This is a good question. But I gotta say, although I love dbz to no end, I dont think I would put any dbz villians up, mainly because the best villian in dbz was vegeta or majin buu. Buu doesnt deserve this title and by the time vegeta showed all the traits that made him truely awesome, he wasnt the "villian" he once was. Any way, best villian in my book can't go to just one guy. I wanna say that there are many worth the title and so... I woulnt give the title unless it was an annual contest or something. So just to name a few of my favs. Vicious: the bastard is heartless. The Politicians in Akira: they represent a greater problem in society in general) Shin "master of southern cross": how can you get worse than trying to kill your friend and then stealing his fiance. This topic intrest me so much that Im gonna have to come back and edit with more. Be back soon.

I just wanted to say that I know I get a little out of hand when it comes to comparing parties. I dont really mean to, its just that my whole life it wasn't about politics for the democrates I met. (which was everyone except my brother and mother) It was about a grudge against the government for things like vietnam and the conditions for the less-fortunate in America. I could never handle those people for obvious reasons. Well maybe its not obvious to every one here so I guess I should mention for everyone to check out what the "great society" was and to check out the political affiliations of the last presidents to get us involved with wars in south-east asia. (hint: its not the big R.) But thats still beside the point, because even in an apoligy to say how bad I feel about bashing democrates, I come up with more bad stuff. (I would give some bad republican stuff I know but thats what they call "giving your enemy ammo", Im not gonna do that) So anyway, Im sorry. I guess Im just a little to indepent for my generation. (that gen being the new age hippy/anti-government types) Point is... (jeez it takes me forever to say what I mean) Im sorry.

Well now that a good number have come forth and told their stories, I thought it would be time for me. I dont mean my story, but actually my theory. See, I feel like I was pretty much right. Heres the deal. I felt that the majority of us on the boards were almost in a sense even more ourselves on the boards than in our usual lives. All of us on here that will be twice as outgoing, while in our real lives being shy and withdrawn. (which is me, but Im much better now that Im out of highschool.) I figured that the above mentioned "shy" person would be the person to most likely explain themselves in this thread. So, like I mentioned my prediction was close. But I'm wondering where all the butt heads are who are only jerks on the boards. Wait, maybe thats me... I dont know, but Im sure that on the boards we are all excepted and thats why its always easier to be ourselves here instead of the real world.

A true Muslim once said, "the truth will set you free." I believe that, but I dont think that has anything to do with how easy things will be in making the decisions that must be made. Personally I dont really know what to tell you in terms of advice. Secrets like the bigs we may be hiding, are the sort of things that never go away. We can put them on the back burner, but they are always there. I hope you can manage to work through any and all of your problems. But most of all, let this be a lesson about who you can trust, or even more over, what you can trust them with. some people deserve all the trust in the world and some shouldnt be told anything of importance. The decisions are all up to you. Good luck and I hope you make wise decisions.

Well, see my thing behind what your saying is simple. Besides abortion and other murderous acts (its not like abortion isn't supported by MANY republicans in cases of rape and incest), democrates do the amount of controlling only more because of all the taxes implied. Its also important to acknowledge the facts. Very few of us (especially on the boards) have our rights imposed on and trampled in any ways. Its even more important to acknowledge the honest need for the government to look at everyone who is a possible supporter of terrorist. Whether its openly militant black muslims or saudi's here on an overstayed visa, right now every one needs to be checked. Its even more important to notice that people complain about not being safe but get made when action is taken in the most practical manner (the above mentioned). I think its a hard comprimise to deal with, but in any case, its always nessacary to take some action during a time of danger such as now. Plus, when it comes to gov. getting involved with you, what way is more obvious than taxing. I mean, we get very little censorship in this country and their aren't many other ways for them to get involved besides a persons own illegal actions. Fact is, taxing is not a good thing. Its completly needed to run a gov. so it will always be there. But over taxing so you can throw money at problems like education has no effect on the problem (as seen with the previous adm.) and it creates a greater need for more taxes to make up for increased spending. Plus whats the point of doing stuff like raising min. wage when you increase taxes that end up knulling out the raise in the min. wage. Oh thats it... to create inflation. Its simply this, both parties have problems, but one offers solutions and the other just bitches about how someone needs to fix them. Oh yea, I meant to add that the draft before viet nam was inacted by another democrate named FDR. (applies to an earlier thread)

Ok, Intresting for sure. And credit is due for the effort. But... I have to write my answers here. 1. trying to blend in with the masses, drawing no attention in any way. 2.suprised, it is a pop quiz! 3.tired from my weekend of partying 4.take it of course... no change to quiz. 5.take it of course... no change to quiz. 6.either hating the girl that turned me down, or loving the same chick with the best dance of her life. 7. books, cd player, and a note book full of anime drawings. 8.uh... whatever happend to jeans and a tee shirt. 9. what are you talking about... roleplaying during school. Uh aren't we supposed to be working. Ah forget that, teach me to play. 10.rich beyond anyones wildest dreams to rub it in someones face. no change. Now those are my answers and I bet some would be on someones elses answer sheet too. Although I still say... good job on the quiz. I sure love those girls that chop up the gym uniforms. Oh yea, could you do a good generalized stereotype of my charactor. please.

