Ive seen this flick. Its got alot of good elements to it, and I love the relationship between the two bros. I also really liked the non comercial feel of the film. William defoe did an excellent job as that detective. Overall, I really liked the movie.

Nah, its over. 20-3, thats way too far back to pull the come back. In fact, in super bowl history the largest gap for a team to come back from was 10 points down. I dont think its gonna happen. Shoot, just now as Im typin there was an interception for a 44 yard touchdown. Its over now. Just a matter of how bad oakland is gonna lose.

Well, I can say for sure that the "best villian" thread is against the rules. (which you might do well to read in all forums) As for the create a villian one, I dont really know if I would allow a thread like that. Usually the reason behind closing such a thread is something to the likes of "ends up being a spam fest." I will say, on a side note, that this thread would have been better if you had just left it off the boards and sent a private message with the same content to a mod. That means this thread will be closed also. My best advice to you would be watch your post quality. read the rules of each forum or just one or two so you get the drift. And most of all, dont take closings personally. I have had threads closed and it does suck, yes, but there is always a reason.

Ahh yes, the booze. I will probably be in my room with my lil bro with a back or two of chips, dip, some buffalo wings and a 12 pack of bud. I personally think score wise, the game will be Oakland 24, Tampa 21. But with the way things go, the luck of the moment and my total lack of any sort of football knowledge... Well, I could be wrong to say the least.

Well, when I said what I did, I didnt mean to do it so that people would just start naming all the animes we know of. I was more trying to be sorta sarcastic because Im seeing so many anime titles that aren't rare. That, and the newb type move of just looking on a page like anipike and putting down any names that appear there, which they didnt know about. I know everyone here is honorable, but I was just trying to get away from the 5 name post with no content. Lets actually talk about some of these little known animes rather than just put down every name we can think of.

uhhmmmm, naval lint. Everyone knows thats what sara loves to play with... Uh yea, that was a joke. On topic of an obsession going too far, I would say I dont really have any obsessions. I think its best to not allow yourself to become obsessed, that way you never have the inheraint problems that come with obsessions.

Well hey, if you like them its all good. I did say its a thing of personal choice. But for some reason I see something odd about being hell bent on getting something, when you dont know what your gonna get. I mean, its not like this is a car, where you know what kind you want and not what color. We're talking about a permenant marking on your body. To me it seems people are using tattoos as accessories. I personally believe that if something changed your life enough to be worthy of a life time marking, than it would have probably left a scar on you in the first place. Plus, babygirl, I would say your way too pretty to ruin it all with an ugly tattoo.

Dude, ed, that is the shiznit. Alf. gotta love it. But I gotta say, that will have the ladies runnin alright... in the oppisite direction. But not a bad idea, no doubt about it. I say forget the dragons and the butterflys, get the alf.

I think I would only do a tattoo representitive of a life changing event just as mentioned before. Like, from what I understand, some of the airborne units in the military get a shamrock. It represents the luck they must have since they managed to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. I do however believe it is a personal decision, so if you want one, go get it. Just make sure its not a mistake. I also wanna mention that I really am sorry for anyone that has a tattoo they regret. I mean, I bought a bike that I regret buying and it makes me sick to think about it. So... I really am sorry if anyone reading this thread has a tattoo they regret. I also wanna remind you that there are procedures that can remove these things with laser surgery and what not.

Ive got a new idea for this thread. Instead of putting down shows we think are rare or unknown, lets start naming the shows that arent rare or unknown. Shows like bubble gum crisis and gun smith cats are in no way rare. We need to stop just naming the anime titles that seem rare and maybe, just maybe, talk about the title which are called unknown. That way we can actually learn about them and find out if we wanna get our hands on a copy. What do you think?

I only know of pl because of seeing it in the video store. I think this show is probably just another show for the guys interested in the bathing scenes, which always work their ways in for no reason what so ever. The only hope for this program is that it has a story that is good enough to keep it from being just another series for the pervs.

