i wouldnt say this quiz is hard at all. in fact i ended up just knowing the answers without any study or looking around on the net. i hope ever one does well. and im not really sure, how do you spell janenba?

prob is the rhythm. once a rhythm is established a skilled fighter will be able to read the next move. plus for a guy who i think said he was taking wing chun, i would expect you to support me saying that jeet kun do is the way to go. also, high falutin' kicks are easily avoidable. the last thing you want is a style or form. concentration on a free flowing, ever changing, ever evolving, unpredictable, unreadable and undefined fighting technique is what any fighter should truly seek. i must also say with that, that using a base of fighting techniques previously learned is an acceptable way to build to a new level. i just believe that text book american tae kwon do, is a good way to score points in the ring, but the other styles mentioned are how a person can defend themselves affectivly. i will admit, tae kwon do will do the job. but when they teach you to put your foot behind the other guys and punch the oppenent in the chest; wing chun practitioners are learning the same move, only in a way that will incapacitate or kill the enemy. this is the real world, not a tournament or a movie. (banna no way... bana no way... , only the strong?)

well i did know about your brazillian style, but i must say; aerial stuff that looks cool doesnt cut it in the real world. also, because of the obvious rythem to capoeria (sp?) its not a very good style against any kind of skilled fighter. if i may i would suggest, judo, wing chun, jeet kun do, kendo, and jiu jitsu. they are all very different and if you can learn them all you would be one bad dude. i have taken tae kwon do ( chessy) and studied wing chun on my own. (good way to get my *** kicked) a better style is the chicken style consisting of one move, the run. i also study a bit of bruce lees writing but they all boil down to hitting a man in the balls or kicking him in the shin. bruces style is the most real world applicable, and so i suggest that above all.

Pakistan, India and that little nuclear mistletoe hanging over our heads
Kent replied to a topic in General Discussion
the threat is real. on my scale of 1-10 its a .... 5. seems like it could go either way. contray to what others say; i say the u.s. stays out. if they want to fight let them. if they go nuke... heres my idea. an unconditional threat to both nations that no matter who goes first or who does what. the nation (if not both) to use nukes, will recieve just that from their uncle sam. only we woulnt be any where around when it goes off. unlike the 2 countries in the subject, the usa is no where near. pakistan and india are right next to one another. they only need little medium range missiles to deliver these weapons to one another, but the u.s.a. we're on the other side of the world. and unlike them, we can make that shot. so before anyone strikes i say we let them know that it doesnt end there, and that kind of move will infact only be ensurring their own demise. i also want to say that no one should use these weapons. u.s., china, iraq, india, russia, pakistan, north korea, tiawan... who ever, just dont let this happen. be honest with yourselves about the world and hope for the best. -
i find the "essay" interesting but, for my taste its trying to be a bit too anilitical in comparison to the subject. i also think that the golden ape makes an appearance in dbz during the freeza saga when vegeta is thinking about the legend. it showed the ape being unable to control the power and destorying himself. other wise, .... not bad.

money, what would we do with out it.... maybe get along.

i was talking about mp the other day. it really is good. your gonna love the first two parts. especially the opening in the first. they cut the scene from the movie, but its in the eps. and if you see it, you will countinue in ahhhhh...

im a dbz nut and i know what your saying. i was into anime long before i got into dbz so i understand. i dont think dbz go out of their way to do that, but they are with out a doubt, some ignorant anime fans when they act like its the only thing worth watching. none the less, when they act like its the best anime "style". i really do love dbz, but its not all that anitomicly correct. anime like cb and akira have the correct proportions of a humans body, or atleast a better one. there are tons of animes out there and dbz is just one more. most people dont even realize that there are plenty of animes with just as much story and just as much action. i still say dbz rules. i just woulnt say its the absolute best.

ah yes. treble and justin are on the right track. my personal feellings are that this life has only as much meaning as you want it to. i dont know about an after-life, but i do know that i can feel things phisically and in a more intangable way. know one will ever be able to answer the ? of lifes meaning and origins. i just want to make it count, not a big will when i die, but a legacy of love and friendship. those may not mean anything in the life doesnt matter theory, but in my life and the lives of those i care for... its all that matters, and always will matter.

yes indeed. i think one of the major driving forces was my intrest in being able to draw it myself. not just the technique of it all, but being able to maybe one day make a movie that had everything i wanted. who knows if that will happen... it was also the visual effects, you just cant make a live action movie that will depict the amazing stuff you see in animes. especially mobile suits and amazing fights.

hey, dont start with the IRA, they have honored a seise fire (sp?) for the last 8 years, none the less, most of their targets were political or military. the al queda that trained, by the hundreds, in afghanistan were just plan killers. only the strike on the pentagon was against a goverment institution, the wtc, thats just innocents. and unfortunatly, radical hardline muslims are not going to stop if we do and their not going to honor any kind of cease fire.

once again i say james is right. this is the second political thread that he has given a good ending note to. lets keep it that way. good job james.

