I dont really know, its quite possible because socialism is really big over there. Plus the muslim party took over peacefully in turkey, and they are gonna be part of nato and the eu in another year or so. So I would say theres a descent possibility.

Ive had a good bit of surgery. Besides some of the worst dental surgery stories possible, I had a sist in my stomach that had to be removed. All of my surgeries were nasty and painful, actually, the stomach one was really bad. Infact, they had to leave the wound open because if they sewed it shut it would have been a big open wound on the inside of my stomach. I had to clean it every day, and it was horrid. although one positive thing came from all of this besides me keeping my life... I got to legally see why people do drugs like morphine. About 10 to 15 minutes before my stomach surgery they gave me one needle of morphine and then about 2 minutes later another. (it was a mistake to give the second, they asked if I still felt pain and I touched my stomach, I did, so I said yea, when they came back to give a third they mentioned that direct contact with the stomach would always hurt, but my body shouldnt be in any pain. Well the first shot accomplished that all by itself. So the second was unnessacary.) Any way, I lived, sorry about your toe. And sorry to anyone who has to or has had surgery in the past.

Well, I dont take matial arts, but its with two good reasons. 1. I dont need some idiot kid tearing my body up when the instructor tells us to go and practice some grapple and I end up with that idiot trying to prove something. 2. I dont like the fact that every ma place around is teaching just to make money. Maybe if I could find the perfect dojo and start with a good style and teacher, then I would follow up on my love for martial arts. Otherwise, count me out. I would rather train at home and learn little things here and there. Plus, learning a "style" doesnt really appeal to me, I would rather learn to defend and fight with no pre-concieved notions of how to do either. That or just learn how to do this stuff through the military. I dont know, but for now, Im sticking to my little picture books called "bruce lees fighting method" one in particular that is really great. "self defense", he goes through all sorts of situations and its a really simple book, I suggest you check this one out in the book stores and see what you think. The others are only ok, but not nearly as good. oh yea, I think there have been threads on this before, but I wouldnt sweat it.

I was actually impressed a bit with last nights ep. about the noh mask. Not because of action or the usual stuff, it was actually because of the development between inu yasha and kagome and her little brother, soto, I think it was. They actually went a little further with the relationship between them and even had inu acting like a nice guy. I just cant wait for next week now. BTW, does anyone know how many eps. they are gonna show on adult swim. Are they gonna show a full season/series?

Well I guess a better question would be, how do I get them. If thats what I need to get the flying cap. I would think I need to find a big red button and ground pound it. So, how do I get to fly?

Well, trans nerve, atleast we agree on one thing. Our opinions arent gonna change. I respect your opinion and you respect mine, and so, I say thank you. I also knew what the taxes were, I was just saying that they do have to forcefully collect them. Thats not exactly freedom, even in america. I also want to mention I think we are all equal and there for I think a flat tax is a good idea. (with the exception of the poor paying their current fed. income tax. which is literally nothing. thats why they dont get tax cuts, you cant cut taxes when you arent taxed to begin with) any way, For real, I want to address the flag... When it falls its symbolic. A good example was glory the movie, at the end, that was a great part. But when the flag falls it shows america has fallen, and it should always be picked up. As for the damaged flag, I only think its ok to burn it if another is on hand to replace it. The man who wrote the national anthem was looking at a war torn, tattered, beaten up flag, not a perfect brand new one. I also think I should mention the one thing that makes the difference. Whats in the heart of those who burn it, if its the hate and treason that hippies had, its wrong to burn the flag, no matter what you do to the stars. But if you have honor and the principals of the country in your heart, it changes the situation. The flag should never be burned if it doesnt have to be, and I believe that if you have honor and good hearted, patriotism in your blood, you woulnt burn the flag unless it must be burnt.