I wanted to bring this up after a small part of another thread got my attention. This post is supposed to be about who we are, on the boards and in life off-line. I found it intresting that there are some of us on the boards who believe the person we put ourselves up to be on the boards, is not who we actually are in real life. This though applies to the nicest of us on the boards and the rudest. I am personally seeing why such a thought would enter our minds, and I'm begining to believe it myself. It seems that some on here act like they care, when they most likely dont. I dont want to generalize too much, because I know the people here care. But the question is, would we even be friends (the people of the boards) if we hadn't been doing all this stuff online. I also want to mention that there is a population of "not-so-nice" people on the boards. I'm willing to bet that even some of them aren't as rude and disrespectful in real life. Maybe due to the fact that the boards remove you from face to face conversation, maybe because some of us need to vent our stress. Who knows. All I can say is that I wanted to explore this topic. Who we are on the boards .vs. who we are in the "real world." I know that it could be hard to get an honest answer since we are on the boards, but with that in mind I would like us to aviod saying "oh, Im totally myself on the boards." I would rather have us just talk alittle bit about the differences (if any) that exist between the personality you have on the boards and the personality you have off-line. Hope this makes for an intresting discusion -kent

Hey, anna, thats actually not a crazy ramble (kent melts away because he loves republican women) But yea, infact on a side note, the last draft was enacted by democrates during vietnam. So dont get too hard on the right for defensive stuff. Which I read that you support. Any way. Just thought I'd come and put that up for you, about the draft that is.

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements
Kent replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
Well thanks for getting to all the stuff I had asked about. So now its up to me, and the others (look of dedication on my face) I should say here and now that I wish for discussion on the new stuff, specifically this "reign" For starters, I know its about alexander the great and his exploits, retold in the 21st century. the animation is by madhouse, who did vampire hunter d and trigun. It was thought up by the fella behind astro boy and metropolis, as well as the guy who brought us that oddity "aeon flux" and another dude who came up with card captor sakura. From the pic I saw of the actual action, unless its not a screen pic, its pretty obvious that the guy from aeon flux had a good bit of creative input. Its a style that is unique and deffiantly not the cliche anime style. Oh wait, Ive just found out that the pic I saw is not from the screen but its actually just a picture from the box cover. any way, the first couple of eps are about king phillip (alexanders pop) who is... well, lets just wait and see. Unless anyone else has seen it, let just see how it goes once its come on. But for now, Id just like to talk about the style of art, qaulity of story and anything else that the animeheads on the boards might know. thanks. -
I've always wondered why bgc didnt come up more on the boards. It was one of the first animes I got into when I started to really explore the genre. Its actually been so long since Ive had the pleasure of watching the series that this thread has brought back an old love for it. So... Yea, I loved the series, and its worth checking out for anyone who hasnt seen it yet. Although I must say that there are other series which are semi- similar and better. Still, I say its a great series.

Well frankly I cant really come up with much for you. Most of the best gag gifts I could think of are gags cause they are perverted. for adults only sorta thing. You know. Not to be used but funny to give and embaress the reciever. so, yea... sorry but Im of almost no use to you. Ill come back and edit if I think of anything good. otherwise, buy them something nice that they could use. Thats always nice too.
-
Well, that sorta depends on your age and the age of your friends. What are they if you dont mind? That could make a world of difference.

See, baby girl. What you said kind of reflects the crap stereo types I was talking about. Republicans want people to have their rights preserved. Nobody wants people to be poor or trampled. Its just bad publicity put out by third party types that dis-like republicans. The whole idea of stereo types on both sides bothers me. Whether its a democrate running on the race card or a republican on a firearms card. Both parties are much more diverse than what the stereo types permit. I honestly believe the people on the boards do want to stick up for people. Thats why they dont need to hide behind a party that puts itself up as the "party of the poor or minority." The people on the boards are good people and honest (for the most part). Its just sad to see all the stereo types. I know I am guilty of them. But atleast I admit it. (but then again, stereo types allow me to think that anyone on the southern coast of calif. would think just like what you said.) (please dont hate me for this stuff, baby girl, I dont know you, but I dont want you to know me because you dis-like me. although after this, it may be too late.) I sorta wanna put up some facts to fight stereo types. Like idea of republicans being the party of the rich. did you know the richest politician in the country right now is a republican? but heres the anti-stereo type. know who he is, Micheal bloomberg. He switched his party 2 weeks before the election (to republican) so he could get the endorsment from guliani. Or did you know that the head of the DNC, terrie mcaullife made 100,000 into over 2.8 million on a "shady" florida land deal. Same fella did something even less publicized and even more shady just recently. Less than 3 months before the fall of world com Mcaullife turn a 1 million dollar investment into 18 million, all with world com. Im gonna think of some republican stuff that fights stereo types. (like a gun control republican or something) But think about terry mcaullife next time you think republicans are the party of the rich.

