You know that if you guys didnt believe this dude you could have just not responded instead of possibly saying stuff you would have never said to babygirl. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for the way youve acted. If you didnt trust him, ignore his post. Im sorry about your loss, and instead of feeling the way everyone else does...I will trust your word. and I dont know if you guys noticed but that was harrys last post since.

I actually dont have aa and have never gotten to play it. I have ac2, but I dont have any experience with ac2:aa. I would like to get on it, but I've been on gt3 constantly for the last month. I do feel obligated to post about this because of my love for the armored core series. It is the best mecha series in existance today and only a hand full can keep up with this series. I love the controls and the general quality of the game. Overall the most important parts of these games are the competitions between good ac's in the arena. I know its not in aa, but its in several others, and without a doubt a major oversight for aa. I love ac. I made a thread months ago and barely anyone replied. It was almost heart breaking, but just know this... I will be willing to talk about these games forever. Your not alone in loving these games no matter how many replies this thread gets.

Oh, well since Ive never seen zeta I think it would be best for cn to just not show it. I speak for millions of other "non-zeta" gundam fans when I say that we want nothing to do with this series because of dubbing and editing. I figure, why would I want something instead of nothing. I mean, what is the point of getting the chance to watch a new anime if they are gonna translate it for me and deal with the language barriers that exist. Or maybe I dont want to watch it because of how they are gonna edit the show to meet fcc regulations and make it possible for americans to watch the show on cable. I dont know, maybe Im being silly, but what ever, atleast I know for sure that Im a hardcore anime fan who can knock on even the greatest of gifts to cable...

Dude, wheelchair all the way. Shoot, of course there are draw backs to it, but the fact is, your asking whether I want 3 years of pain for atleast twice as many years of happiness, or just a few years of happiness with only death following. I guess I hope to live a full life and not a short foolish one. But thats just how I see it, not nessacerily the best way to go for everyone.

Actually I have had a theory of my own about this same idea and its close to harry's. My take on this is that the universe isn't really expanding. It is actually just that everytime humans figure out how to look further out, we see something new. We can not find a "wall" or limit to the universe, so we can not say that the universe itself is growing. All we can do is take a look at what we know is out there, place it on some sort of coordinate plain and then watch to see if it moves. If it moves, that merely indincates movment of said object, not a growing of the universe itself. I basically believe that there is a god, he is in control of powers humans will never understand and the infinite nature of the universe is an example of that. I believe that we see something new and further away everytime we can look further than we did before. The biggest problem with discussions like these are that even the Phd. holding scientist who theorize on this subject are split down the middle, one side believing the universe is expanding, one believe it is collapsing. Everyone has a different opinion, but the fact stands that no matter who you are or how educated you are... this subject is pretty much up for grabs. And those scientist I just mentioned... they should be working on cancer, aids, and fossil fuel replacments... not this crap.

Uh yea, I think I would just fade back into normal life with the money of a famous person. I could then do anything I dreamt of and give anything I knew I should. All the idealistic crap I've been reading is just, well... crap. Kill yourself? would you really wanna be remembered as an idiot? You can do that and still live a long life. Or an anarchist? You better damn well be the biggest, strongest, fastest, meanest, smartest person on the block... because everything I am would be pushed to the side just so I could take advantage of you in every way possible. Then we would see if your anarchy was worth the gang-rape of your wife, the murder of your family and the forced slavery of yourself. I think as a famous person, I would just be a normal person with lots of money and the chance to make good on all my promises.

