I was going to launch an RPG on the same plot but I see Vicky beat me too it, fair play to you. I was going to go for Gimli's spot but as Drix has asked for it I'll leave it be. Name: Garin the Grey, Mithrandir, the Grey Wanderer Age: 3017, possibly more but I'm almost certain Gender: Male Character you are filling in for: Gandalf the Grey Weapons: His sword Glamdring which he procured from the treasure cave of three quite ugly Trolls while on an adventure with one Bilbo Baggins of the Shire. He carries his trusty staff from which he can produce his most potent magics, it is a simple piece of chestnut about 5'4" long with a gnarled top which encompasses a gleaming crystal, over all it is smooth and sleek. Armour: He wears only simple robes of grey that look tattered and forlorn as well as a grey hat of similar condition upon his head. He keeps with him Narya the Elven Ring of Fire given to him by Círdan on his leaving for the Undying Lands. Appearance: This really was the best one I could find. Race: Istari, appears to be of the race of Men Personality: Quite and reserved on some occasions while merry and talkative on others, there is no real way to well describe Garin's personality as tends to change upon the situation. The best way to describe him is that he is far seeing with a keep wit and a good sense of righteousness and decency which he believes extends to all people, races and creatures of Middle Earth and he will fight to achieve such a belief to become common. Biography: Arriving in the aftermath of the defeat of Sauron in the ending of the Second Age and the beginning of the Third, the Istari or Wizards as the became known are believed to have come to do battle with the evil of Morgoth and his servant Sauron, but that they were bound so that could not match his strength by force or enslave but to focus the other races to rally and defeat the Dark Lord. It is believed that they came forth from the Far West as five companions, Mithrandir [The Grey Wanderer], Curunír [the Man of Skill] were the most noted and given several other names including Garin the Grey and Saruman the White. The held council with the other races of Middle Earth and were quite appalled by the fact that Isildur refused to destroy the One Ring of Sauron. They too were most puzzled by it's disappearance after the murder of Isildur and his heirs at the Gladden Fields. In 1100 of the Third Age Mithrandir and the others began to believe that an evil presence had made birth inside Dol Guldor, they believed that it to be one of the Nazgul and so left it be. In 2060 of the same Age after the destruction of Minas Ithil Garin rode forth to Dol Guldor in the belief that Sauron was once again taking form there in, the spirit fled to the East and so began the Watchful Peace. Over 800 years later in 2850 Garin once again returns to Dol Guldor and learns that it is indeed Sauron who is master therein, he learns that Sauron is gathering all information possible of the Rings of the Elves, the One Ring and the heir to Gondor. He also meets Thrain of the Dwarves and receives the Key of Eriador from him and the message to pass it and his Ring to his so Thorin. In 2941 he and Thorin Oakenshield as well as his Dwarven crew and one very lazy hobbit by the name of Bilbo Baggins set forth from the Shire on an adventure to retrieve the Dwarven treasure from the dragon Smaug. Eight years later after the death of Thorin II at the Battle of the Five Armies Garin and Balin return and once again meet with Bilbo in the Shire. Over the next few years there was great upheaval in Middle Earth with the open return of Sauron in Mordor and the rebuilding of Barad-dur. In 2553 of the Third Age, the White Council met for the last time and debated the issue of the Rings, Saruman feigns that the One Rings has passed into the Great Sea and withdraws to Isengard and fortifies it. Garin continues his visits to the Shire and this peaks the interest of Saruman who begins to send spies to watch the area. In 3001 Garin returned once again to the Shire for the 111th Birthday of Bilbo Baggins....

