I guess I can see where you are coming from James

The example of the boy and his father is only one of many...thousands. Everyone is apologizing if they offended people and I apologize too. Honestly, I really do, but with a topic like this, people will have views that will anger others. I know I did, but I had to get my point across. I honestly did not mean to offend any cultures. However, I won't stand down from absolutely anything I have said.

It is a cycle that will continue. It doesn't seem like any of the governments want peace. Palestinian leaders do share some of the blame, as do all Governments, but I definately do not condone the inhumane killing of innocent men, women and children. This is exactly what is happening and no outside country seems to be interested in stopping.

My words did spark angry replies. I was never meaning them to the American people (and Texas was never mentioned in my post). Iraq and Iran aren't perfect, far from it actually. But neither is the American or any other Government. I know a lot of people who live in America. They're good people I haven't lived in Australia all my life. I do know and have seen war first hand. I have seen missiles fly over buildings. I have spent time in underground shelters while our homes were being destroyed. As for all of you who support the Isrealis in slaughtering Palestinians you probably don't even know a quarter of the stuff that goes on there. The media and your so called news only shows you a minute percentage, which is completely favourable to America and Isreal. Try going past your own small sheltered minds and see the big picture. I'm not racist. Please believe me. I do not hate and i'm not idealistic. I do watch as much news as I can, even foreign news, so that I can see everything that goes on, heartbreaking news and stories that most likely none of you have seen or heard because they don't put Isreal or the American Government in a perfect light. You will see them as murderers, killing palestinian women and children even, so that they don't grow up to be bombers. I've seen footage of a man with his little boy begging to the Isreali soldiers to spare him and his son because they have nothing. So the soldiers kill his boy and leave him to suffer. Please do not tell me that these people are human. They know nothing about humanity. PLEASE do NOT tell me that I know nothing because I have seen and know violence to the likes of which none of you can ever comprehend. This is my view. If it clashes with any of yours then so be it.

I agree that the September 11 attacks were horrific and wrong. But the person and party behind them were from Afghanistan, who they've probably killed by now. Iran and Iraq, although are known enemies of America had little to do with them. Personally I think George Bush and his Government are a bunch racist rednecks who are desperately looking for war. His ridiculous and pathetic speeches whether he writes them or not, are probabily intended to provoke the Middle East countries. He wants something to happen with Iran and Iraq, so that he can go on a killing rampage to destroy the countries and their people and like always justify it as part of the War Against Terror cause. Absolute b/s. I can't say how much I despise him and the American Governement. He can go to the deepist pits of hell...The sooner the better. If i've made some enemies on this board then so be it.
Originally posted by Vegitto4 cute cat bro. I have 2 cats, and now 4 dogs.
Cherish what you have... At least they all get along... I only have Clinton. He is fiercely territorial (and i'm his territory)... Thus no others pets allowed, but I don't mind.... Clinton's more than enough.

It's hard when you lose a pet. We lost 3 dogs a long time ago. But eventually you'll get over it and move on. Although, I know have a cat which has been with me for just over 6 years now. I'm fiercely protective of him and always making sure he has everything.... He's my sweetheart
Originally posted by Anna Amen ssj chic. *high five* Self-control is quite necessary in maturity. And if "goody-goody" is not being horny all the time and a little badass then I'll gladly slap "goody-goody" on my forehead any day....
Count me in Anna...I completely agree...and i'm older than the majority on this board. Although it is a personal choice, I just think it's wrong for kids who are below the age of 16 (at least) to start thinking or participating in sex.... There are more important things to be taught first.... like education, personal maturity, responsibility. I know i'm sounding like an old crow and people are probably rolling their eyes and going "yeah, yeah whatever" but I know i'm right.

83.5% for me....Although I have done this kind of test with 100 questions. I was more pure in that one, than in this.

A lot of kids and young adults, some who are even around the age of 20 use the Kids Helpline. The callers who live at home, shouldn't be afraid to use the Kids Helpline. Even if it does show up on the bill, if they don't wish to talk about it with their family then it's a choice that they should be allowed to have and people will have to accept even if they don't want to. I know, it is much easier said than done. However, kids who have problems should talk it over with their parents...even if their parents are the problem. Communication does help make things better if people are open minded and are genuinely wanting their problems to be solved. This is just my opinion on this. Considering all callers are anonomous (sp?), untill they reveal themselves, communication and counselling is all the help that the Kids Helpline is able to provide, unless serious circumstances warrant the Helpline to intervene in that person's life. Example of this is the one I gave in my earlier post.

