10th Division Captain. Based on the translations of Masked he's not dead and will play appear in the manga at a later point. That said this databook doesn't cover as far as the final 3 Espada's releases so it is possible, albeit unlikely in my opinion that Isshin is the former 10th Division. The two bodies in Szayel's lab haven't been forgotten either and will also play a role in the future. We will see the Royal Guard in the next arc, which means Aizen is going to get his hands on the King's Key. Finally and most disappointingly it's been stated that most of the Espada were either Vasto Lordes or of Vasto Lorde (post-Arrancar transformation) level. Putting out those we know were less than Vasto Lorde that likely means Stark, Barragan, Halibel, Ulquiorra, Wonderweiss and possibly Yammy and Nel were all Vasto Lordes before they became Arrancar. Nnoitra is unlikely IMO, there just didn't seem to be the huge shift in power between him and Grimmjow that there was between him and Ulquiorra. No mention of whether or not Segunda Etapa puts Ulquiorra above the other Espada either as far as I remember.

Just had a look at the spoilers for the new Databook, specifically the missing lieutenants and captain and I felt the following must be said: Kotsubaki Shinemon is the most badass-looking motherfucker ever to grace Bleach's pages, it is a travesty of justice that this man's epicness was never demonstrated and we got stuck with his suck-ass son instead. Also 7th Division barracks shall henceforth be renamed the Bastion of Manliness due to the overpowering GAR produced by its soldiers. (lol at Iba's mom being a Lieutenant before him, guess that explains why he fought for the position)
In Gavin's case I renamed his card: I didn't do this intentionally, I just made the card with the wrong name in mind and am too lazy to make a new one. Sorry, bro. - Shy

It's all good man, you honestly think I'm going to call someone else on their laziness ?

I think it actually signifies a loss of control on Aizen's part, the idea of using the Hougyoku was to turn himself into a perfect hybrid but Gin's little stunt would appear to have pushed him further into Hollow territory than before although Lord knows where ButterflAizen (as I shall hence-forth refer to him) is concerned that will obviously yield a further power-up than properly weakening him.

True it was still very obvious that B was in Hachibi mode at that point, Naruto looks no more like the Kyuubi in his Super Saiyan form than he does when he's using Sage Mode. I'd say it has to do with the fact he only has access to half the Kyuubi's chakra but even that doesn't make sense considering he was able to reach the eighth tailed incomplete Kyuubi form not too long ago when he faced Pain. I mean the whole idea of the training was to make the Kyuubi similar to the Hachibi in terms of temperament, that however has not been the end result and blows quite heavily.
By that logic they could've just "wished it away". :/
Wasn't the explanation that
short of death, nothing inside the dream could actually wake someone up and the rest they just had to deal with ? Because it's someone else's dream they're the ones in control.
At least that's what I understood as occurring.

There was about a 10 year gap in TBtP wasn't there ? It's possible Gin's recruitment occurred at some stage there so Aizen would be interested in Urahara without creating yet another Kubo-inspired plot-hole. Funnily enough I figured Aizen had attempted to create his own version before and only went after Urahara's when he realised he couldn't create a completed version of his own. Also did anyone else notice Aizen has upgraded to full Hollow style eyes i.e. sans pupils.

I'm a bit disappointed Naruto's Kyuubi mode is just Super Saiyan given how kick ass HachiB (see what I did there) looks when he does it. Getting a little demo of his new strength levels, pretty much putting Sennin-Mode to shame was helpful, though the "All I saw was a yellow flash" was a bit you know, obvious. Bug Kisame was a let-down, but I do love the way Gai reacts whenever those two meet. Also I now want to see Evil Gai.

Threatening to sue your boss is grounds for termination...and I think you know which definition of the word I mean.

Prevailing fan-theory at the moment seems to be that one was a hougyoku Aizen created rather than Urahara's one. Still crap pacing though for that whole chapter.