Yes I had posted in this before but I decided to delete the whole thing and start again from scratch. Name: Garin Pinehammer Age: 94 Race: Dwarf Homeland: Belegost Swear fealty to: King Azgahal of Belgost Lineage: His father Gorin is one of the finest, most skilled and most famous smiths in all the Blue Mountains, his father is King Azgalhal cheif smith in weapons of warfare. His skill is legendary and has therefore given his son some of the finest weapons he has ever made including the hammer Fenrisbane. Weapons and Armour: A mithril headed hammer called Fenrisbane, the hammer head is set on a pine handle that has been treated to make it as stong as steel. The hammer is about 42" in length with the handle being 1 7/8" thick, the hammer head is about 12" thick with Dwarven runes running along it, the same runes run down pine handle of the hammer. It is from here that Garin get's his last name of Pinehammer, it was a nickname given to him by the other Belegost smiths. He also carries with him an number of small throwing axes made from similar materials to Fenrisbane, though they are of Garin's own contruction. The heads are mithril wrought of length 6" set into pine shafts of 32" in length, Garin at full strength can hurl them for a kill approx 90 feet after which his accuracy decreases. As for armour Garin prefers to wear armour only the parts of his body that may be vulnerable to attack, and thus allows him greater freedom of movement and speed. The armour is plate mithril, which protects his back, chest, thighs, shoulders, every where not mentioned is covered in a very tough but light leather armour. The mithril on his armour has been colored a metallic green as well as it's natural silver. On his back he carries a round shield of diameter 22" made from mithril and colored to match his body armour. It bares the standard of Belegost and since it had been created from mithril it is very light and very strong. He also carries a quiver over his back in which he keeps his throwing axes, it is made from the same leather as his shin armor. What kind of magic do you use: N/A History: Born and raised in Belegost as the son of one of her greatest smiths Garin was always surveyed and scrutinized for his ablilty in the smelting and crafting of armour and weapons for the Dwarven Armies. From a young age he excelled in both of these skills and some would comment that at his age he was as good as his father Gorin. His father took great pride in his son's abilities and wished to teach him all the skills that he had learned in his years as a black smith of Belegost. Garin with the aide of his father's teachings had soon surpassed all expectations held over his head since birth. Even though Garin had excelled in these pursuits he felt that they held no meaning for him, it was then that he decided to join the armies of Belegost against here enemies. That was over 10 years ago when Garin was a younger reckless dwarf unlike he is now, after returning from his time in the defense of the King Azgahal he chose to return to his greatest skills as a weapon's smith of Belegost. He created some of the finest armour ever beheld by his race as well the Nolodor and the race of Man. He was often sent as a diplomat and an ambassador to the Elven smiths of Nargothrond and it was here that finally a love for his art developed in the glittering caves that his forefathers had dug and that the Nolodor now lived within. He was always well treated by Feanor during his times there, and as gifts of gesture he would often create beautiful weapons or armour for the Elven Lords during his stay. And so life has been like this for Garin for most of his life going from his Forge in Belegost to the royal halls of Nargothrond and even sometimes the company of Men in Himlad as a guest of Bor on rare occasions. These turning of events so quickly by the Dark Lord Morgoth has left him with a deep bad taste in his mouth. He has quickly spoken of the arming of the Dwarven armies so that they may join with their neighbouring races and drive the Dark Lord and his armies from Middle Earth once and for all time... Personality: A typical Dwarf, Garin has spent most of his life as a Weapons Smith like his father in the great halls of Belegost and as such has spent most of his life underground. He has a very quick temper when it comes to potential enemies and would rather bury his hammer in their skull and then ask questions. However behind this facade of an appearance lies a very good hearted kind being who is brave, loyal and noble.

Ah Jeez guys me sincere apologies that I've not been around lately for this RPG, to be honest I thought it had died until a few days ago. Although you've been including Van in a lot of the posts it's time for him to leave your company for a while. Van stood in the medical bay of the Event Horizon busily looking for anything he could form into a weapons of some description, he knew what this ship was capable of and that slowly he too would succumb to it's demonic powers. He took the 9m pistol from his hip holster and checked the magazine in it to make sure that he had at least a few bullets in it, "Six and one in the chamber so that makes seven" he counted in a nervous voice. He stood up from the desk and decided to head down to Satell and Allen, for all he knew they could be dead but he was unwilling to accept such a conclusion until he saw proof of it. He turned and began to walk down the hall with a courageous vigour as he headed towards the Gravity Room; he heard rumours of what this thing would be able to do but that something had gone awfully wrong on her mission. He turned the last corridor and found Satell facing off against a man he had once known as Dr. Weir, he called to both Satell and Allen, pulled his pistol from his hip holster and emptied it's remaining bullets into Weirs skull and chest. He stood in horror as the bullets seemed to embed themselves in Weir and then just pop back out onto the floor. Weir turned and faced Van, Van saw in all unholy horror at what had befallen a man he knew once as his friend. Van: WEIR, STOP THIS MADNESS, you know what you'll cause if you go through with this insanity. Weir: Van, my old friend, I no longer care about what happens humanity. I serve a far greater purpose that you could never understand in your feeble mind, you were always weak Van, first you lost your wife, then your son, and now your soul. Van looked on as he threw Satell against the wall next to Allen and began to walk forward in a manner as one would through a park on a fine day. Van pulled a long surgical knife from his belt that was behind his back and held it facing Weir. Weir smirked and then laughed as he allowed himself to walk right up to Van, he gripped Van's hand with such a strength that Van wailed out aloud in pain. Weir: Van you cannot kill me, I CAN'T BE KILLED BY ANYONE Laughs loudly in a sort of twisted pleasure Van: Smiles That was always your short coming Weir, you never knew your own limitations. Using his shoulder as a ram Van charged both himself and Weir towards the portal to Chaos, Satell and Allen called for Van to stop but his mind was made up, Weir was right, if he didn't do this then it would prove he'd lost his soul. Van had always said that if you could save other pain by taking it on yourself then it's the right thing to do, Weir screamed at Van to stop but had been caught of guard and couldn't stop himself... Van: I'll see you in hell Weir..... Allen: VAN !!!, DON'T !!! And then both men passed through the Blackness of the Gravity Drives rip in space, both men sent hurtling to a dimension of pure Chaos..........
Originally posted by Boba Fett I also was highly annoyed by the portrayal of Boba Fett in Return of the Jedi. Far from being the premier Bounty Hunter in the galaxy, trained in all manner of martial arts and sole heir to the greatest mercenary tradition the galaxy has ever know, he was knocked into the sarlacc by a blind guy with a stick.
I just had to laugh when that happened in Return of the Jedi. I mean here's the universe's best Bounty Hunter knocked into the great Sarlaac by a blind Corellian and his Wookie co-pilot Chewie, classic Lucas comedy. --------------------- Also Boba I noticed a small descripency in your quiz from Page 83 of this thread. 22. Q: Who is Jango Fett's "Mother"? 22. A: He has none, being a clone grown on Kamino. However, if someone somehow comes up with "Clone Birth Pod", they get double points My point is that Jango himself is the original source of the D.N.A for the Clone Army, and is not a clone like his son Boba.

