Hard format of the old one and OS reinstall. Then all the lovely stuff I mentioned above.
Ah, had to do something similar when upgrading from Vista 32-bit to 7 64-bit, always very fun trying to rebuild a harddrive from scratch.

Hmm, lord knows wouldn't it be magnificent if he got there just as Sasuke and Sakura are leaving and Naruto is forced to fight both his former teammates with Kakashi. For all his grand speeches that kind of personal betrayal might force him to actually consider the world realistically for a moment. Edit /headdesk Why Kishi, why do you taunt us with potentially interesting storylines and then fall back on pathetically clichéd ones you've featured in your own manga three times already ? I mean come on, Kakashi vs Sasuke ? Sasuke's just gone through a Kage level fight, is confirmed to be half blind right now and Kakashi hasn't fought decently since Zabuza. Hell at this point they might just about have equal chakra levels. Yes you're now in the same position Sarutobi was with Orochimaru and as Jiraiya was with Nagato, hell you might actually stay dead this time around if killed. I mean seriously what the hell is the aim here ? We've known, Konoha in general has known that Sasuke is a self serving dick for the last God only knows at this point, yet suddenly we're supposed to be surprised he's evil ? And Karin, Chidori through the damn chest and she's still alive and likely going to survive ? Naruto is also likely bounding towards this fight at speed, just quick enough to see Sasuke run yet again. I just genuinely lack words to describe my disgust here, I never full expected Sakura to betray Konoha but do we really need to retread the same story again and again and again.

I heard someone say it on BleachAsylum that there was to be a break. Hopefully they're wrong but Kubo does have a tendency to drop awesome plot moments and then take a break or switch locations for a while.

Typical, the only options being American vernacular. Boo we must speed up our plot lest we be consumed. They're generally referred to as soft drinks or fizzy drinks over here, and of all of those on offer I'm partial to a regular Coke, occasionally a 7-Up or Club Orange otherwise.
Reinstalling everything on your computer is a touch aggravating. Slightly less aggravating but no less time consuming is trying to remember all your old bookmarks and finding them again.
New hard-drive/computer ?

True enough, hence why I said generally as opposed to always. Actually it's more common in Bleach than in Naruto where deaths don't usually involve flashbacks, so now I'm even more concerned she'll live (although whether or not she's a Greater Demon of Nurgle is up for debate).
-
Well, the fact she has a flashback is generally indicative of death in manga.
My interest has not been rekindled at all even I did like the Sasuke and Danzo fight. I'm hearing that Karin's alive... Why? She's a pointless character and she just don't need to be around anymore dangit. If Kishi's about to turn this into another Dragonball where no one stays dead then I might as well get ready to drop this [strike]for good[/strike] again.
Ah, must have misread that, I thought Karin was confirmed dead in that chapter. Still with all that damage unless Sakura, or someone else, heals her she has to be dead before too long.
I didn't notice it was bleeding until I walked all over my white carpet floor in my room.:animedepr Any advice for getting out the stains?
I've heard carbonated water (soda water over here) and baking soda are supposed to work quite well. Probably best to ask an older relative (grandparent's generation or older), they tend to know a vast amount of ways to remove stains. An easier method would be to roll the body up in the carpet and dispose of it.

Wasn't the Human Reaper supposed to be ages away from completion though ? I recall Miranda (or someone) saying that hundreds of thousands, if not millions more humans would be needed just to provide the organic material to finish it, not even taking into account the technological requirements. The Reaper was probably in the foetal stages, hence why a small group with heavy weapons could take it down when Sovereign needed several fleets attacking it before it was destroyed. I do agree it was a kind of lame (and predictable) end to the game though. What I don't get though is that if they knew Sovereign was killed by the humans, why was Harbinger the only awakened Reaper involved ? Seriously you kill Sovereign and they act as if it's nothing and yet defeating the Collectors and the proto-Reaper invokes the wrath of the entire Reaper armada ? BS. They had two years while you were being put back together to get into the Milky Way from dark space, makes no sense they'd wait unless there's a 3rd active reaper who's been passing information back to the armada and told they you'd been killed and the Council had basically ignored the reapers again. Well well, if the unconfirmed spoiler over on NarutoFan is true I must say it's one of the more interesting twists of recent chapters. I have a feeling it's probably fake, but if it isn't I'll be pleasantly surprised. My, my, my, the spoiler has apparently been confirmed. Still this is probably just
Sakura's way of getting close enough to Sasuke to attempt her assassination
but on the off-chance that it isn't (yes, with Kishi I'm a pessimist for good plots) then may I say I may just have had my interest really rekindled.
****!!!!!! I knew it was gonna turn out to be an illusion, but I did not expect that at all. I'll wait for further spoiler info or the actual release of the chapter before saying what I really want to say. But if that is indeed true, my faith in Kubo has been restored, just a little.
Quelle bonne surprise. ...or not, seeing as I called it as an illusion a while back. Am I bit surprised he targeted Hinamori out of all people, but then he's been baiting Hitsugaya for ages and it seems we may have ourselves a suicide charge. Lulz, Hitsugaya is doing a Cell Saga Gohan, except you know he's probably just going to kill another person he cares about. Dear God, two potentially great chapters of manga in one week ? I'm now becoming suspicious. Hmm, just read the raw and there is one glaring problem. No chapter next week! T_T

