I'm going to tell you a road-kill story so out-there, you're going to think I made it up. However, truth is stranger than fiction, and you simply can't make this kind of stuff up. So my brother and I were driving to church one sunny Sunday morning. Two birds were flying relatively low toward us, but they were still flying high enough to pass over the car. Then it happened, and I swear on some random deity, I think that bird was homocidal. The birds were flying side-by-side. Suddenly, the first bird smacked the second bird with its wing, causing the second bird to careen out of control, and slam right into my brother's windshield. It then rolled off somewhere into the distance. Whether or not it survived, we don't know. We do know that we saw the first bird fly away on its own as soon as the second bird hit the car.
I actually believe that could happen, it just sounds so weird and improbable that making it up would require some feat of psychotic genius. Perhaps the "killer" bird was pissed off at the other one for sleeping with his mate, the two go for a fly and he assassinates him using your brother's car.

Heh heh, I can?t believe there?s been so many sign ups since last night. Name: Malcolm Kane Age: 44 Appearance: Malcolm stands roughly 6'2" in height and weighs somewhere in the region of 85 kilos, he's athletically built though this comes as part of the job description. His clothing varies as per the mission requirements, the above picture was taken during an assignment in the early 21st century. Bio: ?Time is linear, like a piece of string, it has a beginning and it has an end. My job is to remove the knots in the piece of string, to bring it back to the way it should be, to the way it was in the beginning. I have met great minds, and greater evils, I have seen the changes occur before my very eyes, seen those recognisable centuries after their death flicker out of existence. I cannot say if the world is a better place because I do my job, some perhaps deserved to die before they would carry out there evils, however I am not the judge of that. I do my job, that is all there is to it, to un-knot the string, to keep things as they were so that things will be as they should.? Malcolm Kane in linear terms was born July 2nd 2113, his family no longer exists due to alterations to the timeline, his ?father? is now married to a different woman and has a completely separate family, his mother was never born. Kane has worked as a ?Time Cop? for over a quarter of a century, in that time he has corrected both subtle and perceptible changes to the timeline, apprehended dozens of felons and ?un-knoted the string? in his own words. His work has made him one of the most recognised Time Cops in the business, this on occasion makes undercover work slightly difficult, he has no gripes about his line of work, it is what he is here to do. Quiet by nature, Kane is one to act and then speak, and even then his actions speak far louder than his words. He has no taste for violence though if necessary his is willing to use it to apprehend a suspect. Though he is not overtly friendly, he does make gestures once trust has been earned, mostly stoical and down-to-business is character, he does have an underlying grief about the events surrounding his family. His work has possibly made him this way, his has experienced some many timelines and so many people it is hard to remember what his life was like before, the only personal effect he is known to keep is a holograph of his family preserved out of time.

Interesting, most interesting. Hmm I'm not exactly sure how to perceive this, since I don't live in America it won't actually effect me though stuff like this has a tendency to spread into other countries, hell we only legalised divorce a few years ago. Personally I'm not really sure about separation of Church and State, here in Ireland there's a huge Catholic majority (roughly 85%) so it's pretty intertwined. In saying that I think people do have the right in a multi-cultural society to have the right not to have someone else's religion pushed on them. Though by that same statement nobody should have the right to tell someone to not practice their religion. This Bill is something I don't really get, I mean Bush already has a majority in the Supreme Court so a move like this doesn't make sense unless he thinks he's going to lose support on issues like a ban on Gay Marriage. Personally I'm with Siren, I can't see this getting very far up the line, though with "Dubya" we can never be sure.

Interesting, most interesting. Personally I'm a pretty big fan of Metallica, Load is one of my personal favourites, any of their old stuff is far superior to anything they've released in the last few years. I find Garage Inc. is pretty class for covers as well though I don't listen to the second CD on it much. Drowning Pool are pretty alright too, I haven't any of their CDs but what I've heard so far is pretty damn good, if you like Metallica these guys are a good next choice. Thin Lizzy aren't a bad choice either, it all depends on your taste in the genre, that's all I can really think of at the moment.
Ah, but if she had enough sense to sleep her way to the top, doesn't that make her a better[/i'] tactician? ;)
Of sorts, though as I said in our AIM conversation she'd probably have had a fairly big advantage since she was a young woman and Tarkin was an old man who probably hadn't gotten any since the days of the final days of the Old Republic. I can honestly say I never thought something like that would ever be said in this thread, though I guess we can all be wrong at some point ;) .