OK guys thanks for all being patient enough for wait this long for the RPG and I'm really touched. Remember when I said that you would be visited by a relative Jedi it didn't have to be one that died in the Clone Wars but that's my own screw up and it makes no real differences. Another problem is that everyone seems to know where Ossus is, if I'm not mistaken [eyes Boba uneasily] Ossus has been lost since it's destruction at the hands of the Sith. Ergo if this is right then nobody would know the location of the planet. You've been drawn to the planet but you don't know where or why, it's like when Odo was drawn to the Omarian Nebula in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Other than that I have no major problems with the stuff that's written so far but would agree with Shikaku when I say that stuff needs to have correct spelling, grammer, punctuation and needs to be at least 25 lines long which in reality is nothing and even longer posts would be much appreciated. And if you read my post I will mention but not name the worlds of Ossus and Ruusan ----------------------------------------- Van sat lying in his bunk for the better part of an hour since he had come back from his hike up the cliffs, his mind was still filled with too many questions from his "visit" from that apparition or whatever it was. He had heard stories about the Jedi, wielders of the Force like Emperor Palpatine and Lords Vader and Revenant, he had heard stories about how they had protected the weak, ineffective, corrupt Old Republic. Van had heard stories about how the Planet Naboo had suffered becuase of the inability of the Republic to act, then the Separatists formed under the Ex-Jedi Syfo Dias or as most called him Count Dooku. Again the Republic failed to act in time to crush that fledgling movement from becoming large enough to threaten civil war on the entire galaxy. He remembered who Supreme Chancellor Palpatine was granted emergency powers to deal with the situation becuase of the inabiilty for the Old Republic's Senators to do their job. After the Clone Wars between the two factions the Emperor had formed the Empire with himself as it's leader and finally cleared away the remnants of the Old Republics and gave order to the galaxy. Van smiled as he thought of all the indecision, all the inability, all the corruption that had been wiped clean with the Emperors ascension. He thought then off the wiping out of the Jedi, he had never heard the reason for their destruction, he assumed that they had challanged the Empire and lost and that their Order had deminished to extinction. He found it odd that an Order of seemingly benevolent protectors, which is how they had once been described had challanged the Empire for it's power. He felt his eyelids close over and he slipped into a dream unlike any he had ever had in his entire life...... He found himself on an unfamiliar world covered in ruins, it was barren, it's red, coppery colored soil indicated a high mineral content. He looked around in amazement as he dared to take his first step forward, it was unlike any planet he had ever read about in his history journals or had ever heard about from archaic library droids. The grounds was dusty beneath his feet as he became more bold and strode forward, he ran his hands along the walls of a cliff which he had entered, he became bolder still as he saw the ending of the cliffs and decided to see where it led. He felt a very odd feeling, more of a sense as he entered the area it was almost exactly like when he had met that Jerath man. He saw statues surrouding him, they were of Jedi, he knew that becuase of the way the were clothed and the lightsabers that some of them held by their faces. He saw a small hill about 20 meters ahead of him with a light flowing from it, it too was unlike anything he had ever even heard of, he began to walk towards it half out of curiousity half out of some form of familirity. As he reach it he noticed that it was flowing from what looked like an eruption point in the ground, it was then that he felt the hand on his shoulder, he turned and was once again confronted by his great grandfather Jedi Master Jareth Ambrose Jareth: You are just dreaming my son, yet what you seen here is no dream, you are on the site of what was the greatest battles ever between the Jedi and the Sith. The Force energy that flows from here is the strongest in the galaxy because of all those who fell on the battle here. Their collective energies have fueled this well which we call The Valley of the Jedi. Although you see this world in a dream it is most real and you will some day come here in the waking world, but such as thing will not occur for a long, long time. You have felt drawm somewhere have you not, a feeling that you are in the wrong place and that you need to be somewhere else entirely. Van: Yes...it is...I have never felt anything like it before....something strange....and yet altogether familiar.... it is very much like what I feel when I meet you. What is this feeling, this sense that plagues me ? Jareth: It is the Force within you that calls you to your destiny, Van you are the last of our family line that bears the Force within your soul. You are being called to the ancient homeworld of the Jedi Order, our lost world. It is a world much like this one, another great battlefield, but this one was once home to the entire Jedi Order before it's destruction at the hands of the Sith. You will know where this planet lies when you accept your destiny and that is something that you alone can do. Van: In a final acceptance that this man is his great grandfather Grandfather...the Jedi...do I have the making of one ? Jareth: You would not feel this pull otherwise my son, now go, wake and grasp your destiny with both hands and never let go. You will face great tests if character, feel loss worse than anything you've ever known and know victory greater than any ever recorded. Van's eyes opened as he stared at the light coming in the windows of his quarters, he glanced down at the clock near him and saw that it was a little before he was due to attend the Commander's Office for a briefing on his next mission. The dream was fresh in his mind and he knew that it would not leave him, Van rarely dreamt but when he did it he could recall every detail from it. He sat off his bunk and walked to the sonic shower, he felt the sweat from the hike and the dream still covering his body as he stripped off and allowed the shower to cleanse his body. He stepped out and dried himself, pulling on his boots and uniform he stood ready in the mirror before setting of the the Commander's Office to await the meeting. But in the back of his mind he knew what he was going to be told, he knew that he would be promoted and reassigned from Cardia to the Emperors Personal Staff on Corsucant, and it would be there where he would be tempted with the Dark Side. For the first time in his entire life he shivered at the thought of the Emperor, he had always grown up seeing pictures of him and had always seen him as a figure of order and balance, but now he felt just a chill of fear run down his spine. He stode down the halls of the pristine, white, sterile walls of the barracks and waited outside the Commander's Office wondering whether or not his destiny awaited him on Cardia or on Coruscant....