Well you may be on to something, If you ask me, it probally had to do with the fact that the "ritual" was not done. Once it was over, gohan raising his level to go super sayian just meant that he raised his power with any transformation. Well thats just my guess. No actually I dont think he can. But I dont say that because of the reasons others say. I say that because when he acquired his powers the elder kai told him to do that super sayian thing and believe. Then he tried and his eyes turned green, his hair stayed black and his power went huge. Im thinking that the kai changed it so that when he went to go supers sayian (or raise his power to the level where he would transform) he would just raise his power to the full extent of his mystic/hidden powers, and thus, by pass the super sayain transformation. Plus, I only got on animgurl about deleting because this topic is already on the boards and Im sure some mod is gonna close it. Nothing is worse then clutter on the boards that you cant even post in. Lets try to get a mod to merge this one with the other if thats possible. If not, lets delete this one and go with the one that already had been here. Im gonna give a little time to do it, and then Im gonna post in the other so it comes to everyones attention and lets a mod notice the problem. Actually this topic is already existent and at the bottom of the dragonball forum. I think you should delete this one as to not clutter up the boards because a mod is surely going to close it. Once that has been done, you woulnt be able to even edit or delete it and it will just be junk to clutter the boards. Please take my advice and delete. Go check it out, Mesopatania was the greatest civilization of the time (mostly cause it was the first to have things like sewers, writing, writen code of law (hamurabis code) and several other first) Most importantly though, it was a capitalist society, because capitalism is what comes naturally. Work for yourself, keep what you make, or do with it as you with... give it away or sell it. Free market and Free trade. And that is just the first major civialization of the world. Well, I wouldnt have put up a post, but I felt obligated after I saw rick say something about another robotech fan. I felt odd about that because I have long been a robotech fan. I dont just mean that in the sense that I happend to have had robotech toys as a young child in the mid eighties, but also because it was one of my first animes as an adolescent. Now Im 21 and I feel the same way about robotech/macross that I had when I was a kid and when I was 14. Its awesome. So just to let you know rick, your not as alone as you may think. I just dont think Ive taken the time to make a thread about the series. With all this in mind, I want to ask a robotech/macross question to everyone who checks this thread out. What is your fav. robotech/macross series/movie? To be honest I dont think I could put one up there. But do to the fact that "plus" is the freshest in my mind I would have to say for now that the first ep of the plus series was really good. Well, more specifically the intro space combat. Damn that ruled. Any way, I would also say the scene in one of the older macross movies where two gaurdian (I think thats the form they were in, if thats even the right term, sorry) fighters were in a dark tunnel and the only light they gave off was the muzzel flash. Each time they fired the position of each fighter had moved and it made for one bad *** scene. So the question stands. Whats your fav. stuff from the series?

Well actually, I dont think that we "wised up". I think that ronald reagan put some thought into it and knew that we didnt need force to take out communism, but rather, let them take themselves out. communism doesnt work.In the end, it defeats itself. I also wasnt trying to say that the war ended because of the party of president, it ended because of soldiers efforts. My point was that democrates sent us, nixon got us out, and then in 1975, democrates cut off the support that was going to the south vietnamesse. Those arent the actions of smart people, except for nixon getting us out. I hope Im not coming across too political, those are just the facts. But in this thread, right now, Im not intrested in those facts. Im thinking about the irrational hippies. Actually, I really dont think that the majority of those hippies were simply peaceful protest, draft card burners. (but that is something niether you or I could prove in either direction, so I will let it rest.) I just want every one to know how I feel about them, their actions and the hipocracy they represent. Those sound great, unfortunatly I only have the movie 12 (which was awesome). But those titles are sweet and now Im gonna be eagerly awaiting the release of all of the movies, even though they will be funi. it will still be worth the time to watch. Thanks for the list trans.

Well just to clarify, when I say hippies, I mean those anti-war bums who were spitting on my father and his soldiers after they came back from fighting another mans war. (lydon b. Johnson) I dont like foolish passafism, and I dont like people who have the ignorance to hate the soldiers and not the war mongers that put the soldiers there. More over, I know that not all hippies were that exact way, but dont try and act like those people werent the majority. Its also important to know that I take each person for the individual they are. That in mind, every hippie I have met was all about brother hood and peace and love. Until it came time to deal drugs, then it was all about turning 1/2 into 5/8 of what ever drug their dealing. Those people are called hippies for one of 2 reasons in my book... either they are being a hippie because its whats "hip". or because they are "hipocrites". Either way, I have the right to dislike and generalize all hippies if I want, and frankly, I want to. I hate hippies and I hate those that envy and imitate them. Its also important to know that Im not gonna take their freedom or their lives. I also think you all should know that at heart Im a very liberal person who would share many veiws with those people. But unfortnatly, those people are hipocrites and bums. And pepper, if your dads a hippie, I havent met him, so dont take this stuff personally. But I will ask you to go find out if he was doing the protesting and flag burning? If so, I might have some un-just judgements for him. Other wise, I suggest everyone does just what they preach all the time, and let me have my opinions with out being told how to think or feel. Flag burning hippies insulted everything this country stands for. plus, Justin, the person I am was slightly changed and formed because of hippies, and I wish that I hadnt had that influence. Even more amazing, a republican got the vietnam war to end and a democrate got it to start, so what were the hippies doing affiliating themselves specifically with democrates. What I find odd about the hair of these charactors isnt the color but rather the growth and style. I know the rules of a sayains hair, but think about this... gohan- hair grows like a human trunks-hair grows like a human goten- I dont think so, his hair stays the way it is. Like gokous. Of course, I should just go to the final eps. I have on tape. Although, that might not be perfect either because although a saiyans hair doesnt grow, they can still cut it. so what do you guys think. Plus, I think that alot of stuff we talk about on the boards are subjects of speculation that were never really thought about because dbz is a cartoon. The laws of science dont apply.

