Heh thanks for the additional messages guys, I actually bought the Pro a couple of days after I made this thread because I realised the extra capacity in the hard-drive wasn't that important and the newer Pros have HDMI sockets anyway so it didn't make any difference.
When it gets beyond that point you can use the famous Vegeta quote.... :p
Heh already have dibs on doing it, although I think he's not posting just to prevent people saying it. :animesmil Actually isn't this one of those situations which calls for Des to do something outlandish ? Along the lines of Loveshack and...Caramelldansen. [Edit] Well, it's now officially OVER 9,000!!!!
Please, if anything this is a love triangle. Kisame is still in love with Samehada who ran off with Killerbee. Clearly, Kisame is an abusive partner. Even if Samehada was cheating, that kick was totally uncalled for and very traumatizing. Would you expect an empathetic weapon to stand by and let you cut off the business portion of its true love's body? I didn't think so. Does anyone know any good therapists? That last paragraph disturbed me deeply.
Ace...I'm disowning you for that. Papa's brain can only take so much abuse before it dies and you're slowly but surely pushing me in that direction.
I always think eggnog tastes okayish, then I remember THAT tidbit and it makes me go "ewwwwww". I dunno why but eggs and milk together, regardless of whether cooked or raw, always makes me gag.
Given that the base ingredients are somewhat similar, I'm semi-curious if one (can attempt to) make omelettes out of eggnog ?
Oh for the love of Pete. The sword is a puppy.
Personally I find the growing Kisame/Killerbee pairings trend coming about because of this most disturbing.
Magus, Gavin, you gotta give eggnog a shot... its a once a year treat. take a tea cup sized glass of eggnog, put some cinnamon on top, enjoy.... now if you like that as much as i did, you will have no problem blending in obscene amounts of alcohol in it... or not, your choice.
As I said, if I wish to have an alcohol in a drink I will simply drink alcohol, likewise if I wish to have dairy I will drink milk...and if I want to drink eggs...well...I shall have the Rocky theme playing in the background to make it slightly less weird. Combining all three together and calling it a desirable beverage is an American concept which bewilders me frankly.

Ah fair enough then, my disappointment is lessened considerably.

Hmm something of an upturn this week, apparently Kisame's h4xx0r sword prefers the taste of calamari to flake. That and he's lost the jacket in regular form as well, so he's definitely screwed.

Funtime Thread of Humor and Mirth (and Junk.)
Guess I'd better join the cell, then. Hey Gavin, how's the virgin situation lookin' in OB Heaven? Still enough to go around?
Sure, uh, I'll keep the women and you guys can divvy up the dudes. Should be plenty to go around then. :p I've also never had eggnog, not have any desire to drink it. Americans fascination with adding alcohol to a dairy-poultry concoction when they could just stick with the alcohol boggles my mind. Also Magus, your dislike of chicken and soup disappoints me terribly.
.......Eggnog has alcohol in it?:animedepr
You didn't know that I take it chibi ?
Perhaps so, sir, but we have England to thank for Alan Rickman and Sir Ian McKellen.
And Connery beats both. I do second Boo's notion of Ireland (naturally no bias here) but failing that our heroin addicted cousins the Scots are surely an excellent choice above the (hated) English. :p Poor Welsh don't even get a mention.

Finishing out Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd Gig because I realised I haven't done so already. Like Cowboy Bebop I've seen most of the episodes already, just out of order and decided to actually watch it in order to appreciate it a bit more as a story (and cover the explody masculine anime I was going to watch after Lucky Star). Unusually I'm watching the dub because it happens to be good and I got used to it when I watched it originally.
Don't you know that when you leave minion surveillance to other minions you will always get the genius computer hacker in that job who aides the rebellion from the inside. He will ultimately be found and captured but by then it will be to late and the hero of the rebellion will be at your doorstep. And that is why you should never trust middle-management.
True but I offer my head-hunted minions economically generous pay and conditions linked to performance which tends to prevent mishaps. Funny thing about heroes, they never can seem to match an enormous bonus for which the genius computer hacker means more new equipment to play with.
Apparently Jason Earls from the hit show Hannah Montannah, is in fact not a teenager. ...he's like 30.
Holy crap. I'd never seen the show but my God he really doesn't look 32. O_o Must be annoying as hell for him to have to have ID on him at all times to prove he's actually over 18.

I seem to remember Colordeaf...or was it someone whose username began with "C" has a large animated signature of an explosion when seemed to take forever to load on dial-up. Made posting in threads where that person had already replied a nightmare.
Okay, vaguely weird that you'd mention that on the grounds of that very avatar coming up in a conversation I had earlier today.
My minions are constantly under surveillance, often by other minions. It's better if you just get used to idea now rather than having to go through...re-education.
Yeah, so I've heard that the anime ended in quite the cliffhanger. Speaking of the manga, I did try to read it a while back, but had to stop because of some, um...
sexual thoughts roaming through the head. Causing some side effects and stuff... "coughs"
:animesmil :animeswea
Yeah that's going to happen, although the
butterfly/moth apostle
will cure you of that damn quick. All kidding aside though having watched the anime and then read the manga from the beginning (I'm normally lazy and just keep reading from where I've watched to) it does give you a much more complete version of the story because the anime really only picks two arcs and we never get to see
the Berserker armour
which is the epitome of badass.
-
I do hate this one character so far though. I can't remember his name, but
he picked a fight with Gatsu and is harboring hatred over him after he started the whole thing
.
Corkus. Yeah the best he really manages is that eventually you won't instantly want Guts to bisect him the moment he shows up on screen. When you're finished the anime Magus I'd highly advise you to read the manga, for a much more complete view of the story,

Spent half my weekend fixing my uncle's 6 year old computer because he was complaining it's slow...and he's still on dial-up...I didn't even think dial-up still existed anymore. :animesigh
If it wasn't for my curiousity of how the characters abilities looked in motion I'd actually recommend reading One Piece over watching the anime since it is fairly ugly (but it's also excuseable given the wackiness of everything), although the anime does have its moments. (I do tend to skip around a lot, too, so... yeah) Either way, do check it out.
Hmm fair enough, I don't mind reading the manga as against watching the anime, and truth be told there's always a sort of let-down when you finally see a big scene animated and it doesn't live up to expectations
the Jiraiya-Pain fight comes to mind
. If you haven't watched Berserk Magus I'd highly recommend it, it's rather grim when you get down to it but certainly worth a look.
Agh, I want to play Dragon Age, but my lappy is in no fit state to run something like that. And it's not the type of game I want to play on console, otherwise I may have already got it for my 360.
From what I've heard Kastom it is best played on a sufficiently powerful PC by comparison to either the 360 or the PS3 and that the 360's version is arguably the worst looking of all 3.
Dagflammit, Gavin. You're suppose to watch things that go boom when going through hard times.
I know my friend, it was a moment of weakness and now my OCD won't let me not finish it. Rest assured I'll find someone decidedly explosively masculine to watch afterwards to make up for it, perhaps even start One Piece early as I've planned to watch it over the Christmas break.

Anime Most twisted, disturbing character/event/whatever
Gavin replied to goldenboy's topic in Otaku Central
Berserk. Pick a volume, or heck pick a chapter and there's going to be something gruesome there. Stuff that comes straight to mind would have to be
The Eclipse
, which one would think sets the bar pretty high in regard to being twisted/demented/disturbed but Miura has exceeded himself several times since then.
Asuka's final fight
in End of Evangelion was pretty bad too. Only even seen clips but based on how bad I found the first four episodes for depression I don't think I'll even get to see it in context.