Well here's my sign up Jo as you asked, I suppose I'll be the fourth in the company. Name: Ironhide [I had to have it Jo] Age: N/A Gender: Male Weapons & Armour: N/A Ent Type: Ash Master: N/A Personality: Like all Ash trees who have lived near Isengard for some many years Ironhide has developed a great resistance to Saruman's magics whether they be his speech tricks or those from his staff. He was one of the first to speak of a strike against Saruman and as such he was one of the main driving forces behind Pippin and Merry's plan for an attack against Isengard during the council with Treebeard. He has been described as being far-sighted, resolute and fair, he sees that small consistant victories against evil would be better than large scale battles going to and fro. Apperance: Light grey bark with differant shades on differant parts of his body along with patches ranging from a stoney grey to a silver. Oddly enough he has no scars from the war even though he has been in the thick of it right since the original attack against Isenguard, his leaves are at the moment a dark green readying to change to a red/orange color. He is one of the larger Ents standing at 22 feet in height and having a trunk 7 feet thick, his arms and legs are long and thick along him to knock Orcs and Uruk-Hai clear away and crush them beneath his feet. Biography/History: Wise and fair he has lived in Fangorn for as long as he has existed and he has been a great protector and benevolent planter of young trees in Fangorn, this new alliance between the Wizard Saruman the White and Sauron has left him deeply contemplative of what will happen to Fangorn and he decided that a strike against the fledgling forces in Isengard were needed. However nobody would listen and this left him fearing the worst as Saruman's forces grew and grew and he created the foul Uruk-Hai. He was one of the first to learn of the burning of the trees of Fangorn and personally slew many of those who had caused the atrocities against the forest. With the arrival of Merry and Pippin an assault was finally planned against Isengard and Ironhide was one of the first to rend the stone from the walls and hurl them at the fowl creations of Saruman, he personally slew more than 100 Orcs at the battle. He has joined Quickbeam and the other Ents as they seek to destroy the last remnants of Saruman's foul creatures.

