Interesting for sure. I actually had to write an essay on this topic for my eng 101 class. I basically said the things everyone else has said. How odd. The pursuit of individuality only to end up being part of a group. I say its better to be an individual in the masses than just another in the group. Plus, I think peircings are nasty and a desecration of the temple/body. They are also just ugly when their in odd places. I will never forget this girl named mary that I went on like three dates with and every time we went out I had the perfect moment where we were alone. It was the time to make a move. I knew she wanted it, so it wasnt anything difficult to do. But then, every time I looked over to make the move, I saw that damn eye brow ring. yuck! I never could do it when I saw that thing. It just grossed me out. Well needless to say, we didnt go out any more. Oh well!

Well I guess if this is ok in terms of thread subject and what not, then its ok with me. My day was just about fine. I was kinda bummed about dbz going into a rerun thing as of tomorrow. I also got to sit around and play video games during breaks from studying. All in all, I dont do much. If Im not at school, Im studying or playing games. Although, I do go running all the time now. I end up doing around 3 miles every time I go and hopefully its gonna get easier. Does anybody else on the board do exersice or workout or whatever during their day. Whats your motivation. Is it that typical vanity or desire to be desirable? Or do you do it for other reasons. If anyone responds to this exact question I just might comeback to speak of my own reasons (not that anyone would really give a...). Any way, so yea, Ive got no life, but for some reason I still love it. Oh well.

Well I would say that I have no hang ups about gettting involved with someone of a different culture or race. I've been involved with a jewish girl and that wasnt anything big at all. We barely had anything different between the two of us besides her being an orthodox jew and me being a confused irish american that still didnt identify with any religion. I would have to go with valen. As long as you "love" each other, things are fine. All though I must say that some times those differences can make for unpredicted troubles. But those troubles are nothing true love cant over come. I gotta say though, since I want to answer the whole question, I dont think I could ever get with a guy. I dont think I need to justify it, but to use the words of homosexuals Ive heard, Im just not like that. Still, its all good if you want to get with anyone. As long as there are descent and honest reasons for your relationship, then everything is just fine. Oh yea, endymion, I feel ya. I was and still am sometimes, the guy friend. It just happens to some of us. But I feel ya... I really do.

Definatly more enjoyable, yes thats for sure. But never safer. But like you said, no debates. Just thought I would mention.

Yea trans nerve! lol... thats just plain funny, and sad at the same time. But then again, its even sadder because its true. just kidding. Personally I like to ride my mtn bike in what spare time I have. If not that, then I like to play video games and of course... watch anime.

I think martial arts are awesome, Im not even gonna get into anything I know, but I gotta say... Their not very usefull if your not a really good "martial artist." I think alot of people taking, Oh say, tae kwan do, are gonna be in for a rude awakening when the first thing that happens to them in that horrible situation of a street fight is a punch straight to the face and a kick to the nuts. What Im trying to say is that sometimes the martial arts americas train in act as a false sense of security rather than an honestly defensive technique. Although I also must say that if applied properly, the arts can be very useful. I personally think jeet kun do would be the best, but not for every one, and that includes myself. I think its just a good idea in that, it supports an idea of no style. That would be the best style.

Yea, I know the movie, but because I am so political I will refrain from saying too much. Bottom line is that I have a personal beef with the maker who also happens to be the author of a book called "stupid white men." I dont like him at all. Hes extremly liberal and with no real reasons behind his bias. Oh well, Hope you guys enjoy the movie. Although I personally believe that if mike moore is gonna stand behind the first, then I should be allowed to stand behind the second. **** Ive got a 22 and Ive never thought of killing. Same goes for almost all of my relatives. To me, its wrong to pick and choose which amendments you think are ok.

There are also some things that seem nasty when you are young but become much better when you are older. This (in my opinion) goes for, but is not limited to, all vegetables, and beer. When your younger beer is just nasty. When your in highschool, its just what everyone drinks to party. But one day you realize that you dont need to get drunk and there are beers that actually taste good. Do it enough and almost all of them will taste good. You grow to like it. Its almost like that horribly disgusting habbit of smoking. First time and its cough cough cough, eventually your puffin like the best with no trouble. (btw, I really think smoking is un-attractive and just nasty, I dont do it) I would have to say my personal "take backs" would be the vegetables. I never really dis-liked them, but I never loved them. Now I love to eat vegetables.

Ah ha! just kidding. But for real, I dont have to worry about this except maybe once in a blue moon. The real curse I got from my mothers music is that when all of my friends discovered certain types of music during high school, I had been listening to it for the last 10 years thanks to my mom. That meant I was just plain sick of the crap. It was mostly classic rock and really alsorts of other stuff. But needless to say, I would rather have mi madre listen to rock and roll rather than anything else. Long live rock. sorry for the rest of you though.

Im not sure about killing them, well actually, yea, Im sure. Thost people shouldnt be killed. They didnt do a thing wrong. However, I do feel that they would be willing to use the weapons just because, its not like they invented or learned how to build that weapon so they could help humanity. Oh no, if you learn how to design and build nukes, you have nothing in mind besides destruction. On a side note, My grandmother, the wife of an airforce pilot was one of the thirteen people to know the passcode to access the records of the manhatan project. I dont really know much about the story because its my step fathers mother. But I have no reasons to not believe her. Still, these nuke designers shouldnt be killed. Hell, that is especially important if we woulnt even kill people who rape and murder. Designing a weapon is horrid, yes in deed. But to use it, thats a whole different issue, and those designers, all though they should be held accountable, they shouldnt be executed.