Yea, I dont even think I can stress enough how much I liked this game. I beat it now, and Ive gotten a bunch of stuff. Im working on beating it with the other charactors too. Its really a great game. As for the begining, its not really all that hard. And the gameplay itself is actually pretty nice. It doesnt bog you down with lock-ons that are hard to control. But it doesnt give you a hard time trying to attack the correct target. It really is one of the best hack-n-slash ever. All I have to do is get my hands on dynasty warriors 3 so I can figure out what the diffinitive game of the genre is. Even if one is better than the other, lotr:tt is still an awesome game that is going to be in my personal collection first chance I get. I must say that its an odd type of replay value. The kind thats not based around unlocking hidden stuff (which there is a little of), its more like the replay value of a tetris. Just plain out fun to play, keep you coming back for more, no need for secrets, replay. Im not gonna go on too much because I wanna see what everyone else has to say.(threads are no fun with just one person) So, whats up? ------------------------------------- Came back to mention that I have beat this game down now, and its mostly all unlocked. Ive got all the codes, the hidden charactor and of course that means all the levels including the secret are beaten. I haven't however, beaten the game with all of the main charactors, most of the moves and what not are unlocked for the elf, and the dwarf is still getting work, but the human has gotten everything. Now I have to beat the game with the elf and the dwarf, its gonna be alot harder. Oh well, keep the post on the game coming I love it.

2-Pac: Better Dayz..this album may get you wonderin)
Kent replied to Jinzouningen17's topic in Noosphere
Oh Im sure. two pac is dead. Hes dead like elvis. Elvis isnt alive. Hes dead like hudinie.(SP?) With no doubt, hes dead. Silly fans wish he wasnt, some are just plain stupid. Just cause you write stuff saying... oh Im comin back, doesnt mean you are actually gonna fake your death. Dont you think he would have faked his death in a way that wouldnt have involved the coroners office and a bunch of gun shot wounds. Even if you think thats not enough, it doesnt matter. do you really think his associates could keep a secret of this magnitude. I mean, there would have to be atleast one stupid kid involved in the recording process who would open his mouth. I mean, if he faked his death, anyone who knew could easily make a million bucks off idiots by writing a book. Hes dead alright, dead like punk. Dead, but everyone wishes it was still alive. btw, did I mention that Jerry Garcia is still alive? -
Damn! this game is beautiful. I couldnt believe it. Tons and tons of enemies, no slow down. Amazing graphics. Flat out, this is one of the best ps2 games out there. I couldnt believe it. Only beef... too short. I rented it tonight at about 10. Its two o'clock right now and Im on the final level. Even with the short gameplay, its amazing. The game tops the list in games to buy, well, atleast for right now. No matter what, I suggest this game to everyone. I know that the people here havent played much of it, because if the boards had, there would already be a thread. So, have you played it? What did you think? If you haven't, ask your questions. Bottom line. out of ten, I give this game 8 or 9.

Thats interesting, I never knew much about australlia and politics there, besides one thing. Although almost everyone hates america, australlia is full of descent people who have always supported my country. For that I say thank you. But I though I would mention, does anyone remember britians economy going to hell after the big labor party take over and then margaret thatcher bringing it back to life? Or what about asia's economy, specifically japan. I mean damn, selling all those cars in america and still in an economic slump for the last, what, 15 years? jeez. Sorry, didnt mean to get up and change the subject. I much preffer the democrate/republican discussion. And so... lets get back to that, my bad. Just a reminder. Im the big liberal republican. Yea, you heard me right! just go read my justification on the first page.

I dont know. It looks ok. It will probally get old like tn said. But most of all, the stuff android 17 mentioned. Plus, on that site, the opening pic is mystic gohan. Yet hes not in the game. What a jip! I think they should take their time making this stuff, the sales may be there at first, but with a crap game the sales are only there at first. Now with a classic, the sales will always be there. (hell, gran turismo 3 was the number 3 selling game for the ps2 a couple of weeks ago according to tech tv. Now thats selling a game!!) But this thing. No ss3, no majin buu, no fusions. what the hell are they thinking? Thats like having the otaku boards with no anime section. They probally meant to do it so they could release another game a year from now. I just hope the negative comments here, by me and others, are proved to be silly and not true. Hopefully the game will be awesome. Something tells me that I will be let down if I expect anything less than poop.