I've read a good few reviews on this game from a few differant magazines and I have to say that I'm impressed at the scores that it's been getting from them. The idea behing the sword in Prince of Persia is interesting and the way that it's powers have to be refuel the swords powers so you can use the special effects [I'm not giving away anything am I ?]. I plan to get this game and of course the other most talked about one in this thread Mario Kart: Double Dash as soon as I get paid this week, huh this is a good week for my game cube with Worms 3D aas well, a word of advice is that after you get good, get rid oif the AI teams and replace them with better ones

In a Sarcastic yet Joking tone Thank you to our online Star Wars Dictionary Boba Fett, come on give the man a hand he desevers it. Look guys I am truly sorry about this taking so long but to say that I have been swamped with work would be an insulting understatement. I now have the RPG up and it can be found Here and yes I have changed the name, again sorry for it taking so long and all

Yeah before everyone pelts me with eggs for this taking so long at least allow me to pick up a shield to defend myself against the on-coming barrage of poultry products. Yes I have changed the name of the RPG for it's own sake a A Decision Changed was quite a crap name and I'd say you'd agree with me. Oh and just by the way all of you who are not already on route to Ossus will be contacted by the spirit apparations of a Jedi Master from your family since of course the Force is passed on down through blood like Corran Horn. ---------------------------------------------- Van sat on a cliff overlooking the glittering dome that was his new home since he had left Coruscant for Cardia. He has applied to, been accepted and joined the Imperial Stellar Navy, he was quite amazed that he's gotten so far already but thought it was probably because he was human and most of the other squad were non-human. It never really bothered Van that the Empire descriminated against other non-humans races as humans were just better than other races as he had been taught since he was a child, it was just more of Imperial Propoganda that had stuck in him since then. He felt the ruffle of the wind against his jacket and shivered trying to understand what was drawing him away from where he had settled, he enjoyed the company of his fellow pilots and the joy he got from flying the new TIE Hunters. He shivered again but felt no wind this time to cause such a response from his body, he stood up and pulled on his flight jacket as he began to hike back to towards the base where he would start his next day's training on the base. He couldn't understand why he felt this way, why he flet that he needed to leave but the tug had gotten a lot stronger lately, at first he'd just dismissed it as home-sickness but he knew that this was not the case as he was in contact with his family quite regularly. He took a step forward and gazed forward over the edge of the cliff once more before heading off in the opposite and felt a presence like none he'd ever felt before, it was strange and yet familiar all at once and he felt a warm sense of comfort in his surrouding. He was unarmed and knew that he couldn't put up much of a fight in his current state of being, he decided to call for the individual to reveal themselves for their own good. He watched as an individual covered in a blue veil stepped forward into hsi field of view from a few feet away, he was dressed in what Van recognised as traditional Jedi Robes and carried a lightsaber along his waist. Van had always thought that Lord Vader had killed all the Jedi apart from Lord Revenant who he had converted, he called for the stranger to indentify himself and stood his ground waiting for the answer to come. Jedi: I, Van Ambrose am Jareth Ambrose your great-grandfather, a Jedi Knight killed during the final years of Clone Wars many years before you were born and joined the Darkside's pawns. Van: In a confused yet determined voice I serve only the Empire and will not be swayed by a mere Rebel trick. You say you are Jareth Ambrose I have never heard of him nor heard that my family had ties with anyone but the Empire, where is your proof ? Jareth: The Empire is forged of the remnants of the Old Republic which I served before it was twisted by Palpatine. Your Grandfather was orphaned a short time after his birth since both I an his mother were killed during the Clone Wars, I was only able to request that he be sent to my brother for safe keepings and raised as his own until he could be told the truth of his origins but he turned his back on the teachings of the Jedi and began to serve the Empire as an agent. Van: That's a lie, my grandfather joined the Empire so he could serve a better purpose not one of spite against a father who had died and never brought him up. Jareth: When then have you excelled so in your training, you have reflexs better than any other person in your class and you are close to a promotion and reassignment to the Emperors protection, it will be here that he will tempt you to the Dark Side but you must not let that happen, you will serve a far greater purpose than that, you must go to Ossus where you will find your true potential, go my son and may the force be with you. Van stared in complete awe as the figure seemed to just disappear as the veil melted, he sat against a rock for the next hour before finally making his way back down to the base and awaiting his fate to unfold before him......