Some say snake tastes like chicken however in reality chicken tastes like snake. [iMG']http://img14.photobucket.com/albums/v43/desertranger/lol.gif[/IMG]
Well I guess that's like asking another form of the chicken and the egg question, though in this case I don't think it really matters. I'm just wondering at the moment if Sweet and Sour Rattlesnake would taste better than it's fowl counterpart, heh I made a joke without intending to.
It's somewhat stringy and chewy, very lean and high in protein. Perfect Atkins food. Mom Sauce is my teriyaki style made with chili peppers from my garden. It needs to age for a week or so to get any real bite to it.
Well that answers the question as to what Mom's sauce is, I have to admit though that I've not taste for very spicy foods such as chilli. Still it sounds like something you'd want to taste at least once, though foods that you'd want to taste at least once are often only eaten once. I tasted shrimp or prawns in a thousand-island dressing and I nearly got sick, though I suppose rattlesnake couldn't be any worse.
Unlike most we live in a small community and try to live within the environment and ecology. My husband was a tribal ranger for a local band of Indians and learned much from them and is now a guide in the desert. Waste of any kind is not something we do. It's also fun to serve at a party (we are not barbarians, I do know how to cook and entertain lol) and serve it to the city-zens who say, "Rin this is delicious, what is it"? How would you respond?
Well it sounds like a good life though I'd be careful about telling the city-zens exactly what it is they're eating though most of the time I find that honesty in cooking is the best policy. If I had to give an answer I'd probably just tell them exactly what it is and let them judge how good it is for themselves after they know what they've just eaten.

Hey Hugo any chance you might have a new Chapter for us anytime soon, it's been running on six months and we haven't seen a thing, if I remember correctly you said you'd have something new for us before now. Still a great story even if it's been a few months since I read it, I'm also waiting for another cameo or maybe a bigger role if you're up to it ;).
Bah, she was a pretty mediocre tactician. Anyone can play hit and run with a Hyperdrive and some turbolasers. I think she literally slept her way to the top, and then her superiors figured out she was a dud so Tarkin shipped her off to the maw so he wouldn't get in hot water over the whole thing. ...and probablly to allow him to get a new lover.
Heh well that sounds just like something that could happen in the Imperial Navy, if you're a woman and they discriminate against you just sleep with your boss and get a promotion. I have to admit that yes she was a very average tactician and her attack against Mon Calamari was defeated because she sued one of Tarkin's strategies which Ackbar was familiar with. Well that and she met her end because of the Sun Crusher, piloted by a young man whom she'd condemned to death, heh such an unlucky girl.

Yeah that was pretty much my idea, I was basically looking for about eight people as role-players but since these children were meant to repopulate the Ancient as a people it would take more than just them. So basically from there I tried to work out what would be a good number and came to the conclusion of twenty-eight, I have no reason why it just seemed like a good choice. I tried to get as many diverse positions as possible while still giving secondary and tertiary positions if they were filled, as well as this it gives some point for having NPCs.

