No. I've never beat a game in the aracade with one quater. I managed to get amazingly far with one on the original virtual fighter. But otherwise, I havent done anything really nice. Of course then again there is time crisis. I can get all the way to the end on that, and Im sure I could beat with one quarter with a little practice. But for real, I have never done that. Simply because I dont play games in the arcade that I have at home.

Something very close to this happend to me. I had a buddy that was only semi close to me. Fact is that I didnt like him. But this fella, named spencer perkins, got shot in the face and spent the last week of his life in a coma. He was shot because he tried to keep unwanted guest out of a party. Some "gangstas" roled up and shot him point blank. This all left me with mixed feelings. In one way I hated spenc because he gave a good friend of mine herpes, but at the same time, I knew he was a normal white trash boy. Either way, a punk ( I woulnt mention race to avoid racist stereotypes) shot and killed him. The guy got sentenced to 1 year in prison and 10 on probation. I've hated alot about the way things are since then. but no matter what, I always try and have faith in justice. Although it doesnt exist. cough. o.j. simpson. cough. sorry, I know that was off, but I had to vent.

I wish tekkaman would get some air time under cable or something. Ive seen very little but I really, really, really, loved what I saw. I thought it was truely awesome. But I hate having to spend 5 dollars to rent or an astronamical amount to buy these movies. I just wish these animes were more accesible to the average joe. Thats why I dont hate funi for bringing dbz to us on cn. I just want anime to be brought to us more often, if the anime is that great, I will go out of my way to get the original. But atleast give me the chance to check it out before I take the plunge. Shoot, can't I just get alittle anime to be brought to us correctly. I mean, I know how fist of the north star ends, but did showtime beyond really have to stop their eps. at the half way point... hell nah.

No No No, see, to me, the whole draw behind these charactors we are calling "sexy" is the idea of being close to real life while still being far from real. faye, mai (kof), they are both close to normal, but far from regular girls. No women could hold up to these two if they were real, (well, maybe heidi klum, but that doesnt matter). Point is, these charactors examplafy what sex is to us. I can't speak for the girls, but for the guys, these charactors are nothing like real girls. No women is like that, its just not natural. But for some f'd up reason, we like that stuff. Maybe because we have this odd idea of what good looks thanks to calvin klien and mtv, but either way, we have these unreal ideas of the ideal women. I am personally happy to admit that I have no ideal women, but for alot of fellas, the ideal sex symbol is unreal. These charactors are perfect examples of that.

I know its not ROLW, but I know a couple worth mentioning. Outlaw stars opening. Yu yu has a chessy one worth a sec. cowboy bebop of course. Most of the stuff on adult swim. The original opening to the later dbz eps. I think something like "we've got power" But most of all, that opening to outlaw star rocks!

Well, I know its a bit premature of me to mention this, but I dont think this feeling she has was simply from one incodent. I think this was probally the peak of a long hard time. Things like this dont bother you unless your already bothered by other things. She mentioned all the things that were bothering her, and I think they are valid reasons that many people feel and have felt. I would like to hear some more about exactly what is being felt besides the usual stuff or the things that were mentioned, but the bottom line is... I want to be a nice person in this and not just a jerk trying to trivialize the feelings homegirl is having. I just feel bad. I know that sometimes its not just a single thing that makes people feel bad. Its dozens of events like this one that eventually get to a person. Make them feel bad and eventually, the smart ones of us, vent.

I've felt like that for a long time, I dont know what to tell you about how to deal with it. I still haven't figured out how to deal with it myself. But I can tell you this, you aren't alone. You aren't odd and you dont need to feel like you are. I dont think anyone can really deal with those sorts of feelings with out trouble, but I hope you can manage. We all feel like that sometimes, and just remember that things always get better. I wish I could put my feelings across better, but there are limits to what I can do with the net. Typing on here will never be enough to get across truely heart felt thoughts.