The Evil Creatures known as "Siblings"
Gavin replied to Hittokiri Zero's topic in General Discussion
Well I'm the eldest in my family and I've got one younger brother who is 15 and a younger sister who has just entered her teenage years, both have had memberships on Otakuboards but haven't stayed all that long. Well I usually get on well with my little brother as we share a lot of common interests and dislikes. It's really quite odd as when he was younger he was my polar opposite. He was all into sports and hated Sci-Fi, but now he's really a lot like me. He has never really challanged my authority as Eldest Brother and never entered that Teen Rebellion Stage, but since I weigh 4 stone more and stand a full 7 inches taller than him it makes it hard for him to do so. My little sis has just entered her Teen Years and it has shown very quickly. She on the otherhand has decided to try to challange my authority and we have frequent fights but at the core of it all I love my little sis to bits and would do anything for her in this world. The weird thing though is that as much my brother is like me, my sister is more like me than he could ever be in terms of personality and looks. I really don't have anymore to say on the matter as that's really all I could say about them, love or hate them you just have to put up with your Siblings. -
#1 When did this interest start? Wheww it was a very long time ago, maybe 11 or more years, yeah that would be 1992. I went to a childhood friend's house and he had Star Wars: A New Hope on video, we decided to watch it since it was raining outside. I was hooked from then on, it was a while until I saw the next two on video but I was still hooked and have never really let loose. #2 What is your favorite Book/Movie? I love the original movie A New Hope since it kinda started my whole love of Star Wars but I love the other old ones with the same passion. I'm hooked on the New Jedi Order books but they're hard to come by. My favourite series that I read was the Jedi Academy series by Kevin J. Anderson. #3 How into Star Wars do you think you are? I'm not as obsessed as people like Boba but then again I do really love a good Star Wars Novel or Film and have a decent Star Wars trivia knowledge. #4 Do you do anything Star Wars related online, if so what? Beyond reading up on new EU Trivia not really as my PC is too slow to do that sort of thing. #5 How do you pursue your interest in Star Wars here on the boards? I suppose I would be one of the Old Star Wars fans on OB along with Yoda and MajinVegeta, we were in quite a few of the early ones together. I've started a good few RPGs and joined numerous others. #6 Any general comments, cares or concerns about Star Wars you feel obligated to share? Episode Three had just better do justice to the series unlike it's two prequels and more like it's sequels.

I've read a few reviews on this game and it's predecessors and I have to say I like it, I've always wanted to play a Super Mario RPG that did actually include Luigi because he strangely enough is my favourite of the Plumber Duo.
I have seen the Hammer Bros. in several pictures and I am happy to see their return to the games
Hmm I was wondering if controling the two Mario Brothers on screen is difficult of confusing.

I actually missed the last few episodes of The Unicron Battles and it pissed my off severely. I have to say though that I did not enjoy Transformers Armada as much I had hoped I would. I agree that some of the character were well though out and enjoyable: Starscream [his personal choices were well thought out and interesting, Optimus, Red Alert, Sideswipe [he had me in stitches], Demolisher [another comic character]. The next series of Transformers is called
Energon and will feature the return of many of the previous series characters even Starscream from what I've read, the series takes place roughly 10 years after Armada with the Decepticons looking for energy to restore Unicron to power. It will also see several new Autobots and Decepticons come to Earth including my own favourite Ultra Magnus as well as Ironhide, Scorponok and others. I hope that this one will be better than Armada's mad dash get Minicons race but we shall soon see.

Sorry I haven't been around for a while guys but my PC has gone totally screwy and I have to go to a damn internet Cafe anytime I need to post something. Van pulled the machine-pistol from his hip holster and activated the flashlight on it, he scanned the room for any signs of any more activity but saw none. Van was thoroughly creeped out by all this freeaky crap that was going on, he looked down at Ruben with his gun pointed squarely at his forehead, he had not idea what that thing had done to Ruben but he was in no mood to find out. Carelfully he checked Ruben's helmet for any signs of a puncture or any anomaly that might lead to something going funky. He seemed alright and asked Van to help him from the ground, Van complied and using one arm lifted Ruben off the floor onto his feet, Ruben thanked him and Van asked what he'd seen whe he was in the vent. Van: Now Ruben, think very clearly, what exactly did you see when you were in the vent ? Ruben: Breathing fast Shit Doc I dunno, it was like some fuckin' monstrosity, I thought it was a cat or something and when I got close it sprang onto my fucking helmet and started to dig into it with it's claws. What did it look like when you got it off me ? Van: It was a sort of a liquid when I kicked it back into the vent, let's just hope the damn thing stays away from us until we can figure this whole fucking mess out.... Speaks into headphone Captain this is Ambrose, have you encountered any strange phonemon while onboard the Event Horizon ? Van cursed as static interfered in the communication, he turned to Ruben and asked him to follow Van as the attempted to join up with the Captain, he should have told them not to split up even if it meant more ground was covered. He took his crucifix in his hand and said a quite prayer as he took his gun and pointed it back towards the vent, "fucking shit heap" he thought as they left the room...