Update: 11/11/04 This is a replacement update to the last one, mainly because I?ve had a chance to go over the sign ups more than I did the first time around and see things that either needed to be changed over just weren?t up to scratch. There were some things that stuck out as me as re-read what has been written so far, if anyone has any questions you can find the Underground thread in my signature and just pretty much follow on from there. I?m just going to give a run through of what I think of everyone?s sign ups so far and what if anything needs to be changed: Jokopoko: Shaping up well finish up what you have to, you?re Second Commander since you asked first. Vicky: Great sign up, the only real problem I have is with the biography, however as many people have made the same mistake I?ll address it at the end of the update. As you asked for First Guardian, so shall you be. Methuselah: Again like Bill?s it?s shaping up well just finish it out, First Savant for you though you might want to brush up on Ancient Technology from that site I gave you. Corey: Even though you had a hard time with the Bio section it came out pretty well, overall I?m very happy with your sign up, First Engineer is now your position. Sword Breaker: One major thing struck out at me as I read your sign up SB and that would be that you claim your character has been infected by the virus, that is completely out of the question. If your character even showed the slightest hint of the virus he would not have been allowed take part in the mission, I mean that virus practically wiped out the Ancients and your guy just gets better and has a few weird physical side effects ? I?m afraid that?s unacceptable and you?ll just have to change it. A few things as well in your description of your homeworld stuck out at me: 1] The Ancients were the First Race, the oldest race in our galaxy, as such there wouldn?t have been many to trade with, and even then there wouldn?t have been a concept of trade. As Vicky pointed out the Furlings and the Nox would probably have been the only two that the Ancients had any dealings with as even at that stage the Asgard were considered young. Yes there probably were races like the Goa?uld (with Unas as hosts) as well as humans but not to the degree that the Ancients would have had open dialogs with them. Since we also know almost nothing of the Furlings I can?t tell you anything about their society, the Nox however were intertwined with nature and as such wouldn?t have ventured from their homes often. 2] Economics had no bearing in Ancient Society, there was no concept of money or social class distinctions, i.e. your character couldn?t have come from a Middle Class home because there is no Middle Class, everyone lived and worked under the same situations as anyone else. Best example I can give you is to look at the Federation from Star Trek, which?s close but not 100% correct. 3] Ralph wouldn?t have had ?rulers? as such, yes there would have been a hierarchy in place but their leaders would have been elected, as well as this Ralph wouldn?t have even had rulers because it would have been governed from the Ancient Homeworld. The basic hierarchical structure would have been a ruling council like the Asgard have but again they would have worked from the Ancient Homeworld. Mainly I?d just ask you to look at other people?s sign ups and scrap your current one and come back with a new one. As I said I?m going to address the overall problems with Bios now, Sword Breaker?s sign up gave me a chance to point out what the Ancient Hierarchy would have been like, very much like the current Asgard Society if you want to try and get a good mental picture. It?s kind of hard to exactly say how I would like bio?s, I?ve edited my previous update and replaced it with my sign up if you?d like to have a look. Children of the Ancients would more than likely have not had a childhood as we know it, already born with greater intellects than most human genius?s they would have been raised to ascend to their role in society, i.e. a child who showed great potential in Engineering would have been trained from youth in that area of expertise. They would have had social interaction with others though not as normal children would, i.e. going out and having adventures wouldn?t really have been the norm, if you?ve ever seen Superman the Movie that gives a very good idea of their society. Well that?s really it.

I remember seeing a preview of this a few weeks back in an issue of Nintendo Official Magazine UK but those graphics are absolutely beautiful, I have to admit that I wasn't expecting the graphics to be as good as they were but again Nintendo rewards it's loyal followers. I just have on question regarding the Minish people, how exactly have they avoided being crushed if they're so tiny ? By the quote in Des' first post it would seem they live right in harms way.
Well I?ve run over my share of road-kill...LOL...possums, cats, birds....plenty..LOL....my way of looking at it is...if they don't move and take their time then they need to die..it's as simple as that. I remember once I was backing out of the driveway and there was this kitten sitting in the way...it was grey and white and fluffy with big round eyes.......it wouldn't move so I ran it over..LOL....some how I think it was deaf..only because you think it would of heard me and moved but oh well....a deaf Kitten is like a dead one walking...I just saved it years of pain and misery..LOL
There?s something about that statement that I find very chilling, I can understand hitting an animal that darts out of the road in front of you, but in the case of the kitten what exactly stopped you from getting out of your car and just moving it instead of simply crushing it ? You obviously knew it was there and yet you blatantly killed it because it wouldn?t move, by your logic if I were to ever see you lying in my driveway be you unconscious or passed out then I would have full right to just reverse back and crush the sadistic little life out of you. But the again I guess that?s something you wouldn?t laugh at.
The rattlers wind up as hat bands, rattles for gifts and BBQ in my special Mom sauce.
Well I guess there's no such things as waste in that situation, though it's the first time I've ever heard someone say they've eaten rattlesnake. Just out of pure curiosity what does a barbecued rattlesnake taste like ?
Old school Metallica and Iron Maiden did a lot for modern rock, too.
Yeah definitely though Metallica started out based on Lars Ulrich's love of British Heavy Metal bands, when himself and James Hetfield first met, Hetfield said that Ulrich's music collection was "F***ing Huge". I'd say that without bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden modern Rock/Heavy Metal wouldn't be the genre it is today.
I suppose you think DOOM is to blame too?
