2. Hey I liked the Panic Room. I thought it was pretty good:confused:

Chicago

I loved Chicago. I went and saw it in the theatre when it came to Sydney and I thought the move was great. Richard Gere was excellent as the lawyer and I absolutely loved Catherine Zeta Jones...she was marvelous in her role and very sexy. However, Renee Zellwegger (sp?) did not appeal to me at all..I think they did a bad job of casting her of all people as Roxy. At least they should have cast someone who filled out their costume a little better, as those costumes require cleavage. Other than that I thought the movie was fabulous and I love the soundtrack.

T.a.T.u.

I'm not much into that kind of music but I quite like Tatu. I heard the song before I saw the clip and thought it was pretty cool. When I saw the video clip all I saw were two girls with pretty good voices. The fact that they were lesbians showing some harmless affection towards each other went right over my head. I didn't see it as being offensive in any way. I guess if Goerge Bush wants to ban Tatu, maybe he should also ban Christina Aguilera for showing 2 guys making out in her 'Beautiful' video clip and numerous other 'contraversial' displays in the media these days
5. If I had that kind of money I would: Help out all my relatives overseas who really could do with the money. I would make sure that my parents and my brother and sister have enough to last a lifetime. Build a successful business (probably in advertising) and invest a good chunk of the money to last for future generations. Naturally I would educate myself in the ways of investing so I can protect my assets and anticipate the next market crash I would of course donate to various charities and organisations and make sure I keep updated on where the money is going and how much progess is being made. I would travel the world and not on a working holiday. I would stay in beautiful places and purchase a few houses and apartments in various countries. Basically I would just live it up to the full extent and help anyone who is genuinly in need of help.
6. I used to collect comic books a few years back. X-Men, Spiderman, Simpsons were my favourite and I got up to about 70 before I lost heaps of them to the recycling bin. I had kept them in this carton box and when we moved house, someone from my family thought they were recyling trash and...yeah...bummer!!! I've still got 3 comic books that were saved from the scrap heap. I've had them for around 10 years now. I have a really small collection of pez dispensers. I don't really have a favourite though. I use all of them.:)
7. Some older people just don't know any better. They were born in a generation where body piercings, tatoos and goth/punk styles were not very socially acceptable and only existed among people who weren't "normal". Although today's society is very accepting of the alternative, your're almost always going to come across people who disapprove of goth/punk style or having several piercings/tats, but honestly...who cares. Who are they to judge what kind of person you are from your outward appearance.... Where I worked, laptops used to get stolen quite frequently...by employees...dressed in suits...go figure!!! My opinion is go with what makes you feel good...even if it's your nose ring chained to your multiple earings or whatever :whoops:
8. I've had heaps of funny moments that can be classed as embarassing. Once me and a few friends were at the beach and one of the straps on my bikini top kept falling down my arm whenever a wave hit us. Anyway I didn't realise this big wave was coming until it hit me on the back and dunked me in the water. When I got up my friends looked at me and pissed themselves laughing. I thought it was because of the seaweed on my head but when I looked down, I realised my bikini top had....uh....moved considerably to reveal just about everything. I quickly re-adjusted myself, but by that time a bunch of guys had noticed and were whistling and laughing. I had to laugh, it was halarious. Lucky the beach wasn't too crowded...lol
9. You have a situation that involves your 2 best friends and a girl. If you don't want to cause any conflict between you and your mates, then it's best to just stay out of the whole situation. The girl needs to decide who she wants to be with. You don't need to be helping her in any way.
10. I'm not much into modern history, but i've always loved learning about Ancient and Medieval history. To learn about how civilisation existed so many centuries ago is very fascinating. Actually coming out of highschool I had my mind set on studying Archaeology, but my parents didn't approve so it became just an interesting read.
11. What you have here is an opportunity to go to the school you have dreamed about and friends who are being very selfish, considering they know how much going to this school means to you. I strongly suggest you go to that school. This would be a great educational opportunity for you. There are other means of keeping in contact with your friends and there's always weekend and holiday visits. If they were true friends, they would be happy for you right now instead of trying to hold you back
12.
Originally posted by anime_gurl My mom has to do some interview thingy for a bible study class she's in. She has to ask people who don't go to church: 1.) What thoughts or words come to mind when someone says, "Church" 2.) Give two reasons why you don't go to church 3.) What qualities do you think a church needs to be a "good" church? I'd greatly appreciate it if just one of you answered these. My mom is pretty desperate... (It's kinda scaring me)
