At first, I didn't think the boycot was to lower prices, but just to return the favor; but now that I think about it more indepth: If no one is buying your products, you lower the prices to increase business, right? So perhaps it might go down, perhaps not. Another Solution: If we want gasoline prices to be low; we need to drill in Alaska and the Artics, heh. I don't see how a few drills and a really long pipe is going to have a "deadly effect on the enviroment" in those areas. Not like much lives in Antarctica anyway. Heck, we have penguins at Seaworld!

Well, yea. It Would be absurd to do anything extreme like that. In most cases though, the choice is maybe a block out of your way; perhaps even across a realitively busy street, in which case it wouldn't be much to go to the non-import gas station. I have already thought of the nearest gas station that does not import gas, and it is not out of my way at all. I plan on going there to buy gas for however long it takes. Thanks for your response. Four years, huh? Man, it seems like only a while back I was chatting it up on AIM and in the Anime Lounge (was a different name; can't remember though...) I don't remember being there long before you, so maybe about May. Ahhh.... It feels nice. Thanks for the comment. The characters read: "Mugen" (obviously; his name). Mugen was always my favorite even since the first time I heard about it; which coincidentally was about a year ago this month. He has a Spike feel about him. Reckless, Acts on his own feelings, and somewhat selfish personality. If I remember correctly CB and Samurai Champloo were directed by the same man, weren't they not? Wait a second. Have you seen Samurai Champloo?!? Can there be English dubbs made that fast? Well I suppose it first Aired in May last year.... It actually just ended. Nice ending, too. But that's a topic for another section. I was thinking about adding some decor to the background, but with the limited space of any avatar, I thought being the most simple would work the best. Well, since you said something about it I'll see what I can throw together. I'm also working on a banner with the same image.

Wow, I never really thought I'd be back. This place brings back a lot of memories. I joined OB... man... what has it been 4 years? Somewhere around 4 years ago. I signed on AIM for the first time in a LONG time; I kinda went anti-internet social, because of various video games (it was getting crazy trying to play and chat at the same time). I saw the Love Action Ver. It was Great. I downloaded it through BT. There were only like 18 eps though... I have not seen the animated ver. nor read the magna, so I can't compare them. But if you have the time and bandwidth give them a shot. It's one of my highest recomendations. PS If you need help finding them online give me a buzz.

The thing that gets me is how can Naruto sustain himself? He has his own Apartment, his own food, a nice Bed, etc. If he is so young where did he get his money?

I guess I can understand now, what Naruto and Shikamaru went through. I also forgot about the scenes being broke apart like that, makes since. Oh yeah, remember when Gai was explaining the Chidori. He said it gained the name "Lightning Strike" b/c it Kakashi used it to hit a lighting bolt. What is that all about. Maybe I heard wrong, and he created a lightning bolt. Hmm... I loved the 66-67 Special! It was awesome. Everyone should see it. [spoiler]Yeah, I was thinking the same about Sasuke's look, I'm glad they fixed it. I love the Chidori, it looks cool. Oh, I had a question about it. When Kakashi is explaining it, he says "He is my type," I know it means he can use Chidori, but what makes him his "type?" I have no idea what the summoning circle is for, I was thinking it was to like transport some more people from the other countries. I have no idea if they can even do that or not, but it was a big circle. I think it would be great to see the Hokage in action. Also, is the other hokage a lot younger?[/spoiler]

I noticed when I started watching Anime that most Anime Characters do not appear to be Japanese. I just accepted it, and didn't think much of it after awhile. But one of friends, who I am trying to get to watch anime (all he watches is Naruto), asked out of curiousity why the charcters didn't look Japanese. I said I would find out, so here I am. [/B][/QUOTE] That's how I got into it. Over the summer with me not having anything to do, and no money to do it, I turned to my computer and I discovered Fansubs. It is pretty much what I spend most of my time online doing.

After the orginal series Gatekeepers. The company decided to come out with another edition to the series. The edition was called Gatekeepers 21. However this series was vary short and was not released on televsion but released only on video. OAV or OVA stands for Original Video Animation (Original Animation Video). This basiclly means that it was never on TV or theraters. You'll notice some Disney movies that are OAVs (ie. the ne Tarzan movie coming out. it is only in stores.) On a side note I was thinking about the notice, and I believe the title of the new series is Gatekeepers 33.

I have noticed just recently (I haven't been here for quite some time) that there are not any threads about animes that are fansubed. The only ones I see are R1s. I was just curious if there are any other OBers out there that watches Fansubs.

Just a note for you guys that really liked Gatekeepers. There is a new Series on the way!! It follows directly after the OVA. I believe it going to be released in Spring '04, not to sure though. I'll get a look out for it, and give you the latest updates.

I have a question about the music in Spiral. I want to know the names of the songs that Eyes Rutherford plays, I really only need the name of the one on episode 12 that is on the cd. If anyone knows please tell me. Thanks a bunch. -Ryuujin

The three things I would love to have. Are: 1. Kakashi's skills - Naruto 2. Kazuma's Prgramming abilty - Detective Academy Q 3. Kyuu's reasoning skills - Detective Academy Q Which would make a Genius ninja programmer with logic like a champ. That'd be sweet. Imagine how fast I could type if I moved my chakara to my hands!! Plus I'd know Japanese ~_o

I have been contemplating in my mind whether or not to go. It has always been a dream of mine to go to Japan, and a Con. I haven't been to a convention before, so that is what I was worried about: It is worth the money to go if I don't like it. BTW, I live in Florida so it will cost a bit to get me there. I would say Haruka Kanata from Naruto is the best. It is down by a J-Punk band: "Asian Kung-fu Generation." I liked it so much I ordered their CD! It should be here anyday now. After that I would say "Ask DNA" from Cowboy Bebop: KOHD I still listen do it even though I haven't watched the movie in 3-4 months. Great song. Lataz.

This series is Awesome. It is my favorite. It was released this past January in Japan, and is making its way here via fansub. There are 34 episodes and one special so far. The stroy is about Naruto on his journey to become the greatest ninja in his village(Hokage). Naruto has grown up as an orphan and has always been seen as a trouble maker and looked down upon by others, so to make the village acknowledge him he needs to be the strongest ninja ever. To do this Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura train under Sensei Kakashi. The music is great, but not at first. When you first here the music you'll think it is really weird, but after awhile you'll start humming to it. The animation is fairly good. Flows well and is crisp. The charcters were created very good. There personality conflict and personal competions add some humor. Overall, this series is a must see for anyone who likes the fighting/ninja genre. I give it a 10/10. You can get this series through BT or one a IRC client. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

My parents don't care. My mom just asks me to watch my old ones, when I ask for a new series. It dosn't bother her that I watch it, just wishes I wouldn't spend so much money on it. My dad... I don't think he even knows I watch it. I watch all my dvds in my room, so he doesn't see it. My mom would kill me if she knew how much of her hard drive is wasted on the unliscened anime I watch :p. Hopefully though I'll get my own computer and she can have about 15GB back.