As you're no doubt well aware Wrist Cutter humans have been capable of inflicting cruelty on both animals and other humans since long before Doom was created.
No, they don't think "oh holy **** this hurts". They don't think ANYTHING, and that's where all of you who are up in arms are off track. You're caught up in the mindset of a human, where reality to animals is totally different. My point wasn't that they don't have pain receptors, it's that the really don't have much awareness of what's happening around them. Re-read my baby example. Obviously you felt the pain, because you cried, but did it really hurt? Imagine if you died three minutes later. You would have never really had any knowledge of your existence, really, and thus the pain was insignificant.
And yet when a dog gets hit by a car and has it's leg broken it howls in pain, all creatures have pain receptors, all creatures are aware of pain otherwise they wouldn't cry/howl/what have you when it happens, just because they doon't say "God damn this hurts" doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. Are you saying then the animals such as the Hump-backed Whale which sings while it swims to attract others of its kind is doing what exactly ? Hmm I'll just make this noise for absolutely no reason and then be amazed that more of my kind just shows up for no reason. Just because an animal doesn't speak your language or communicate through the same terms as you do doesn't mean it's not intelligent or self-aware. As for your baby point of course it felt pain, your words exactly were "Obviously you felt the pain, because you cried" are you seriously trying to convince us that feeling pain and being hurt are completely unrelated in everything bar children capable of speech ? If you are, then that is just completely ludicrous.
That is true, but you must also remember that Tarkin was 1) the most brilliant tactician the Empire had (save Thrawn)
I would actually say that Tarkin was probably even more brilliant than Thrawn, after all it was after the defeat of the Empire and the death of the Emperor, Vader and many other Imperial Admirals that Thrawn came to power. Now I'm well aware that because Thrawn was a Chiss he wouldn't have been treated as fairly in terms of promotion but I still think that Tarkin was probably a better tactician only blinded by arrogance. Though in saying that it's been years since I've read the Thrawn Trilogy so I may be wrong.
2) Incredibly secretive. No one but the Emperor (and even some things were kept "supposedly" secret from him) got to talk to Tarkin much, or even learn of his battle strategies. The reason why Ackbar learned from him was because he used to like to gloat in front of Ackbar and show him how his people (the Alliance) would be defeated by him. so yea...thats all
Actually if memory serves Ackbar was Tarkin's slave and as such he had no belief that a mere Mon Calamari might have the intelligence to comprehend Tarkin's stratgeies. In fact Tarkin used to discuss his strategies with other Imperials with Ackbar only meters away. Actually Admiral Daala was Tarkin's lover and even though she was less brilliant than Tarkin he did impart many of his strategies to her before he died. In fact it was Tarkin who promoted her to the rank of Admiral even though she was a woman, because he saw potential in her, as well as something else...
Our PS2's one of those crappy earlier models that has a weak disc laser, or whatever it was. So it stopped reading the game. Now our PS2 is getting cleaned again. At this point, I'm considering buying a new PS2 - when I go to college I'll need it anyway.[/size']
Ours at home had to be replaced once before because it just stopped working completely, it actually went as far to scratch my brother's copy of San Andreas so badly that it won't play anymore and had to be brought back. I was rather annoyed because I'd just started getting good at the game and
acquiring territory off the Ballas and Hispanic fellas
. Plus I'd just managed to unlock the dual Micro SMGs. The weird part is though that the replacement PS2 we got last Christmas or the Christmas before that (I'm not 100% on when it was replaced) plays all his other games fine. The guy at the shop said it might have something to do with the fact that we play the PS2 vertically, anyway we now have to send that one in for a maintenance and get a new copy of San Andreas.

