I used to use soap and water back in my teens. When I turned 19, I tried Nuetrogena face wash (after my friend recommended it) and because my skin wasn't used to it, my eyes puffed out to the point where I couldn't even open them and my skin felt like it was scalded. I had to use rose water to calm it down and some ointment my doctor gave me. Point is, your skin is so used to the soap and water routine that any change would cause a reaction. I can assure you though, that soap free cleansers are better for your skin in the long run. You could try Cetaphil cleanser or Nuetrogena cleansing milk. They both effectively cleanse the skin and are ultra gentle. There's also a cleanser call QV Wash. I don't know if it's available where you are, but if it is, I highly recommend it as a face and body wash. It's excellent and very inexpensive. Maybe later on you could try cleansers with AHA/BHA or Glycolic acid, as they are effective for deep cleansing and exfoliation. You could try Neutrogena Cream Wash. It feels more refreshing than the liquid one and doesn't dry your skin out too much. No one knows your skin better than you. I've just made a few suggestions, but you decide what's best for yourself.
Does anyone know a good alternative to sit-ups? I need to work on my abs, and sit-ups cause a pain in my back. Also, does anyone know how to improve your back?
With regards to your back, are you sure you're doing the sit ups correctly? If so then try seeing a chiropractor to see if your spine is in alignment. Otherwise you could try doing yoga, as it strengthens your spine and improves your posture. As for abs, try doing stomach crunches and/or sit ups on a fitness ball. It reduces the chance of doing the exercise incorrectly and gives you a more intensive stomach workout. Hope this helps.
Under Secretariat for the United Nations. I want to walk around in buisness suits and look all important. ^_^ The only downside is that I have to learn French. [/color']
Hey learning French isn't a downside. I'm learning French now....it's a really great language to learn :)

When I was in Primary School, I loved history. I started thinking about archaeology and that when I developed a hobbie to read about the ancient history of various countries. During high school, my fascination with Ancient History grew, but the idea of being and Archaeologist kind of faded towards my senior years, as I excelled in Mathematics and my interest in the finance world increased. Considering finance covered so many fields, I wasn't too sure what I wanted to specialise in so I studied Business. After that was completed, I landed a job in the administration field for 3 years, before I got bored and quit. After that I worked in the finance industry for 9 mths, but it wasn't really what I wanted so I left that too. Now being out of work 2 months (great holiday) I've had time to think about what I want to do and I realised that finance is the only field I have a passion for...mainly investment services. So now i'm doing my degree in Finance and i'm working my way to becoming a Financial Planner. I've also landed a great role in an investment company. Basically I am finally doing what I've wanted to do since I was 17. :D

The most unusual food i've ever eaten was a sheep's tongue. It tasted alright I guess...a bit chewy. It was a few years ago. I don't think i'll be eating it again though. I'll stick to the usual steaks and chicken.

Sorry to say, but your sister sounds like she's too absorbed with herself to take notice of anything else around her. The last thing you need is her running over a pedestrian or hitting another car. Tell her you'll teach her how to drive when she pays you for the damages to your car. When that happens she can then pay a professional for her driving lessons. I don't think you should be responsible for her irresponsibility...(if that makes sense). Your parents should be. Try being more tough on her...er...and hide your keys.

Best thing to do is not to jump into conclusions and speak to a professional marriage counsellor. They're trained to advise you on the best course of action to take. Don't stress too much. There's always an explanation for it all.

It's great to know that you are getting your life back on track. After all that's happened in your life, you deserve some peace and happiness. I truly hope that your future will bring brighter and more positive days. We don't know each other very well, but I do hold you in high regards for your strength to overcome all the hard times you've been through. Other girls in your shoes would have fallen apart completely. Anyway take care of yourself and if you ever wish to PM me you are more than welcome to. With Love Del
yeah, i like the beat in the milkshake song too. however, i think it is the single most stupid and unneeded song ever. my opinion of coarse does not effect the fact that my milkshake is in fact better than yours. damn right, it's better than yours.
Hehe..I love the milkshake song....It's great to dance to (even better when it's remixed) and it does make sense...to some...I mean I get what she's going on about :D Anyway, I find a lot of songs annoying at the moment. For example the 'Right Thurr' song...I don't even know how you spell it....That song is absolute crap and the guy sounds so nasal. I'm not a fan of rap music either.

Ah yes, I remember this so called artwork. Caused a lot of controversy when it came out. Artistically speaking, I don't find it beautiful simply because it is not the kind of art that i'm drawn to. I'm not a religious person, but I do have an interest in art and i've seen quite a few religious paintings...Some of them were embracing a certain religion....and others were mocking it, but they all had a certain meaning and were beautiful in their own way. I never found any meaning in this picture, and after I realised how it was created I was rather disgusted by it.

I once had these great highlights put in my hair....then I went all out and had the majority of it bleached....bad idea considering that I have quite dark features....it lasted for about 3 weeks before I came to my senses and went back to brown...the fake blonde look just ain't me. :p

This year I would love to have the following: A few of those really nice checkered shirts that you get in surf shops. These great shoes that I saw... Perfect for Summer parties... I have so many shoes, but it's just never enough. A few good books and the X-Men DVDs That's about it. Not asking for too much, really :)

The most recent movie I watched was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I would rate it 9/10. They couldn't have chosen a better team than Harrison Ford and Sean Connery for that movie. I've always loved the Indiana Jones trilogies, although The Temple of Doom is weaker of the three.

Plastic Surgery: Good Idea, Bad Idea?( please mature audiences only!)
Delian replied to Emme888's topic in General Discussion
I seriously suggest you reconsider your decision to get them. At 15 years of age, your body is still growing and will keep on growing for the next 3 to 5 years. Also think about the reasons behind your decision to get them.... Are they really worth the pain, risks and the finance??? (The minimum you'll be paying is around $10,000 for a surgeon who knows what they're doing!). -
All it took was some guy to realise how much of a friend your best friend really was. It's quite sad really. Fortunately, this has never happened to me. My friends and I respect eachother enough not to let something like this happen. All I can say is make some new friends...ones that aren't as petty as the other girls. As for them revealing your secrets to the public...just shrug it off like it's no big deal...and next time, try writing them down in a diary...it's garuanteed not to talk;)