ok ill try to clean up my post but if your gonna insult me with that kind of request. atleast spell, said, correctly. its an easy word we always use. cell shading... i actually kind of like it for now. it makes things simple enough that if done properly, it woulnt compramise the quality of the game and it could just give more room for excellent game play. although... it would be awesome to see a similar game with the same graphics as your average ps2 games. There's already a topic about Zone of Enders II that also discusses many things about the first Zone of Enders. If you want to know about that, check that thread out. I deleted that part in your post about Zone of Enders because I don't want the thread to get off track. Anyway, from this point on, if there's a problem with someone's grammar, I'll point it out. I don't want to see any flame wars breaking out.-Crazy White Boy

well i do want to mention. america does celebrate the holidays or special days if we can. mostly cause we love to get off work. but also because their are alot of people who still think about the people who have given their lives for this country. of course, thats only people like me who are big history nuts. others in my country, according to recent studies, seem to show a lack of historical knowledge and general "social studies". those are my fav. kinds of classes. liberal arts all the way.

well. how did you get into anime. i had a cousin show me when i was in 9th grade. he showed me vampire hunter d and a macross movie. i was in love from that day on. that was about 8 years ago. it was also the first day i ever tried the wacky tabacky :hippy: of course, i had seen anime before it, but i didnt think of it as anime because it was just "cartoons" and i was so young, i didnt really get into any depth with it. how did you guys get into it? p.s. im not doing this in a, ive been into anime longer than you, kind of way. sorry if you got that impression.

if you won 10000 dollars...what would you buy first?
Kent replied to Raquel's topic in General Discussion
i'd save all that i could; but i would buy a new mountain bike. an ellsworth id with disc brakes, king wheels and headset. romic coil shock with a custom spring for my weight. yea, that should do it. now... did any one understand that. -
i hear ya. i had a hard time with it to a certain extent. most of the stuff about mood swings and relationships was there for a more "dramatic" story and just help with charector devolpment. i think uraki was aiming at the feddy weapon in the distance and thats why he lost his position. i may be wrong though. just cause its my fav. gundam doesnt mean i know everything about it. some body please clear all this up. or atleast who uraki was shooting at.

i told a girl riding in the car with me, you can put your shirt up if you want to. when i meant to say, you can put your window up if you want. i also pulled this one, doing a pull up at a jungle gym... bbbrrrnrnbp. ripped a big ol' fart, and a girl that was a good friend of mine was right there. we laughed for a long time, and she didnt stop hanging out with me... maybe she should have.

i am sorry if you were talking about me with the spelling thing. afghanistan. i am sorry about that, i just happen to know how to spell america and not afghanistan. i will continue working on the whole editing process. more important though, its not a trillion dollars. i know it was a ton of money and i know it was more than any other country. its not about who gave the most; its about the fact that we have done more good than bad. watch the footage of the people cheering when noriega was removed from panama. think about the people who lost a hand when stealing under taliban rule. even if america was evil; it would still be the lesser of many.

i say your wrong still. if you keep with current events and im sure you all do; you would know that this exact senario has already played out and the only country that was willing to do what you say, stop selling, was iraq. none of the other arab countries did a thing. they would rather be rich. truth is, those countries only care about each other if their own temporary intrest can be satisfied. they are the oppressive and wrong ones. in the most recent time magizine, may 27, 2002. an articale called "charging rape, facing prison" by hannah block on page 20. it tells the story of a pakistani woman who was raped, pressed charges only to have the hard line muslim gov. acquit the accused male and press charges on her for adultry. shes in prison and her 2 sons and husband dont have her around. you tell me what countries are messed up... but before you knock on us, look at what the world really has going on in side it. and im sorry i even came back; which i just may do to see what you all think.

now i would say this is beyond reasonable debate. obviously, some of the people here are as uneducated as claimed. oil... america doesnt get oil from afganastan. afganastan doesnt even have oil. why do you think 76 oil tried to make a pipe line across. its cause all the oil is in other countries and they need a way to get it through afganastan. i will not be taking part in this thread anymore, there are too many here who think americans are ignorant, when really its all about individuals. this individual knows enough about the current events to know that most of what has been said in this thread is just not true. i suggest all of you go to some sort of school and pay close attention. deranged views that arent true will only carry you so far. you people just need to get your sh!t together.

my fav. gundam series. 0083. i was watching it before adult swim and i will be watching it after. but, i hadnt gotten to see the whole series until adult swim took it on. now, i just wanted to ask if anyone found the ending to be anti-climatic? i was waiting for the big battle and even though there were battles between gato and uroki, there just wasnt that big final fight. ensign shirow uroki didnt even get to keep his job as a feddy pilot. its truly my fav. of all gundams, but after that ending... i just dont know. was anyone else let down?

did any one else see the preview for this game on extended play? it was all cell animation and looked really good. they said that each of the 3 forms of the valkyrie were availible at the touch of a button. lots of action in a big action adventure game based on a side story from the later stuff in the macross series. lots of missiles and a really free flowing action. changing forms with no problem through out all of the game play. this looks to be an awesome game. did any one else see it?

im glad to see someone mention bastard. i really liked what i saw of that show and nobody has mentioned anything about it. i also want to ask again. does any one know some other good titles that have stuff like wizards and knights and dragons and what not. i know of record of lodoss and bastard... any others...?