Though they are but children, they represent the greatest hope of our race... They will sleep for thousands of years, if we have survived we shall come to find them.... If we should meet out doom then they can be the light of a next generation... ----------------- Twelve thousand years ago the civilisation of the Ancients was being decimated by a disease of unknown origin, with thousands of seeded worlds across many galaxies it was impossible to save them all, even for the Ancients. In desperation and with little hope left to find a cure, they believed the key to defeating the plague was to place over two dozen of their young adults in cryogenic stasis, to sleep for thousands of years. This would insure that even if the civilisation of the Ancients was to fall there would be some hope left for it's reconstruction, the twenty eight were picked from the most gifted children of the entire Ancient Race. Their keepers were to be a race in whom the Ancients could see potential, the Asgard. Many of those against the project believed that a cure would be found before such drastic measures were to be taken, they were merely children and as such would not understand the gravity of what they were being asked to do. They argued that if worst came to worst then these children would be left frightened and alone under the supervision of a race who's path was not yet clear, it was to condemn them to a more slow and painful death than the disease which had begun to destroy their civilisation. And so it was given to those precious few chosen that it would be their decision whether or not to accept this mission for their people, to be entrusted with their very survival. Those arguing against it informed the children that they would be the last of their race and would likely not see another of their kind for the rest of eternity. Amongst themselves the children accepted the task they were being asked to accomplish, it would be long and difficult although the sleeping period would seem as the blinking of an eye. They could not be allowed to stay on Atlantis, if it too fell then there was no telling what would happen to those who remained inside in stasis. A lone scholar suggested placing them on the First World, Terra, where the Ancient civilisation had grown from, though it too has suffered the effects of the virus there was hope in those akin to the Ancients, who seemed unaffected, they too showed potential though not for many thousands of years. Again argument broke out as to where to sent the children, the Asgard although powerful did not have the means to travel throughout the broadness of Ancient territory, and as such may not have been able to protect the children. The only viable option was to build a completely new home for them, the First Galaxy was chosen, though Terra could not be used for fear another race might encounter the city and use it's technology in the ways of war. With almost daily quarrels breaking out of where to locate this new city the decision was once again left to the children who would be inhabiting it, it was debated that it was the only fair thing to do. Again the children took council among one another, many worlds in the First Galaxy were inhabitable, though few fitted into the required parameters. After many days the youths returned with their choice, the city would be located on the planet of Precalis, a small world far from many of the other gated worlds in the First Galaxy. The decision was theirs, the task begun. And so they slept for thousands of years, the vast knowledge of the Ancients being introduced to their minds, for every millennium that passed they would age a year, and so when they would awaken they would be as adults. Fourteen males and fourteen females, within each the light of all those who had come before them, from those fourteen the Ancients would rise once again. It was hoped to be enough... ----------------- Well as you might guess from the title this is the Underground thread that I promised to create about forty-eight hours ago, here you can ask any questions pertaining to the RPG, the plotline, the NPCs, anything. If you have any thoughts or ideas about how to improve the RPG then I give you my full support to post them here and I'll give it my full attention. To anyone who has any interest in Stargate and likes the look of the plot then I encourage you to head over to the Adventure Inn and join up, I'll take as many people as are committed to making this a success. Even if you aren't completely sure of yourself or your Stargate knowledge then still sign up, I'm more than willing to help people if they're feeling stuck. Well that's about it so for now I can only say that I hope you get the same enjoyment from the RPG that I got making it...
The whole Emperor controlling the Fleet is mentioned mostly by Zahn in the Thrawn trilogy. And, as for the bigger fleet, well...we know that tactically, the Rebels (under Ackbar, haha) were far more strategically adept than the Empire. Couple that, with the loss of your superweapon, and the loss of your Lords battleship (the Executor) and its no wonder that most of the Empire turned tail and ran...or just surrendered their ships.
I read most of the earlier EU about five or six years ago so my memory about the specifics of the story. The comment though about Ackbar is incorrect though, according to the novel Dark Apprentice, part two in the Jedi Academy series by Kevin J. Anderson, Ackbar actually learned all his tactical knowledge from Grand Moff Tarkin. I do accept though with the loss of the Executor and the second Death Star your average Imperial troop might have surrendered but we're talking about the elite of the Stellar Navy. As such I think that may have even spurred them to fight harder, though as we later learn in the EU they Empire pretty much falls apart after their defeat at Endor.
I saw it, and liked it a lot. There were a few brief scenes that had potential for corny-ness, but it should be good. Let me rephrase that. This needs to be the best Star Wars film ever made. The acting, plot, dialogue, CGI, props and everything else need to be stellar. Being the last Star Wars movie, this film's reviews will be how most of the public will remember Star Wars. If it bombs like Episode I, I wouldn't be surprised to see a major backlash against Lucasarts, on a scale never before seen.