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements
Kent replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
Oh this crap is going straight back to the old cn bashing that got me all upset in the first place with the fools in the first yu yu hakashu thread. It was so long ago, a person I have made ammends with came out and said that a bunch of newbs were gonna pick up on yu yu like it was the new stuff that only they understood. I think that cn is a cable channel who has 2 jobs... 1. Bring cartoons to the watcher. 2. Obey the FCC. I figure that no matter how bad they screw with yu yu, they will never be able to change the fact that even I, who has seen only the cartoon network stuff, knows it is a great show. Change the subtitle translations all you want and in the end I will always give the same story as you. Yuske is killed, he becomes spirit detective, he fights 3 demons, befriends 2 of them, fights 4 more, defeats them.... and then it ends because we havent gotten to go any further. Sad thing is that I wouldnt have gotten this far if cn wasn't willing to edit and air this stuff. If they didn't edit this show, it wouldnt be on air. And be honest with yourself, would you really be the yu yu fan you are now if cn hadn't aired it so you could check it out. I doubt it. I think that a reality and humility check needs to be made. If it is, then alot of cn bashers will realize that they are getting the chance to enjoy the animated beauties like yu yu and inu yasha (not to mention the up and coming giant robo week) with out paying or begging. I owe cn for what they have given me, and I know enough to know its not polite to bite the hand that feeds you. -
Well its about time I let you guys know what your missing. I figure I've got to considering all the crap on the boards and yet no one will take the time to watch this show for the superior writing it contains. Its possible that you guys just dont like it, but at that point you could atleast tell my why... Considering the fact that debate is the heart of some much on the boards, I would think that this sort of contravertial show would get alot more attention. A struggling gay male, a crooked cop with a good heart, a clean black female doing her best to protect the innocent and a cache of other situation based stories that make this one of the most complex shows on cable. So what do you guys think? Holy ****, I cant believe this show, I just finished the last episode and it is amazing. I really am in awe and Im constantly waiting for the next ep. I guess you just have to watch to know.

Well I can say that I often wonder about this very same question... I have only played and gotten into one rpg deeply. ff7. Big mistake. Yes it was cool, but not for the beginer if you ask me. Yes it was easy to pick up, but it also was way off in many sense of what a first timer would want. Example, chacobo racing and breeding and all that crap with the casino.(what ever it was called) I think that a linear game would be best for a beginer. In games like ff7 there was so much space and so many items to collect that were vital to proceeding through the game. I think that from the way it sounds, ff X would be a good game for ghost of salvatore and I to start with. (or start over with again) I still would like to hear about what everyone else has to say.

Well hell yea endymion, Im just glad to hear somebody acknowledge the crap that every race had to endure at some point or another. Its been bad for everyone at some point. Some more than others, but everyone gets their share of suffering. And I think this fits into the acceptable stereotypes theme because of how people will generalize and stereotype people without the knowledge of history. That is why I always get upset when Im generalized into groups of british settlers who did a bunch of horrible things in the early american years.

Ummm yea, I think Im next in line behind heavens cloud... Any time you wanna bring it on lady mac, I'll be ready. But for real, Im also with heavens cloud on the whole idea of white guys being dorky I mean, dude! I have so many barry manalow cds. And my life size cut out of steve erkle, theres no reason that people wouldnt wanna have my style. With my super fly penny loafers and suspenders, I get mad chicks. But unfortunatly I actually not as cool as a just explained... Im actually just a plain joe. Since Im a plain white guy, that means Im game for any stereotype and insult you can think of... Plus I dont care enough to defend myself on a day to day basis.

Exactly what tn said... thanks tn. Plus, chibi trunks got to train in the intense gravity that his dad trained in and that was bound to help. And he got to have a day in day out sparring partner from goten, who was never born in the other time line.

Yea, drinking can help you do alot of stupid stuff. I've cut and bruised myself what feels like hundreds of times, but I'm actually sorta lucky. Only a broken toe, a little one at that. Oh yea, I also have really bad knuckles because of the temper I had when I was younger. Atleast I eventually learned to never use my "fist."

Funding pre-college education is money down the drain
Kent replied to Harry's topic in General Discussion
Well I gotta say, I really appreciate your willingness to address such a difficult problem in todays society. In many ways I feel very similar to you. I also want to stress the fact that there are many of these children who are falling into these problems of culture and with that, they are only worsening their own situation. We need to start development on morals and ethics, not the aspects of popular culture that are taken for being valuable qualities. Military school is an excellent idea, but unfortunatly, there are people who oppose the idea of the government giving people money to spend on their own choice of schools. I think addressing these problems in an open way is the first step towards correcting these problems... not the politically correct tip-toeing around on the subject. -
Originally posted by wrist cutter People take Irish jokes a liiiittle too personally it looks like. Obviously there's more to Irish culture than alcohol and leprachauns... people just joke about it. THEY'RE JOKES. Not funny, I'll give you that, but what can you do.
I thought this would be a good time to bring up what I could do... Maybe I could stage a rally or protest about the treatment of the Irish in America. I could use the history from when my people showed up in America, which you need to learn about if you dont know.(it gives a background of the fact that we were once discriminated against badly) I could also use enflamitory rhetoric about other groups of people who are stereotyped as drunks, yet if we talk about them it is seriously taboo. I could even sue the corporations that currently exist in New York city where so many Irish people showed up and recieved the discrimination I speak of. Of course Im not a little whiney political activist. (Im just whiney.. :D ) Point is, I dont really mind the stereotypes, I just like to point out situations like these, where some of the more liberal people often dissapoint me. Oh well... thats just how life is.