Well, i know that the Kids Help line in Australia has saved quite a few lives. They are trained consultants and some of who are psychologists. I've heard from quite a few of you that they don't really help much. Are you talking about the one in Australia or a similar lifeline elsewhere? Anyways, there was one incident of a girl who call the kids helpline and let them know that she had overdosed and wanted to talk to someone while she dies. Well, the consultant asked if she wanted to say goodbye to anyone, and the helpline will call them. The girl wanted to say goodbye to her boyfriend. So they called her boyfriend and got the girl's address, sent an ambulance over and they saved her life. They've also helped keep kids from committing suicide (And not by telling them to go for a walk, either!!!) Ravenstorture, I think you and your friends must have been talking to a few who should be fired, if that's the kind of treament you got!!! Actually I will have to bring that point up with them. Sadly they do have prank calls , but some kids who have genuine problems, prank call to see if the consultants are actually interested in what they have to say. That's why it is policy with the Kids Helpline that the consultants never put the phone down unless the person hangs up. Basically the organisation does help thousands of kids, but it does need funding. That's why volunteering is so good.
-
I do volunteer work raising donations for the Kids Helpline in Australia. I must say that this is a wonderful organisation, which helps over 10000 Australian kids each week nation-wide, some of who are suicidal. This organisation has helped save thousands of lives. I was just curious to know what people think of these kind of organisations.
Originally posted by The Harlequin Most amusing. Slightly erroneous though, or perhaps just slightly unclear. If I annoy myself "real bad", that implies I annoy myself more than some other people annoy me, which would imply that I am more of a person than these diverse others. And what's that meant to mean? Exactly. It's an absurdity. So not only was your remark rather pitiful, it also doesn't even make sense.
Geez..... Get a sense of humour, I was joking...I don't even know you to make any serious remarks about you. Do you always make a big deal out of everything????:)
Originally posted by The Harlequin What made you think I hate everything? Actually, I hate very, very little. Just a lot of things annoy me. I don't have an attitude problem, people are just annoying basically sums up my belief.
People are just annoying basically sums up your belief.....hmmm:) Geez you must annoy yourself real bad then...eh!!! ;) :p

What annoys me...hmmm...I would have to say...hypocrites and double standards (majorly). People who brag about their intelligence when you have proven that it doesn't exist with just a few simple questions. People who talk a lot, but really never say anything. People with no sense humour. People who look down on others because of status, wealth, race, etc. Oh, and what really pisses me off is when people think that their opinions or their way of thinking is superior to others so they'd try to force their opinions on others. I mean, it's all about respecting other people's opinions and judgements.

I'd never go on a blind date... You never know what you're getting yourself into. I'd rather want to know the person before I plan on going out with them, even if I've only just spoken to them on a few occassions.

Gosh, it seems so easy for you guys in the States to get driver's licences. Here in Australia you can go for your learner's license when you turn 16yrs and you take a test for that. You stay on those for a year and you have to have had 50 hours of driving lessons before you go for your provisional (P1) licence by taking a driving test. This gives you 3 points and a speed limit of 90km/hr. You stay on your provisionals for a year before taking a hazzard perception test, which puts you on your provisionals (P2).This gives you 6 points and a speed limit of 100. THEN you stay on your P2 for another 2 years before taking another traffic hazzard test which gives you your full licence with 12 points. Phewwww!!!!
Originally posted by Cibo I want to take some kind of Martial Arts, but I only see one problem with me taking it. I'm not flexible at all...would that be much of a factor?
It's actually not that hard to increase you flexibility. Stretching alone, say for half an hour each day can increase your flexibility. Martial arts can help you to become very flexible. Otherwise you could always try yoga.

I'm starting tae kwon do and or kick boxing next month. I don't really want to go to the gym. Starting to get boring. Martial arts can be very disciplined.

Constructive criticism is good. If I ask someone their opinion about something I've done or worked on, I would expect an honest answer and if that includes criticism, then so be it. It just allows you to improve. I'm completely honest when people ask me my opinion about something. If there's a need for criticism, then I would express it, however I always give reasons for criticism and offer ideas for improvement. There is nothing more annoying than someone telling you that your work sucks without giving an explanation, and "Your work is pathetic because it just is," is not an explanation.

I'd be the new, smart chika in town....The one that everyone is so curious to know....Even when I've lived there for a while, people still won't know much about me...I'll be the one with the big smile and the secret past and I would live in a nice cottage and would spend my time working, going out or in the town library. Yep that's who I would be. :p
Originally posted by Duo Maxwell My cat runs around the house and climbs up the screen door then she drops off it and runs to the back door and does the same. She also drinks water out of anyting else but her bowl.
That is exactly like my cat. He can also open the screen door by pulling the handle down and if it gets stuck then he climbs up the screen door and puts his hind legs on the handle so his full wieght can pull it down....Amazing

If someone is bulimic, by the time the acid start rotting away their teeth, it would have already done extensive damage to the asophagus (sp?). It's why some people who have bulimia experience heart-burn like pain in their chests and along the digestive track, and mistake it for indigestion and/or heart burn.
