Yes, I know I've sworn multiple times that I would never, ever watch it, and I know Crys is going to rib me unbearably the next time she sees me over this but after a bad break-up with my ex last weekend I needed something overly happy to have a look at and truth be told it does make me smile quite a bit when I watch it. Anime tenchou Meito Anizawa has also become one of my favourite characters for his Kamina-level hot-bloodedness particularly in Lucky Channel 17.[/SIZE]

Listened to a couple of tracks on Youtube and it's pretty similar to Three's usual stuff. I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of the band but it's not bad, maybe it's just been a while since I've listened to One X or Three Days Grace but there seems to be more guitar in Life Starts now by comparison. [SIZE=1]Finished out [B]Dragon Age: Origins[/B] at the weekend, technically it was 3 a.m. Monday morning but let's not get into specifics, and I have to say while it doesn't perhaps live up to all the hype surrounding it it is a truly excellent game. There's plenty of fluff for D&D fans (apparently) with decent enough explanations for those of us that are not, fantastic graphics, a gripping story that truly takes hold of the player for the 35+ hours for the first play through, quite a diverse and enjoyable set of characters (without[/SIZE][SIZE=1]Raphael Sbarge stereotypical whiner) although my one complaint would be that you can pick out the villains of the story far, far too quickly (in some cases)[/SIZE][SIZE=1]. The combat system does leave a little to be desired also, I can't decide whether it's turn-based with the option of real-time for those who want it, or real-time that gives you the option of turn-based for those who want to up the difficulty and add a bit more strategy. Either way it can feel a bit finicky at times, and I would've liked an improved ally AI rather than the tactics concept lifted from FFXII. Even with some minor flaws it's still another gem from Bioware, and I'd recommend anyone who fancies a good RPG over the Christmas break to pick it up and immerse yourself in it. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=1]Seems Kubo has resolved the hiccup in regard to Ichigo's power flux, although it still felt like a bit of an asspull to me. Even if Ichigo's regular reiatsu is twice that of a regular captain now (ZOMG Aizen parallels!) it still doesn't explain why Kenpachi is apparently able to match his new strength what with dismembering Yammy in new ways every chapter. Does this mean Ichigo's strength hasn't really grown all that much since Soul Society or that Byakuya and Kenpachi received major power-ups when nobody was looking ? With Kenpachi I'd accept the possibility he's learned to commune with his zanpakuto, or has at least tried and this isn't instinctively fighting it any more. Meh I guess we're waiting 2 weeks for any further explanations though, damn breaks. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=1]Meh I don't mind the new form really, although I'm reserving ultimate judgement until next week when we see it in action rather than a single quarter panel picture. Regarding the cloak removal = death I think it was pointed out to me after Deidara's fight although really Itachi's fight proved it immutable up to potentially this fight. Sasuke's guys cloaks didn't count because they weren't true members of Akatsuki and seemed to have a different design.[/SIZE]

[SIZE="1"]As much as I like Mayuri I have to agree, whatever results he has achieved for Soul Society in his time as 12th Division Captain cannot possibly outweigh his vast offences against morality. Sure it's been one of the main underlying concepts of Bleach for a while now that Soul Society is really not better than Hueco Mundo in the way they run things (with the exception they don't eat one another, but then they're not physically forced to). Unless you're a Shinigami you live in the slums of Rukongai, if you happen to have been born any time outside the Edo/Sengoku era you're in for a hell of a readjustment in terms of the way of life and it seems Seireitei has no interest in ever doing anything about fixing things. Sure the Quincy may have brought their own extinction upon themselves (if you continue destroying the only source of souls in the world you're in for an asskicking which leads to questions about Uryuu's new bow) but even that is considered a minor blip on Soul Society's moral map. Let's not even get into the whole Pre-Crime thing they've got going on in the 2nd Division. It would be nice to see Ichigo actually chew someone out about it, but I can't see that happen. Regarding this week's chapter I'm really pulling a O_o face. Apparently the huge gap between Aizen's and Ichigo's powers back in SS was an advantage to Ichigo because it meant Aizen nearly bisected him without bothered to hypnotise him first. The fact remains however that Aizen is more powerful than any of the Espada, Ichigo's powers are going through flux (I hope anyway because it's the only way to explain current power-levels) and Aizen may have indeed Hollowified himself after getting his hands on the Hougyoku. So basically all that means is that Ichigo has to get another power boost (or control his newer hollow form) or basically Aizen won't have to bother with shikai again when he nearly (or outright) kills this time. Anyone see Soul Society's logic ?[/SIZE]

[SIZE=1]While I'm not going to go as far as you did Magus, I would have to agree that there's a blatant homoerotic undertone between Sasuke and Naruto. Naruto does tend to act more like a battered wife than a hurt friend, as much as Sasuke hurts him he continues to make excuses based on the fact that several years ago for a couple of months Sasuke was not a complete dick to everyone around him and that slightly sojourn from dickery has earned him permanent grace in Naruto's books. But the problem here lies in the fact Naruto just won't grow up, and all the adults in the series can laud him for his guts in refusing to give up on his "friend" no matter what because it's his heroic quality. The fact of the matter is Sasuke has made his own choices for good or ill and if Naruto decides that he's going to change the viewpoint of anyone he doesn't agree with regardless of whether he holds moral superiority or not then that effectively put him in the same category as Madara and Pain. Maybe it's fair to say that Itachi warped Sasuke's thinking in trying to force him to redeem the Uchiha clan and that Naruto is merely trying to give Sasuke a chance to make his own decisions. When they meet face to face finally, and Naruto sees the full measure of Sasuke's resolve maybe things will be different as at the minute all Naruto is chasing is a shadow and second-hand information. Sasuke has been away from Naruto and Konoha for nearly 4 years and become a very different person in that time, that's something that Naruto will eventually have to come to terms with. [/SIZE]
