  1. Honestly you should be comfortable the way you are...and there are many places you can get swimsuits that are not designed for stick figures... However, if you are overly self-conscious (sp?) about your body wieght then do something about it...eat healthy filling meals, reduce your starches and sugar intake and exercise for at least 40mins each day. What you should not do is get over-stressed about it, cause that definitely won't help your situation. Just be happy with yourself and don't feel guilty about enjoying your food :)
  2. Different people, different emotional behaivours. Not crying doesn't mean you're insensitive or anything... you just deal with your emotions in a different way.
  3. There are quite a few movies that make me think...not just in a 'hope they bring out a sequel way' but also in a more 'wow' that movie had depth. The Green Mile and Philedelphia would be among my list...but the one movie which really got me was a foriegn film called No Man's Land.

    T.V. Show

Non anime shows...I would have to go with the Simpsons, Stargate, Roswell, Angel, Dark Angel, Alias...Buffy is gone!!! I also watch X Men, whenever I get the chance and various other animations.
  5. Give me one person who has never told a lie and I will be trully impressed!!...Honestly, everyone tells white lies. I suggest you let this go...If anything, he'll feel annoyed and embarassed about you asking him regardless of whether his relationship existed or not.
  6. If boxing is what you are pursuing then best of luck to you... It's a real challenging sport, but you sound like you're strongly committed to achieving the goals you've set for yourself.
  7. Your rank is based on the number of times you've posted. I think you reach junior level at 250 posts, member level at 500 and Otaku at 750 posts.... I think those are the right amounts.
  8. I see no reason to be afraid of the sight of blood. I've seen mine so many times resulting from accidents or blood tests that it just doesn't bother me. What would bother me is the reason for the blood...it's O.k if it's gushing out of you for medical purposes, but a dreaded feeling goes through me when someone or something has been seriously injured and there's blood everywhere.
  9. I played touch footy outside of school for a while... It was cool until the team split. Then one of my friends tried to get me playing tennis....considering I watch the game, I thought it'd be cool enough. Unfortunately, after I kept hitting the ball over a 3m fence he gave up on me....I would love to try it again though...I'm sure I can be good at it. For now I do kick boxing. I've been doing it for a few months and I'm enjoying it. It can be very painful and sometimes you leave the place limping...but it's absolutely wonderful, although I doubt i'll ever seriously compete.
  10. I enjoy having some time alone. I love being left alone to read or write....or just to listen to music and be engaged in my own thoughts. Sometimes it just clears your mind and makes you feel more organised and in control of things. However, I do enjoy company. I don't like big crowds so i've always had a small group of friends. It's nice to have someone to talk to or to hang out with, whether it's a friend or a member of your family... I just love knowing that there are people around who'll be there when I need or want them to.
  11. You are a truly wonderful person Deb. The most important thing now is for you to regain your strength and do your best to recover. You'll be in our thoughts and we will miss you. All the best Luv
  12. Well there was this one time where I found a small feather in a wagon wheel....like chicken feathers...wasn't too happy about that. Once at a family gathering, we had an outdoor barbeque which went well into the night. Well I had left a corn cob sitting on a window sill to cool and when I took and bit into it, I got a mouthfull ANTS....the bloody critters were all over my corn cob and I didn't see them in the dark.
  13. Honestly if you're looking after yourself, then a heart murmur is no threat. I've had it for years and it hasn't gotten in the way of my health. You mentioned that you do cross country running...well keep doing it. Cardio-vascular excercise is one of the best ways to keep your heart and lungs strong. Just don't smoke anything and i'm sure you'll be fine...Worrying and stressing will only makes things worse, which you really don't need.
  14. Well when I was growing up, my brother, sister and I loved playing with Lego, marbles and a pack of cards. We used to build the planes out of lego pieces and play fighter jets. It was cool and we used to create buildings and cars with no wheels and boats and stuff. Legos Rocked:D We also loved playing with marbles...trying to win the biggest and nicest ones. Cards is heaps fun if you know how to play the games especially poker, although I haven't played it for ages. Besides boardgames and cars with racing tracks or remote controls, toys now are kinda boring. I mean i've never owned a barbie and all these dolls based on characters from movies and stuff is just plain boring.

    Username?

My username Delian is derived from an ancient army known as the Delian League. Del is completely different. It comes from a book I read once about a woman with a sword. It was a really good book. My real name means God's creative gift or Divine creativity in everything...It's also an ancient city similar to the Aztecs. So it really all depends on how you look at it.
  16. I love going to the gym. I can run 10km in under 50mins, but I also use other cardio machines like the bike and the stepper. I do weights, and although I can lift a fair bit, I only do it in a class 3 times a week, otherwise it gets boring. I like the speed of the cardio machines. I do a body balance class twice a week, which is kinda a mixture of yoga and pilates. I've also got my kick boxing classes. When it's Summer, I'm always swimming or walking along the beach so I guess that is also excercise. I try to maintain a healthy eating habits with a slip up on the chocolate and redskins and nougat every now and then.... otherwise it's old fashioned traditional home cooked meals. I eat out once in a blue moon and i'm very picky with my food. I don't each much bread or starchy food like rice or spaghetti cause they make you feel ugh! I'm more of a meat, seafood and vegies girl.
  17. I have 5 peircings and a tatoo on my lower stomach. I won't get any more peircings but I'm planning for another tatoo, but it won't be for a while.
  18. I have had so many painful moments resulting from accidents, that my parents thought I was cursed. I've slashed my nose to the bone right between my eyes, which resulted in a scar that I've had for almost all my life. I once wrapped my hands around a cactus which resulted in 2 hours of people trying to pick the spikes out of my skin with tweezers. I had a chair fall on my foot, ripping a whole nail off my toe. I ripped the skin right of my knee once and that became an ugly scar. I've fallen numerous times, the most painful one resulted in shattring a tooth in my mouth and damaging my chest bone which never heeled properly. Those were painful moments, but the most painful was when I burnt myself with an iron. I swear, burns don't stop hurting until they heal. Luckily some of those accidents could have had much worse results. I mean according to other people's painful experiences, mine seem so insignificant. That's how I tend to think of whenever I injur myself. As for emotional pain, I tend to deal with that on my own.
  19. Confront him regarding his change of attitude. Don't do it in an aggressive way, just ask him why he's being different. There could be a few reasons for his change in attitude. If he considers you as his best friend then i'm sure he'll say something to you if you ask him.
  20. Well I love the good old ferris wheel. Ever since I was little. I live 30 mins from Australia's Wonderland which has great rides, but I've always loved the ferris wheel:D

    Style?

I much prefer Version 6. I tried the other 2, but the colours just aren't right. I like the dark colours in Version 6
  22. Well I'm from NSW. I live in Liverpool, which is South West of the city. Quiet area. Don't know of any Otaku people living around me. Actually, I think the closest person would be Enigma....and Wollongong is about an hour's drive away.
  23. I have to agree with the above posts. You being too young is a good reason, but admitting your feelings could put both of you in an awkward position and could possibly ruin what sounds like a perfectly great friendship..... Give it time, when you both are more grown up and a little more mature, if your feelings are still there then you can tell him how you feel. For now, just enjoy what you have :D
  24. Oh Deborah...I can't tell you how sorry I am. What a truly tragic loss this is. I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I know how precious Christophe was to you. My heart goes out to you. All my love and prayers for you and your family
  25. Oh...Please forward on my congratulations and very best wishes to Deb. I'm so happy to know that they're both doing well. The baby is quite premature, but i'm sure he'll be very healthy and strong in no time. Oh...this is such joyful news!!!! Once again...Congratulation Lady M:)