Well if you ask me, I dont think the flag was meant to be used by a bunch of hippies as a symbol of an evil society that pushes for war. It is true that there are times for a flag to be destroyed, but when a bunch of dis-respectful punks burn the flag to protest the very country that allows them such freedoms... I find it hard to stomach. Although, keep in mind my above post... we all have the same rights, no matter how much I may dis like what some do with them.

Really, I would like to kick the crap out of all the jack *** guys. And whats great is that, I could pull some crap like " hey, I've got a video camera, you guys wanna let me kick the crap outa ya and tape it. I'm sure it'll be funny." And then those idiots would just say..."oh hell yea, lets do it" Then I would get no resistance and a chance to beat them like the jack a$ses they are. Although I gotta say some of their stuff is funny. But, trigger happy is twice as nice.

I personally believe phish sold out. Not for the reasons everyone else gives, but because their whole "scene" went from being about awesome music, to being about the drugs in the parking lot and the fanboys competing over who knew more trivial crap about the band. As for any other sell outs, I dont really think about it, because I dont have friends. So instead of hear what others think, I just listen to the music myself. If its good, then I listen. If its bad, then I dont. Doesnt matter to me, when it came out or what place it is, if any, on the billboards. (although, 98 percent of my music has never seen a billboard. except touch of gray made like number 9 back in 80 something.) So, yea, the term sell out is weak, its really just a way for people who have attitude to act like they are cool and were/are bigger fans than others.

Well I dont know about everything you wrote, but as for the gamers helping to develop games. I hear that... Damn I would love to give some insight. Like I know nobody besides me really cares for this idea, but I would love a next gen game for street fighter in the old 2d style, with cell shading. And what about a namco made dbz fighting game, maybe that wouldnt be a disgrace, even if it was tekken with a charactor make over. Or software getting the chance to do the gundam franchise, now that would be awesome. Those are just cheesy ideas from me, they wouldnt even compare to what a group of gamers could come up with. I think the game development community needs to step back and take a look at what isnt there. Stop going after photo-realism, stop attempting to catch specific audiences with games that could be for everyone, and try to get away from trends. If developers could just take the time to listen to the real gamers voice and not the hi-tech wennies who are always demanding the same stuff each time a systems abilites are raised, then maybe we could all have some of the truly rewarding gaming that we had with the games of old. Hell, right now, my ps2 is unplugged and my n64 is in just so I can play mario 64. (which by the way, mario has always been my gaming weakness, and for that very game, there is a thread in the mario board which I would love to see more actice with the hard core gamers voice) Also, gfx can make game play great, I mean its awesome to play games that are just fun to look at. Bottom line, I understand what your saying, but I think that the developers are light years away from realizing the true needs of their real fanbase. Play-ability, not the same old "limit pushing gfx and cut scenes".

Yea, actually I would have to agree with vegeta rocker on this. I do get tired of all the funi bashing. I have long said the same thing over and over. funi brings us something that I would otherwise not get... dbz. something is better than nothing, and frankly, Im getting tired of having to remind people of that. No, I would say its a flag no matter how you desecrate it. I also wanna say that, as much as I may oppose flag burning, it is allowed. I really dislike all who do it, but that is also allowed. Btw, I find the subject odd because there is one time where its ok to burn a flag... your not supposed to let the flag touch the ground, if it does then your supposed to burn it. That may be more a thing of symbolism than an actual practice, but Im pretty sure thats a widly known concept. Bottom line though, is that most who burn flags dont do it out of respect, they do it out of hate and protest. Not just the government, but the people. Violence on tv and the media... whaaaa! Yuppie whining! I still say, with a 56k connection and no money, funi makes it so I can see dbz I would never be able to afford or download. some is better than none...