I'm not opposed to tactics, or tactical fighting I just absolutely loathe
stabbing someone in the back and calling it tactical fighting, sure Shunsui had to wait for Stark to actually create a shadow but it just seemed to destroy any sense of Stark being a serious opponent considering he went on to be butchered by Shunsui's OP shikai.
I mean if he were being tactical why not have done that from the start ?
Done. It was Laurie in the technology section. And now there's blood on some of the DSi XLs.
It's fine, we'll hold them in reserve and sell them as a promo with the next major beat-'em-up or violence-themed game and gouge customers even more. Seems Laurie did manage to fulfil that task I set him in the end, Lord knows you'd think someone had taken that Death Note notebook I keep in my desk and set this exact scenario...Hmm...Makes one think.
No, I'll get straight back to work, sir! The budget cut doesn't really affect me either, since I hate coffee anyway. (Of course, I don't like tea either...)
Excellent. Now if you'd be so kind. Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.
Corpses at the ready, sir! Chibis never stay dead, anyway! We may die out of comedy, but then we're up and ready in seconds! Plus, who would be the door greeter of the month?! Who?! In the coffee tin? Oh...did the coffee budget get cut again? I see... I'll go break the news and mop up the tears as well...
Your whining is becoming tiresome, perhaps I need a new assistant ? And yes, the coffee budget has been cut, they're all zombies anyway they can't tell the difference. Based on this week's chapter spoilers it looks like we're split between epic Jinchuuriki action and Maito Gai/Kisame style comedy which is always worth a read.

Meh I still think he's a coward. Give me Kenpachi or Komamura's "I'm right here *****, let's do this" style to fighting any day.

I'm honestly incredulous as to Gin's actual aim in acquiring the hougyoku, if he was attempting to destroy it he should know it can't be destroyed by regular means and if he was aiming to integrate it into himself sure he realised how long it took for Aizen to merge with it. Also where the hell did Aizen get thae hougyoku from from before ? Need next week's chapter right now to make some bloody sense of this chapter.

I guess I should also fetch the job applications so that those five unfortunates may be replaced. Wait... I'm nameless and faceless? Okay. But yes, no capital letters, please~! It's so much more chibi without!
No, they shall be replaced with yet more shambling, incoherent corpses recently resurrected from the dead by my vile necromancy. Speaking of which I want those coffin sales figures on my desk in the next five minutes so I can accurately plot our potential labour pool. And no, I grant you some small leniency in actually having a name because I can't just call out "nameless, faceless servant" when I want something and reasonably expect you to understand I'm calling for you. Nonetheless this does not guarantee your safety or continued survival any more than any other minion who does not possess a name. Now get that mess cleared up, place the ashes in the staff coffee tin and get back to work.
Ghostâ??s Name: The Butler Manifestations: Once chief servant to the Manor of Rosengard, the Butler is a stern, officious poltergeist still consumed by his duty to the maintenance of the estate. Garbed in a crisp black suit and finely polished shoes off-set by a stark white shirt, bow and gloves. From the descriptions of those who have encountered the house steward he is a tall, thin man in his mid forties with dark combed-back hair showing the first signs of grey, a neatly trimmed moustache and a pair of small golden framed glasses which hide his eyes. Those who observe proper etiquette and protocol within his gaze are said to be safe, and the spirit is often found tutting quietly to himself as the roams the vast manor's vast hallways. Personal Description: Holder of one the most trusted position of service within Rosengard the Butler has continued a hereditary legacy left to him by his father and his father's father going back several generations, having succeeded his elderly parent only a decade prior to the ghastly events that would unfold. Prim and proper to a fault, the Butler was a rigid but not unfair taskmaster in seeing to the daily affairs of the manor for his mistress and her family with mechanical precision. Reputed to have served in the armed forces for several years in order to properly understand discipline and absolute loyalty. Power Card: HALT! - The Character is frozen with fright from the authoritarian shout and unable move.
Regarding
Stark's death
I have to give the man credit, he fought off two pairs of shikai-wielding senior captains, one pair of which had their Vizard powers to rely on during the fight when necessary. Four shikai is probably worth one bankai, although for a fan reveal it would've been nice to see a least one.
I still think Kyouraku's justification of "everything is fair in battle" is bullshit, dude saw a cheap opening to deal a major blow and took it to look like a hero.
