Originally posted by Endymion I've been watching Nick-at-Nite for as long as I can remember. I love watching old sitcoms like I Love Lucy, Mr. Ed, Dick Van Dike, and Bewitched. Those shows were great. And back then, they made twice as many episode per season as they do now. The jokes were cleaner, but they were still funny. If I weren't born in the 80s, I'd feel old from watching all of these black-n-white shows. Does anybody else like shows made before 1970? (bit of trivia) Q: Actor Bob Denver is most famous for playing what character from what TV show?
Bob Denver was the famous Gilligan from Gilligan's Island. I know exactly what you mean. I loved old T.V shows...Mr Ed, I dream of Jeanie, Bewitched were great, as were Happy Days, The Monkeys and so many others. My ULTIMATE favourite....one that I will watch forever in a day would have to be Get Smart. Agent 86 (Maxwell Smart) was my clumsy hero, as was 99 and the chief. Not to mention the villians were absolutely halarious.:)

I think you need to bring up the issue of trust. You know your parents don't trust your friends because of their bad habits. They think you are going to be influenced by them. The fact is, your parents don't have to trust anyone......except you. Explain to them in a calm manner that they need to put their trust in you and the choices that you make. You will need to reassure them that their habits won't rub off on you. You will need to repeat this conversation with them a few times (also doing chores and helping out kinda works as well). One thing you shouldn't do is get angry and start yelling or cursing at them, as this will only strengthen their resolve on the issue and it will make you look irresponsible and immature. Good Luck Hope this helps
Originally posted by Yusuke I didn't know about the cursed Bond girl part. Where did you pick that up from?
It was an article written a several years back in one of the TV magazines that you get with a newspaper. Don't know if it's true, but apparently one actress got arrested for drug possesion Another wasn't able to get work in the film industry and some others wasted their lives on drugs and whatever... I'll try and get some details

What would you do if you had 17 years to live?
Delian replied to Sandy's topic in General Discussion
Well, like most people have mentioned, I'd keep on living the way I'm living now, although I've always wanted to go travelling... I'm sure i'll be wanting to do a lot of other stuff too, but travelling would be one of my priorities. Who knows....like Justin stated... he, Lady M and I would have already blasted off into space, probably to another life-sustaining planet and we'll do....um.....something...I guess :therock: ;) lol -
Yeah, were not doing too bad. I love the Commonwealth games. Olympics are even better. Go Australia.....Woooohoooo:whoops: Edit: Alright... Another gold for Australia. Women's marathon. Yeah for us...lol:p

Same here. I wasn't able to get on for two days. However, as you can tell, it's working now.:)

I'm addicted to.....Music (like most people here). All kinds of music....rock, alternative, classical (when you need a little mental stimulation). I'm into true Rythm & Blues music (not modern R&B or pop). I absolutely love dancetrance music, especially house. Delirium, Cafe Del Mar, Jamiroqui...oh there's just so many... Clubbing is the best, especially when you go to one that plays music you can lose yourself in... I can honestly say I get real high on music. I love to dance. I'm also addicted to dark Dove or Neslte chocolate, especially the ones with nuts in them...Oh they are just heavenly. I love good food... Not takeaways or anything...just delicious, traditional home cooked meals that are simply to die for. I love fitness. Playing footy, going to the gym, whatever. Kinda the reason why I can shovel food down my throat every waking hour and stay small. These are my addictions.

What does your sig/avator/user name mean?
Delian replied to Utena_Tenjou's topic in General Discussion
My username was sorta derived from two things. 'Del' is a powerful sword yielding woman from a novel I read long ago. 'Delian' is after the Delian League. If you're interested in Ancient History you might have come across it. Avatar: I don't know. It just caught my eye, I guess -

I like her song. It's very catchy. Like Endymion mentioned, I don't think she's trying to be punk at all. I wouldn't run out and buy her album, unless I like her other songs. She seems talented, but I'd like to hear how good she sings live on stage.

I've pulled all nighters before, when I went out clubbing mostly. I don't do it much now. It takes all your remaining energy and a whole lot of coffee and sugar to stay functioning the next day. These days, I just love my sleep. Hehehehe...Once I tried pulling it off to study....ended up falling asleep on my book 2 hours into it.

I like From Russia with Love.... Sean Connery has always been my favourite James Bond, although Roger Moore's 007 movies were very good also. Live and Let Die and Dr No are also two of my favourite. It was once written, that it was a curse to play Bond's leading lady because almost, if not all the girls who played that role, their careers went completely down the drain. Some even had their lives ruined because of it....Wierd!!!!

I am a Gauntlet Adventurer. I strive to improve my living conditions by hoarding gold, food, and sometimes keys and potions. I love adventure, fighting, and particularly winning - especially when there's a prize at stake. I occasionally get lost inside buildings and can't find the exit. I need food badly. Alrighty then!!!

HC, That's absolutely halarious. He got what he deserved. Wouldn't be surprised if the kid quit his job and never returned to those stores. Unfortunately, discrimination and ignorance will always exist.

When we were much younger, my brother and I used to get up to a whole heap of trouble. Once when we were around 5 or 6 years old, we had a major fascination with fire. We used to always light stuff (paper, grass, etc) with a magnifying glass, then quickly stomp it out. Well, there was this one time we were lighting a grassy patch near some bushland in our village (just before we moved to Aust.) and it got real windy and the fire spread so quick that most of the village was involved in putting the bushfire out. We got in into so much trouble, but being at such a young age we weren't punished severely. We should have been though, because years later we almost caused another big fire, although this one was on the farm we used to live on and it was controllable. It did leave a huge black patch that took ages to fix. I look back on it and it was pretty funny, but considering all the bushfires we have in Summer here in Sydney, we could have destroyed so much if any of those fires had gotten out of control.