Anime Cartoon Network Line-Ups...and anime on television announcements
Kent replied to Syk3's topic in Otaku Central
Hey, what about the good old g.i. joe at 12:30. Although I know everyone woulnt consider it anime, (its not) it should still be on the cn lineup just because its only one more spot to fill in after g gundam. And its an action cartoon aired during the midnight run. Plus, on a side note. What happend to outlaw star? And, for the people who have asked these two in other forums. When or will they bring back the tenchi stuff and the gundam wing stuff? Oh yea, this wasnt a bad idea. Centralizing all the cn discussion. good call. credit when credit is due right? well then... uh yea, you get it... ---------------------------------------- dang man, one last thing. do you think we could delete some of the other threads on this subject to "de-clutter" the boards? And could we get some discussion of the new stuff to come going? specifically the reign series, its the only one Im not really farmiliar with. -
I also wanna say that I think the story line was good. Yea sure its not the god father. But its not totally predictable or a complete waste. I think they made a perfect blend of all the elements of a good anime. story, art, charactor development, and action. I also have to say that they do a good job with the filler eps of the series. Although not as good as the fillers in oh say, cowboy bebop, they were still good enough and far enough apart that you never really wanna miss too many eps. That is only if you've never seen it before. If its another trip through the series for you, you may wanna skip the start of the series, but otherwise, its a great series. I'm sorta dissappointed that the discussion here has subsided so much.

My god... I am truely in awww. No words can descibe the shock on my face to see how many people are republicans. I totally thought this entire board was full of democrates. I have found my home. Do I really even need to say where I fall? Well just to make my place even more clear, I wanna say exactly how I feel. I am a liberal republican. I am very individual in all of my beliefs. I believe that the rights of legal regestered gun owners should be preserved. (we need to go after criminals) I believe that many "crimes" are a big waste of time for the gov. to enforce. Namely MARIJUANA. Its not worth breaking up a family, even though I must admit I dont smoke it any more. I believe in the right to have an abortion in cases of incest and rape. But not as a last ditch effort for birth control. I believe homosexuals should be left alone to do as they wish, I just hate have crap waved in my face when I never tried to suppress something in the first place. I believe the military is an absolutely nessacary element of any nation. With out one, you are weak, flat out. I also believe in being judicious about using that force. I believe in giving to charity, but not being forced to give. I wanna keep my money for my family and I, then after that I will consider helping the less fortunate. I believe the enviroment should be cherished. But putting legislation on every new car does nothing if you dont bother the 18 wheelers doing all the enviro-terrorism. (we need to use hydrogen) I believe that people should have all their civil rights preserved, but I dont like the aclu sticking up for nambla all the while ignoring the middle class white kids being suspended for putting patriotic posters on their lockers. Most of all, I side with republicans because all I hear all day long is how democrates want to help out minorities, yet they never really do. first black secretary of state. Black national security advisor. Those positions weren't given out under any (d) administrations. Yet the current adm. doesnt even bother to point out what they have done, nor does anyone acknowledge it.Also a black sec. of education. And bush 41 put in the first black joint chief of staff. Plus that chessy lie about rep. wanting the rich to get richer and the poor to be poorer. or taking seniors medicine away. Thats all crap. rep. just dont sling enough mud, like that snake handling carvell. Plus, when eisinhower tried to integrate public schools, the distenguished gentlemen from tenn. (d) voted against it. coincedentally this fella had the last name...Gore. (father to you know who, and sad thing is that its true) Of course, there are actually many other reasons I consider myself a republican voter. But there are even more for why I am in the middle of the road.
-
Sweet, this all sounds great to me. This is what alot of us have been waiting for and I would say just about any wait is worth it if we can get new stuff. I personally want to see the "reign" show. I dont know anything about it really besides the history of the real alexander. It should be interesting to see how they depict the history of alexander the great. (now thats a name)
-
Phisical exauhstion (sp?) Lots of tiring exercise. No matter what it is. It always makes me tired if I go running for a long time or have alot of sex. Either way, phisically get tired and the mind will want it. But you have to wanna get some sleep. Oh yea, one more thing. RELAX

A nice girl friend. Btw, sctrach9, lacrosse is the best. I used to play for my highschool team. Any way. A nice girl friend, thats all I ask.

I think the only "prophecies" worth checking out were those allegedly recorded by nostadomas. Im sure plenty on the boards have heard of him. Hes made a bunch of calls, but they all had to be translated so it makes one wonder if the translator could have been looking for certain things when he/she did the translating. According to story, he called the discovery of america, kennedy's assasination, landing on the moon and many other things. I mean tons of other stuff. He wrote about 2,000 "proverbs", actually more than that, but they were all close to stuff that has happend, and its really a matter of what the translator says. None the less, of all the prophecies out there, nostradomas is one that is worthy of checking out.