Well, basically I wanted to talk about tattoos. Im wondering what you guys think. Do you have any? Do you want them? Now, as for me, I have none, and dont think I ever will. I pretty much believe that tattooing something on you is a mistake. Its never gonna go away and its their for life. I might think about it if I did something like joined the army or something. But otherwise, I would never desacrate my body in such a way. I also have a lil bit of a problem with the recent trend in tattooing which leads westerners into the field of eastern symbols. Most of the time these people dont know any sort of eastern language symbols/charactors except for the one they were taught by the tattoo artist. I mean, at first even I thought it was sorta cool to see the charactors, but that was before it became the trend it is. Plus, I like symbols like that on paper, not my body. Of course, the bottom line in this is that its your body and your choice. Your not hurting any one else that should make it alright from a third person perspective. But from a first person perspective, I would say, never. Not in a million years. So what do you guys think.

I kinda wonder whether the topic of this thread is the episode "vegetas pride" or the pride of vegeta itself. I would say it looks like both, and so I will comment on both. As for that individual ep. I thought it was excellent. The art quality and the charactor insight provided by this episode are both worth taking the time to watch. Now, for the subject of vegetas pride itself... Well this is one of the more in depth subjects in dragonball. Vegeta has always been a charactor that was so tied to his pride that the story is always working around it. Whether fighting freiza, cell or buu, they all got a taste of vegetas pride. I think the best example of charactor development which occurred in the dbz story was in the 12th movie, when vegeta and gokou were fighting janenba. It was just after vegeta showed up and tried to fight janenba by himself, he lost that scuffle quickly and ended up in a huge pile of spikes trying to recoperate. Gokou got to him quickly and the two exchanged words... it was in this dialoge that the event occurs. Vegeta actually begins to cry, not because he was beaten down, but because he couldnt do what gokou was trying to do. Although niether were succesful, vegeta felt ashamed once again due to his inability to succed were kakarot failed. While vegeta is crying and venting himself aloud, telling gokou about his own feelings of failure, gokou says something to the likes of..."ah, I would expect nothing less, vegeta, my prince of saiyans." In that one speech it becomes obvious that vegetas pride is so important through out the whole series, that even gokou has come to respect vegetas pride. Vegeta is with no doubt one of the most complex charactors in the series and for that reason amongst others, I will say that vegeta is a wonderful asset to the db series.

Some how I manage to wear "nice" clothing from "preppy" companies, but I still always look desheveld and "bumish." Im thinking thats sorta nice simply because no one can tell who I am based on what Im wearing. I also think its an excellent idea to have uniforms, plus it gets all the girls into skirts... he he he.

Alright, Im not a big football fan, but I thought it would be cool to get some guesses on whos gonna win, what the scores are gonna be and any other stuff, like what your doing? I personally dont really know, but Im gonna go for the raiders of oakland because my brother developed a little bit of a "fan-dom" for the raiders after he made that his regular team on madden 2003. I also just like the name he came up with for their quarterback, rich gannon, whom he call the gannon cannon. So what do you guys think?

I also saw the commercial for it, but unlike everyone else, I dont really care too much about what cn does to it becuase if they didnt bring it to me, no one would. And like I also say when it gets into that discussion, something is better than nothing. On the subject of hack sign, I think this show looks to have promise. The charactors all look pretty good, although I will admit that Im not a fan of markings on charactors faces, such as the ones on this show or zoids chaotic century. But the plot of the show sounds like a good one. The real judgment for me will be based on the execution of a convincing story.

I personally was only a sonic fan because of the game. The cartoons I saw in America weren't all that great to me. I do hope that this cartoon makes it to me through some sort of free means, and I hope they do a good job of making a story that is really good. I dont mean to bash, but from the group pic above, this looks like it may be another kids anime thats meant to go straight onto (what channel is it) cable airing in a line up with the power rangers. Dont get me wrong, cartoons that do it for some might not be good to others, so Im not gonna insult, but this looks alot like the same sort of cartoon as digimon or beyblade as well as about a dozen other animes that air on "kids channels." So like I said, hopefully this show will have a story worth watching rather than animation that is great.