Yeah, I used to watch it. All episodes actually. I really enjoyed it when it was on.

Kitty knew the homeless guy was right. She had to get her wound stitched up. She saw a small medical clinic down the road. It was too early to be opened but she walked through the doors to grab some medical supplies and fix herself. As she rifled through some medical supplies, she thought about the events of the night. Nothing from the usual, well except for her encounter with the homeless guy. She's seen a few homeless people around, but unlike the rest of them, this one was a mutant. He's definitely had it rough. Oh well, mutant or not, you choose your life. She also felt that wasn't the last encounter she'll have with him. Suddenly she heard the doors of the clinic unlock and open. Kitty quickly backed into a corner and when the lights went on, she disappeared through the wall to the outside of the building. She walked towards the front and peered through the glass to see a man collecting some files and placing them in his briefcase. Kitty (muttering to herself): Must be a workaholic. Well isn't this convenient. He looked up very startled, as Kitty opened the door and walked in. Man (very irritated): We're still closed. What do you want? Kitty: I apologize, but my arm is badly wounded. It needs fixing now. Please Sir, I know it's too early, but I really need your help. Man: Why can't you kids ever stay out of trouble. Fine, come through I'll fix you up. Kitty followed him through to one of the rooms. He removed the shirt strip and began to clean the wound, which was already showing signs of infection. Doctor: I'll need to give you a shot along with the anesthetic. It will stop the infection. It needs a few stitches. Kitty just nodded. She was feeling more exhausted than normal and wanted to get this over with. It took around half an hour to have her wound stitched and bandaged. He also gave her some gauze and a cleaning solution Doctor: Dressing will need daily changing. You'll need to come and see me in 3 weeks time, to remove the stitching. It should heal by then, but it will leave small scarring Kitty: Much appreciated. Again I apologize for taking up your time. It had been a long night and Kitty was glad to finally get home. Home was a neat studio apartment in a building near College. Her studies in computer technology lead her to score a great programming job in an It company for 3 days per week. Enough to earn a comfortable living and lifestyle. Exhausted, she had a few hours to crash before dawn set in.

I'd have to agree with Anna...I didn't realise she wasn't your girlfriend. Your bestfriend and the girl could have been upfront and honest with you, but I don't think a grudge or any hard feelings should be held here.

Meanwhile...Kitty had also heard the police sirens, while jumping from one building roof to another. She saw the cops and jumped onto the building they had surrounded. She saw Spiderman and some other guy talking to the cops, but didn't pay much attention to them. She was about to descend through the floors, when the roof door burst open. Two men came running out with 2 bags over their shoulders. Kitty: Well this shouldn't be too difficult The men swung around. Guy 1: What the hell. Who said that? Kitty ascended through the floor and came up behind the second guy. He didn't have chance to react before she gave him a blow to the head, knocking him out cold. First guy turned back to see his friend lying on the ground. Guy 1: Wrong move kid. Kitty: I think you're the one with the wrong moves tonight. The guy snarled, dropped his bag and came towards Kitty, backing her to the roof's exit door. Just as he threw a punch, Kitty disappeard through the door. A scream came out, as the guy's fist smashed into the metal door. He stumbled backwards. Kitty reappeared with a front kick to the guy's chest. He momentarily lost balance but as Kitty was about to finish him off he produced a knife and gashed her arm just below the shoulder. Kitty's kick reach it's target and he was left unconcious. By this time, the people had already witnessed the comotion and were proceeding to the roof. Kitty's wound was bad and she left, descending to the ground floor and througt side of the building, disppearing into an alleyway. She never realised that her fight was witnessed. "The cops can sort them out. I need to get myself fixed up here" She thought.

Who can't like songs like Thriller or Smooth Criminal or Beat It....and the list goes on and on and on. One thing I really loved was his dancing... boy can he dance!!!! Michael Jackson is a great artist
Originally posted by Sere Tuscumbia Whoo, Delian, get a CLUE! It WOULD matter who kissed who, because if you're friend is innocent, you can't go getting all hot and bothered at him when he didn't do anything! If he DID kiss HER then . . . a sledgehammer and his head should be very good pals. ~!*Sere & Co.*!~
Well get this...It takes TWO to tango. His girl cheated on him with his best friend...That's the bottom line...They're both at fault, regardless, yes...regardless of who initiated the kiss. As for the second time. That's just adding more insult to the situation. In the heat of the moment does NOT justify or excuse the fact that they both are to blame. O.K sure, you might forgive either or both of them, but please don't tell me you can still trust them or be loyal to them when obviously they're not loyal to you. That's my view anyway. I just don't tolerate cheating. Maybe it's just a difference in our age gap or something.
-
Does it really matter who initiated the kiss. If the other person had any regards or respect for their relationship with you (whether it was friendship or otherwise), they wouldn't have gone along with it....and twice of all things. If the girl was getting it on with your friend, the least she could have done was let you know about her feelings towards your best friend and set you straight about your relationship with her.
-
You mentioned that your girl cheated on you with your best friend twice. Why didn't you dump her after the first time... These things should not be tolerated. If they did this to you once, you know that they'll do it again (or she will at least), no matter what disgustingly sweet apologies come out of her or your best friend. Considering you believed them, they probably thought they could get away with it a second time. People like that don't deserve respect or consideration. Cheating is one of the lowest things you can do in a relationship...and with your best friend involved...well, I just find that insulting.

Oh I can give you another embarassing story....Although it won't top Lady M's....Anyways, it was at work and it's very corporate, so imagine walking through the lobby past the lobby cafe, where quite a few meetings are sometimes held, and the buttons of your shirt pop open exposing..... well quite alot actually... I had to quickly bring it together and button it up in the bathrooms. Hehehe...It's moments like these....you need minties:p