I haven't seen the trailer yet so I'm very much looking forward to seeing some of the up coming action in Revenge of the Sith, though the name still needs work if he decides to change it. I could have swore there was a trailer for ROTS in the new edition DVDs but I'll be damned if I can find it, I saw the kind of "Making of It" but that didn't really have any spoilers to it. I'm in one-hundred percent agreement with Dave on this one though, this film better be the best of the New Trilogy by a long margin and would even need to be better in parts than the Original Trilogy. If this does bomb then LucasArts can pretty much kiss it's credibility goodbye because after this nobody will want to either see or play anything they produce. Actually if memory serves he's thinking about doing the EU like he did the Young Indiana Jones series, it might work though he'd have to do certain books (most of the plot heavy ones) in parts rather than as single units. I'd personally like to see it though chances are if ROTS goes pear shaped he won't do anything else.

Interesting, most interesting. Well I've only seen a few trailers for the film and read a review in one of the daily papers, however it seems good and I'll probably go see it either tomorrow or Thursday. When I first saw the trailer in my local cinema I actually thought it was a kids movie but from what you guys are saying it actually sounds pretty alright. Honestly I don't think it would take much effort to out do the current run of Marvel Films though Spiderman 2 was actually really enjoyable.

Interesting, most interesting. Personally I've always found it just as easy to use the Open in a New Window action as Desbreko pointed out. I actually sometimes find it irritating when certain sites only open in new windows leaving you finished with one set of information and constantly having to close windows you're done using. Again I just think the system of Open in a New Window is the easiest, but I do see where you're coming from on this one Baron.
I used to be a mod way back when. James recruited me, and so I was mod of Otaku Lounge. I think you did a brilliant job as the Otaku Lounge moderator Mitch, I remember in a few particular threads (mainly one pertaining gay marriage) we didn't see eye to eye but I always felt you did a great job. You were always fair, honest and always gave good reasons behind any opinions on debate responses.
Sure, that was kind of neat, but I personally prefer The Empire Strikes Back. For the first time we get the sense of the rebels being just that, rebels. Not hapless fools bumbling around the Death Star and emerging alive? somehow. The fight becomes real, the might of the Empire is revealed. It's the most dramatic, well shot and plot driven of the OT. Besides, seeing Yoda for the first time was more interesting to me than seeing Vader. Yoda was witty and funny, while serious and wise. Vader, the first time we see him, is a silent bodyguard to Tarkin wearing a plasteel getup. Pfft.
I'll admit that The Empire Strikes Back had some truly excellent parts to it just didn't seem as good to me, perhaps in a few months or even weeks I'll come back and change my mind but I just didn't think it was as good. One major gripe with the new edition is Fett's voice, I know they got the guy who did Jango to redo the lines but he just seems so stupid now instead of the cool voice he used to have.
I found it unrealistic and rather silly. They should have been shot to pieces in the Death Star.
Yes that was rather silly but then again the same things should have happened to the Rebel Fleet in Return of the Jedi at the Battle of Endor, even destroying the Death Star and that Super Star Destroyer there was still a big fleet there.
Obi-Wan is in the prequels as well, although he's not nearly as well portrayed.
I think McGregor does a fair job with Kenobi but in ESB and ROTJ Obi-Wan is more of a two line character and then he's gone, he has no depth until his converasation with Luke in ROTJ. The Hayden inclusion in the end doesm't look right either.
One of the best, yes. The best is in ESB when Vader says: "Luke, I am your father." Hands down, best moment in the trilogy.
Yes I totally agree that's why I said one of the best, "I am your Father" will always be the best bit in all six films, and is one of the best lines in Sci Fi to date.
Assuming God is real, and assuming He could hate somebody. Anyway, this kind of story is so common it's not funny. There is probably not any element of fate [or even true love...] in your story. If one of you had been more forward, and more direct, then this wouldn't have happened. But neither of you were, and so this is what happened. Not uncommon, and hardly a sign of divine intervention ~_^ Anyway, you're barely 16, I don't think you've been singled out by fate.
Well I personally believe that God in incapable of hate simply because he is so forgiving, plus what could you have done to enrage him so much that he'd purposely withhold true love from you for the rest of your life ? Honestly I think the term "True Love" is a term thrown around all too often nowadays, true love is something that can't be forged in a matter of days or weeks but rather years between two people with a special bond. I don't think that a trip to Band Camp and a few encounters with this fellow is enough to fill that criteria, seems like it was a simple case of infatuation.