Ive just found out some dissapointing stuff about this game... It turns out that there was originally a lamborgini diablo gt race car in the game but due to ... you guessed it, legal reasons, the american version didnt end up having this car. This is becoming a real aggrevation to me because through out the past with the other games there had been other cars that went through the same ordeal. I guess I should also mention the progress Ive made in my game. I am now over half way through with about 53 percent complete. Im kicking the games *** to put it bluntly. Oh yea, asuka, your dad has good taste in games.

I think this could have easily gone in the saiyan names thread just below this. Its an interesting observation youve made, but I would try to get this moved into the other thread, that way people get to see it and respond to it rather than just see it in a closed thread. I say that becuase this will most likely be closed. I also should mention that "kun" is a common name used in the original versions of db for gokou. So there is a good chance that there are many different views on what gokous name means and what puns were intended with it.

That show was in Louisiana, my current state of which I reside. It also wasnt hunters... they were cops killing rodents called something "nutrius." (sorry but I dont know much about their name or what they are, they are a major problem here.) Also, I thought that part was wild cause the cop he was with was using a silenced .22 That sorta bothered me, but I dont care. I mean, why should cops be held to the same gun laws as the individual. I mean, its not like a cop would ever use a silenced weapon on a person. Anyway, yea, dave exposed LA in an odd light, but what ever. I like all the eps. and usually watch all the insomniac I can. On new years eve they did a marathon that wasnt too bad. Actually, it was good.

This has been asked before, but topics like this should be discussed more often. They make us think about what we value in life. I personally would die for my mother, my brother, and my step father. These people make life worth living to me. As for the rest of the people out there, I could never say. It would be the heat of the moment that decided. Sorta like a yuske saving that kid sort of thing. The heat of the moment can lead to anything, so I dont know what I would do in terms of anyone besides my family. But as for my family, I wouldnt just die, I would do anything. Its also important to remember that most of us will never get the chance to save our loved ones lives with our own. That is the worst part... not making the decision.

Insomniac, This is a great show. It airs on comedy central late night, well, actually about 10:00. But anyway, Dave atell is the funniest ever. The show is simple. Dave goes to a different city ever show and each time he explores the night life. All sorts of different stuff. Bars and more bars are the usual. But he spends a ton of time around people most of us would never chill with. Places like fetish bars and tattoo parlors. Even worse places come up and some places that are just great. But then again there are also places like nude-ist parties that have a bunch of nasty naked old folks. If you've seen this, its the funniest damn show on at this time. If you dont know about it, find out... Go and watch it, and remember, its not for the young people.

Actually, if you watch anime in general (english that is) you will notice that voice actors are often cast in several different series. In fact, if you watch lain on tech tv, I believe you will hear the same voice of gene doing some random kid in a bar. (heard it last night) Or if you watch dangerous missions on history channel (non anime) you will hear that the narrator is the same fella is the man that does the voice of jet. (it was so suprising I checked it out and it turns out that the last name of the guy on both programs is the same. Maybe homeboy is using two different first names, or the two are brothers, but both have the same last name.) Either way, my point is that voice actors are in a circle of people and once your there, that is that, and you have a good chance of getting more work in the same field.

Well thats ok with me. I dont mind not having a custom rank. I can also see why its bad for a board to allow. But I gotta ask, what is the highest rank and how many post?

I thought the movie was alright, but I get tired of the tragic stories. All of the time in anime stories end up with this sap story. Problem is, with a series of manga you can do a "sap story" but in a 1 hour movie its too hard to capture the same emotion you can develop over a long period of time with a manga. So I would say that this movie was only ok. I hope I get to catch the tv series asuka was talking about. But for now, I would say that in the over all, x had some great qualities in the story. The power sheild and the powers the individuals hold. Those are great ideas. I also loved the individuality of the charactors, each person seems to have a specific role and identity. But when you take those elements which are honed in a manga and cram them into a 1 hour movie, you end up with something that is... well... half baked.