Ya know, every time I watch another ep. I fall deeper and deeper in love. (not just with faye) but with the show. Its so deep in the emotional sense, and I always find my self feeling madly depressed when I watch too much. I also gotta say though, one good ep and Im wishing for more every time. Oddly, even the "filler" eps are great for me. I love the light hearted eps like tonight with the heavy metal queen. Dont get me wrong, I really love all of them. too much. But I also love seeing the humor they can do in the show. Its such an individual humor. Well the truth is, I just cant put into words the love I have developed for this show. Laugh, cry, all of it. Especially cry. It truely is one of the best anime series ever. And it actually didnt do all that bad a job of crossing over to english. But I dont even want that subject to come up. sorry. Bottom line. Its a beautiful series. No words can do it justice. But even with all of the depression it causes me... I can carry the weight. see ya... space cowboys.

Ya know, I really feel ya on this. The end of that series was a change for me in life. Its so amazing, I just never manage to get over it and even though I have it on tape, I just cant bear to watch it. I really love the series and the end. As much as I wanted it to continue, I guess that was up to the creators and they decided to end it when they did. Oh well, either way, I also love the series more and more as I see it. The ending fits the show, and the final song fits the ending. (god its sad to hear and watch)

Well Im replying here again to say, I have no clue anymore about anything in relationships. I managed to settle my "deal" with the girl I mentioned in the thread earlier. (shes great) But I gotta say, the way everything came together and the way I thought it was gonna end up, were slightly different and totally unpredictible. Bottom line for any girls here. I.M.H.O., find out if the guy is a "player", if he is, do everything you can to ignore him, listen to your brain and not your heart. But if hes a "shy guy" or one of those "guy friend types" go for it and be open/honest. Things will never be easier than with that shy guy. He will love you for who you are and for longer than you expect. (that might be good or bad) Either way, dont make the mistakes so many other girls do, stay away from the jerks.

Well, its also on the border of being spammish. Plus, A.T. signed off on the series and he is responsible for the charactor design. Although I must say that for the longest time I felt the same way as you. I also still have a little of that in me. But its not a big issue to me now. Now its just a series of db that I havent gotten to see all of and until I do, I woulnt pass un-informed judgement. Oh yea, last thing. Enjoy the boards.

I want to come forth and mention that I didnt put this up to say, one is better than the other. I still like dbz more. But I put this up to see what you guys thought of the evolving nature of db. Its getting more violent and the action is getting much faster. Its also starting to show a bunch of artistic style that would end up being used later on during dbz. I think that the fight .vs. gohan was a bench mark for this stuff. I also noticed just recently that I saw a frontal view of gokou that becomes very common place in dbz for the first time. Its that view with his head and face looking forward, but his body is at an angle that is facing forward, but angled just enough so you can only see one of his arms. Its sorta hard to explain, so, sorry about that. But the point is about how much db changed in the time it was on. As mentioned above, eventually we are gonna get to the rest of db and that stuff is gonna be even more violent and fast paced. To talk about db and the change that occured in the violence level. That was the main reason for this thread. But I gotta say, I dont mind anything that has gone on in the thread so far... so, please continue on. I just wanted to stop back in on the thread.

I'm willing to bet that it has to do with several factors, but the over riding one is one I have no evidence to support. I propose that it has to do with the length of a "season" on t.v. and 26 might just be the magic number for any show that wishes to be aired on a once-a-week basis. I figure there are 52 weeks in an "american" year and 26 is half that. That makes for a coincedence wouldnt you say...

Well I know that what I say wasn't nge because I would have been able to call that. But the stuff I say, even though I was farmiliar with it, and it was quality, I cant say what exactly it was they will show. I wish I could but for now, let me say this, it was quality looking. I dont really know how to go into much more than that since I cant give a title, but I know that its not old. Im gonna look into it as much as possible now because I personally want to know, but when or if I find out more, I will put it here right then. I suggest everyone else keeps an ear out or atleast checks an ep. of extended play during the daily running to see if you of you guys and spot what show or movie it is they are gonna show. btw, it was deffinatly more than one of what ever it was, movie or show. But for sure, there was more than one style. I hope you guys can help me out with this, cause tech tv doesnt seem to be hyping it much yet, but we will see. Lets just do any net researching we can and then just try and be patient.

