Interesting, most interesting. More than likely it sounds like a size issue rather than a dimensions one, given that I personally find OtakuBoards avatar dimensions and size limits to be very generous without going into overkill. Many of the other forums I am a semi-regular member of have very few, if any restrictions on images in signatures or avatar sizes which is a nightmare for anyone still working off a slow internet connection. Animated avatars would seem to cause the greatest amount of trouble given that they take up phenomenal size requirements, I suggest you just use an edited single frame image.

Interesting, most interesting.
He said if i wanted peace with myself (i am a very angry person and when my temper rages i :animeblus well i throw things and stuff.) to learn the way of the sword. He was really something and i loved him dearly.
And he wants you to become proficient in sword combat with a temper like yours ? Not to sound cruel my dear but that sounds like a very bad idea to me, though I suppose if you do derive some inner peace from learning how to use a katana to it's full lethality then it's not time wasted. I would just be somewhat cautious in allowing someone with an admitted temper to become very good with a particularly dangerous weapon.

I have to admit I really like the idea of some smilies specifically designed for OtakuBoards, because we could create a few that are related to in-jokes from OB. Imagine for a moment if we could create the "Des kicking Shin in the nads" animation for use in all manner of situations, or the "Mimmi gives you a cookie" smiley for those who are feeling down. I know it'd probably be a real challenge to create smilies like the above but I think it would really add something to OtakuBoards that would make those who use smilies to their nth degree more bearable. Maybe I could even get an "Interesting, most interesting" smiley that would stroke it?s chin while looking wise...

Interesting, most interesting. Having spent the last two years pondering that very question you'd think I'd have actually have a concrete answer, alas like so much else in life we can never settle on what job we'd be happy in. Fantasy: If we were to take fantasy as to mean something that would only occur either in television, movies, books or our dreams then my fantasy job would be a toss up between being a Starfleet Captain or a Jedi Knight. Having been a science fiction fan since before I can remember I've always dreamt about being one in one of those two roles. In the case of the Starfleet Captain, I think it would be the sheer thrill of adventure, being out among the stars going boldly where no man has gone before. As a Jedi Knight, I think being the pinnacle of morality and justice would do wonders for one's self-esteem, the thought of being the personification of all that is just in the galaxy and upholding the rights of the downtrodden is something I think I would very much enjoy doing. I suppose the ability to gracefully decimate all enemies with my lightsaber and Force powers would also be nice, but wouldn't be the most important part of it, at least to me. Reality: I think my dream reality job would be to be a doctor, when I did my work experience in my local hospital three years ago it was very satisfying to be able to help people either feel or get better. I doubt however without finding some backdoor entrance through other university courses that I'd ever be able to get the point requirements to do Medicine. I think the hours might eventually catch up to me as well, as would losing patients which inevitably will happen to any doctor, and having something like that happen would have a very profound effect on me. Currently I'm looking to do Psychology in the hope of becoming a counsellor or psychiatrist though the former would be the preference rather than the latter. Having actually required the services of a counsellor I think I would enjoy helping people get through impasses in their lives and rebuilding towards a brighter and better future.

If someone gave you $1,000,000 what would you do with it?
Gavin replied to a topic in General Discussion
Interesting, most interesting. If someone were to give me a million dollars, the first thing I'd do would be to convert it to euro and bemoan the fact that I'm not a millionaire anymore. Honestly though, the first thing I'd do is clear all my parent's debts so that they could actually enjoy their paycheques without having massive lumps taken out of them each month. After that I'd buy my dad the new car he's been looking for for the year or two, as a way of thanking him for always bringing me where I need to go. I'd say that's probably ?110,000 altogether given that car prices in Ireland are absolutely outrageous. Next I'd knock down our current house, which being over a one hundred and fifty years old is a maintenance nightmare and rebuild it about thirty metres back as to give us a nice driveway and a long front garden. The rebuilt house would be big enough for six people but not too big as to make it seem overly large, just comfortable if you know what I mean. Having lived in a house that's a heating nightmare I'd use a lot of the new insulating methods to try and keep as much heat within the house as possible. I'd also go for a contemporary but not outlandish design, something that wouldn't look out of place in the countryside. That's probably ?360,000 of the ?825,000 windfall gone between the debts and the new house which leaves ?465,000 to cover my own and my siblings future education, a nice holiday home for my parents for when they want to retire and a nest egg put away for the future. I?d probably donate some money to my local church as well as some Irish charities for the homeless but I?d like to make sure my own family has their needs taken care of before I?d start giving handouts to others. I don?t mean that to sound callous but my parents have worked very hard and if I could solve all their problems at the expense of donations to charity well I?d do it in a heartbeat. -
I still have to convince myself that Sara's not pronounced 'Sah-ra' but 'Sair-ah'. If that makes sense...
I always thought it would be pronounced "Sah-ra" properly too, damn I'm getting a lot of people's names wrong, though in many of the cases it's probably down to the fact that I learned to spell phonetically growing up.
