Im not too sure about the "gay" insult and the possiblity of it not being used and the result of people accepting gays. I allow anyone to do what they want. I dont bother people about their life style and I dont use the word gay as an insult. But I dont think I accept "gays" any more no matter what the circumstance simply because I feel a moral objection and a "scientific" objection. I think that if we stopped saying stuff like, "oh these men love each other, and oh their soul mates" and instead refered to the action of gay love as... (well I cant even say it on the boards with out being warned or banned),we would be even less acceptant. point is that no matter what, heterosexuals see homosexuals as odd. Unfortunatly, theres nothing any one can do. I think the best way to get away from the problems in our culture for gays would be, well just for a start, stop waving it and pushing it in "our" faces. We dont mind if your doing it, I just dont wanna hear it. I also think working on acceptance is ok, but doing so by showing how different "gays" are is not the best approach. rather than that, show how similar "gays" are to the "norm". Then the bigits might start to see "gays" are people too. Im sorry to go off on the gay subject, its just the first time Ive had the chance on the boards. sorry.

I am truely sorry to hear about that. Its really a shame. Its even worse because usually police in those kinds of situations just prove how incompetent they really are. I live really close to New Orleans, and damn is there alot of crime here. People literally get killed while jogging just so the assailant can get the victims wallet and walkman.I hate these low lives and I know that I wouldnt hesitate to steal everything back if I had the chance, even their lives if thats what they took. I hope everything is resolved for you, Im sorry it happend.

Id like to hear some about germany. They have made a good number of people in the states listen up. It seems their pm. (i think that is the head gov. postion there) won his recent election in a complete turn-around victory after using a harsh stance in support of the anti-war, anti-america crowd. Has anyone else heard about the way things are in germany? Is anyone on the boards from germany?

Yea that is odd, especially for europe. You dont hear about that sort of thing happening too much. I guess armegedon really is on the way.

Hey, if your gonna go with the thats life response, then this whole thread is bunk because... thats life. Really what Im hear to mention is that when blacks and white score similarly on test, blacks get the "goods" hands down. Question is, how much of a difference is needed to make things even. Well when i graduated from high school I needed to get atleast a 1000 on the SAT to match a black guys 700. Thats no exageration either. I also want to mention that income statistics for a black male versus a white male are really far from being fair. First off, the white population is twice as large so even with the same number of poor folks on each side, the whites will seem to make more just because the remainder will be making money, and that means there is a total lack of any input on the minority side to match the exceeding population of the majority. Second, when 80 percent of the prison population is black, that means there is an awful lot of fellas not making any money at all, yet they are still in the equation. "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics" I also want to mention that even with all Ive said above, I still know that it is true that the black male population doesnt make the same money as the white. Im sorry about that and I will always feel bad about what I have because of that. But if I was an insensitive person I would have to say what the post above me said... sorry but thats life.

Today I watched Tony Blair address the parlament. An intresting event for sure. He stated that "current intelligence shows Iraq has mobile biological weapons labs..." My question is how are we gonna deal with that? And why is Tony Blair supportting action against Iraq? I personally feel that it has to do with the fact that only 2 countries are in danger if Iraq goes unchecked. Isreal (spelling?) and Britain. Tony Blair and Sharron seem to be the only friends the U.S.A. has.

I know its the heart that matters, but the truth is that to see the heart of a person you have got to be really close. With the way things are, that means no one is gonna see your heart unless one of two things happens. 1. you look so good people want to get in "really close" 2. some one does what happend to me, and rips your heart out so it can be on display.

Ghost of salvatore, I am sorry to hear about your situation, but, I would much appreciate it if you would clean up your post. Seperate paragraphs and what not. I wouldnt usually say this stuff, but lately I was threatend with being banned simply for doing just what I have called you out on. I really am sorry about the girl and I would heed the advice of the other board members. They all seem to have valid opinions and each have given you good ways to deal with the situation. I just ask that you watch your "post quality". Although I find it odd no one has given you crap the way I got it.(of course that could be because it may not have been about the grammar for me) but for you its simply grammar. watch out, there seem to be a few english teachers with a thing for bad post. good luck with both your situations.

I also agree with darkness and commend him for his personal accomplishments. More over the reason Im replying is because there was a small thing in the wording of an above reply and I just thought Id mention, no one, especially myself thinks theres anything good about the way things used to be. good job every body. I also think males and females should be treated equal, but that doesnt mean we are capable of the same things.

Hey, Bill Clinton dodged the drft and he didnt have long hair. I used to have long hair and I would never dodge a draft. Although I will admit, I have an overwhelming hate for hippies. I had always thought they were always protesting because they cared about the soldiers. One day I grew up and realized that wasnt the case at all. Hippies are some of the lowest of the low.

I cant really get into music where no one in the group/band actually plays any sort of instrument. That means techno and rap. But i think its only fair to mention that if there is a really sweet tech. rythme, i have been known to enjoy it. Although rap, thats a totally different thing. especially since so much of it is based around the demoralization of women. And is it really that hard to write down a bunch of ryhmes and then memorize them. That would be why only free flowing, straight off the top of the head, make it up as you go along rappers, get a hint of credit from me. One catch though, its got to flow with the beat properly. I also dispise anything where the artist is there simply because of how they look... hence, pop. god i hate briteny and nsync.

I would have to say a huge build up to a scene that was a little tiny bit of a let down was movie 12s end. Dont get me wrong. I loved gogeta. I loved how he took out Janenba (damn they were both bad ***) But all that time and effort just so gogeta could fight for all of thirty seconds. Oh man was that a gip.

One problem i have with it is the lack of transformer numbers. Back in the day there were tons of these guys on each side. Now its like 3 on 3 basketball. What the heck? Too much work i guess.