So its only six episodes long. Damn, if thats the case, Im amazed. You gotta answer me before I can go on anymore so please hurry back. thanks. btw, I figured it was about the story rather than the art. But the art didnt exactly look bad, so I guess it will or was, a great gundam series.

Well, as much as I want to avoid the back and forth posting style, and the fact that this is getting off topic... I would say it would be possible for him to get the operation nessacary since the syndicate didnt and doesnt own the universe. And since they are in an era where traveling from planet to planet is nothing big, I would figure the operation would be nothing too hard to get. But one thing I gotta know... Were you being sarcastic up there? I mean you werent trying to call into question what I had wrote were you. I mean, you did say you had seen the entire series. Well ok, in that case, I guess I should remind you about how julia shot spike in the face, taking one of his eyes out and left him there to die. Spike didnt die like everyone thought he had, and hence, all the talk about him dying more than once.

You have some valid possibilities, but there are some spots that are just totally bogus. Spike doesnt fake his death. But in honor of not posting spoilers... I woulnt tell you what happend. but for anyone just getting to this, read my first post and give me your opinion. Just check it out as the series continues. It will all make sense by the end.

Well it looks like we've got a new addition to the adult swim line up. 0080. yup, it looks ok, but this one should hopefully be based around the story rather than the amazing art. What do you guys know about it? I mean, its obviously during the war. So that part is the same old stuff. But what about the rest? I dont even know how I could express the feelings that would create for me. I am deeply sorry. I know that if my lil bro was shot I wouldnt be able to control myself. I live my life with my family in mind, and with that element ripped away, I would have nothing to live for. I know that the lil sister of this girl will always be sad because of what happend. I hope she can manage. I will pray for her. But I will also pray that the shooter dies in an even more cruel way. This is the sort of thing that makes me support capital punishment. All I can say is that I hope justice is served, and fairly too.

What ever! I wish I new you, my last girlfriend was cool with me liking dbz but she didnt love it. Oh well. Im not gonna give the same old, lame old, New? crap. I would have to say I loved seeing buus face right after vegito fused and the fear in it. I also loved the face of vegeta after learning that bulma was gone. I also loved the sense of comedy thrown onto piccolo and vegeta in the buu saga. They were always the most serious and its like A.T. went out of his way to fight that, and since it those two (v and p) it makes the rediculus comments and faces all that much more funny. Those are my favs.

Well, I couldnt really even begin to name all of the movies that got me to feel super emotional. For starters I would say... Braveheart Akira (long story) The cowboy bebop series And well too many countless others. I guess Im just a big wussy. Oh well, but as I remember more Im gonna come back and edit.

Well I was gonna put this in another thread, but it deserves its own topic. The long debated history of spike, julia, and vicious. Where to begin, well I would start with a game of pool. After watching and recording "ballad of fallen angels." tonight, I saw and then realized something about the history of these three. If you watch the episode and pay close attention to the flash backs, you will notice that during the scene where julia first noticed spike she was playing pool with... vicious. So this brings me to another point and question from another thread. During another episode (not sure which) and another thread (not sure which), myself or someone else brought up the flash back scene of a possible julia and vicious in bed together. Its true if you ask me. The pool game that julia and spike first notice each other is the same game that julia and vicious were already in the middle of. My theory is that julia and vicious had a relationship before spike came into the picture and that is just one more reason why vicious and spike are such horrid enemies. So, did any of you notice, what do you think? What is the past between the three? lets hear it! Any ideas or suggestions would be loved, I would absolutly love to hear something to further this topic. Please give me your view.

Well, I would have to say that heihachi is good. Of course I should pay tribute to the original villian... bowser then koopa. I would also put those nasty little mushrooms in. Sepheroth (sp?) was great with that sweet sword. also the zombies from res. evil. I thought he was supposed to be portrayed as a homosexual. I dont really know, I would say that the show doesnt exactly fight the stereo types. Of course, I could just say he had a change of heart. Either way, alot of the above threads come close to straight up spam. Watch out, that stuff just isnt cool.

Im not really sure, but I know that alot of stuff in anime is designed around the idea of american stereo-types (usually those are bad ones)... so, I wouldnt be too suprised. But, being that I am a huge fan of db and I have never heard anything of this sort, I would say NO. Vegeta was probally not meant to be an american. Plus, Ive never seen any sort of evidence to support this theory. Would you mind giving a bit more about the source. I mean if it just some friend of yours, it probally just what I said... a theory.

Well, Im not sure I take the qoutes for exactly what they were meant for, but I would say they relate directly to the "meaninglessness" of this more "civilized" life. I mean that in the sense that people have come to live their lives around the clothes, money, cars and occupations they have gotten for themselves. These arent what we should live for... what we should live for, I still dont know, but concerning ourselves with those things alone is not a life at all. As for its validity after 9/11, I couldnt really say. I personally would say it could have many different effects on a person. I would say that these qoutes are good for looking at yourself. Looking deeper and seeing what you are living for. Are you one of the mindless minions, Or are you living for something more important. It could also help to let us see the "real world." With the events of 9/11, people who are still only concerned with the pants and cars are missing out, or oblivious, to the actual world they live in. These qoutes should serve as a wake up to those who are asleep. But, these qoutes also sound arrogant to those who were already "living and awake."