Watched Sword of the Stranger last night after missing the university's Anime Society's showing of it last semester. Pretty good movie overall, particularly the fight scenes (I swear Luo-Lang thought he had a lightsaber in the end), a good way to spent 102 minutes if you're a fan of the samurai/ronin/man with no name genre.

This is far less obnoxious than I intended it to be.

I would say I fail to see how, but then you'd show me and I'd need to kill you, and that would leave me both a minion, and an apprentice short.

[OFFICIAL] The OtakuBoards Nifty Fifty of 2009 - Nominations
Gavin replied to Shy's topic in General Discussion
Alright now that Shy has added his list the Nomination period is officially over and we'll be moving on to tabulate and select the winners. Winners thread should be up in a week or two, what with all the graphics we have to design. -
Well, if you're planning corporate conquest, I would think that's for the better. It comes pre-shrouded in mystery, so you don't have to bother to purge all of its stock information and bookkeeping history from the public records like last time.
You forgot the part about making key figures disappear as well, but essentially yes. However while useful after corporate takeover the lack of information now makes gauging the evils of it's current owner difficult.
Both you and Brasil make good points, and I agree with some of them. I guess what I was really trying to say was that I believe the reason they destroyed everything Shepard worked for in the first game, as well as making most of the original Normandy's crew move on with their lives, was to show that the player (Shepard) cannot truly control what other people in the world do, even his crew. In the second game, Shepard, despite the destruction of the Normandy and his temporary death, still retains his conviction. He still pursues the Reapers, even when most of the Normandy's surviving crew moves on with their lives. They gave up, even when Shepard didn't. You can't convince them to return, because they don't want to return. They've made their own lives since the attack on the Normandy, and unlike Shepard, aren't willing to put their personal convictions aside just to help you, despite their awareness of the threat. It sucks. It sucks really bad. But growing attached to your original crew and having them taken away makes the game more real. Sometimes, realism blows. Also, remember that how you ended the first game, and whether or not you imported save data from the first game to the second, can affect certain important elements of the second game. As a default in ME2, the old Council is destroyed and a new, all human one rises to power. Gavin, you had a completely different gaming experience because of this. All of my original game data was inexplicably wiped, so I was forced to play the second game with consequences that I didn't bring about. This gives us a different outlook on the game. Although I will agree that I made a critical error by saying the Collectors were the greater threat. We know that the Reapers are, but I was just trying to say that they take the place of Saren and the heretic geth.
I had actually meant to talk about the vanilla game, like you I lost my savegame so I just downloaded one pretty similar to it to work off of. I actually really didn't like that they went with death of the Council and destruction of the Citadel fleet but of the two I suppose it was the one closest to the new darker storyline. Might actually play a vanilla game through just to see the differences. I also actually somewhat agree with you about your old teammates (or some of them rather) not returning, aside from those in Project Lazarus you've been assumed KIA (well, you were KIA but that's beside the point) by the galaxy at large. It's only natural with your death your teammates wouldn't have anything holding them together and would begin to drift apart finding their own lives again, or finding new purpose in the galaxy. Wrex had a completely valid reason for not rejoining you, without him, chances are the Krogan will be death entirely before too long. Same for Tali, she has responsibilities of her own on the Flotilla. Garus to me at the end seemed set to return either revitalised to C-Sec or join the Spectres (what happened from there I don't know). Ash and Kaiden are a bit more difficult, seeing as they served under you (although you flying in Cerberus' colours should give them pause) and I really don't like what happened with Liara (if only because she was my romance in ME1). Still given how long Asari live she may have grieved and moved on with her life. That said, I do agree with Brasil that it seemed a bit forced with the destruction of the original Normandy, wiping the slate clean a bit too thoroughly for my tastes.
I FRACKING KNEW IT.:animedepr
And yet you had it in your list of evil things I wouldn't do. Ahh good times, puts me in the mood for venison.
Really? I can think of a few evil things that I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be willing to do...
Banning Gurren Lagann in ever corner of the world, shooting Bambi's mom, burning a book store, etc.

Regarding the second, you never did see the hunter's face.