Well spoken and your point is taken. I did not think about the fact that requirments for getting in being lowered doesnt mean passing requirments are also lowered. Perfect example, did anyone hear know that the "distinguished gentlemen" from massachusets by the name of Ted Kennedy got into harvard on his name but didnt get out on that. Infact he was kicked out for cheating. That goes to show, just because you get in doesnt mean you get to graduate. I suppose the only thing left is the fact that only a certain number of people can get into these schools and I took it very personally when my buddies and I had to compete to get into a school and my minority friends who were all equals with me, got in on their lower scores. Oh well... Im just gonna have to try harder, right. But i do feel it nessacary to mention that all schools in the U.S.A. do have lower requirments for minorties. Only a very small percentage of schools keep a completely even level of requirments for all their students.

My thing with the above cycle is that all the tactics used do nothing but lower the bar, and when you lower the bar, overall quality lowers. It doesnt make it so a lower achiever achieves more, it just makes it so the lower achievment is now enough. I dont want minorities to live in poverty. I often feel more than horrible because most of what I have was given to me. But, both of my parents were born poor as hell, my fathers parents were both addicts of some sort and neither had the money to send him to school any where. my mother was so poor they had to use scraps from dumpsters to make their own clothes. How did they end up... My father worked a job until he had the money for school. Then at a community college he worked till he had the oppurtunity to go to a higher school. Eventually he got the chance to go to johns hopkins university on a scholarship and joined the rotc. He then graduated number 1 in his rotc class with an engineering degree, came out as an officer and went straight to vietnam. He stayed in the army until he died. My mother, worked as a waitress until she could afford community college and then payed her own way through school at georgetown university. Graduated with a political science degree and a journalism degree. Met and married my father and traveled the world working job to job as they moved, usually working for the u.s. government in each different country. now me... failed out of school once after all was given to me. took a year away realizing where I would be if I continued this. Defied the statistics and went back to school, now Im working harder than ever before. Where am I gonna end up? I dont know, but Im gonna make sure its not the gutter.

No, it is not at all selfish. answers to your questions, in my opinion. 1.yes it is very possible we end up at war. 2. no, I dont feel ww3 is inevitable. 3. my feelings are mixed on this one. I believe pres. Bush will not be re-elected, but because a republican will not be in office I feel that the democrate elected will still have his fingers on the pulse of the country through silly poles and believe its the right thing to do, and continue to beat the war drum. With that in mind, I think its very possible we end up in a war like vietnam (a quagmyer). Robert macnamera believed we could win vietnam with attrition. And frankly, after the events of the Idraing valley, I dont blame him (there was a body count of roughly 10-1). If or when we end up in that situation, I dont want to be involved (im sure my father is rolling in his grave hearing that). Im not gonna go die for a president fighting a war, who doesnt know why hes fighting it. But, if we end up in ww3, I will put aside my personal beef and unlike the swiss (or those damn hippies), I will do my best to make sure my brothers do not die in vain, but rather in an action to rid the world of one of its worst evils to date.

Well i would say you can attribute this treatment to the political uheaval of the clinton era. See, in America we ran into this thing called politically correctness. It was based around, amongst other things, racial profiling. So now in airports and customs locations, people feel it nessacary to search and hassle those who are obviously not the problem. The above problem with the 9/11 thing has made this country really hard to get through. I know of a story about a senator that had a replaced hip, and instead of telling the security officers, he kept to himself about the senator thing and just mentioned the hip. He was strip searched. My best suggestion for anyone trying to get into or out of America would be to put on a turbin and walk through the airport speaking an obviously forign language that is not of lineage with any of the romance languages. You just might get through then because the airports are scared of lawsuits and any other trouble. On behalf of my country men, I apoligize. I also want to tell you that certain groups of people, get a 10 point curb on civil service exams. This could also explain the lack of expertise in our airport and customs workers. sorry if this stuff makes anyone mad, its just that its the truth.

I actually have a thread about this on the boards as we speak, it was just the title. You see i kinda made it a hiden topic, for those that were really looking forward to the new eps. The thread title is a qoute from the commercial for the new eps. when the commercial is showing gotenks just after fusing, the narrorator says "some times its darkest just before dawn" Obviously no one caught it and for that matter no one reads threads with odd titles. Of course it could be because i also asked a question about a wall scroll i have that is really old, and most seem to have a really low amount of patience. Oh well, i dont even mind. Im just happy to see that other people want these eps. on. Yea, they may be cut up and "butchered" but atleast they are there. Sorry but I dont have the computer power to download all the eps. and I dont have the wallet power to buy them all. I would like to ask everyone to check out my "darkest before dawn" thread just so i can find some one who has seen my wall scroll. Its got to be rare. thanks.

I just find it amazing that this subject has come up and been spoken of with out any name calling and racist stuff. Im very proud of all who have spoken before me, i comend you all. As for the double standards, they are there all right. Im not sure if i want to get into the many that exist on a race level, but on the gender level, i can do nothing but laugh. Fact is that men have more muscle mass. But, when your racing a car it doesnt matter what muscle mass you have. I think women should do what they want and what they can. I only have one line to be drawn, military duties. Women are not capable of the same things as men in this arena because the military is about muscle, strength, etc. If a women wants to be in the military, that is ok. But infantry and special forces should be off limits. Those are postions where youve gotta be the best. And that is compared to the rest of the world, not the rest of the women in the U.S.A. I do feel there are many double standards, infact i feel many of them being that im a white male of middle class american standing. which reminds me, why do i have to do better than "minorities" to get in to college. Like on the S.A.T. test. Oh wait, I said I wouldnt get into the race double standard, I dont think I need to, its obvious to me and I think every one else knows it too. Hey, there may be double standards but theres not much we can do.
