I originally came here because I was interested to know more info on Gundam Wing. Now I just like coming here when I get the chance. There are so many great people here. I'm not sure if I made many friends or not, but that doesn't matter. I have enjoyed discussing some of the threads and reading the stories/poetry written by members. I don't think being here has changed my life in any way. I can definitely live without it, but right now i'm enjoying the time I spend here.

The father of a close friend died around Christmas time from a stroke 2 yrs ago. That was extremely bad. He seemed like such a good man, always welcoming and willing to have a conversation whenever I was around at their place. Their place felt really empty afterwards. The anniversary of his death is coming up soon. Not a very good time for my friend's family.

I find them and their music absolutely ridiculous. I don't like them at all
-
I liked the whole chilly/ghostly factor of the story. Not bad for a short story.

Bryan, your story is coming along great. I don't have anything to offer in terms of advice, cause the other guys have already mentioned them but keep the great work and don't make me wait too long for the rest of it...o.k:)

Great so far, although I do hope it's not from any personal experience... Please continue:)

The few movies that have had a effect on me would have to be the following: Mississippi Burning Philadelphia Life is Beautiful Evita The Hurricane I'm sure other movies have had an effect on me, but not like the above. I also have to agree with Matt. Band of Brothers did have an effect on me. The first episode especially, was quite emotionally shocking. Lets just say I've been through half a box of tissues for almost every episode.
Originally posted by Sara What does 'world bank' mean, exactly? I don't quite understand.
The World Bank Group is made up of a number of Financial and other institution, including the International Develpment Association, Int. Bank for Reconstruction & Development, Investment Agencies and one other i'm not sure of. I think it might be an International agency for disputes and setlements. The World bank is one the largest sources of assistance for developing (poor) countries. I don't think it should be charging that amount of interest, however, the organisation is assisting over 100 nations with various poverty reducing strategies including infrastructure, health and medicine, education, etc.

There is only so much advice and guidance you can give to a person in this kind of situation. If she keeps on running to you for sympathy and advice...and then just turns around and runs back to this guy, then why waste your breath. Next time she complains to you just let her know that you are tired of repeating the same advice to her. If she's too pathetically weak to get rid of him, then she'll learn her lesson the hard way.

I personally enjoy the show. It's quite entertaining. Although some of the issues might portray reality, the rest of it ain't bad.

I don't see how anyone can say she is a slut unless they personally know that she is, and what she does in her private life is her business. I mean if displaying a sexual image generates more money then good for her. She has an amazing voice and great talent. I wouldn't call her a slut. Madonna is one of the most exceptional artists of our time. Otherwise, she wouldn't still be as popular today as she was back in the 80s. These are my views anyway:)

Madonna and the Die Another Day (next James Bond movie) theme song
Delian replied to BondFanatic's topic in Noosphere
I love the song. I love everything about it. I love Madonna. She is an exceptional artist. It is different for a James Bond movie, but different is good. -
Yeah, you don't see much of Speedy these days, but he was such a smart and cute little mouse. I don't see how he could have offended anyone.

I've always loved Tweetie and Sylvester. They are very entertaining in what they get upto. I also love 'the fastest mouse in all Mexico' Speedy Gonzales. All of these characters are extremely entertaining.
-
I love Farscape. I used to never miss an episode. Now, i'm not really sure if it's still showing in Australia. It's too bad. Actually majority of the shows I loved have either been cancelled or are going to be cancelled. Not good

Geez, this kid sounds like a major loser for using you like that. He really doesn't deserve your friendship. I say you should involve his parents in the situation and maybe your parents too. He used the account, he should pay. Who cares if you lose his friendship over it. There are better people out there who deserve your friendship more than this jerk. Anywayz Good Luck:)
-
Well if you're willing, you could always try to compromise and split the whole bill in half. He should at least agree to that, considering you'll be paying as much as him.
-
It was a pretty silly move to put the account under your name. I suggest you inform his parents of the situation. It does seem like you guys aren't going to be friends for long. It's unfair for you to pay that much money if he was the one running up your bill. I'd get my money from him if I were you, but don't go to court over it.

I liked her first single, Complicated. That is, until I heard her sing live. What a shocker. Hardly any vocal talent. Put me off.

I'd have to agree with Cera on this one. I don't think it was right of you to get rid of him just because he came late to practice (if it was a one-off thing), regardless of whether he lied to you or not. He probably had other reasons that aren't any of your business but he felt like he had to give some sort of excuse. Late turn-ups and no shows happen all the time in rehearsals. I think the director's decision for kicking him out was based on his past conflicts with the actor. You should have also considered other factors like the ones Cera mentioned. It seems you and the director acted out on personal feelings rather than considering what's best for the team and the show.

Well I guess my hobbies would have to be Touch Footy, computers, dancing (clubbing more like it!), going to the gym, running, reading, going to the movies (when I get that rare chance), listening to almost all kinds of music (I love music)... and the usuals sleeping, eating, drinking ;)

Well here's more news from Australia It's not even Summer yet and bush fires have already started. We already have fire bans, and soon we'll be having to watch the news to see if we are allowed to have a barbeque or not, not to mention having to restrict our water use. This is just in NSW. Great, when Summer comes, so will the ashes and smoke blowing into our backyards. Otherwise, Summer in Sydney is just great!!!

I visited the Otaku Chat on two or three occasions. Wasn't very interesting. The topics never made any sense. I'm not really into chatrooms anyway

I lose interest in people quite easily, so I don't have many friends. I am a popular person and everyone...well... adores me at work and other places, but I wouldn't consider them friends, as it isn't a word I use lightly. They're more like mates to hang out with whenever. The friends I do have took me ages to find and they are people I cherish. My bestfriend and her twin are two people I would do anything for and vice versa. We share similar interests, characteristics, and we think on the wave length, while still having our own differences in personality. Other people who I consider friends are also wonderful and even though I don't see them that often, I still talk to them always and even though our interests might be different, we still have an awesome time with eachother

Gosh....I'm so over Big Brother. The first one I watched out of curiousity. The second one, I hardly paid attention to it and Celebrity Big Brother is just a waste of a time slot on Channel 10.