Sounds cool to me, shoot, I dont know what would make me think someone would want to see two pictures of me... but I guess I should still give all the left wingers a chance to see the face they hate so much.

Wow, France is against war because of morals... I thought it had to do with the uncollected millions in economic dealings they have already done with Iraq. I mean, its not like france buys oil from Iraq or anything... Then again, you never know. Maybe the Mirage fighter jets Saddam uses to practice his chemical weapon dispensing sorties aren't from france. Maybe the french are actually into figuring out a way to dodge war the same way they did when they came up with that brilliant idea about giving poland to... oh, I forget his name, it's on the tip of my tounge... oh well, maybe someone else will remember who france tried to appease. This isnt about protesting a war to force Saddam to follow his own words of a peace agrement, this is all about protesting george bush. I think everyone should go and check out what the resolutions call for... I can tell you one thing about them. They don't call for the U.N. to prove Saddam has something and then destroy it for him. They call for Saddam to prove he doesn't have anything. I don't really want this to be another Iraq thread, but I guess it's turning into one.
-
Yea, I'm with tn on this... Its obvious that W. Bush needs to be in the feild with an M-16a2. I mean, its not like we have some sort of volunteer army or anything... I dont think our conscript soldiers should be forced into something like forcing Saddam to dissarm. An obvious standard of war is to send the leader into combat, I mean, we all know that Bill was on the front lines in Somalia and piloting the warplanes while waging war in Kosavo. And I think the most unfortunate thing about this situation is that all of those peace loving souls who protested this weekend are going to be forced into personally fighting a war in Iraq. I feel for them, I really do, they are just so unlucky to be stuck with the burden of fighting a war to uphold the terms of a cease fire that ended a war.

Well I only want to put up 4 pics at most, but it will most likely be 2 or 3. Ahh! crap, Ill only up one if its all I can do, but one reply later I will post another so that I dont double post. So I really want to know what I can do. Thanks for your help, -kent

I was wondering if I could get directions about how to put several picture attachments on a post. Im going to be posting my picture in the next day and wanted to do more than one. Could I get a little bit of the old " attaching multiple pictures for idiots" guidance about how to do this. I was hoping to post the pictures soon, but thats all not very consequental. I just want to make sure I can do this right. Thanks for your help, and remember... I have trouble with everything on the net, so dont take it easy on me... give me in depth descriptions that are simple to follow. No crappy half butt descriptions please... thanks again, kent

I've sorta noticed that there are stereotypes that aren't acceptable and ones that people just dont care about. Fact is, I'm Irish and and everyone who thinks they are funny tries to make jokes and insults about Irish people being drunks. Or people from the south (america) are considered in general to be redneck trash. Where is the political correctness, shoot, where is the general respect for your fellow man. I know you all have stereotypes that you fall into, but who here falls into one of these stereotypes that is "o.k." to talk about? You know, one of the groups of people who get killed and its not considered a "hate crime."

I like them both. Action based can really draw you away from the traditional rpg that made people like me not like them for a long time. The action based games give you a feeling that your playing an action game and not just another rpg. However, the turn based game gives the player more access to exactly how they want to play the game. (IMO) The turn based also sticks to a more traditional game style that, and tradition can also be cool. I think that having a mix of games makes for the best experience. If you only play one, your missing out.

I dont always agree with you harry, but I do like your style. This post is to the point and addresses the current world situation in a way that is good for the first post of what will be without a doubt, a politically charged debate... just what the boards needs. Im gonna let everyone else do the arguing for now, but I will be back if things work out in a way that interest me.

Actually I very much am in the same situation as you. I love to mountain bike. It was my one passion where I used to live. I could spend an entire day on the trail working my *** off and love every minute of it. Now I have moved away from Virginia, and live in Louisiana. This place is one big, flat, swamp. Not exactly mountain biking country. I also suffered a similar problem with my other activity of choice... lacrosse. Down here in the south people actually dont even know what it is. So needless to say, I dont have anyone to play with.