1 - Politics more than anything else 2 - a) You don't need to go to Church to find God. He is everywhere b) Considering my religion is highly uncommon, our place of worship only exists where I was born...and I wasn't born in Australia. c) A good church should be respectful of other religions and be open-minded. It should focus on its people and helping the community without judging those who are different.
13. Cube is 50 cubic meters. It's made of the onyx stone (black) and is on the ground. The ladder is 50m high. It's made of made of steel and it's leaning on the cube. The horse is made of the onyx stone with amber eyes. It's a small horse (roughly around 0.3m length x 0.12m high) and is on the first step of the ladder.
14.
Originally posted by cloricus Though having said that you guys don't know all the facts. (Either do I but hear me out.) Delian how do you know that it was the hospitals misjudgement, or that there was not some law that required them to do it? (The cutting the life support.) :)
When I said hospital is liable for negligence.. well isn't it? Isn't the hospital at fault when the doctors make that kind of error? In legal terms, I mean. (If not then my bad) Do you know anything more than what Lady M has written? If so, I would like to know...:)
15. I stick to V6. I like darker colours as opposed to bright and pale...Liquid is too bright and too pale and industrial is too bland.
16. I'd have to agree with Lady M on this one. The doctors displayed very careless judgement and what right do they have to pull the plug without parental consent... In my opinion the hospital is liable for its negligence and inconsideration for the family... I think the family should take legal action...if they haven't already.
17. Example 1 I'd tell her no and keep on play fighting until we both give up...she'll get over it Example 2 If the outfit looks bad, I definitely tell her it looks bad...and I'd go with her to return it and choose something better. If she was a good friend she'd understand that I wouldn't want her to embarass herself at the dance. Example 3 I'd tell her that everything will be alright no matter what happens. I'd let her know that she'll be in my prayers and that i'll be there for her...or something like that.
18. It all depends on the situation and who i'd be lying to. If it was a really close friend and the lie wouldn't effect me in any way, then yes I would. Otherwise, I'd tell the truth or just stay out of it... Truth comes out eventually.
19. Stay with your girlfriend... It seems like the other girl is attracted to you now because you're with someone else and she sees a challenge.
20. I think the best revenge is when you do something to make the other person feel guilt or remorse for what they did. It doesn't mean you have to lower yourself to their level or to inflict physical pain. Sometimes the best revenge is to walk away and not have anything to do with them. I'm only referring to people that you know or are close to you.
21. Congratulations Deborah. A baby can be a great blessing, even though it's not the best time for you to be pregnant However, although you would make a terrific mum, I do have to say that you have around 7 or 8 months to get your act together and find out what you are going to do with yourself and also how to handle the situation when your husband finds out....(I'm quite sure that you've thought about all this, but I am a little concerned:)) It's good that you've quit smoking and you're taking better care of yourself. Just make sure you start planning the future for you and you're baby. Does your family know? How do they feel about your pregnancy? (If you don't mind me asking:) )
22. I am so terribly sorry. I think almost everyone knows how much you adored your brother and my deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. I pray that you will find comfort in the wonderful memories that you have and the time,(however little it may be) that you spent with him. You never got your chance to say goodbye but he knew how you felt about him...As long as he lives on in your heart, he'll never be truly gone. I know words can provide little comfort from the helplessness that you feel, but just know that your brother is at peace now... You're a beautiful girl and Eric must have been the luckiest kid to have a sister like you. Again, my deepest regards for you and your family.
23. I'm so sorry for your loss. Suicide is such a sad way to go and at such a young age too...but these things happen and unfortunately there's not much you can do about it...life has to go on.
24.
Originally posted by Lady Macaiodh What is the job you just took, & what was it you really wanted to do? Do you think your dream was unrealistic? Is it possible that you could still do it one day? Heh, I'm still gonna be a rock star. Why don't we just start a band?
Hehe..becoming a rock star...now that's a dream!!! Let me know if you need a drummer...or a singer;)
25. Chain letters and good luck letters are just annoying crap. The bad luck thing is complete B/S and whoever sends them is being ridiculous. I just delete the letters/emails without bothering to read them. I know how annoying they can be and I don't want to annoy other people by sending it to them.