I saw the commercial for this. It all looked like good anime. Specifcally, stuff that hasnt been aired by anyone in america. Some was familiar, some wasn't but it was all really quality stuff. Really nice looking, I wanna stress that. The segment is gonna be called "anime unleashed." It looks like its gonna be really good, and none of it is of the usual stuff. No dbz, nothing like that or anything else aired on tv in america. It looks to be nice. If you wanna catch the commercial, I caught it during the afternoon daily airing of extended play. Try and catch it, cause it looks like this stuff is gonna be nice. Till I hear more... bye

Well in that case, my suspicions were right, yaoi is just what I had thought. I gotta say I dont mind missing out on it, Im just not really into that stuff. I'm also not really a wrestling fan, so really its just a matter of ultraman. I think it would be a good idea to bring this section to the otaku public, but if you guys dont I respect that desicion. I also gotta say that I would like to see that stuff though. Even if Im not into it. I would still like to check out whats going on. But of course like I said, its not a really big deal if you guys dont wanna "share." Yup, now they are showing G on the mid-night run and Im glad. I actually pick up on more of the emotional side of the show the more I see it. I really do think this is one of the best gundam shows. Maybe not to all the gundam heads that have seen all the different series. But its awesome to a guy like me who has only seen 0080, 0083, wing, the original and maybe some other stuff I'm leaving out. I'm just saying the story is an original one, which gets big points from me since it could avoid the same old story. Plus its got a great emotional story between domon and rain, master, and kioji. Overall, I cant stop giving G praise. Its just a great show. Although I would be foolish if I didnt acknowledge the fact that it is still not perfect. But honestly, I dont ask for perfection. If you go into something looking for perfection, you will always be let down in the end. So instead, Im taking it all in, waiting to see how I feel and then evaluating it. I would say G is in the evaluation stage at this point and its not doing badly at all. Or atleast not nearly as bad as some in the thread have made it out to be.

Ok, I stand down on the subject of who is who in the tekken world. You guys can fight over whos best. Also sircanealot, if my honest apoligy wasnt enough... but if you were replying with that to be funny, than Im glad we can all get along. (I would never give you a lemon marange pie, my fat *** would eat it long before it made it to you) But I do want to bring up the idea that this is a tekken discussion, not just, Im better than you back and forth. So the question is... Do you guys actually have anything to discuss or is this thread dead?

O.K. I can't give answers for all because questions like these take time. But I will try, plus, I like this being in the sony room. Gameplay- I would say, that I dont know. Off the top of my head its a mario game. maybe m64 since I havent played the gamecube version. Story- minus the chacobo racing crap. I like ff7/ res. evil. Interaction w/ enviroment- metal gear solid. (since I havent played two) A.I.- socom:navy seals. those dirty terrorist bastards are rough bitches flat out. (only in higher difficulty levels) Graphics- almost impossible to say. Too many styles, from cel shading to realistic, they are all a thing of personal taste. Weapon/ Vehicles- well thats a bad question. Vehicles goes to gta 3 vice/ ace combat 4. Then weapons goes to one of the first person shooters like bond on the 64. Sound- couldnt say, I just dont pay attention to that element too much. Except the res. evil series they get it for the creepy factor. Length- my say is... well no, I have no fav. If I can beat it, its too short, if not, its too hard or long. Creativity- I would say gta but its not original, gta is just an idea of what someone would or could do in an immoral society. So creativity goes to the makers of... oh I shouldnt say, Im not a hard enough gamer to make such an important call. Gore/violence- thats like asking what game has the most individual feel. Its almost impossible because its really about how the individual deaths affect a person. Anything with blatent decapitations or obvious inerds is on the violent side. My person, off the top of the head, resident evil, any of them. Nothing worse than zombies tearing you apart. I also want to mention that if I was to do this same thread I would have broken it down on game subject. Fighting, FPS, roleplay, flight, adventure, etc... not on game play and what not, because each different genre is supposed to play different. So its hard to judge on the same level.