Thanks for allowing me to stay in the RPG Zidargh, I hope it turns out well, I've changed the basic idea behind my character. Name: Van Ambrose Gender: Male Age: 28 Job: Mechanic/Inventor/Book Collector Height: 6'1" Birthdate: February 23 Birthplace: Sector 7 Specialities: Wide Variety of Knowledge including Lore and History, quite charismatic w/ an ability to sell useless crap to most people. Very intelligent, inventive and intuitive, he has the ability to build things from simple components and judge people quickly and accurately. Appearance: Van has longish, dark, chestnut brown hair that has grown down to his ears. He keeps his hair well trimmed and looking well although his fringe sometimes get in the way of his eyes when he is reading and has his head tilted downwards to the lamp light. He has watery dark blue eyes that seem to shimmer with an intelligence and an understanding of the world that does not match his physical age. His face is clean-shaven and has a look of innocence and naivete. It is without and marks or scars that might distinguish him, in all respects Van looks like he's never actually left his desk in all his life. Van stands just over 6'1" in height and weighs just over 60 KGs, from a long life of study or planning of new inventions in a room where he sat in his desk, he is not in the least bit well built and has quite a lean and athletic body. He does enjoy being out an about an in actually quite fast, although one does have to be to avoid thieves, although most have no interest in books or history but merely any new piece of equipment he might be carrying. In terms of clothing Van likes to keep his clothing simple and comfortable, he wears a pair of tan trousers with a white t-shirt covered by a tan jacket. He wears a pair of dark brown leather boots that allow him to traverse uneven ground quickly and safely. Inside many of his pockets he carries many of his smaller tools and other little trinkets that he uses to fix up machinery and electronics for those who have them in the different Sectors. If you can't actually picture Van then think of Daniel Jackson from Stargate:SG1 Season 1 Personality: On looking at Van one would almost dismiss him as being boring and without substance. One would think all his years of book reading has left him with some fairly tale imagination, however he is actually very aware of the modern conditions of sub-Plate living and of the evils the Shinra Corporations is committing. It disgusts him that these people would commit such acts against fellow human beings and that they have so little concern for the damage and pains that they cause other people merely because they are not as wealthy as these big executives and those who live Above-Plate. He would gladly take hardships if it meant saving some other poor soul from them, he has a great love for the other people of the Sub-Plate level and often does favours by fixing up things that have broken and doing it for nothing. Most people know that he is a loyal generous trust-worthy person who is worth knowing. History: Born in Sector 7 in one of the bigger shacks 28 years ago as the only child to Fiona and Van Ambrose Senior. Van's father was a miner and his mother was a Bar Waitress in the 7th Heaven. From youth Van displayed an ability to make simple things from rudimentary parts. As he grew older these talents became more and more apparent as he began to design new mining equipment for his father and his father's co-workers at the mine. It was these simple inventions that allowed Van to help his family make some money as the mining equipment designs were bought by the mine's Chief Director and distributed to the other mines run by the Shinra Corporation. At the age of 15 Van discovered that he had a great love of books and of the history of the planet, at some stage he wanted to visit Cosmo Canyon and learn about all the different Myths of the Ancients. It was later on that year that Van's family was stricken by an awful blow with the death of his father during a mining cave-in. Van was left with only his mother who was the only other person to bring in money into their hom. Van decided to start working and became a sort of an engineer fixing up things for people and building new equipment for different business's in Sub-Plate levels. At 17 he was offered a position in Shinra but turned them down because of what he knew they stood for, his father had always told him that Shinra cared more about money than they did about people. His father also told him that they had polluted the Sub-Plate level with little or no concern for those who lived down there. Life continued quite like this for Van for the next ten years as he read some more, designed new things and sold them to buyers who were interested in said equipment. He is well versed in many of the Histories and Myths of the Planet and the people of the Planet. His mother has been taken quite ill and he is unsure of whether or not she will survive, he is deeply worried but knows the situation is out of his hands....

Name and Title: Ultra Magnus, Autobot Vice Commander Code-Number: BT 03 Motto: "Consistency is victory" Gender: Male Function: Autobot Vice Commander/Autobot City Commander. Transformation: This I'll come back and edit, I need to think about this. Personality: Ultra Magnus is all soldier, he is most comfortable when he is carrying out Optimus Prime's orders. He is uncomfortable when the mantle of leadership is placed over his broad shoulders as he sees himself as a follower, not a commander, and is reluctant to assume authority until it is clear that he has no choice but to lead. However when he does finally lead he is resolute, fair and courageous beyond reproach. He is ever-ready to sacrifice himself for the good of his companions and mission, and unstinting in his preparedness so that his "people" will be as protected as possible. Apperance: Hmm mre thinking required I have to update his appearance as per JPs [Jokopoko's] request. History/Biography: Let me get back to you again. Weapons: I don't actually know, someone help me here.

Hmm this post has been approved by KnightoftheRose and will show how far the Event Horizon's influence can spread. Van looked at Trini and asked her to fix up Sam's broken nose, she seemed to be a little edgy but Van assured her that Sam would do nothing. All the same he threw he over a syringe filled with a tranquilliser and walked out after Captain Chubbs, there was something that bothered him about the way he had nearly tortured Sam over what had happened. Van had thoroughly reviewed everyone's medical files and had found no previous violent tendencies among them, it was then he began to suspect the Event Horizon's influence was back. He finally caught up with Chubbs asking what had happened and why he had acted that way in the Medical Bay, the Captain swept his arm back and told Van to mind his own business for his own sake. Allen: Just shut your mouth old man, before I close it with my boot. Van stared back as the Captain stood still against the cold, white steel walls of the Bladerunner when something inside him snapped, he suddenly felt an overwhelming rage directed towards this insolent little shit, how dare he speak to Van that way. He walked up slowly to Chubbs and caught him by the shoulder with his hand and spun him round to face him, the Captain had a look of surprise on his face at Van's persistence before responding with another snide remark. Allen: Get away from me, before I beat you into the ground...Smack This was too much for Van and he responded by slamming his fist into the side of the of Allen's jaw, the Captain was surprised by Van's assault and by the strength of the punch itself before being sent to the ground. However Van was not yet finished and dragged Allen back up to his feet before kneeing him into his stomach, winding him. The Captain now used his weight and drove into Van's midsection sending him directly into the steel wall of the corridor, Van's back took the impact and he fell down in a heap at the side of the wall. Both men were breathing heavily and though both had done rigorous military endurance training Van's age was the decider as he was unable to get back up off the ground. Chubbs was walking over casually to Van, his hands swinging by his sides in glee. He bent down on one knee and looked at Van as he struggled to get back up and laughed quite clearly as he touched his jaw where Van's punch had landed, as Van looked about in search of something that could help in this situation. Allen: Well well old man you're a better soldier than I though but that won't save you...

Hmm nicknames, I had a lot and most I'll not repeat. As my first name is Gavin I've had quite a few based on said name: Gav Lazy people call me this instead of my full name. Van Yes, my current character name is actually based on my own. Otacon Weird but at one stage I had longish hair and one of the lads said that I looked like him and so it took for a while. Brick Well I was at my local judo club I was nearly impossible to move when I was down on the ground and so I was called this name. Professor Frink/Frinky This one came just after I had cut my hair from it's longer length and the same guy called me Frink, then Frinky and finally Professor Frink. Hmm I know I have a few others but I just can't think of them now but those are the main ones, ohh yeah and of course one of the first ones I was called was Comic Book Guy.

Current Song I'm listening to ehh, well at the moment I'm listening to three pieces of music without lyrics so I'm not sure if they count: 1] Tatooine Blues: Yeah the one being played in the Cantina in Mos E-something, can remember the name. I love this tune becuase it's so damn funky.... 2] Windmill from Zelda: Yeah the music in the Windmill from Ocarina of Time, this music really gets my creative side going and I was listening to this when I wrote my Monkey Island RPG. 3] Mortal Combat: MORTAL COMBAT !!!!, although it doesn't have the lyrics the music still kicks *** and I usually listen to it if I'm writing a fight scene in an RPG. Well that's really it for music I listen to, I bought Load by Metallica but I haven't listened to it in a while, next up though is Garage Inc.. I love that album and have borrowed it numerous times off friends, my favourite track Whiskey in the Jar it's my favourite version of that song and becuase it's Irish

Van lay sobbing in Satell's arms before he could even reply to what she had said, it would seem as if he had never truly dealt with his son's death, and that working was all just a cover, under which to hide his grief. He lifted his head off her arms and wiped his eyes before replying and staring into her own... Van: Satell....Coughs.... that nightmare.... Sniff... it was of my boy, my son..... he was my greatest achievement and a wonder to my everyday life.... and when I lost him on that day a part of me died with him.... he was all that I had left.... and without him I felt alone and worthless... I felt as though life itself had ended. Satell looked in pity and worry at Van as he spoke, she did not speak but rather listened as he spoke and allowed him to get all his misery off his chest, he placed his head in his hands once again and started weeping. Satell watched as he coughed once more and wiped his eyes with a tissue from his pocket , he lifted his head and spoke again, he was more calm this time, although his eyes were red from the tears. Van: My son was a Ship Captain.... like Allen, he was one of the bravest people I ever knew, even since his mother died he had always carried on working hard and making me proud of him. I turned down his offer as Medical Officer on the Excelsior as I wanted to allow his to do this mission without my help. I watched his ship launch from the ground and take to the skies....... and swallows I.....watched... tears form once again.....as the ship...... exploded...., I just dropped to the ground and screamed.....breathing quickens.... I couldn't believe it....... all that I had loved was gone........ in a mere blink and a flash of light....they told me that then fuel tank had been ruptured during the take off. Raises voice noticeably but not to shouting level Fucking ruptured Satell's eyes widen as she hears Van curse for the first time, the piece of shit just ruptured and took my boy and his crew along with it. After that I just concentrated on work, as a way of getting over what had happened. I lost my wife and I lost my son and all I had left was my work, in reality I had nothing left to live for.....cries again Satell looked on in horror as Van told her of the worst parts of his life, losing his wife and son, wanted to die to be with them, and never really dealing with what had happened. She wrapped her arms around him again and shushed his crying as she tried to calm him down......

Damn man this is some strange stuff going on in here, post the next chapter I wanna see where this leads
